Creating Emails in Pages
A colleague of mine uses another company's "publisher" software to create colorful flyers, which can then be sent out to an email list directly from his "publisher" program. When I open his emails, I see the flyer, not an attachment. I know I could save a Pages document as a PDF and attach that to emails, but I really want people to see just the flyer, not have to click on an attachment. Can you figure a way to do that with Pages? I have '08, but could go to '09 if it would be better in this regard.
After you attach a flyer(pdf) to your email, you can right click on the attachment and a drop down menu will appear and give you the option to "view as icon" or "view in place". View in place is what you want.

I was told that I could use Pages to create dynamic emails for my business. A guy at the Apple store said to just export the page I create as a PDF. He didn't say what to do next so I assumed that I should just attach that PDF to an email. The problem is that now it is an attachment and the links don't work. Any ideas?
iMac Mac OS X (10.4.9)Perhaps you should start by explaining what it is you mean by "dynamic emails". The only reference I find to that term has to do with direct-marketing and mass-mailing campaigns, neither of which Pages (or anything Apple, afaik) are set up to supply or support.

any help...thanks.Where did you come across about that limitation? There is no such limitation in built-in send email process and you can send it to multiple recipients with multiple attachments.
When you are creating the send email page process please click on labels to get more help and this is what it says:
- To field
Valid email address to which the email will be sent.
For multiple email addresses, use a comma-separated list. Use substitution syntax if you want to use a dynamic value.
Examples
[email protected], [email protected]
John Doe <[email protected]>, Jane Doe <[email protected]>

SQL statement which returns one or more BLOBs which get attached as files to the e-mail.
The SQL statement has to be in the following format:

How to create a PDF page that displays in Email and contains links to a page in the full PDF.

I was able to create the PDF page and activate links to pages in the full PDF document. But when I test-email both files to myself, the links do not work.You have created links between two PDFs while they were regular disk-based files (I assume using the 'open a file' link action). When they're both attachments to an email message they are no longer in any meaningful 'location'. Some mail clients will extract all the attachments in a message into a temporary cache folder, so they do end up being able to see one another; but others will open each attachment on demand and prevent them from accessing anything else. Attachments are a huge security risk and sandboxing them is always best practice - the result of which is that lots of PDF functions just don't work.

Emailing individual Pages from a Pages doc?
I am mebership secretary of an organisation. Next month I have to send individual invoices to over 100 members. to create personalised invoces, I set up the invoice in Pages and then used Numbers to merge individual members' names, addresses, etc into this document.
Last year I was working on a PC and with Word and Excel and there was an option to email individual pages from the Word doc. It was easy and quick to send out all the invoices.
However, in Pages, it only offers merge to a new document or to the printer. Even if there was a was a way of being able to quickly separate each page (ie individual invoice) from the one Pages doc, I could individually send the emails, but it looks as if separating the pages will be long and laborious.
It has to be easy and straightforward - ie not using Apple script (if at all possible), as whoever takes over this role from me - and who may not be so computer savvy, will need to be able to do this job easily.

Go ahead and Print the Pages document to PDF > Open in Preview.
Make sure that you are viewing the thumbnails in the Sidebar.
1. Click on a page thumbnail in the Sidebar of the PDF document, visually confirm the content, Command-C to Copy.
2. File > New From Clipboard
3. File > Mail Document.
Repeat steps 1-3 for each page you wish to mail.

How do I email a page in firefox? I do not want to send a link, but mail the actual page.
I want to email a page in firefox. I do not want to send a link or copy it to a word or other document and then mail it. Is there a way to do this as in other browsers?
Thank you.Standard email doesn't have much formatting. In fact many people object to receiving heavily formatted email or messages that looks like a webpage. Yes, if you want to send something that looks like a newsletter or a word processing document with graphics etc, creating a PDF file and then emailing that is the preferred method - at least to me.

Sendmail plugin: emailing multiple page document, each page to a separate email address
when I try to email a document to separate email addresses it will not separate the pages, The Sendmail plugin claims (in the page with the "next" button) that it will read each page and use the email address found there to mail that page to that address, but it only creates a multiple page document to mail to the address found on the first page.

I'm using the JavaScript code below for creating an "Email
This Page" link,
but it doesn't work for a dynamic page that has more than one
variable. For
example, if the URL is

does not grab the whole URL. It only captures

in the email (leaving out color).

When I create email link the text disappears
I don't produce websites but I make edits as needed if not too complex. I know this is probably beyond simple but I'm not getting it. I'm trying to create an email link on client contact page. I type in [email protected] Preview in browser. Fine. I highlight the email address. Go to create email button link. Preview in browser. The link is now there but the text is invisible. I'm using DW in CS5. Delete the line. Put the cursor where I want it. I select create email link and type in link name and the email address which are both the same ([email protected]). Not working.
Update: Googled how to make email link in DW and followed the instructions. Everytime I make a link the text becomes invisible but the link work.A wild guess: Your link color is white on a white background. Or your link color is black on a black background. Link colors are usually contained in the sitewide CSS. Without a URL to your problem page, it's impossible to comment further.
