Creating group is good or stablishing new tuxedo envioring, which is good??

Hi all,
i have set up a tuxedo for on server in a branch... now i am going to extend server for other branches....
for each branch's server should i create a group or setup a tuxedo enviornment for each branch's server????
we have around 400 branches... in future we are going to place these server in other branches... i will be waiting for anyone's experienced suggession...

If each branch has a separate server machine, then you will eventually have
400 machines in your application. The best way to configure such an
application is to use the /Domain feature to set up each branch as a
separate domain, and use the GWTDOMAIN process to communicate between
domains.
Although Tuxedo theoretically can allow up to 8191 machines in a single
domain, in practice boot and shutdown times become extremely slow when large
numbers of machines are configured in a single domain, since the boot or
shutdown of every server must be communicated to all machines in a domain.
(Most single-domain applications have no more than 10 machines.)

  • Newly Created Group and Workspace. Can't add new participants to Workspace

    So I have recently created a Group. Oracle_Utilities_Customer_Care_and_Billing to be exact. Now the group has been approved and verified. So a Home Workspace has been created, yay. I added a new member to a group. His membership has already been verified as well.
    The problems
    1.) I can't add him as participant to the Home Workspace. I have been browsing the forums and didn't find anything that I could have done wrong.
    2.) I did create a new Workspace (lets call it W2). I can't add any of the members in the existing group as participant, however, I can add the Home_Workspace.Participant group as a participant. Can't I choose who can join the workspace.
    I read the forums and the FAQs but can't seem to find anything wrong to what I have done. I have also updated the Settings of the group through BOLAdministration screen. From there I can only see 3 members in the group. The 4th one I added is not yet there. In the https://beehiveonline-apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=200:2:736394962014012::NO::: screen the 4th member is there and he is verified.
    Hope you guys can help. We hope to have this working as soon as possible.

    we had a liock file jamming the provisioning process after a jvm failed - I have cleared thia now so all 4 users should eb available in the system.
    The underscores in the Workspace name are vital to maintain the connection between the group and the Workspace and if the Workspace is renamed the linkage will be broken. Putting it back will re-establish the link but you may have missed a user in the process. To get them into the Workspace you will have to add them manually by chosing them in the new Participants area.
    I have manually readded Grant Murray and the group looks complete now.
    There should be a group visible called Oracle_Utilities_Customer_Care_and_Billing.

    No, and yes.  Groups are created on your computer, and synced to contacts.  You cannot create groups on the pad.  But don't get excited, because when you sync over the groups it is very difficult to get them to do anything.
    The good news is that there are a couple of apps that do this pretty well.  I used group email a lot and it works just fine.  There are a couple of others.  Read the reviews.

    I am new to this board and I've had the iphone only for a few days, but today, on thanksgiving, I wanted to wish about 50 of my closest friends and family a very happy thanksgiving I noticed the same thing and came here to find a resolution.
    Next upgrade this is something Apple really needs to take care of.
    Preferably _before Christmas_, otherwise I'm going to have to write those 50 friends, plus texts for random people I just want to keep in touch with.
    Don't even want to think about it.
    Of course I still have the option to use my good old Sony Ericsson W800 I gave my mother, but what does this tell us about Apple????

    1. First create a user like readonlyweblogic using some password in Weblogic Console. In Weblogic Console itself, select this new user and go to his Group Memberships and add a Group named Monitors. This means this user has Monitor role for Weblogic Console. Monitor is a Read Only access role to the weblogic console.
    2. NOW, with full admin privileges user, login into EM Console. Select soa_infra, right click mouse -> Security -> Application Roles. On right side, click green arrow and see list of Roles shown. Select the role named SOAMonitors, click on this. And add a User to this that is created above like "readonlyweblogic".
    3. Close all the browsers. Open a new browser and test weblogic console and em console with this new user.
    I have this setup like this in many envs and they all work fine. They are read only access users for admin console and em console.

  • I can no longer create groups that contain subgroups??

    Folks,
    I used to be able to create a group, drag existing subgroups and individuals into that group, and send emails to all by simply typing the group name into Mail.
    I can no longer do this.
    Now, to be precise. I can create what looks like a group and by dragging existing subgroups into it -- but it no longer functions as a group. When I type the name or drag it (from Contacts) into the "To:" line of Mail, the only thing that shows up are the top-level individuals (i.e., those who I put dragged in as individuals, not those who are only in one of the subgroups that I dragged in).
    If I create a group that only has subgroups (i.e., no individuals at the top level, only individuals who are members of one or more of the included subgroups) then after I type the group name in the "To:" line of mail, the group name dissappears, and nothing appears in Mail's "To:" line.
    The actual behavior is a little more subtle than this but the bottom line is that I can no longer create groups with subgroups.

    If you list the steps you have taken to fix this it will help.
    Have you tried using the File > New Event menu item?
    Have you logged the user account out/ restarted the computer?
    Have you tried un-syncing any accounts synced to Calendar?
    Is there some change made to the computer that may have triggered this?

    Help needed creating a QuickTime movie with the new Canon T5i  camera in iMovie 9.0.9.  The project is done and looks good...I need help understanding what settings need to be set so I can make a QuickTime movie in the highest quality that would fit the ratio of 16.9 to be sent out to my YouTube page.  I played around with some of the settings and have not come with the right setting for the video.  I want the highest quality with the lowest amount of megabytes…thanks

    I would suggest using SHARE/EXPORT MOVIE and choose 1920x1080 (if your source material supports this).
    That should work well in YouTube.
    If you want to go further with custom QuickTime settings,  here are some that should work, but in my experience, it will be no better than using SHARE/EXPORT MOVIE.
    follow the instructions below to create a .mov video that will work on YouTube:
    In iMovie, select Share > Export Using QuickTime
    Next, you may want to check your Options to verify that the following settings are correct:Video settings
    Compression Type: H.264
    Frame Rate: 30 is preferred. 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 are also acceptable.
    Data Rate: Automatic
    Key Frames: Automatic
    Frame Reordering: Unchecked
    Audio/Sound settings
    Format: AAC
    Click Show advanced settings and choose Constant Bit Rate as encoding strategy
    Other settings
    Size: Choose the original size of the video
    “Prepare for Internet Streaming”: Fast Start

  • Problem Creating Partner Link for Adapter Integrating with Tuxedo using JCA

    Hi All,
    This is the first time that I am working on integration tools. I will explain in brief the problem.
    There will be a legacy system (Tuxedo) running which connect to legacy database for requests. I am able to connect to that legacy system using Attunity Studio for getting the response back. Which is working fine.
    Now I want that to integrate with BPEL PM 10.1.2 using JCA. For this I followed this URL (http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/904/how_to/oc4j-jca-tux/onjava-jca.html). What happens here is, a simple servlet invokes a Session Bean that interacts the Attunity Server using the JCA. For that I am using oc4j container of BPEL PM 10.1.2. I could able to work it fine.
    For working with BPEL, I have created synchronous process, when try to create Partner link using Adapter service from WSIL browser, it is not coming in.
    Am I missed any important configuration at BPEL PM end.
    For doing this a followed the "tutorial 2" @ http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/dev_support.html
    In exact way, above provided tutorial 2 PDF, I failed at step "Configuring a BPEL Service to invoke the above Adapter Service" on page 11.

    Something to note. I tried adding the same BPEL services as partner links to a new application and new project on two other developer's workstations, and the creation of the partner links were successful.

  • Can't find a self created group during add group in reporting

    The Operations manager that i am using si 2012. First let me describe what I have done.
    In "Authoring", I have created a new group and added two object which is a Windows server 2012 into the group. Then, I tried to use the Windows Server 2012 report template in "Reporting" to create a performance report. After opened the
    report template, there is an "Add Group" button to choose a group of server which need to run the performance report. I have tried to search that created group using its name with or without the % wildcard. Unfortunately, I failed to search my group.
    I have tried to use just only the % wildcard to retrieve all entries. I still failed to find my group from the list.
    The next thing I did is connect to the Operation manager's database, that is the OperationManagerDW database. From my understanding, all entries of object should be stored in the dbo.managedentity table. I have tried to look up the table which display name
    is my create group but still fail. My created group does not have an entry in the table.
    So, my question is what I have missed to make my group searchable in creating report during add group?

    I have tried your SQL statement and the return is same as what I have experienced when using the Add Group function when running report. That is, my custom group created in the Authoring cannot be seen. 
    I have also checked the OM log but no error being noticed. It seems to be the tables which store the Group created in Authoring is not synchronize with the entries in the ManagedEntity tables. 
    It this a known behavior or my process on creating a custom group in Authoring is not correct? Actually, I followed the steps as described in Microsoft website. The steps is very straight forward and it is not easy
    miss anything.
    Looking forward for your further advise in working out on this. Since I want to generate reports for a group of computers by using the custom group instead of select all computers one by one every time when I run a
    report.

  • Why can I not see any newly created 'Groups' in 'Work Group Manager' on the client Mac at login?

    Hi. Now, this issue has not been resolved since 10.6 Server. I have now upgraded to Mountain Lion and the issue still persists. I used to easily create Workgroups/Groups in 'WGM' and they would appear at login for those users who were part of that group. As it stands the old created groups appear ok and can be accessed selected at the point of logging in. The newly created groups don't show up at all. They all look good to go when looking at WGM. I have tried removing the Users from the groups and adding them again but there is no change. It is getting me so frustrated!
    Why is this happening? Is there a quick fix for this?
    Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

    Hi. Now thats a hard one to pin point exactly.  I guess you mean Archiving the OD and exporting users and groups etc Yes this happened when we upgraded from 10.5.8 Server to 10.6 Server.
    How do I go about fixing this in Mac OS X Server 10.8.4?  Do I have to go through all that again?  Will I lose any settings in doing so?

    After many years of holding out I committed to the latest version of the IPhone hoping to indulge in the new tech that rivaled my 6 year old phone that rhymes with "annoyed". As soon as I got passed the oooh and aaah of the interface I needed to get to the basics. Unfortunately they weren't there. I needed to create group contacts from the hundreds of names i have on my phone but was befuddled that I couldn't figure out how to do it (my wife made fun of me as she did it in two taps on her phone that rhymes with "sam sung his best Friday".
    After much research I found that I had to either PURCHASE a third party app or sign into my ICloud account to do it. Why? Why do I have to do that? My old phone with my cheap service did it seamlessly. My new state of the art work of art bleeding edge premium service talking device doesn't. Why not? It's not hard to implement it seems for anyone else so please tell me what prevents it from happening on my brilliant pocket protecting gizmo? I paid a lot and sacrificed a lot to have the basics work and the extras thrill not the extras distract and the basics retract.
    What's more... yes roll they eyes, when I was relieved to finally create a couple of groups through ICloud, I realized that you still have to add the contacts from them one by one when sending a message! (quiet whimper). I am committed to making this relationship work, so please someone from Apple or their wonderful community tell me what I should do ? Guide me, help me to trust... help me. (disclaimer: I'm usually not this much of a cry baby)

  • Why can't I select my created group for submitting a batch in Compressor 4.1?

    Hi all,
    My company recently updated our computers to take advantage of Compressor's distributed processing since we're using both a 3.06 ghz c2d imac and a pretty new core i5 imac on the same network. I'm interested in getting Compressor's group processing going to take advantage of the significantly faster i5 after cutting is done on the c2d. I have followed the instructions in the manual to set up a group, and have so far had no problem having the two computers see each other over the network and add each other to processing groups (the new name for clusters, I guess). The issue comes when I try to select the group from the lower-left drop-down box when submitting the batch. Although my created group shows up in the drop-down, it is greyed out and cannot be selected. Is there something I'm doing wrong that's making this not selectable? The primary way that we're moving files into compressor is from the "send to compressor..." option in FCPX, if this is relevant. I would really like to get this running ASAP so any help is appreciated.

    I don't use group messageing but I believe that once you send it to the group the first time you should be able to open the conversation and send a new message to the same group without re-addressing.  As you may know, there are apps that will create groups for text messaging (like Speed Names).
