Creating Hyperlink to Another Report in Same Document

Hi
Is it possible to create a hyperlink from a cell in one report, to another report in the same WebI document, that doesn't involve the entire reloading of the document.
Also, I want to be able to pass through a filter value.
The reason for the request is we have a report which list certain information about an article. The 2nd report (still in the same WebI document) lists all sorts of other information about the article. The 2nd report contains a lot of information about the article, which doesn't make sense including in the 1st report.
I can create a hyperlink on the article number, which uses the OpenDoc functionality to reload the report and navigate to the 2nd tab (report). If the article number is provided as a prompt on the query, then the data is filtered according to the selected article. That works, but it is not nice, as the report has to reload, and when you click on the tab to go back to the 1st report, that article prompt has been applied there as well.
To get rid of that last error, we could conceivably create 2 queries, 1 for each of the reports, and only have the article input prompt on the 2nd query ... getting messy though.
I would prefer to pass the article number and have that applied to the filter on the 2nd report ... doesn't seem possible in OpenDoc format though, unless I just can't find the querystring parameter to use.
Is there not a way of linking to the tab, without reloading the whole document?

Hi Andrew,
try getting the parameters to be displayed in a cell and use the parameter lsS or lsM(for multiple values) and pass the parameters to report 2 using openDoc.
The document here lists the options with openDoc, might be helpful otherwise

Creating Independent Smart Objects in the Same Document???

I'm not even sure how to ask this question really, so here goes. I downloaded a .psd file that is a catalog mockup. The document contains a smart object that looks like a catalog lying on a table top and I want to take my catalog art and place it in this smart object so that it looks like I've taken a nice photograph of my design work. That is the easy part!
What I want to do now is duplicate that smart object, put it underneath the original so it is peeking out and tilt it a bit. Then I want to put the back side of the catalog art on it so that it now looks like I've got both the front and back showing. Only problem I keep running into is that now when I click on the 2nd, duplicated smart object and put the different art (back of catalog) on it, it updates the original, first smart object that I want to show the front of the catalog. Frustrating!!!!
Basically I want the two smart objects to not link and update each other when they are in the same document. Is this possible? I can't find anything online so far and am running out of time. I even tried calling Adobe and that WAS A MESS.

Yay! Ok, so I had tried that before and it didn't work, but this time I dissected the layers a bit more and saw that whoever created the .psd file I downloaded had put masks on the catalog images so that is why the bottom catalog smart object that I duplicated wouldn't show anything on it except for where the top one overlapped it. It was driving me nuts. I trashed the layer masks and it worked fine

How to create hyperlink for the messages in oneorder documents

I want to create hyperlink for the error messages that are raised for a payment request, so that i can navigate to that particular object ID mentioned in the message.

But we can find the same functionality for trade promotions overlap, the messages raised when two or more tradepromotions overlap, provide us with hyperlink through which we can navigate to that particular object id.

Create hyperlinks in a report using online interactive editor

Hi All,
With 11g I want to add hyperlinks to columns in a report to link/open another report. Can I do that using online interactive editor, we don't use RTF templates.

U can include any text rt click on it goto format text
Hyperlink tab and add any type of hyperlink there.

Problem Creating Hyperlink to another workbook

I am having a problem creating a hyperlink to a worksheet in another workbook.
Here is what I have done:
Created the master and detail reports in 2 different workbooks.
Executed the master worksheet to display the data
Right clicked the field in the first row where I want to create the hyperlink, and chose Manage Links
Clicked the New Link button
Chose Worksheet for Where do you want to link to?
Clicked Browse by the Destination Worksheet
Clicked the detail report from the list of workbooks but the select button is grayed out
Does anyone have any idea why it won't let me select the detail report to link to?
I have OracleBI Discoverer Plus 10g
Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

Yes, I did add a parameter to the detail report so that I could get detail just for that one item. The part that is giving me trouble is specifying the Destination workbook/worksheet. I see the detail report when I browse but the Select button is grayed out so I haven't made it to the part where you identify what values to pass to the detail report yet.

Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestion of using a lexical parameter as follows:
&<gp_id>
in my hyperlink.
When I ran it from ReportBuilder, generating to file, HTMLCSS, it worked correctly. I look at the html source and the <gp_id> was translated to the correct number for each instance of the displayed field.
When I ran it through the Report Server and examined the html source output, the string <gp_id> was present in each hyperlink i.e. it had not been translated.
I tried executing both rdf and rep versions with the same result.
How can I get this working?

Can I create hyperlinked text in an Illustrator CS4 document?

I wish to create a tabloid (11x17) document that contains a number of hyperlinks. The document will be a 2-sided printout that shows clearly the hyperlinks. However, the links will obviously not work except in the electronically transmitted PDF - which should have working links.
In a previous search, I learned that older versions of Illustrator cannot do. However, can CS4 do this? If I must, I am happy to insert the links at the final stage - adding them to the finalized PDF with my copy of Acrobat Pro, but if possible I would like to do all my work in Illustrator.

Sadly, I don't have a copy of InDesign. I don't suppose there's an addon that does it.
In that event, I will have to add the links to the PDF via Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Report Navigation Using Hyperlinks to Another Report (not drill down)

I would like 2 sample reports. The first report would have a hyperlink to the second report. I want to publish these in BusinessObjects Enterprise and see this functionality using the Dhtml viewer preferably using the "my infoview".

Go to report painter, in the report display you can see the output types.
choose output area as Info control, Navagation control, dril down control, detail control.
Choose HTML Templet - SAP Template
choose Classic drilldown, choose basic list drilldown
change all this parameters in the report then you will be getting drilldown fuctionality.

I m in a product which extracts data from SAP and stored in Access database.
For that,while i extracting Purchase Order from the Demo Database (SBODemo_US)for OEC Computers,the same DocNum is used for several Purchase Order using Index Line numbers.
eg:
DocNum for Purchase Order1 -->3000   0 (Index)
DocNum for Purchase Order2 -->3000   1 (Index)
    But i can't create multiple Purchase Order using same DocNum manually in SAP B1,Could anybody please help me <b>to create a Purchase Order using same DocumentNumber?</b>

Hi,
The problem statement is not quite clear to me.
As far as I understand your statement, I think you want to club multiple orders into one purchase order using the index incrementally.
For this I think once you have created the first purchase order, open the purchase order in edit mode the second time and append the new line items.
If I am getting you wrong please explain the problem statement in more detail.

How to create table in another schema of same database

Hi..
I've a database DB1
and has 2 schemas / USers in that..
Usr1 and Usr2...
And i created a TEMP table in Usr1 schema... and created
Then tried the following statement in Usr2 schema...
CREATE TABLE TEMP AS SELECT * FROM Usr1.TEMP;
Then it's giving error that ...
:00942 TABLE OR VIEW DOESN'T EXIST..
What is the reason for that...

If you want to copy all that over, you would probably want to get the DDL from the original table (using the DBMS_METADATA package if you're in a recent version), modify the DDL with the new schema name, create the table, indexes, and constraints, and then do an INSERT ... SELECT to populate the data. Or do an export & import of the table from one schema to another.

This is the question really. I want to have a list of topics at the top of a page as hyperlinks which would then direct readers to an appropriate place on the page (e.g. for FAQ page: list of questions first - as links to the places on the page where they are answered). Is it possible with iWeb?

Although not a smooth method Peter Berglund uses HTML snippets to simulate anchors on web pages. He describes his method in his blog here: How to use Anchors in iWeb.
If you don't have a lot of other widgets on your page it's fairly easy to implement. With other widgets for other purposes it's more difficult but can be done.

I am hoping someone at Apple reads this! I have a program I use called Logos 4, and it works with both a Mac (or yuck a PC) on the PC side they have the ability to do this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZMW1Mw3ZgI in PowerPoint. another report from that, where i can use the record data for another

I am using Crystal Reports to create a statement. We would like to include hyperlinks in our report. We have already created hyperlinks within the report. The hyperlinks are only operational when I click within the subreport. I want to process my report to a PDF and have the hyperlinks work. Any Suggestions? I am currently working in Crystal 8.5 (we have 10 but our database is not matching up).

As an alternative, at least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports Manager tools listed at http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html can use visible or hidden (white font) formulas anywhere within a Crystal report (including inside subreports) to create file, web, or email links at that same location within the pdf export of the report. Optionally, an image (such as a .png button image can be added to provide a GUI for the link.
