Creating info structure in product allocation

Hi,
i was trying to configure to product allocation but doubt in the below step while trying to create info structure with MC21.. i am not able to find the below KF and characteristics fields as shown in the below document..kindly help.

As already indicate to you in my previous post in Error product allocation
whatever doc you are following/referring, they have not using any standard infostructure for product allocation. The only difference between the Infostructure S140 & custom infostructure you are referring is of division. Instead of Customer group, you have Division in Characteristics.
So, for practicing purpose, try with infostructure S140.
Else, you need to understand how customs infostructure created or maintain in LIS/SIS. There many discussion on the same and you need to search and try. Accordingly, raise discussion for specific queries, while creating an Infostructure.

this is the standard infostructure for product allocation.

Defining the period to analyse when creating info structure

Hi all,
I'm creating a self-defined SIS report.
I'd like to make it to be a daily report, i.e. period to analyse = date in the selection screen when user runs the report via MCSI.
How to define it to be daily?

Complications in the Product Allocation

Dear SAP Gurus,
I am facing lot of problems in configuring the Product Allocation.
Problem-01
I started creating new Info Structure S561 copying the existing Info Structure S140 as the Info Structure is to be assigned in OV3Z (Specify hierarchy).
The problem is that the Table MCVOBJECT is not appearing in the u201CCharacteristics for 0001 Incoming Orders Quantityu201D in the transaction code MC25. I tried to insert the Table name as MCVOBJECT and Field name as KONOB against the characteristics u201CProd Allocation obj.u201D but I got the error message as u201COnly source fields from MC Communication structures allowedu201D
Only few Table names are available after pressing F4.
Please help me how I can put the Table name MCVOBJECT and field name KONOB in the Characteristics for MC25.
Problem-02
In OVZ0 (Define Flow according to requirement category) I am not able to create new Requirement even in the change Mode. But I found some of them started with Z i.e. it has been created by somebody. I am in IDES system.
Problem-03
The same issue in OVZ8 (Process flow for each Schedule line Category) I am not able to create new Requirement even in the change Mode. But I found some of them started with Z i.e. it has been created by somebody.
Please guide me how to create a new requirement and assign it.
Problem-04
When I am checking in OV8Z (Check setting in Product Allocationu201D, the following comments appear. If anybody guide me on this basis I will be grateful to him.

Problem-05
Where should I put the quantity because when I am creating Sales Order no Product Allocation function is working.
Problem-06
I have used Transaction code MC8A for creating Planning type but every time I put some value and save but after that in change mode I am not finding those values.

Info structure for deliveries

Dear Gurus
How can i create Info structure for the deliveries made through Purchase order UB document type.
I have already created a infostructure for application 01 and taken the fields of LIKP,LIPS tables. But it is showing only Deliveries made through Sale Order. But I did not get the deliveries data for deliveries made through PO.

Is it advisable to created user define info structures in the system? if so is there any specific steps that i have to follow to create info structures.

It is advisable to create new info structures when the standard info structures do not comply with your requirements and the volume of data does not allow a "document based" reporting through ALV.
If you use SAP BI or another Reporting solution (Business Objects, etc.), you might or not decide to create an info structure in the SAP ERP system anyway, it will depend. For example if you already use SAP BI, then you want to do all the Reporting in SAP BI, not in the SAP ERP. But if you decide to use another solution for Reporting as can be SQL Server Reporting Services or similar, then it will be very useful to define an info structure in SAP because your data will be already formated for Reporting and therefore much easier to extract.
Regarding customizing, please check relevant customizing help in the SAP system and search this forum. I am pretty sure someone has already described the whole process which first step is of course: Define clearly what you want to achieve from a business point of view, not a technical one.

Where do we create organzational structure in a project

hai sap gurus,
in real time scenario we have three servers i.e.
1. development server
2. quality server
3. Production server
here we customize each and everything in development server and later transport it int testing and to production based on customizing request number
my question is when we creaate organizational structure we won't get any customizing request so i thing we may not transport it inot any server or clietn (if i am wtong plz correct me)
i think we create org.structure in production

Copying sales history into new info structure

Hi Gurus,
We are running SAP since last two years and company is running since last 30 year but we have never used SAP S&OP. Now we want to use one. So far we have created info structure with required characteristics and key figures.
Can you please suggest me the process of copying sales history into info structure?

What the heck is S&OP?
If you're talking about [LIS|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/c1/37544e449a11d188fe0000e8322f96/frameset.htm], then there is some standard functonality to populate the newly created info structures with the data from existing documents.
Path in SPRO (may differ slightly, depending on the R/3 release):
     Logistics General
     Logistics Information System (LIS)
     Logistics Data Warehouse
     Data Basis
     Tools
     Setup of Statistical Data
     Application-Specific Setup of...
     Perform Setup u2013 Sales and Distribution
But if you need to bring in sales history from a legacy system, you'll need to write an ABAP report for that.

Trouble with Sequence of Product Allocation Procedures in GATP

Hi,
I have created two allocation procedures. ZATP1, ZATP2. The expected result is the total quantity confirmed by ZATP1 + ZATP2. In the ATP simulation, I am getting only the output confirmed by procedure ZATP1. The following are my settings.
 1. Created a procedure ZATP1 : I checked this individually in simulation and it is working
 2. Created another procedure ZATP2 : I checked this individually in simulation and it is working
 3. Created a "Sequence of Product Allocation Procedure ZSEQ" containing allocation procedure ZATP2.
 4. In the product master "ATP" tab I have updated , "Allocation Procedure" =ZATP1 and Procedure Seq = ZSEQ.
Can any one you tell me what I am missing to achieve this business requirement? Any one faced a similar problem ? We are in SCM 5.0

Thanks for the reply. I maintained only location independant product allocation with allocation sequence.
To replicate the scenario :
 We have two organizations who can make the allocation. Both are independent and shouldn't distrub each other. (Only production allocation check is configured in the check instructions).
The planning area I maintained are
 ZDP01 : CVC : Allocation object :ZATP1 , Commerical model : A100 , Customer : 1000
For Oct : total allocation : 2000 Consumed :800
For Nov : total allocation : 1000
ZDP02 : CVC : Allocation object :ZATP2, Commerical model : A100 , Customer : 1000
For Oct : total allocation : 500 Consumed :300
For Nov : total allocation : 500
THe customer "1000" is now placing an order of 1250: He should get confirmation in oct because 1200 can be given up by ZATP1 and 50 can be given by ZATP2.
The result I am getting via ATP simulation is 1200: Oct and 50 Nov. (Both consumed against ZATP1):

For Structured Products in CRM System you may check for the Relationship Tab in the Product Master,
Go to TCode:COMMPR01 (Enter your Service Product)
and check for Relationship Tab
in which check for the Existense of Sub option Component
if it is Present then you can Configure Structured Product for that Service Product else it is not Possible

Product Allocation S140 Info structure.

Hello Experts,
We have configured the setting related Availability check against Product Allocation.
Everything is fine except for S140 Infostructure. We are using Flexible Plan. The Info structure is getting updated whenever we create an order and the qty is confirmed. How do the other fields gets updated?( Product allocation qty & customer requirements are initial upload by the client. Order qty is getting updated whenever order is created. Other fields Def.division, Open product allocation qty and requirements not covered are not getting updated. formulas have been activated.
How and when the other fields will be updated? Aniticipating your answers.

Product allocation error while creating a sales order

Hi Gurus,
My client is using the availability check against product allocation functionality in sales order.while I am creating the sales order and entering the material system is throwing the error message product allocation XXX is invalid,after pressing the enter button system has thrown another error "incorrect index structure for table XMVERF_POS/000010" and unable to save the order.
I have checked the material master and the product allocation is assigned in basic data 1 view,I have also checked the IMG settings it has maintained and assigned to infostructure.Please let me know is there any config settings are missing related to product allocation.

Please check if storage location is populated for the material. Also may be this material is a non-stock material and not relevant for storage location check.. If you have any non-stock items in your order and if you are populating the storage location in the order automatically, then this happens. Please check your code and bypass the check for non stock items.
