Third party tool which can create infosets in SAP R/3

Hi All, Is there any third party tool that could create infosets in ECC for reporting.We integrated crystal reports with ECC and want to create queries using infosets and make use of BAPI's. There are several 100's of reports to be developed and we are afraid we might make mistakes when we have to join all the tables in ECC during infoset creation. We are hoping to find a third party tool that could do this or has infosets that could be used.

how to create Infoset&user group query--(query report),
Pls send me the exact procedure with Example....

goto SQ03 and create an User Group If U want to create Ur Own.
Goto SQ02 to create Ur Infoset by Giving Logical database name or Simple Database table
Then Choose What ever data U need to be included in The Qurey in field Groups.
Then Generate the Infoset
Now Assign the infoset to user group
Now goto SQ01 and Click on Other user group Button and choose Ur user Group.
Then in the USer group select Ur Infoset and then create Ur own Query and save this.
Now select the infoset query and goto More functions under Query menu and Generate report name.
Now Create a transaction code for the report name generated.
Now use the Tcode.
Hope U have got the basic idea of creating Queries.

Continuation this point...... i would like to know can we change the layout
which we obtain through abap query.. Actually i have a requirement where
i have to do the report in the abap query........now the client say he dont want
the output which i have got through abap query.......first ihave shown him
the ALV report , next i have shown him through ABAP list......but they wants the report in their own format.which they are using in lotus notes till now.......... Please let me know can i change the report which has been generated through Infoset.......and give him in their own LAYOUT........do we have any
option .......or we have to change the STANDARD code generated by the abap query.

Please let me know, if any one has standard procedure to be followed for creating Infoset, which are used for creating Target Group.

Hi Bushan,
Follow the below steps for creating infosets
1. Goto the transaction code SQ02
2. Give the Z infoset Name in the infoset field and click on create button
3. Give the name of the infoset in the pop up screen
4. Select any one the methods
       a. table join using basis table
       b. direct read of table
       c. logical database
       d. data retrival program
5. Give the selection values for the datasource ( for example BUT000 for direct read of table)
6. Give the field selection
7. Generate the infoset
8. Save the infoset
The above saved infoset can be seen in the create datasource screen.

Yes ,it is possible to add code in infoset.
open sq02 give infoset name click change,in app tool bar click on extras
there on right side you have option code.you can write your code there.

Create infoset from infoset

hi,
is it possible to create an Info set which contains data from info cube and another infoset?
case:
I have info set of CUSTOMER which contains of master data 0CUST_SALES and 0CUSTOMER
then I have a cube of sales, but the information of the SOLD to PARTY is not complete, I don't want to modify the existing cube by adding the information I need as it's too risk for newbie like me.
so the other way is to creating INFO SET that joining those two data.
is it possible?

Hi,
Creating Infoset and then using a multiprovider to report the data is one of teh solution.
But remember, debugging reports created on Infoset is bit tedious.
An alternative solution would be to add the 0Custsales in the cube and then use the Sold to party as navigational attribute.
Doing this will only need the cube to be reloaed once after the modification.

Creating Infoset query based on ABAP program

Hello
I have 3 tables FEBEP, BKPF and BSEG and I need to join the 3 tables based on:
FEBEP-MANDT = BKPF-MANDT = BSEG-MANDT
FEBEP-NBBLN = BKPF-BELNR = BSEG-AUGBL
FEBEP-GJAHR = BKPF-GJAHR = BSEG-GJAHR
Then I have a few view fields from all the 3 tables. After this I can build an infoset query based on structure + ABAP program, and a generic datasource on top of it.
Can someone give me the ABAP code to be written SE38? Also should I select integrated program/external program in the infoset query?

Hi,
Even if you create an ABAP program for infoset, you will writing a SELECT statement from BSEG table which is quite huge.
And you will putting JOIN with other tables.
Performance wise this is not advisble.
Why do not try the following other tables and check if the fields you need are available?
You can't join BSEG as it is a Cluster Table.In the place of BSEG you can use:
Account Recivables data use BSID and BSAD tables
GL Account Related data use BSIS and BSAS tables
Account payables data use BSIK and BSAK tables

I have the same problem.
I'm creating an Infoset (transaction SQ02) in a Global Area, using de logical database PCH.
I select only a "position" (S) object with few infotypes.
When I click the "Generate" button, the system shows an error AQ 006 / PCHINDEX with "...TYPE" error.
I have a tricky solution that works so far: Exit to the main transaction screen, mantain selected the Infoset (wich must be showing a red mark circle). Click the "generate" button and... yes, the infoset is generated succesfully.
Try this weird solution, maybe works for you.

Create Infoset

Hi,
I have provided access to Tcode SQ02 in our Production client to the users...
When they are trying to create an Infoset "Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted"
I have checked the client settings.. It is okie...
Are there any other changes to be done?

Hi,
The very first thing, infoset creation is meant for BW systems only, it is totally irrelevent for R/3 systems.
Secondly, infoset creation must be done in devlopment system only and from there it should be imported to quality and production systems( it keeps your dev, quality and prod systems in sync).
Are you trying to create the same in your BW production system,
If you can create in development and then import it to production system, that would be the best practice, and if the creation can only be don ein prod systems you should go for the service window as I suggested earlier.

Hi Preeti,
1. You can query the data using 'Listcube' transaction.
2. Instead of builing on tables, it sits on ODS (no need to worry about underlying tables).
3. Visible on the Bex 'info area' as like other infoproviders.
4. It generates additional key figure called 'Number of records' in the Bex. This will be useful for query.
5. No additional ABAP can be used. But in RSQ02, you can use piece of ABAP.
6. Queries created on data provider infoset can work like other queries including transport functionality.
