Creating Line Graphs in Portal

Is it possible to create line graphs in Portal, I can create the bar graphs but they dont suit my needs.
If not in Portal, are there any Oracle products that can create line graphs on data in a database?
Thanks

What about Oracle Graphics?

    Note that each Branch_Desc has 12 periods called CURRPERIOD,CURPERSUB1,CURPERSUB2 ...... and 12 values for those periods as VALUECURRENTPERIOD, VALUECURRENTPERIODSUB1, VALUECURRENTPERIODSUB2......
    I need to create a Line Graph for each Branch for the 12 periods as defined above where VALUECURRENTPERIOD, VALUECURRENTPERIODSUB1 etc. are the values for that period. The current BIPublisher Chart tool only allows one Value and One Label. In my case I have 12 VALUES (VALUECURRENTPERIOD etc.) and 12 LABELS (CURRPERIOD, CURPERSUB1 etc.). The SERIES or LEGEND should be the Branch Desc . So what I am looking for is to plot values(12 values) for 6 branches (so six lines) over a period of time (12 periods).

    Hi Tim,
    We have this XML data calculated from several tables where the layout was in the format of One account(a Branch in this case) and 12 periodic values for the same . So reformatting the XML is not going to be easy as the source data is like this itself. I tried un-pivioting the table (as this one is already pivoted) but it looks like Oracle doesn't support this feature yet, but is suported in DB2 or SQL. Please take a look at this link
    http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/database/technology/archives/unpivot-query-12798?close=true
    So I am stuck with the data in this format and users want a line graph for each branch over he period of time. May be somone on this forum can figure out how to un-pivot a table in Oracle. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi frank,
    i already pass the two types of information to the graph if you mean the
    x-axis and the y-axis and it didnt show any point it shows an empty graph only..
    ill show the code maybe you can find out what is the problem, and here is the code:
    DECLARE
    cursor c is
    SELECT
    FRA_YEAR, -----> X
    TOTAL_AMT_IN_BASE -----------> Y
    FROM TMP_GRPH
    ORDER BY FRA_YEAR;
         cdata varchar2(2000);
         vd varchar2(2);
         X NUMBER;
         Y NUMBER;
         COUNTER NUMBER;
         cdata varchar2(2000);
         vd varchar2(2);
         X NUMBER;
         Y NUMBER;
         COUNTER NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    set_custom_property('CHART.SIMPLEGRAPH',1,'CLEAR_GRAPH','');
    SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY('CHART.SIMPLEGRAPH',1,'DEBUG','TRUE');
    VD := ',';
    COUNTER := 0;

    while (C%FOUND) LOOP
    CDATA := X||VD||X||VD||Y||VD||Y;
    set_custom_property('CHART.SIMPLEGRAPH',1,'ADD_ROWDATA',CDATA);
    FETCH C INTO X,Y;
    END LOOP;
    set_custom_property('CHART.SIMPLEGRAPH',1,'GRAPHTYPE','SCATTER_GRAPH');
    set_custom_property('CHART.SIMPLEGRAPH',1,'ADD_DATA_TO_GRAPH','');
    CLOSE C;
    set_custom_property('CHART.SIMPLEGRAPH',1,'SHOW_GRAPH','');
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    MESSAGE('SQLCODE='||SQLCODE||SQLERRM);
    MESSAGE('SQLCODE='||SQLCODE||SQLERRM);

    note:
    FRA_YEAR is the X-axis
    TOTAL_AMT_IN_BASE is the Y-axis

  • Line Graph  X-axis Value

    Hi ,
    I Created line graph in ADF X axis - date , Y axis Amount and Currency Mixed Frequency Line graph
    For ex : X - axis dates are 01-jan-2011 to 10-jan-2011
    y - axis are amount and currency
    when i click particular currency line (on 05-jan-2011) how i will get the x axis value 05-jan-2011
    Thanks
    Shk

    Check the range against which line is plotted, you may have to reduce that range to see accurate values.

  • HTML5 fails to show labels on line graphs

    Value labels on line graphs fail to show in HTML5 and work fine in the current html version as well as in Excel.
    Repro
    Create line graph
    Right click on the marker of a series and select 'Add Label'
    Save to OneDrive
    Open it and view the regular html and then view the HMTL 5 version

    Could you clarify if this in Power View sheet or in regular excel sheet/line chart?
    Also could you clarify what you mean by regular html vs html5?
    Thanks

  • Create a line graph on EP 7.0

    We are trying to create a complex line graph in the portal which will pull data from SAP ISU. What is the best approach to developing this graph? Is SAP Chart Design suitable for creating a complex graph from scratch?
    Any help would be appreciate.

    U can open any one of this as per ur like and edit.
    Well, you cannot edit the standard delivered themes. You will need to make a copy of the standard one and edit that custom copy.
    Besides the theme editor in the portal, there is a tool called Eclipse theme editor which can come in handy to create/modify a theme. You can download this tool and the corresponding guide at the following location:

  • Creating a Double Line Graph

    Hello,
    I'm trying to create a graph from the information seen in the table below. I need to plot on the X- Axis, the T0,T1,T2 values. There will be two data sets for the line graph, Subject A and Subject B, the value from which will be plotted on the Y-Axis. I've spent about an hour now, trying to order the values to create the graph I need.
         Another way of saying this, is that I'm plotting the differences in Subject A versus Subject B over a period of Time (T0, T1, T2).
    It should look something like this:

    That is one surefire way to not get any help and certainly not urgently. I suggest that you amend the title of your post to something that reflects the actual issue. This will also help anyone with similar issues to find the thread.
    When posting code please put {noformat}{noformat} (with the curly brackets and the word code in lower case) above and below it to preserve formatting like this...
    {noformat}{noformat}
    SELECT *
    FROM emp
    {noformat}{noformat}
    This will be displayed on the forum like this...SELECT *

  • How do i  create a line graph and scatterplots graph in numbers?

    hi fellow mac users, i am taking a biology class and i have to create a graph, the only problem is i dont know where to begin. I would love your advice and ideas on how to do so.THE OTHER TYPES OF GRAPHS THAT I HAVE TO MAKE IS A LINE GRAPH     SCATTER PLOT    BAR GRAPH   AND    A  PIE CHART.  if yall could help me that would be great. (a list of steps will help me alot)

    HI izzie,
    As well as the link in Wayne's post, you can get the Numbers '09 User Guide through the Help menu in Numbers.
    Besides Chapter 7, which deals with your current question, I would strongly suggest reading at least the first four chapters of the guide for a good grounding in the basics of using Numbers.

  • Creating a Line Graph in a JSP...

    ive got to create a simple line graph (ability to have a title, xaxis, yaxis labels, plus label the data on hte x and y axis). right now the yaxis date is stored in an array of doubles and the xaxis just increment by 1. im having problems finding such a thing on the internet that doesnt depend on other classes or beans besides teh ones built into the jdk. i can have no other 3rd party software, is there anything like this out there? any java functions? thanks.
    Adam.

    Hi
    Keep in touch with the following thread, which is going in parallel, which is same as yours.

  • Create line chart/graph

    Hi,
    I've created a waveform chart that takes in an integer data point every seven seconds. I'd prefer it if the chart directly connected the data points to form a line chart instead of going down to zero during the seven seconds between readings. I checked around labview briefly but couldnt find any line charts. Is there a setting I can chanhe of a type of chart i should use to get a basic line graph?
    THanks

    The default chart is a 'line chart'. Right click on the plot legend and look at the interpolation. Unless you changed the Fill Base Line option, the chart will not drop to zero unless you are passing it a zero value.

  • Creating a 3 line graph report

    Need help with creating a 3 line graph  - need to be able to plot 3rd line of data  without displaying a legend and use a dynamic tag label for the line. Thanks

    You can create two graphs with the same horizontal (and if necessary vertical) scale, and make them occupy the same space on the report, one under another.
    On one report, put your 3rd graph line, and remove any visible text, gridlines etc, so you basically just have the axes lines and the graph line.
    On the top report, make the background transparent, so both graphs are visible (Chart Expert->Options->Transparent Background).

  • How do I create a line graph in numbers if my y values are in minute/second format?

    When I try clicking line graph, it shows me an empty graph.....no data on it.....just an x and y axis

    Convert your Duration values to numerical equivalent using DUR2MINUTES. Chart the values in the converted column, as shown:
    Chart 1: Result when cells containig duration values (column C) are selected and charted.
    Chart 2: Result for same type of chanrt with same rows of column D are selected.
    D2, and filled down: =DUR2MINUTES(C)

  • Help creating a simple line graph

    Hi
    Im very new to the Java language, yet have some background knowledge of C and C++.
    i have a problem with an application i am developing for a university assignment, the program is to simply simulate a water pressured nuclear reaction. the main JFrame holds various JLabels that show the current core temperature, electricity produced etc. But i want to add a very simplistic line graph to the same window, it is to purely show a line that updates (no axis or labels). The graph is to illustrate how much electricity was produced on the current cycle of the reactor, the user can initiate each cycle by pressing a JButton.
    i have found some info on drawing, but cannot find anything that helps.
    Any info on how to do this (its only meant to be a samllish part of the main window), any code examples or sites that have a very relevant tutorial would be appreciated.
    Sorry for the length of this, and if anyone needs any more info on this then let me know.
    thanks
