Creating materail in non sap system when it is create in sap

Hi,
As with the help of IDOC  we can perform the activity in multiple sap server,  like creation of material master if it is created in one system it can be created in other,  I have one requirement , we are suing one non sap systems there we are performaing some activity with the RFC,  now if any material is created in the sap system can we create the same in the non sap with IDOC. same time when it is being created in the sap.
regards,
zafar

HI,
You can use MATMAS03 or MATMAS05 idoc for transfering the material data to an externam system.
You should define this in  outbound partner profile in WE20 trx.
Here you maintain the the MATMA05 in out bound parameters, and select the mode as transfer idoc immediately in output mode, give the receiving port details also.
Once the material is created, then it is automatically transfered .

Apple sells adapters from either 30-pin or Lightning connectors to either HDMI or VGA. Check them out in the Apple Store at http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipad/ipad_accessories/cables_docks or your national equivalent "iPad Cables & Docks" store page.
Be sure to read the comments on whichever adapter is appropriate to your iPad model and your monitor model. Not every user has found satisfaction using them (though many have).

  • Auto Script which creates SAP Account when AD gets created.

Hello Experts - Requirement is "Create SAP User account automatically when AD account gets created", can I acheive this through ECATT scripts?
If this is possible, idea is to create an ECATT script and schedule it to run every night to find all new users on AD and create their account on SAP and lock their accounts.
Do you think this can be acheived thru ECATT's?
If not ECATT, is there any way out to acheive my objective. We are planning to reduce overhead for SAP User admins, I was thinking on following steps:
    1) New User request for AD
    2) After approval create AD account
    3) Design a scrip, which will look for all new users on AD and will create & lock them on SAP (Nightly Job or something)
    Your thoughts?
    Your suggestions are much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Martin,
I have a customer with 16 million users in SU01. They don't use IdM and don't need it either at the moment.
I have another customer with 700 users and they are implementing IdM because it makes sense. They need it to reduce complexity.
There are no IdM license costs, unless you provision non-SAP systems.
You can skip GRC by using a well designed concept for report RSUSR008_009_NEW if it meets your requirements - particularly the number of systems. It does however have it's limits (per ABAP client) and is not user friendly at first. Also no nice pie-charts for managers, etc.
Emergency User Access comes in many shapes and sizes... SAP declined a development suggestion from me to improve the "FireFighter" tool so I developed it on my own for my customers using BAPIs and they are happy. The main requiremenent not fullfilled is that the user context changes so that you loose access to HR data, queries, variants, workflow items, purchase orders, etc. The FireFighter users also become obvious targets of attacks and the application users (dialog) need authority to change the FireFighter's passwords to use the application  - which means that they can use RFC to do the same without using the FireFighter transactions / logs / etc.
Regarding other IdMs, I have experience with some, but documented here on SDN is only the password syncronization problems which Novell suffers from. These "problems" are intentional - or better said --> their own fault for using "hacks"...
If you search for "Novell" you will find them.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • How to run Depreciation in SAP system when manual posting has been made

    Hi
My client is posting the dep thro' manual entry every quater from 2003 FY onwards. But untill 2002 they were posting the dep in SAP,due to some issue they started to post the dep manually  and now they want to run the dep in SAP system.
I am new to AA and i am confused and don't know how to proceed  further.
If i run the dep  from 2003 period 1,then what will be impact of the same  and the FI books has beem closed but the AA year is still open.
    I though of going like....
I will retire all the asset as on 31.03.02 without revenue and  purchase the same assets in the current fiscal year (2007) as a in house manufacturing  with the current  book value.
I don't whether i am correct or wrong, if i am correct/wrong  kindly guide me and the area or implication that i have to take care while  performing the above activity... or any other way/suggestion thro' which i can bring the dep in the system thro' standard way...
    We are in 4.6c version.
    regards
    Praveen

    hi Praveen,
my advice was to reverse the newly created depreciation posting, not the ones which were created throughout the years periodically.
if you run the depreciation now and post all values to today, than you have to do the reverse posting today. They should be exactly the same day! If you do the depreciation post for a day in the past, that means (at least for me), that you are allowed to post to that day (both legally and 'SAPally' , and in this case you have create (and you should be able to do so) the reverse posting for that day.
Come back if you need more clarifications

  • Error at SAP BO when containing no data in SAP BI Query

    Dear all,
I found this error message when I tried to open my dashboard reports:
"A database error occured. The database error text is: Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND. (WIS 10901)"
This error only show when the first time I opened the reports and the data is empty. After I clikc Ok and re-run the report, it's ok. If the query contains the data, the error will not show.
Please advise or give some suggestion for tihs problems.
I'm using SAP BW 7.0 SP 21 and SAP BusinessObject XI 3.1
    Thanks and best regards,
    Henki Chen

    Hello Henri,
He is the resolution to your problem:
    1.  Restrict query results to a smaller set of data.
    2.  Suppress the 'Not assigned/#' Hierarchy node (Exclude Selection) in the BEx hierarchy query. This reduces the size of I-Table & buffer requirements.
    3.  Avoid use of 'default values' for hierarchy & hierarchy node variables. Or, if a default must be assigned, set it to an attribute that has 0 levels.
    4.  Implement : Enhancement Pack 1 + Support Package 3 (or above) for optimized interoperability between BusinessObjects & SAP modules.
    Thank you,
    Scott

  • Would like to create 'tabs' not 'app tabs'. When I do create a 'tab' or multiple 'tabs', when I re-open Foxfire, the 'tabs' are gone.

Tabs created on the top line do not re-appear when Foxfire is reopened. I created 4 tabs. I used them. They work great. Then I close out of Foxfire. The next day I open Foxfire, and all 4 tabs are gone. How do I 'save' the 4 tabs so that they always appear when I open Foxfire?

  • SAP to External Non SAP Systems C++ Connections

    Hi guys,
i should develop a C++ application that should transfer/receive data from an external Non SAP System to a SAP System (MM SD FI Modules) and viceversa,
This bidirectional integration should be synchronous and asynchronous, depending on the data flow type,
I was thinking to use IDocs for this communications,
I should be able to send purchase and sell orders requests from the Non Sap System to the Sap system and receive the result of SAP processes once the SAP transactions will be finished.
So i'll have a C++ process that send idocs (created with sdk end sent throught RFC to SAP) for SD or MM operations and a SAP Abap module that receive this idocs and start internal operations.
After this i need an internal SAP abap module that send to my external application Idoc's with the result of internal operations.
Are the idocs the common way to transfer data(low cadinality) in this scenario, or there is a better way?
Note: my sap system versions are previous to the netweaver release, so i can't use a Service Oriented comunication...
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,
try sending the data through BAPI Function Module.
and use the FM in your C++ program.
    hope this works....
    try
    best of luck!!

  • Integrate or connect SAP system to non-SAP system

    Hi All,
We need to connect SAP system or integrate inspHire rental software to SAP. Do you know the process or initial summary on how to integrate this one?
As of now, the only way that we know to integrate SAP to non-SAP for posting is thru LSMW and batch input.
your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
LSMW is just tools for integration and you can use BDC Call Transaction, BDC session or BAPI, or Function to update something ins SAP.
1/Easier is if your non-SAP system is able to create file and ftp to SAP folder.
2/You will have background job running program that will every 5minutes or hour or daily(it is up to you how fast dat has to be bring to SAP) check if file was create in SAP folder.
3/Program will move file to folder in process
4/Program will process file, usinf function, or call transaction to update SAP on the base of file
5/Program will move file to process folder
If you need more info give me detail about what you would like to update in SAP and I could send you code.
    Bye Jan

SAP CONNECTORS:- Basically Connectors are like middlewares , that we use to connect to the backend system including Non SAP systems also. Will try to explain it to u with some examples of SAP Connectors:-
    a) SAP Business Connectors:-
A middleware application based on the B2B integration server from webMethods.
The SAP Business Connector enables both bi-directional synchronous communication and asynchronous communication between SAP applications and SAP and non-SAP applications.
The SAP Business Connector makes all SAP functions that are available via BAPIs or IDocs accessible to business partners over the Internet as an XML-based service.
The SAP Business Connector uses the Internet as a communication platform and XML or HTML as the data format. It integrates non-SAP products by using an open, non-proprietary technology.
    b) SAP Java Connector:-
SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) is a middleware component that enables the development of SAP-compatible components and applications in Java. SAP JCo supports communication with the SAP Server in both directions: inbound calls (Java calls ABAP) and outbound calls (ABAP calls Java).
SAP JCo can be implemented with Desktop applications and with Web server applications.
SAP JCo is used as an integrated component in the following applications:
    1) SAP Business Connector, for communication with external Java applications
    2) SAP Web Application Server, for connecting the integrated J2EE server with the ABAP environment.
SAP JCo can also be implemented as a standalone component, for example to establish communication with the SAP system for individual online (web) applications.
    To Know more go through,
    SAP Java Connectors
    II) ALE Concept:-
ALE is not restricted to communication between SAP systems, it can also be used for connecting SAP Systems to non-SAP systems.
By using IDocs as universal information containers, ALE can reduce the number of different application interfaces to one single interface that can either send IDocs from an SAP system or receive IDocs in an SAP system.
SAP certified Translator Programs can convert IDoc structures into customer-defined structures.
Alternatively, the RFC interface for sending and receiving IDocs can be used in non-SAP systems.
In both cases you need the RFC Library of the RFC Software Development Kit (RFC-SDK).
This link gives a great insight into landscape for Connectivity to Non-SAP systems:-
    SAP to Non-SAP systems
III) Communication Between SAP Systems and External (Non-SAP) Systems using RFC:-
When you use RFC for communication with an external (non-SAP) system, you can also implement the SAP Java Connector or the SAP .Net Connector for the conversion of data. However, there are no specific security requirements for these components, since they only perform internal system conversion functions.
The additional security recommendations for communication with external systems in this section make particular reference to cases where an external system is used as a server (SAP calls the external system). If you use an external system as a client (the external system calls SAP), the appropriate SAP-specific security mechanisms are implemented on the SAP side.
This link explains in detail all the security considerations you need to take for connecting to an External Non SAP system like, User administration, Network Security etc.
Communication Between SAP Systems and External (Non-SAP) Systems using RFC

  • Compliance Calibrator for multiple SAP systems

I was wondering if anyone could assist me with my query.  We are currently performing an implementation of Virsa CC for a client and have begun to configure a CC DEV system they have installed with their custom SoD rule set.  The DEV CC system (sitting on a stand alone NetWeaver box) is "connected" to four SAP systems (DEV, QA, HR DEV & HR QA).  When we are building "functions" (i.e. raise purchase orders) in CC it asks us to define a SAP system when we are entering the transaction codes.  We've been configuring the functions with SAP DEV as the system, however when we run the analysis of results we would like to get results from QA as well.  It appears that the risk analysis only works for the system that you have defined the functions in (i.e. we get results for users in DEV but not for users in QA).
    My questions are as follows:
    - Do you need to define all the systems you wish to run a risk analysis for within the function (i.e. function = Raise purchase orders. DEV ME21 & QA ME21)?
    - If so, is there an easy way to convert our functions so that they point to QA as well (we've noticed that we can't edit the SAP system once the function is saved)?
    - Is it possible to export the functions and then define the SAP system when importing them back into CC (we've noticed with the SAP delivered rule set that SAP DEV was automatically defaulted)?  This is particularly relevant as we would like to export the rules from the DEV CC system and import them to the PROD CC system without having to manually create the rule set again; and
    - Is it possible to export the rules and manually change the SAP system reference and import them back into CC (i.e. do a "replace all" DEV to QA)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Alexi

In order to perform what your are trying to do in CC 5.2, you will need to go to configuration and setup a logical system, such as SAP R/3 and define all the appropriate systems for the logical system.  Then, when modifying the functions, you will need to set the tcode (action) to the logical system defined, such as R/3 or APO, etc.
The cross-system functionality only comes into play if you want to analyze the SOD where a conflict would occur if a user had access to one function in one system (for example - purchase order processing in APO) and a conflicting function in a different system (for example - Vendor Master in R/3).
If you simply want to check who has violates a risk against multiple system - the logical system is the best way.  You can have an logical system by system type - R/3, BW, APO, SRM, etc.
To convert this over, you can export the rules and during the export you have to define the new system when exporting the file.  If that doesn't work, I'd just delete everything out, and use the upload files to reload the rules with the correct data.

  • Double byte language i.e Japanese or Chinese text in non Unicode System

    Hi,
I have translated text into Chinese and Japanese in a Unicode system and want to move it into a non Unicode system. Would Chinese/Japanese characters display correctly in a non Unicode system when moved from Unicode system.  I am doing translation in ECC60 or SAP 4.7 Unicode system and moving to SAP 4.7 non Unicode system.
    Thanks
    Balakrishna

    Hi Balakrishna,
in general the transport between Unicode and Non-Unicode systems is supported.
However there are restrictions, which are outlined in SAP note 638357.
In your case it is a prerequisite that the objects to be transported are language dependent (text lang. flag is set on the language key - see SAP note 480671) and the languages are properly setup in the target systems.
For double byte data there is a specific issue when transferring data from Unicode to Non-Unicode:
In a Non-Unicode system, one double-byte character needs two bytes, therefore e.g. in a 10 char field, 5 double byte chars are fitting. In a Unicode system, you can insert 10 double-byte chars in a 10 char field.  Hence there is a risk of truncating characters in case of Unicode --> Non-Unicode communication.
Please also have a look at SAP notes 1322715 and 745030.
    Best regards,
    Nils
