Creating more space on a windows partition

I have tried to look for things about this topic but i found no real detail into it so here it is. I have partitioned my 500gb hard drive, 350gb for mac and 115 for pc. the thing is I only have 10gb left on my pc side. How do you make the partition bigger and manage to keep everything you had on it still there?

Buy a bigger drive and move everything.
Off load some files to external.
Try CampTune from Paragon
iPartition is another
WinClone (runs in OS X)
SuperDuper for OS X backups (clone style and bootable)
Last: when you want to use OS X, it can be booted off external drives.
Devote the internal drive as 10% small OS X with a 30GB size partition and the rest Windows

    Hi Ganguly,
It is possible to have more than one main window in a same page.
You create a main window and simply you copy and past it in the same page.. it will create first main window name as MAIN and other main windows as MAIN01,MAIN02.... up to MAIN99.
Contets flow from MAIN , MAIN01, MAIN02.......................MAIN99. contents after filling the current window it flows to next window(by default, you skip as well with some keyword not sure could be NEW-WINDOW)
you want print the main window data twice? or you want to create two main window in the same page ?
    1. give two copies in the no of copies in the output type screen ( Which pop up is coming after excute the program ).
    2. create two page with the same script form.
    3. you can write the coding inside the program to print twice the same page.
Hope this information use full to you..

  • Creating more space on my iPad - storage issues.

my iPad is a 16 GB device and shows I have 750 MB left but I have only used 12.5 GB. Why? I keep deleting things and it barely creates more space.

    Hello Davisesq
Check to see what is taking up so much space on your iPad by going to Settings > General > Usage or plug it into to your computer and look on iTunes to see that capacity.

  • What is 'Other' and 'Backups' on my HD?  How can I delete them to create more space?

Other and Backups take up the majority (235GB) of my 250GB HD and leave me with little room for anything else.  I have moved iTunes, iMove and iPhoto to an external harddrive. What are they and can I delete them to create more space?  Please help.

"Backups" are local snapshots created by Time Machine. You don't need to delete them; that happens automatically when necessary. Consider them as equivalent to free space, which is in fact how the Finder reports them.
As for the "Other" category, use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space.

  • How do I create more space on Time Machine backup disk?

How do I create more space on Time Machine backup disk?

since time machine in Snow Leopard stops backing up when there's no more space on the disk,
That is has not been my experience, and does not appear to be agree with this Time Machine documentation:
    Backup drive fills up
As your backup drive begins to fill up to its capacity, Time Machine intelligently deletes the oldest backups to make room for newer ones (and will alert you if the "Notify after old backups are deleted" option is selected in Time Machine preferences).

  • HT201364 what is the best way to create more space on start up disk?

I am trying to upgrade Mac OS X to 10.9 to improve syncronisation between MAC and Ipad. However I am getting the message "startup disk almost full". I was wondering how I can create more space without deleting programs and files that are important to the functionality of my MAC. Knowing what to delete would be helpful but I am a little worried that I might delete somethng very important without being able to retrieve it, if necessay. I have a 500GB WD external hard drive if that helps in answering my question. Thanks in advance for any bright spark that can answer this question.

You should always maintain an absolute minimum of 10 - 15 GB of empty space in order for the OS to function properly. If you do video editing, then you should have a lot more - at least as many GB free as you have temporary files in your project (an hour of HD video project could easily amass more than 100 GB). So, follow Linc's link. You can also permanently move your iPhoto library to an external disk:

  • Creating more space to install programs

I have a power mac G5, upgraded to OS X.4. Recently I FINALLY finished a complete movie and burned it in iDVD however, there was a lot of jumpy-ness, crackling sounds and pixllating. (I used iDVD from iLife 06)
To fix the problem, my local apple service provider recommended I upgrade to DVD Studio Pro. It came bundled with FCP Studio, LIve Type, Soundtrack Pro and Motion(I have never used Motion) - it cost me $150.
To install all the programs takes 34 G of space and I only have 15 left . How can I create more space? should I uninstall something first?
I also have a second internal hard-drive that I use for storage, and have not installed OS 10.4 on it yet. SOmeone told me to install OS 10.4 on it, then install the new FCP Studio on that second hard drive since it has lots of space.

Is there any media or render files on you main system drive? If so, move them. They shouldn't be there anyway.
General rule: Applications must be on the system drive. Everything else is just a file and can be put on any drive you have room for. Shuffle files around to make room for your applications.

  • HT201364 how do I remove iteams from my start up disk to create more space?

how do I remove iteams from my start up disk to create more space?

make sure you have a backup first. LIke with Time Machine.
drag stuff to the trash you don't want to save
like music, videos, photos, documents, apps you don't use anymore. Video, in particular, tends to take up a lot of room.
don't drag system files to the trash.
get an external hard drive. Don't buy a WD. reformat the drive with Disk Utility. Don't use any of the software that comes with the drive.
copy stuff you want to save to the external hard drive.
Once you've copied those items to the external hard drive, you can drag the originals to the trash.
    empty the trash.
    enjoy all your new space.

  • What would be a reason to restore my ipod? does it create more space?

someone told me once that if you restore your ipod every once in a while it can create more space. Is this true?

Yes, corrupt files, histories, pictures, etc. the "stuff" you keep on your iPod all take up space / memory. If you restore to new you remove all that "stuff". Of course if you do not safe a backup copy of your stuff before you restore, it will be lost to you. Good luck, Cheers.
