Creating multiple lines of text that can be edited by one line

I was editing a file in illustrator that a past designer set up and he set it up so that there are multiple lines in a column of text that are linked some how so that the first line of text can be edited and the rest will change with it. How do you set it up to do this?

I actually needed to know how to basically set up one text box created and than copied 10 times in a column but the top text field can be edited. When the top one is edited it automatically changes all of the other rows as well at the same time. I appreciate you getting back to me though. I figured it out.
Basically what you have to do is create your initial text field. With the text box selected you go to your appearances panel and click on the effects icon at the bottom of the panel and choose Distort & Transform > Transform. Then in the transform dialogue box you choose how far you want the copied text boxes to move (to the right or left) and then how many copies you would like and hit Copy. Than all you have to do is edit the first text box and all of them will change at the same time.
It is actually a pretty neat feature and will save me a lot of time when setting up some projects.

I am busy creating a screen in web dynpro for ABAP which we would like to make available via Portal ESS (Portal 7).
I need to add 'n type of table (or almost something like Excel) or something in which someone can type a few paycode numbers (there should be lets say 10 blank rows in which info can be typed in and if I click on a button or so, more rows must be added if necessary. Then in the other colums stuff like amounts must be entered which one should also be able to edit then and there.
Can anyone assist in what I can use for this? There does not seem to be some existing element that I can use.
Help will be appreciated.

Hi Debbie,
Whiel Creating table you need to be care full that use chose INPUT FIELD as the CELL EDITOR. Just guessing that if ur table is not editable u might have choosen TextView as default cell editor type.

easy way is to first add UI ELEMENT TABLE to your VIEW, then right click over it & select create binding from context. After you have a pop up where you can select what columns you want what should be its cell editor etc.

Creating a Sampler bassline that can be triggered by one key?

Hi all
I've just found the video on the Apple website that shows you how to convert, say, a beat to a sampler instrument using transient markers. A Sampler instrument is created with ascending MIDI notes that can then be altered.
I would like to do a similar thing, but put each chopped up bit of what would be a bassline on the same note. I have an electric drumkit, and I would like to be able to trigger the bassline using one of my drum pads. When I hit the pad, I would like the Sampler instrument to advance to the next note in the bassline, so I can essentially play a bassline whilst drumming.
Any ideas on how I could do this?

Sorry for the latency... I just created the Environment tool you need.
It is some kind of step sequencer Macro tool, where you can assign the Drumset triggering note and the LO/HI range target notes. The Macro sequencer steps are determined by the LO/HI range notes.
Here are the Macro Elements short description:
1. Trig.Note box - here you set you drum pad triggering note.
2. *Out Ch.* box - here you set the output midi channel for the bassline software instrument. It is supposed that you use two software instrument instances (one for drums and one for the bassline).
Example: If you switch Logic to "Live Play Mode" from the Settings>Recording>"Autodemix by midi channel if multitrack recording", then you can assign your original input Drumset to say EXS midi ch.1 Instrument and the Bassline newly converted instrument to EXS midi ch2... In this scenario assign the "Trig Note Out.Ch" (2) to midi ch.2 so the "Trig.Note" drum pad will operate as a keyswitcher and recall the midi Key Range Notes of the bass line channel ( i.e instrument ).
3. *LO Key Range* box - here you set the low key range of the Bassline Instrument.
4. *HI Key Range* box - here you set the high key range of the Bassline Instrument.
5. *Reset Button* - use it to reset the Step sequencer to the "First/LO" key range note.
6. *Play Triggering Note Button* - switch it ON if want to play/add the original drum triggering drum pad keyswitcher note. Cause it is a keyswitcher by default this button is set to "OFF"! The Trigg. Note is added to its Input Midi channel i.e to the Drum patch software instrument !

Can I add a text form field in Photoshop that can be edited in Acrobat reader?

I design coffee labels with Photoshop then send them off to the printers. The printers then open up a PDF and put in the best before date before printing. At the moment I have to add the text form fields using Acrobat Pro after i've saved the photoshop document as a Photoshop PDF. The problem is if I want to edit the labels at a later date, I have to re-add the text form fields with Acroabat again.
Can I add a text form field in Photoshop that can be edited in Acrobat reader? Is it better to use another program for this task?

CREATE USER "TEST" PROFILE "DEFAULT"
IDENTIFIED BY "test" DEFAULT TABLESPACE "USERS"
TEMPORARY TABLESPACE "TEMP"
ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
GRANT SELECT ON "TESTDTA"."F0007" TO "TEST"
GRANT "CONNECT" TO "TEST";
I have done a test and the user TEST can access all schemas, when I only gave explicit permissions to the schema TESTDTA.
Any suggestion/clarification???

Hi,
I already developed this kind of customization. The system offered the possibility to clic on a cell (Project Center, or My Task, or Timesheet), to input a value to store in a custom field, or in a database.
After clicking, a Popup with different textbox, etc...is displayed: it is possible to put values, comments, or whatever.
The benefits is that with this method, you don't have to redevelop the complete timesheet grid, which would be really complex.
Instead of that, you develop a part of javascript code, which displays a popup containing asp.net code. From the aspx page, you can make what you want: modifying the value of an task/assignment customfield for exemple.
To start, you can search for the Project Server 2010 SDK, Customize Project Center: it would be a good start point.
In case of big difficulty, ask again here, and we could get in touch to give more explanations.

You can create a sideshow in PSE but I don't know anything about ipod so can't tell you whether it can be viewed in it.
Just for interest sake, what does an ipod do? I thought it was mainly for the music and speech based stuff but you seems to suggest otherwise.

How can I edit the Subject Line of an email I've received?

When the sender inserts vague or misleading text in the Subject Line (or leaves it blank), sometimes I'd like to edit it - makes organization and retrieval of information which might be in the email easier for me.
I've tried opening the email file with a text editor (TextWrangler) and editing the "Subject" line. That partially works: When the message is open for reading, my edited Subject appears near the top of the message.
However, when looking a list of emails in a Mailbox, Mail still displays the unedited Subject - which defeats my purpose.
What am I missing, here?

Hi Gary, I think Mail is using stored info, not sure which of these two hold that, but...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.

I have an issue in which user is uploading 200 MB file in to KM. But she is getting "IisProxy.dll: 502 Bad Gateway" error.
I have tried uploading a document and was successfull in uploading 93 MB document and while uploading above this (93MB) i was getting Page cannot be found error.
I have found in refrences of same as in SAP note 820028 and on

By default the maximum file size is 128 MB. You can configure that in visual administrator.

If you as administrator need to upload a file with larger size, you can use km file repository like etc. and can upload file from OS.

We are extremely sorry that you have had a bad experience with Adobe .
As far as your issue is concerned ,Acrobat generally prompts for internet connection as it is required to activate the product before you could use it comfortably .Once the product is activated or licensed you would be able to use the software offline .
This could be the possible reason you are experiencing this .Please check if you have done so and still facing this .And if you have not ,you need to license/activate your product by typing in your credentials ,i.e Adobe ID and password .

If you still have the .doc files, it might be best to send those to your recipients so they can be edited. Otherwise, you can use ExportPDF to convert the PDF files back to .doc format. But, again, that step would be unnecessary if you have the .doc files.
