Creating new company in sap b1 8.8

Hi
While creating new company in SAP-B1 8.8, it's giving me the following information.
"Company was not added to read-only DB user. Read-only DB user must be updated manually"
I had also given the SITE password and created the new company successfully.
Can anyone help me on this please.

Thanks for Your response.
I followed the steps you mentioned. While doing that, it's asking for Read Only Db User ID & Password. If i give new ID & Password it gives the following information.
"A Read Only DB USER is assigned for all Company Database, Adding a read only DB user is irreversible. Do you want to continue"
Can you please guide me how this can be taken forward.

Hi Ricky,
We had a similar issue and found we had to create the database on another server & restore it. I think, but didn't get around to proving, that the issue occurs where the license service is running using trusted connections

Error in creating new Company

Hi All,
I am getting error when i tried to create new company that "Error in Creating files".
This Error is comming after some tables are created and Finally
new company is created but some data like GL Accounts,Languages,... etc are not cop[ied

Hi Sura,
When you failed to create a new company, nothing can be done but recreate a new one as soon as you find where it went wrong. Log to SAP support might the one viable choice if you could not figure it out.

Dear ,
In some cases this message appears when the decimal settings were
changed and the documents to be reconciled were created with different
decimal places.
Please follow the following steps in the Copy of the database :
1) Goto the Administration > System Initialisation > General Settings >
Display Tab and change the "Amount" of decimal to 6 digits.
2) Goto the Reconciliation and bring the entries to be reconciled.
3) You can check that there's a difference in there to be reconciled
enteries.
4) Creating a balancing entry for the decimal amount.
5) Reconciliation is successfully done.
If the steps above could not solve your issue, please also check the currency setting in your sysytem for the currency using in the transaction that you are trying to do the internal reconciliation. Please also change the currency decimals to 6 and check whether there is amount difference between the two transation.
Also you could check whether your issue is related with the note 1126690 below.
Symptom
When a business partner does some automatic reconciliations, but has
no manual reconciliations, running Restore BP Balance corrupts the
Reconciliation No. counter of this BP. The following error may occur
when you perform reconciliation for this BP:
Internal error "(JDT1) (-2007)
Other terms
Restore BP Balances, Business Partner Master Data, Reconciliation,
SAP Business One.
Reason and Prerequisites
Application error.
Solution
This issue was fixed in 2005B PL39 and 2005A SP01 PL44. In the patches
afterwards, restore BP balance could resolve the issue.

Unable to create New Company

We are using SAP business One 2005 B SP00 PL 06 , while creating New Company it display error message like entry already exist in table SEWSY.
Please provide help.

i think you have to restart your system and then again try to create new company.
i have try to create a company, its not given any error to me.
i you able to check your database, then make sure SEWSY table in SBO_COMMON database are blank.
i have checked my database, this table does not have any value.

Hi,
To create a new window in scripts.
1. After opening the form in SE71   Click on Windows push button.
    it will gives a screen list of windows in a page
2. Click on Edit option in menu bar in Edit-->Create Element click it will gives a popup window in the window give Name of the window and short description press enter like that you can create windows in a page
3. Click on Page windows it will gives a screen where that window you want to place in that page.    Click on Edit option on menu bar Edit-->Create Element
it will gives a list of windows which your created in a page   here you have to select which window you want to place. Double click on that window it will adds on the page and give the bottom of the screen you can find standard attributes block
there you have to give the position of the window in a page.
or
Click on setting option on menu bar settings-->form painter
it will gives a GUI editor here you can drag the window position it is easy to use.
then you can see the layout.

How to create stored procedures automatically when creating new company

I need to create a method in our add-on Business One application that will create stored procedures at the time we install the add-on (when the new company is created). Where would I store the SQL scripts, and what SAP Business One commands do I need to use to build the stored procedures into the new company database? Can someone give me an example of how to do this? We are coding in C#, but an example in visual basic would also be helpful if no one out there in forum land uses C#

Of course are there people here that use C#
To solve your problem, create a routine in your add-on that checks at startup if the stored procedures are present. If they are not, create them. You can use the DI-API, or just add them directly to your database.
<i>Note: SAP does not like it when you play around directly in the SAP databases, and does not supply support for databases that are changed manually. You'd better use the DI-API...</i>

Create New Company - Year End

Dear Expert,
I want to create a new company based on my existing company, with example Chart of Accounts, System Initialization etc. but with no BPs and transactions.
According to the help file under "New Company" create:
"Note
New companies can be also created using the Year Transfer function."
I cannot find this function in 2007A SP01 PL08 (South Africa)
Using Copy Express has not been reliable for us.
Please could you advise.

Year transfer functionality only supported for Israel and Netherlands localisation.

Issues while creating new user in SAP HANA

Hello Team
When i am trying to create a new user in SAP HANA studio i can see that there has been a new field added of DATA validity where there are two options a) Valid From and b)Valid Unitl . No matter whatever dates i give in this i got this error which creating the user . Status :- inactive
Reason :- outside validity period . PFA screen shot attached below . Please suggest what dates should be given in this field with some sample example .

Try this. Execute the following in a SQL window started by a userid that has been granted the USER ADMIN system privilege:
ALTER USER BODS1 VALID FROM NOW UNTIL FOREVER;
You can use a date instead of FOREVER --- '2016-12-31 23:59'.

u can create icon by two diffferent ways,
1. By setting PF status in Application ToolBar
set pf-status 'Test' . Double Click on the 'Test' and select proper options for ur customised scenario
2. The another way is using FunctionModule like below
- 'ICON_CREATE'

Report template error when creating new report via SAP menu

Hi everybody,
we have the following error on our system:
When trying to create a new crystal report on a SAP query, using the entry "Create new report from a SAP query" in the SAP menu an error occurs: An error ocurred while generating a new report template
The error message appears after the SAP logon and the SAP query selection.
I think this error is related to the report templates of Crystal...
Is there any default template for SAP integrated queries?
We are using Crystal Report 2008 SP2 with SAP Integration Kit.

Problem Creating New Client in SAP NW2004s ABAP+JAVA LINUX

I installed successfully NW2004s dual stack on linux vmware (SUSE10 enterprise server). This stack give me two client by default, 000 and 001. System gives me default user sap* and password: sapn4sadm
I want to implement the process for BW enabling, and I want to create New Client for it. I have been used SCC4 to create a new client by logging on with the Client 000, but the problem start, when I log-on with the new client.
Client: 002
User: sap*
Password: pass
I have tried system default password of sap* , but that also dosen't help.
It doesn't work, I also try RZ10 to change the value of login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0, but I don't find any profile , when I click on the profile field, i get the message "Profile not found". I am not figuring out where I am doing wrong.
How can I success to create a new Client in which i could log on with sap* user. Please Help me

In order to edit profiles In RZ10, you must first import them.
Menu: Utilities --> Import Profiles --> Of Active Servers
After this you can add your parameter.
One alternative is to edit the profile directly with vi, restart the system, do all client copy tasks, remove the parameter with vi, restart the system again and then import the active profiles.
the profiles are located in directory
/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile
and the filename is something like this
<SID>_DVEBMGS<instancenr>_<hostname>

I am modifying one SAP script.
It is already contains 2 pages. FIRST and NEXT.
All I have to do is to create one more page which should be display as last page.
And this last page should display some data.
I tried and created a new page in SE71 but when i execute the program, it doesn't show newly created (LAST) page.
Please guide me.

U need to force the call of this new page.
I suppose your sapscript is arrange with 2 page: FIRST and NEXT, where FIRST has NEXT as next page.
So the system automatically print the pages FIRST and NEXT: u need to insert the statament:
/: NEW-PAGE LAST
in the MAIN window.
U can create a text element NEW_PAGE and you'll call it as soon as you've finished to print the main data:
/E NEW_PAGE
/: NEW-PAGE LAST
U can use the fm CONTROL_FORM

Unable to create new connection using SAP Business One

Hi all,
I am unable to make a connection using the new SAP Business One connetion provided with the 8.8 release of SAP Business One Crystal Report Integration Package.
There are no Companies available to select from. When I try to manually type in the company name, the logon fails. If I then press "Cancel", I get a message that Crystal reports encountered a problem and needs to close. The details of the error refers to the following DLL: crdb_b1.dll.
The connection is successful from another PC that only has the Client installed (and uses the License server on our server, which also contains the databases.)
I have a local installation with my own license server. I am not even able to connect to the database on my local PC.
Please can anyone explain why this isn't working?
