Creating New "Photo" User

OK, after much confusion over multiple users and a great deal of help on these forums I have decided to create a new user account "Photos" to hold my iPhoto data and then have separate user accounts for my wife and I who can view the photos.
Currently the iPhoto library is living in my Home folder. Once I have created the new user account how do I transfer the iPhoto library across to it and what will my copy of iPhoto do when it can't find its library? Also, how do I tell the new user account's iPhoto where to find its data?

A little funky, but you only have to do it once.
Drag the iPhoto Library to the Users/ Shared Folder
Switch to this Media Account
Drag the iPhoto Library from Users/Shared to the Pictures Folder of this account.
Now, because the library is owned by you, you need to change the ownership of the files:
Download BatchMod from
http://macchampion.com/arbysoft/
And apply it to the iPhoto Library Folder using the settings found here:

Now launch iPhoto in the new account. Does the Library appear?

You can't create new albums on the iPad either. The user interface looks different, but the functionality is essentially the same.
The route is to create new albums on the desktop, and then sync via iTunes.

Can't create new photo streams in Aperture

When I select new photos to add to a photo stream, I am not prompted to create a new photo stream, they are simply sent to the stock photo stream that is already shared between my iPhone and Aperture. How can I create new photo streams in Aperture if the standard method doesn't work for me? What is wrong with my setup that I can't follow the videos of instructions because I don't get a dialog box when I try to share?

Is your Profile signature correct Mac OS X (10.7.5) ? Then you cannot create Shared Photo Streams. They require OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 and Aperture 3.4, see:
Using and troubleshooting shared photo streams.
You can create Shared Photo Streams with:
an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iOS 6
a Mac using OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 with Photo 9.4 or later or Aperture 3.4 or later
a PC using Windows 8, Windows 7, or Vista with the iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later installed. (iCloud Control Panel 2.1 required with Windows 8.)
If your system is compatible with shared streams, check, if you have enabled shared streams in both the System Preferences and Aperture's Preferences.

Creating new Photo Ablum

Hi, I have 16 gb, original iphone, and I want to creat new photo albums with different names in my iphone, but when I syncing the new photo folder, all of them going into the same folder in iphone. Is there any way to create different albums in iphone. thank you for any help

One thing that might help out.
If you are syncing photos from a folder, you can have the iphone show different albums.
The way to do this is to have one main folder that you are using to sync photos to the iphone.
Then each sub folder you create in that main folder, shows up as a different album on your iphone.
But, as the previous post, you have to create the album or folder on your computer, then sync it to the iphone.

i have looked at everything i possibly can on my phone and in the users manual. i can't figure out how to create a new photo album!

i actually just did that, shortly after i posted my question, i thought i would try it while waiting for a response.
i sync'ed the photos to my computer. created my folders and put those pictures in them. then resync'ed my phone in itunes and chose the various folders to sync. but the "folders" did not sync back to my phone. everything is still in 'camera roll'.
i just want the pics in folders on my phone so i can find pictures easier!
why are there all those spaces under camera roll if it won't let u have more than one folder!? i'm so frustrated! do i have to purchase iphoto or something?

Create new portal-user with webservice

Hi,
I'm trying to develop a ejb-webservice which is creating a new Portal-User.
The webservice is working so far, I made methods like getDisplayName() which is returning the display name to a logonId and so on. All this is working. I'm using the component sap.security.api.sda for this.
Problem: User-creation is not working. I think the problem might be, that a webservice is not authorized to create users? Or putting it in another way: Is it possible that a webservice is "logging in" at the portal, or sohehow authorizing itself?

It seems like that the problem was caused by using array-parameters in the webservice-method?!
Strange, but after removing the array-parameter from the method it worked! Before the webservice never returned anything, not an error or anything else.

Photos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. Import the photos with your computer and create an albums or albums for select photos and the same with any other photos on your computer followed by transferring the album or albums to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process. This is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. You cannot create photo albums on the iPhone.

You cannot.
You need to create them on your computer, then sync them to your ipod.

V7: How to create new authlessanonymous users

in v7, I can no longer go into the desktop settings and setup the authless user (as stated in the v6.x documentation), so how can I do this?
Obviously is can be done from the new samples installed by default.
I've tried going into the new Org, creating a "newauthlessanonymous" with the password of "authlessanonymous" and last name of default (just like the default installed ones and how I would have done it in v6.x), but that doesn't seem to work.
When I try to access the URL, it goes into an endless loop between ACM, IdM, and Portal redirecting back and forth.

Try the following:
Log in to the Portal Console (psconsole) as administrator
Click on the Portals tab, then click on the name of the portal you want (i.e. portal1)
Change the DN to TopLevel [Global] using the dropdown list at the top of the page.
Scroll down to the table at the bottom of the page and add the new authless user,
click the checkbox next to the new row and click the Set as Default button
(if you want this to be the default, that is). Then click the Save button.
You will probably have to restart your web container.

You can create a client using transaction code SCC4. Then you need to perform a client copy, use transcation SCCL to perform a local client copy from client 000 using SAP_ALL/SAP_CUST profile.
Once you are done with you need to check whether the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar is set to false (0). This can be achived in transaction code RZ10. You will have to restart the SAP server if the parameter value is altered(if not already 0).
Once the parameter is set then u can login to the client using user SAP* and password "pass". For performing client copy u will log into the destination client that is the client newly created and using SCCL perform the client copy.
Using BD54 u can create a logical system and in transaction SCC4 you can assign this logical system to the new client.
Once you are done with client copy then DDIC user will also be there with the master password given during installation time.
Using transaction SU01 you can create new users according to ur need and assign the roles/profiles as required.
Once this is done you can peform the IDOC sending and recieveing activity in between those clients.

Allowing user to create new Apex User

I have a requirement that a certain user group needs to create new users to use Apex application. With my understanding, no user can create new user without apex admin privilege. I can't give admin privilege to any user. Is there any workaround? Thanks.

Instead of having Apex Authentication, build your custom Authentication.
Create a USER table with user detail and password.
Create a login page .. for new user give a link to public page to enter their detail.
For encrypting and decrypting the password see the sample applcation. You can copy that logic for protecting the password.

You can use the photo application on your computer to create albums and then select those albums to sync.
If you sync your photos by dragging the images you want into a folder on your computer, the pictures will appear in separate photo albums on your device if you create folders inside the main folder and drag images into the new folders.

IPhoto Help tips don't help create new Photo Library

I have 35 photos of folks associated with the magazine I edit. I created a separate album for them in the present Photo Library, but I would like to disconnect them from there and keep them in a totally distinct Editorial Photo Library. The Help tips for iPhoto allow for this action, but in my attempts to make it happen, iPhoto would not launch; it continues to launch only in the original way, with the lone Library and the usual albums with all their photos.
Not wishing to risk loss of hundreds of photos, I abandoned my attempt. All I really want to accomplish is to house the Editorial photos in a completely different place. This collection will expand as the magazine takes on new contributing authors, but I don't want any of these photos intermixed with my personal albums. Part of the reason for this is that I wish to preserve my method of captioning personal photos with numerical prefixes. This is the only sure way I have found to have photos sort strictly chronologically; no alpha method works worth a fig. I would still prefer that the default launch would bring up my personal Photo Library; but it would sure be nice to be able to toggle to the only other photo library that I intend ever to use.

I'm not sure which tip you're following. When you change the name of the "current" iPhoto library, the next restart cannot open in the renamed library on its own. Your choices are to create a new library, or locate an existing one. If you follow the steps in the iPhoto Help topic "Creating a new photo library", I don't see how you can go wrong.
To bring up a library other than the current photo library, you would follow the instruction in the iPhoto Help topic "Switching between photo libraries". If you want to keep your several photo libraries all together in the Pictures folder, you just need different names for each of the iPhoto Library folders.
Export the 35 photos (simply drag them from the iPhoto window) to a temporary folder on the desktop, then restart iPhoto with the new library and import the contents of the temporary folder. You can delete the photos from the initial iPhoto collection any time after you've successfully exported them.
