Creating new special gl indecator

Hi there,
My client want to create few new "special GL indicators". I know that SAP provides standard special gl indicators and we can create new as per our requirement.
I do not know how to create new indicator - the menu path.
I tried FBKP but that is for customers.
The client has given the requirement that they would need few new indicators but in depth discussion is yet to happen. I am looking for info to create new indicator. It seems that the information about the requirement (customer / vendor etc) would help me create one. Is my understanding correct ?
Can anyone help me understand :
1) Menu path to create special GL indicator
2) How many special gl indicators can we create (maximum limit, if any)
3) How many indicators are standard i.e. provided by SAP

For Customers Special GL:
IMG > FA(New) > AR and AP > BT > Down Payments received > Define Reconciliation Accounts for Customer Down Payments
For Vendors Special GL:
IMG > FA(New) > AR and AP > BT > Down Payments made > Define Alternative Reconciliation Account for Down Payments
2) How many special gl indicators can we create (maximum limit, if any)
We can as many Alphabets (26) we have and Numbers till 9 (9) and all special characters(ex:15), finally we can create 26915 = 50 for Vendors and also we can create maximum of 50 for Customers
3) How many indicators are standard i.e. provided by SAP
You can view the SAP provided indicator by going T-Code: FBKP > Special GL Indicators > and page down (Check there)

I'm not sure about special chars such as ":" but ifyou need to have your folders displaying special language chars (like german chars), have a look into the below link.

Please find the following steps and verify:
1) Have you created the Vendor Reconciliation A/c. If not please create.
2) Have you created the Special G/L A/c for Security Deposit. If not Please create that.
3) Use T. Code: FBKP, Select Spl G/L Indicator H and Double click H
4) Then you assign Vendor Reconciliation A/c and Security Deposit A/c (Spl. G/L A/c) which you created and Save.
5) Now you can post the Spl G/L Transaction Journal postings.

Creation of New Special GL Indicator for customer long term accounts

Hi Experts,
We have a GL account (GL111) created for Long term accounts. this is a reconciliation account for customer. However, we have another GL account (GL222) assigned to our customer group this account is being invoiced for some expenses. Because of this we cannot assing GL111 to customer master data.
We need to post in the same customer expense and loans. How can we create a new special gl indicator that will allow the posting from GL222 to GL111?

Creating Own Special G/L Transactions: Specify (OBYR-T.CODE)
- The account type for which the special G/L indicator is to apply
- Posting keys (for outgoing and incoming debit and credit postings)
- How it is posted
- Properties for each special G/L indicator (noted item, relevance for the credit limit check, Warning message for liabilities and target special G/L indicator)
- transaction type (bill of exchange, down payment etc.).
EXP:Go to T.code: OBYR path: Financial Accounting (New)>Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable>Business Transactions>Down Payment Made>Define Alternative Reconciliation Account for Down Payments click on Define Alternative Reconciliation Account for Down Payments and click on double click on K F Pmt req Down Payment Requests and click on Properties (F8) and tick the Noted items ,Target sp.G/L ind. AIMB1 and save .

STRANGE PROBLEM with "Create New Mail Account.scpt" when creating POP acct.

I am using "Create New Mail Account.scpt" to create a POP account. It creates the account successfully. It fetches the mails successfully. Now the problem begins. After fetching all the mails once if u click "Get Mail" in mac mail, it fetches all the emails again and has now 1 original and 1 copy of the email set which is on the server. I just need 1 copy of the mail set not multiple. Please give me a solution or direct me to a help.

Hi amiaba, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I can't quite tell what it's doing, but open Keychain Access in Applications>Utilities, click on your Keychain on the left, put .mac in the search bar, once you find it, double click on it and click show password.
If you have no mail in there try this with Mail quit.
Drag this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Start Mail & see if it steps you through it.
Not sure on the .uk thing, but is Date & Time>Time Zone set to the UK?

New special G/L indicator for down payment when doing billing

Dear Master,
As you know, when create down payment invoice by VF01, system choose default special G/L indicator F. Now I would use new special G/L indicator for this transaction.
The reason I must change is when you do cancel down payment invoice, the accounting document of cancel down payment will not have any lines items so I have to change with hope the cancel down payment will contain lines item as normal cancel invoice.
Is there anyway to do that? I highly appreciate your support!

I have other concerns belong to cancel down payment request. As you know with notes item, cancel of notes item will not have any lines in accounting doc. Now I would have lines detail inside so Is there anyway to do that?

Gret is absolutely right ..The actions are transaction type specific and can be attached along in the customizing as mentioned above by gret , these can then be tested in the SAP gui first for their scheduled and start conditions and then in the ICWC.
There is no special settings for actions in ICWC if they are there in your transaction they will come in the ICWC.

1) Can we entitle the page created to display to some users.
You mean the "Page(s)" created by the End User when he clicks on Customize link. If so, note that this page will be available ONLY to that user. There is no other special entitlements to be assigned to. Because every user who customizes desktop will have his own set of Books/Pages/Portlets in the backend Portal Database schema. BUT if you want to set Entitlements to the Pages created by the Adminstrator, then YES, you can always set Entitlements to that Page, so that only specific set of Users, Roles (users belong toRoles) can access those Pages.
2) Can we change the hyperlink of the page to some other external page.
I am not clear with this question. When we create a Page from WorkshopIDE or Portal Admin Console or through DVT, first thing is, this page will have a unique page definition label. Now assume this page is part of some Book. So When this portal (or deskop) is rendered, Portal Framework Look and Feel files, will iterate through list of all Books and for each Book list of all Pages and construct the Menu(s) which are nohting but Hyperlinks. During this process, the hyperlink will be appended with the definition labels of each Page etc which is retrieved from Database (or .portal xml file incase of filemode). So you cannot change the hyperlink to point to someother page. Worst case, if you really want, then you need to modify the portal framework menu rendering code, to change the urls for specific page. Say PageA should be reidrected to PageB. So in your custom menu rendering code, when you hit the PageA, there check for page def label of PageA and if it matches, then add a different page def label say for PageB definition label. This is complex, but can be achieved. But my very first question is why do you want to do this and what is your exact usecase.
Note that you can always generate dynamically Links for any Portal Pages using render url tags or APIs (PostbackURL, GenericURL etc). You can have this kind of code in any JSP or Pageflows.

3) Can we integrate the page creation to the BPEL workflow.
BPEL Workflow is nothing but a WebServices. Using CustomCode, this may be possible. One way I can think of is like this. First you need to have code/logic in some Pageflow or utility class to call BPEL Workflow. As mentioned first you need to create a WebServices client JAR for this BPEL WebServices. Then add this jar to the web-content/web-inf/lib folder. Then in pageflow or utility class, get the Service, Port and invoke process method on this BPEL and pass some input parameters. Now BPEL will do some internal processing and will return the page definition labels in the response XML object based on input parameters. Then in the Pagelfow or utility class, from this response object, extract page def label and use the above code snippet to redirect to that page. This should work.
4) is there a way allow users to create new portlets from ucm and add content to the portlets.
When we allow customization for end users, usually they can choose from list of Look and Feels, create or edit Books/Pages. They cannot create Brand New Portlets. From existing list of Portlets, they can add or remove them from any Page. NOW, if you use latest WLP 10.3.2, you can consume WebCenter ADF Portlets using WSRP. Also I guess there is a plug in for UCM with WLP 10.3.2. I did not work in this area so do not have full details. But assume that you already have some UCM Portlets integrated into your portal application by adminstrator. Then End User can choose to add these UCM Portlets to the pages that he cretaes. NOW coming to the content of the Portlets, this is something you can handle through Portlet Preferences. Considerr default out of box WLP original pageflow portlets. You can have some search criteria in a content portlet. This search criteria can be modified using Edit icon ie. Portlet Preferences. So user can customize the search criteria and get the results he is interested in.

Create New Awt Component

Is it possible, and if it is, how can I create completely new gui component using awt?

Sure. Just extend Component and override the paint method to draw it the way you want. Add a mouse listener to capture clicks or drags and do whatever you want with those, etc. I create new Swing components with special behavior all the time. (I don't think I've ever done one in pure AWT, but the principle is the same.) My variations tend to be trivial, like labels with text that wraps to the available space instead of a single line, not stuff that is going to set the computer world on fire. Depening on how complex the new component you want to invent is, this might be far from a trivial task. But it's certainly do-able.

New special stock indicator

Hi MM gurus,
is it possible to add a new special stock indicator?
I have a SAP system with DIMP activated and there I have the special stock "B" availiable.
I have a SAP system with DIMP not activated and there I don't have the special stock "B" aviliable.
I need that special stock "B" on the second system as well but without activating the DIMP functions.
Is there a way to get this done?

To my knowledge it is not possible to create any special stock indicators yourself.

Dynamic Action-Delimiting a record and creating new record

2. But instead of doing in 2 steps,
   it is usually done in 1 step only, manually.
3. If we CREATE record from some date,
   then the OLD will AUTOMATICALLY get Delimited.
(We don't have to do anything specially for delimiting
the old record)

Copying a symbol -- create new symbols?

Alright, so say I have a movie clip, whose name is "A". This
clip contains a graphic, named "B". Now, there are two things I
want to do: the first is copy the movie clip as a new symbol and
then edit the graphic in this new symbol. Ok, so I do that special
"Copy to new instance" or whatever feature (the name escapes me)
and it will now paste a movie clip called "A copy" or some name
like that. However, this symbol "A copy" will still contain the
graphic "B", and so I won't be able to edit "B" for only "A copy".
The "B" in both A and "A copy" will change.
So I ask, is there a copy function that will create a new
symbol for A and also create new symbols for all the objects inside
A? (i.e. in the example this copy function would give me a movie
clip called "A copy" containing a graphic called "B copy)

in addition to david - duplicate A and B - then you can edit
either one without effecting the originals.

it seems using PA40 to create new employee.
i just want to create simple person with infotype 0000, but when i using 'HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA' it will automitically jump into new screen of new infotype such as 0001 without push saving button the same as i use PA40.
How could i control the screen sequence ?

You cannot create Employees using this FM HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA. This FM can be used to maintain infotypes AFTER an employee/applicant has been created in SAP(pa40).
i think there are no FMs to create Employees. There are FM's to create,update,delete,delimit etc other infotypes but IT0000(actions) Need to be performed either using PA40 or thru other mass data entry precedures like LSMW etc. where Recording of a transaction is performed.
and coming to the jumping of screens u mentioned, it is initiated by Infogroups, where the sequence of infotypes to be maintained while performing an action are defined.
you can remove the infotypes you dont want to maintain by identifying the infogroup and deleting it from there.
also for this FM 'HR_MAINTAIN_MASTERDATA' the important import parameter itself is PERNR? how are u using this FM to create an employee?
any special reason why u wanna use a Function module to create an employee?

Hmmm, mine stack up over the pinned icon as you would expect (Win7Pro x64). Is there anything special about the way you're starting up Firefox? Security sandbox? Using any command-line switches?
