Creating new subarea in existing Area

Hi Guys,
I need to configure new subarea like "holiday calendar " in WorkingTime Area,
can anyone tell me how to configure through SPRO tcode please ..

Define the new resource in V_T7XSSSERRES and link it to your portal page.
Define the new service in V_T7XSSSERSRV and link it to your resource.
Define a new sub area in V_T7XSSSERSARB
Assign your service to the new sub area in V_T7XSSSERSAR
Finally, add your new sub area to the existing area in V_T7XSSSERAR

Problem in creating new versions for existing DIR using CV01N

I am working in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4.0 system.
I have problem in creating new versions for existing DIR using CV01N
I create a DIR version 00 with functional location and mpd cycles. Then when i try to create a new version by copying the contents created from already created document.I change the MPD cycles in the new version and save it.
once when i display the first document created the mpdcycle specified in version 01 is copied to the 00 version.
The document is inconsistent where versioning of document doesnot work properly wrt MPDCYCLE and MP HEADER.
The problem which i found was the document identification guid remains the same for all the document versions getting created.
The same is working fine in SAP ERP6.0 EHP3.0 sytem.
Please someone help me in resolving the above issue.

There is a change in the standard code.The reason for the above problem was because of a missing Enhancemnet point in a standard function module 'CV110_DOC_CREATE_WITH_TEMPLATE'.

Created a custom enhancement point similar to SAP ECC6.0 EHP 3.0 system.
The reason was the buffer was not getting cleared previously.After inserting the above code the DIR's are getting created withot any issues.

You can try LSMW (Direct method) for uploading class values.
Upload file can hae following structure:

Creating new column in existing pdf doc

I am trying to add a new column with some CFif content into a pdf doc that is already created. the original pdf doc contains a table PropertyDetails_T with columns such as 1st column : 'customer name' 2nd col : 'no. of. vehicles' 3rd column : 'area of farmland'. I have to insert a new column between 1st and 2nd.
i am using dreamweaver. in design mode i inserted columns to right of 1st column and added the column name "area of property".
Next i include CFif lines in code mode as given below :

but after writing these lines and saving, the table in design mode has been messed up. i see that CFif content of 'no.of vehicles' has been moved to the next column 'area of farmland'. i have the new Cfif content - <cfif getPropertyDetails_T.areaofProperty NOT EQUAL "">

where it should be that is 'area of property' column.
But i see that value '0.00' has been diplayed below the column 'no.of vehicles' instead of the CFif content that was previously added to it and is now pushed to next column.
does anyone have pointers as to how i could correctly apply indentation or code it right to align the right column to the right CFif contents.

Create new or use existing info object ? How to decide ?

I have this question.
I enhanced the data source with a field user ID, now I am mapping it in the transfer rules in bw. When I searched in the system (ctrl F in infobjects of RSA1) I could find related info objects but they are currently being used in several places.
Can I use the existing one or do I have to create new info object ? How can I decide this ?

Hi,
it just depends on the content of the 0USERNAME or 0USER_NAME depending on use. Usually these Infoobjects contain the source system user name (login name) for example the entries maintained in SU01 of the SAP R3 system.
If your extractor delivers the same entry, feel free to use it. If it is another kind of username (i.e. external system, database user etc.) it may be usefull to define a new object. But if you define your own ZUSERNAME Infoobject remember to provide loads for the Text and attribute fields (if required). This is for free, if you can use available infoobject which are already maintained by earlier projects.

Hi,
Create the DC in the Track with same name.
to do this, you need to remove the DC name reservation in the SLD,
After that, copy src of old project and paste in the new project,
before copying the src, you have to add the depedencies in your new dc as per the old dc, becuase the copying won't take the dependent dc reference,
after adding the dependent dc's you can copy the src to new dc,
when you paste the src under new dc's that should promt you for add some files to acitvity, other wise delete the src and paste it again until u get the popup to add files to activity,
after pasting - repair the dc project strucutre, roload and rebuild after that check manually all the depenceies are working, now you can build the dc and deployee,
this process work for only for the same naming dc's,
i have done this, this will work fine,

How to create new solution from Existing solution in integration services on TFS project?

Hi,
I am working on SSIS Project and it is created in VS 2008 .I opened the solution in VS 2010 and it is upgraded and unfortynately i don't have the back up to re open it in VS 2008.I am thinking of creating new solution from the existing one and open the new
solution in VS 2008.I was struck how can we copy existing solution to new solution on TFS.
Please let me know will this process work? and also how can we create a new solution without losing any files.
Any help is appreciated.

As Joost said, you can try to revert the changes back for the checked in files in TFS. For more information, please see:

SharePoint 2013 unable to create new column with existing column name

I'm currently having a problem in creating my first custom list in my SharePoint site. When I tried to create a new columns with existing name, e. g "date reported" = Date/Time , "Due Date" =
Date/Time
It's prompt the error like this " The page at sharepoint.itechdomain.com says: The Column name that you entered is already in use or reserved. Choose another name." I've read some forum, someone say's they need javascript command
to fixs the problem. If these the solution for my problem, I'm not familiar on how to used javascript in my sharepoint.
Kindly help me how to fixs my problem as soon as possible.

Procedure to create new table using existing metadata

Hi All,
THis is what I want to achieve,
I want to create procedure which will take a input parameter as name of a table lets say 'EMP',
and this procedure will check whether that table exist or not?
if exist then
it will create a new table with name appending _dummy to existing table name (ex: new table will be EMP_DUMMY) ,
and new table should have the same table structure ,index and constraint imposed on EMP table.
NB: It should not be created using as select like create table EMP_DUMMY as select * from EMP where condition=false;

Creating new template using existing template

Is anyone aware of a way to create a new project template using an existing template? I am testing a few scenarios and want to quickly be able to create a template without setting one up from scratch.
I tried a few ways but could not find a way to do this - you can only create a project using a template, not another template.

Creating new DB in existing ASM

Hi,
I've 2 nodes where 11g grid is installed and 2 database are already running in existing ASM.
For ASM and 2 database we are using same listener configured in default port running from one db home.
Now, I'm installing the third Database where listener is running in new DB home in different port.
While selecting ASM as storage in DBCA, it throws an error "Could not connect to ASM instance".
In DBCA log, I see it is trying to connect using the new listener port(running in new DB home ) with ASM instance name and throwing an error.
Any inputs?

why would you want to bounce the listener?
If you really have to do something to the listener you can reload it.
This will have no effect on clients connecting to the server or that is currently connected.
Log on as the grid user and run
lsnrctl reloadStill I don't see why you would want to update the existing one?
If you use the current listener from your GRID_HOME everything will work as it should and you don't have to update the listener.ora
Especially not with 11gR2 Grid which automatically configures the listener.ora to use SCAN listeners.

Create New Project with existing Source

I'm new to JDeveloper (10.1.3) IDE. I want to create an Application with an existing Source. As my application cosists of different folders and each module code is present in their respective folders.
In eclipse i will point to the main folder of the project.
ie.
folder1
|-->folder2
|-->folder3
i will point out to folder1
(NOTE: folder 2 and folder 3 consists of source code of respective modules)
Pls help me in this regard so that i can make use benefits of Jdeveloper.

Create a new workspace and an empty project in it. Then go to project properties for that project and just add the directories you want under the "project content" node.

Create new characteristics for existing release strategies

Dear experts,
Whenever I have a roll-out, I have to create a new characteristic that is the purchase order value in local currency, that is to be assigned to the class used for the Release Strategies of purchase orders.
The problem is that whenever I do this, all the existing release strategies have an additional characteristic to be maintained. Since I have more than 1.500 release strategies, I have to go through each one of them and except for the new release strategies, put >= zero in this new characteristic.
Is there any way, that whenever I create this new characteristics, I can define a default value that will be assigned to every existing release strategies in the system?
I've tried to use the default value, but it only works when I'm introducing the characteristics values for the first time in the release strategies.
Any ideas?
