Creating Pages for an iPhone in InDesign

I'm creating pages for an iPhone using InDesign CC 2014 on Windows 7 (64 bit) and need to simulate in on a PC, but how?

In Windows, you have to use OTF fonts(Compatible for Win and Mac), Then you can create pages. Then only Iphone supports to open.

Because Keynote does not have the industrial-strength tools to handle long form text and large numbers of graphics. A yearbook can run a couple hundred pages and involve hundreds of photos. I would not touch such a project with anything that wasn't truly up to the task. The best software would be InDesign or QuarkXPress. Word is not good enough. Pages is not good enough. You will tear your hair out as you fix problems on page after page, photo after photo. Keynote would probably be laughable for a yearbook. I use Keynote for presentations, Keynote is the best at what it does. A yearbook is nothing like a presentation.

I was trying to take my Mac air to factory default settings.
I've done all that it says in the documment i was following, and them during the process it asked me the APPLE ID.
I put the apple id i have in my iphone. But it's not the one... it's said that i don't have any OSX associated with it... so it can not install the OSX.
So what can i do?

Thank you. So it is ok to download the different number. Also, someone just emailed me saying that iCloud is really not a storage. Does one have to get SugarSync, etc. then?

If I get Pages for my iPhone, will it open Mac Pages '06 files?

I have an iPhone 4. No cell service. I have been experimenting with LogMeIn and Cubby on my iPhone and 2 old (2006) laptops. One is a MB and one a MBP. I have Pages '06 on my laptops, and OSX 10.6.8. I can use LogMeIn and a WIFI connection to view old Pages documents on the iPhone, but I want to use Cubby directly if possible. When I try to open a Pages document, it lets me know it can not. So I thought perhaps I would get Pages for the iPhone. But if it won't open Mac Pages '06 files, there is no point.
I suppose I could print each of my Pages documents on my Mac to pdf. Then I could view them in Cubby. And instead of $10 for a version of Pages for my iPhone that may not open the old stuff anyway, I would just have to spend a lot of time printing all the files I want.
What do you think?

Based on this, I believe Pages '06 is not directly supported, but you could use some intermediate representation (e.g., PDF) to import your work.

Yes, it's available now. Open the App Store on your iPhone (or iPod Touch 4th generation) and search for "Adobe Content Viewer."

Not necessarily. You could go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and turn on Automatic Downloads (for Music, Apps, and Books). But that will probably apply to future purchases, not past ones.
My suspicion is you can use iTunes to get Pages, or go through KC7GNM's advice and download it through the store and not get charged.

HT4623 iPhone latest update creates issue for my iPhone 4

After updating my iPhone 4 with the latest update software, I had been experiencing lagging, hang during phone calls, hang before picking up calls (which leads to unanswered calls), total hang in software that makes even hard restart difficult. What's happening?

Another option is to perform the update via iTunes instead. You need the space to download the update and if you don't have the space, you can't update over the air.
If you connect your phone to your computer, you can back it up (manually) onto the computer with iTunes then perform the update and it should all come back fine. I've found that sometimes it's even faster doing it that way.

Pages Document created on Macbook Air cannot be opened on Ipad Mini. I get a message that reads, "only documents saved in pages '09 may be opened." These devices are one week old and I just downloaded Pages for each.

I just got a Macbook Air running 10.8.2 and an iPad Mini. I downloaded Pages for both. I created a document in pages on the MBair and tried to save it to the iPad Mini so I could work on it while commuting and the file does not show up on the mini. I have tried to saved the file through iTunes app page and the message keeps telling me I can only transfer files saved in Pages 09. What gives? I can transfer files made in Microsoft word no problem, but files made in the same program do not work. Any help?? Very frustrating.

You are aware that Pages for Mac and Pages for iPad /iPhone/iPod are 2 different program?

Creating Help for Iphone/Android app

I need to create help for an iPhone and Android app using RoboHelp 10.
Which option do I choose for a New Project: Blank Project or Application Help?
And, which output do I choose under "File > Generate"? I see an option for "Native Mobile App." But, I'm not seeing a "Multiscreen HTML5" option.
Which file do I give the developer?

That's a pretty big question and you haven't given us any clues such as which version of RoboHelp you are using and whether it is just this form of help that is new to you or help in general.
It doesn't really matter whether you choose Blank Project or Application Help as they are just starters with different default topics and you will be trashing them anyway. For now let's say start with Blank Project and create your topics. You do need to keep in mind they will be viewed on various devices. More about that later.
When that is done you start thinking about creating a suitable output. Multiscreen HTML5 is the output in RoboHelp 10. RoboHelp 11 was released today and that has a new output, Responsive HTML5. That is simpler, especially first time out. Both of those types are intended for use where they will be viewed via a browser, be that on a desktop or a mobile device.
It is not clear whether you want your company's app to access help in that way or whether the need is for the help to be an app in its own right. The latter adds another layer of learning. Essentially after creating an HTML5 output, you use the script to create an app. From the questions you ask, I suspect you will need developer assistance with that.

Can you change the currency formatting in a cell using Pages for iPhone?

Since my MacBook Pro is grumpy this morning, I downloaded Pages for my iPhone and then purchased the app "Inspiration Set" which contains a group of templates for use in Pages. I think the original templates were built on a Mac.
I have opened up the template, changed all the info to build my invoice, but they have a group of cells set for pounds instead of dollars. Does the iPhone version of Pages allow me to reformat these cells as dollars, instead of pounds?
My Mac is STILL not starting up, so I HAVE to be able to find a solution using the iPhone ONLY...

Update: I wrote the following before putting on my glasses and realizing that you were asking about Pages rather than Numbers. Maybe the same procedure will apply.

Tibetan Font Problem in Pages for iPhone/iPad

There is a problem in typing Tibetan in Pages for iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad). More specifically, when we are typing conjunction Tibetan letters, it will sometimes omit the root letter or the upper letter. For example, in the picture, the last second words should be སྐྱོན་ཤོར་བ། སྐྱོན་ཤོར་བ། but it became ྱོན་ཤོར་བ། སྐྱོན་ཤོར་བ།
When we copy/paste the letter from other sources such as online Tibetan writings/IM/email, it will have no problem.

Flash CS6 How to set up pages for an animated app/book for children

Hi there,
I'm quite experienced with flash/ middle ground in AS3 for flash player, but would like now to make apps using AIR. I have two questions:
1 - Could anyone tell me how to create pages for an animated book (such as Alice on the ipad, etc)?
• Should I create all pages on the main timeline, in different frames, or should I use a loader for each time the user turns the page? and how to put a "flip" page effect?
2 - I don't understand how AIR compiles. All the files should be in the library or there is some sort of "root" folder for dynamic download? (for music, pictures, video etc)
• When you create an app do you put all your objects in the timeline? Instantiate at runtime with ActionScript? how this affects performance?

You can't enter sites in a list to make Firefox remember names and passwords for specific sites.
If the password manager is enabled (remember passwords is check-marked) then Firefox will ask via a pop-up from the key icon that appears on the location bar whether you want to remember that name and password and that name will then appear in the list in the password manager window.

Websites can use autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.<br />
