Pay structure consistency across employee, position, job
Hi
I want to create an ad-hoc report with employee pay structure (pay type, area, group, level) on IT 0008 and their position pay structure on IT 1005 and job pay structure on IT 1005.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
ManishI do not think an Ad-Hoc query will work. You can assign only one ldb to a query and you need data from PA (ldp - pnp) and OM( ldb=pch)
You will need to write an abap report for this requirement. to the best of my knowledge and belief.
If you want to create a query, then another way would be to create a PNP based infoset, and add some additional fields in 0001 of your own, and for these additional fields put some abap code of your own to retrieve planned compensation details from position and job.

Create a structure type at runtime
Hi friends,
is it possible to create a local structure type dynamically(at run time). My situation is as follows :
The user gives a period of time - for Example from "05.03.2009" to "04.03.2010"
Depending on the number of months between the period of time
I have to create a structure with field names as follows:
I have calculated the number of months between a period of time and the field name also(Mar-09.Apr-09 extra) using function modules.
The question that is running around my head now is how to create the local structure type at run time with the field names.
TYPES: BEGIN of st_testStruct
matnr type string,
land type string,
"The above to fields in the structure will always be there but depending on the period of time.
the following fields have to created dynamically.
Mar-09 type string, " as the time period starts from "05.03.2009"
apr-09 type string,
may-09 type string,
........so on
dec-09 type string,
jan-10 type string,
feb-10 type string,
mar-10 type string,
end of st_testStruct.
depending on the time range the number of field could be more or less in the structure type.Thats why I want to create it dynamically.
Any sample code for this purpose is useful.....
Thanks
PABAP RTTS is what you're looking for - check out this [Wiki page|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/RuntimeTypeServices+%28RTTS%29], which should answer your questions... (here's the link to the [ABAP online docu|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABENRTTI.htm])
Cheers, harald
p.s.: Don't use the hyphen in your field names. This was a bad practice that was used in some old releases. The problem is that fields in a structure are addressed with a hyphen, e.g. like mara-matnr. -
How to create custom structure in smart forms & use them in interface
hi experts....
can anyone tell me how to use custom structure in
form interface (parameters) without creating any structure
in the dictionary.Hi Shrama,
If you want to use the structure in interface. You have to create structure in dictionary.
if you create in form or in report ..they won't recongnize the local structures.
Thanks,

i am getting the error while creating the structure in se11.
well i am creating the structure in the following way
in component i am giving the values as bom and in component type i am giving the value as meins.
i am getting the status warning message as the below
'field name does not agree with the proposed name base_bom for bapi table'
2)
and more over can we create the structure as the follwing in se11.
component = f1 and
component type = tablename-fieldname
when i am doing in the second way i am getting the error as the following table is not active though the table is activehi guru,
just component name as --- your field name.
where as component type as give just data element k.
no need to give tablenme-fieldname k.

Error while creating Org structure Message no. BBP_LOCATION009
Hi
Iam trying to build an SRM6.0 with backend as R/3 4.7
I have replicated the plats from back end with report BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM
On errors rectified the same and finally, SLG1 report shows no errors.
But still noticed that T77S0 table entry with GPID=EBP, SEMID= LMIGR is not set to X (Refer note 563180)
Due to the above problem while creating org structure when I click on Att inheritence or Extended attributes Locations tab,
I get the message:
Start program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL first (see Note 563180 and long text)
Message no. BBP_LOCATION009
Diagnosis
You tried to call a program that uses a location. The locations have not
yet been replicated.
System Response
The current program has been terminated.
Procedure
Start the program to replicate the locations. You can find more
information in SAPNet in Note .
Procedure for System Administration
You can disable this message by starting table maintenance (SM30) for
table T77S0. Change the entry EBP/LMIGR to "X". Note that the system
cannot supply certain information if the locations are not replicated.
Locations that do not exist can be deleted during attribute maintenance.are you working with multiple backend systems?
can you retry downloading the plants with the report
BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL
and then give the logical sys name as yr present backend?

Vehicle Scheduling Error:Error when creating transport structures in live C
HI Gurus,
We have one background job defined for Vehicle scheduling, which shows completed successfully but in log it says that :
: Error when creating transport structures in liveCache and Not possible to schedule shipment in the planning horizon.
My planning horizon is for 90 days from current date and demand horizon is for 30 days.
I have checked the VS profile and i dont find any problem with profile.
Can you please help me in finding what exaclty went wrong
Thanks,
AMolTry This..
1. Open the crystal client on your local machine and import that particular report.
2. Do Database -> Verify Database. Then refresh the report on your PC and make sure that it returns data as expected.
3. Export it back to repository and try scheduling it again. You can verify through CMC for Crystal Reports under " Database Configuration" property to make sure it points to the right ODBC.

How I create a structure in the ABAP DICTIONARY?
I need a structure for a FORM, how can I create a structure in the ABAP DICTIONARY?
Thanks!!Hi Carlos,
Go to SE11(ABAP Dictionary).
Select the Data Type radio button.
Specify the name for your structure.
Note structure in customer namespace should start with Z or Y.
Press the create button.
Then in the next dialog box select the structure radio button.
Then you will get in to the structure screen.
Give a meaningful description for your structure.
Add the relevant fields and finally activate.

Steps to Create a structure in t.code se11
hi,
I want to know the steps to create a structure in se11.
i want to include these fields:
<u>Table</u> <u>field</u>
ekpo - ematn
v_024 - ektek
ekko - verkfHi,
1. Go To SE11
2. Select the radio button "Data Type"
3. Enter the structure name "ZXXX"
4. Click create button
5. Dialog box will appear
5. Select the radio button "Structure" from that dialog
6. A new screen "Dictionary: Maintain Structure" will appear
7. Enter the short description
8. Create components ( means fields ) by clicking Buit-in type / component button.
Built-in means SAP standard DATA types
Components means using existing Domain/Data element
Ex:
Component: ABC
data Type: CHAR
9. Now click the save button (Control + S)
10. Click the "Activate" button (Control + F3)
11. Now your structure is ready to use.
Note:
In your case you can go for Component type to declare the fields. Since you have EMATN, EKTEK and VERKF.

Create a structure based on Selection option field values?
Hi Guys,
can anybody tell me is ther anyway to creat a strucitre after giving the values to selection screen .I have a req where fiscal period is entered based on this i have to create a structure suppose i he give 3 to 8 then i have to create a strucure with with some fields including period3 period4 like that until Period8 so is there anyway tocreate like that or not?
Thanks,
Gopi. You need an internal table not a structure. Either count from from the low value to the high value adding a record to the table or select the entries from the Period master table for that selection range.
Option 1
REPORT ZCOUNT.
tables: t009b.
select-options:
s_period for t009b-poper no-extension.
data:
gt_poper type table of poper,
gs_poper type poper.
start-of-selection.
move s_period-low to gs_poper.
while gs_poper le s_period-high.
append gs_poper to gt_poper.
add 1 to gs_poper.
endwhile.
loop at gt_poper into gs_poper.
write:/ gs_poper.
endloop.
endloop.
Option 2
REPORT ZCOUNT.
tables: t009b.
select-options:
s_period for t009b-poper.
data:
gt_poper type table of poper,
gs_poper type poper.
start-of-selection.
select poper
from t009b
into table gt_poper
where bdatj = '2007'
and poper in s_period.
loop at gt_poper into gs_poper.
write:/ gs_poper.
endloop.
Not sure if t009b is the right table.

How to create a structure which can hold a dynamic table as a field in DDIC
Hi ,
I am designing a solution for a problem and have a unique requirement. I need to create a structure which can hold a field where dynamic table data can be stored. Let me illustrate with an example :
My structure ( say Z_output_struc ) will have the fields
Table_name Table_Data
My function module will have a table type of the above structure, so in effect ,my output can have multiple table names and related to each of them, there will be table data of that table name. The issue is how do I configure this in DDIC ?
I tried creating table_data as "Type ref to Data" but was stuck inside the func module when I tried to transfer data to this.
Any pointers as to how to think about this differently ?
Best Regards,
GirishHi Girish,
you start directly from the ref to data. You assign it to a field symbol and cast this to the type of the destination of your select. So you can directly add the reference to the cache:
I hope this example helps a bit (I took a form instead of a function module as it is easier to add here and used an hr table as kna1 is empty on my test system):
REPORT z_rwe_99_dyn_tab_cache.
* type definition
TYPES:
BEGIN OF _s_cache,
table TYPE tabname16,
cache TYPE REF TO data,
END OF _s_cache,
_t_cache TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF _s_cache.
* data declaration
DATA:
lv_table TYPE tabname16,
lv_condition TYPE string,
lt_cache TYPE _t_cache.
* define table and condition
lv_table = 'HRP1000'.
lv_condition = 'plvar = ''01'' and otype = ''S'' and objid = ''50000016'''.
* get the result of a single table into the cache
PERFORM get_dyn_table USING
lv_table
lv_condition
CHANGING
lt_cache.
* form to read a single table
FORM get_dyn_table USING
iv_table TYPE tabname16
iv_condition TYPE string
CHANGING
ct_cache TYPE _t_cache.
FIELD-SYMBOLS:
<lt_table> TYPE ANY TABLE.
DATA:
ls_cache TYPE _s_cache,
lr_data TYPE REF TO data.
CREATE DATA lr_data TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF (iv_table).
ASSIGN lr_data->* TO <lt_table>.
SELECT * FROM (iv_table) INTO TABLE <lt_table>
WHERE
(iv_condition).
ls_cache-table = lv_table.
ls_cache-cache = lr_data.
APPEND ls_cache TO ct_cache.
ENDFORM. "get_dyn_table
If you have more questions just give another post.
