Creating pdf file to word document

I signed up for what i thought was a free trial but the trial evidentially is not free like it states. all tho, i did get the instructions i needed to perform the process of changing from PDF to word document.  Now I go to the document and go to sign in and it wont let me type in the box for user name or password, even tho, Im signed in to the adobe site.  I don't understand this as I see I am not the only one having problems getting this to work, I have tried now for over a week to get this one page to print out, and finally it did it and I don't know what I did to make it work, but I made 3 copies of this form the other day.  Now today I'm trying again and still having the same problems that I was having the other day.  I found out that you can get dropbox for free on your computer and if you can drag the document to the dropbox or the file name, it will also change the document for you into a word format to print out the form.  Just would like to give out this information as it is very good at printing out pictures off you I phone and other devices also.

Hi ladyl123,

  • Creating pdf files from word document and allow copying of content

I generate word documents and then save them in PDF format before sending out to clients.  Sometimes these documents contain quite a lot of data in table format and I want my clients to be able to copy the data from the tables and be able to paste it into excel.  How do I save as PDF and still allow copying of content?
    Thanks

Open such a PDF in Adobe Reader: File | Properties | tab Security.  It will tell you if copying is allowed or not.
I don't know if you can change these security options from Word; you'll have to ask Microsoft.  To change them after the PDF was created, you will need Acrobat.

I need to convert PDF file to Word Document, so it can be edited. But the recognizing text options do not have the language that I need. How I can convert the file in the desired of me language?

The application Acrobat provides no language translation capability.
If you localize the language for OS, MS Office applications, Acrobat, etc to the desired language try again.
Alternative: transfer a copy of content into a web based translation service (Bing or Google provides a free service).
Transfer the output into a word processing program that is localized to the appropriate language.
    Do cleanup.
    Be well...

  • I can't create pdf files from word 2003 files in acrobat 9 pro any more

Until recently, i was able to make pdf files from word 2003 documents using the "create pdf from file" in acrobat 9 pro. Combining several word documents into 1 pdf was also a piece of cake.
Now, this doesn't work any longer. If i want to select the files, office 2003 files are no longer listed in the supported file formats.
    See the picture below

Try running a Repair Installation on Acrobat (via the Help menu).

  • Create PDF from a Word document within Acrobat

    Hi!
I am having trouble to create a PDF from a Word document within Acrobat itself, and not by using PDF Maker in Word. When I try to create a PDF using Acrobat, it gives me the choice to choose any Office format file, but Word format doesn't appear. I can convert from an Excel document or a PowerPoint document, but not from a Word document, even if Word 2010 is installed and works perferctly. Why?
I know I can make a PDF in Word itself by printing to the Adobe PDF printer or by using PDF Maker, but I want to resolve the issue in Acrobat that prevents me to select a Word document in the Create PDF dialog window. You can see the dialog box in the screenshot attached.
    Any help would be appreciated.
I am using Acrobat X version 10.1.8 on Windows 7 Home Premium and I have Office 2010 installed (with Word 2010).

Thanks for your reply. PDF Maker works in all of my Office applications. However, in Acrobat, the file formats available for me to create PDF from figure all the Office file formats except the one for Word. This is not normal. At my school, Acrobat X and Office 2007 are installed, and I can use there both PDF Maker in Word and creating PDF from Word document within Acrobat.
So I think maybe there's a key in my Windows registry that is not set correctly? or something like that. I repaired the installation of Office 2010, and I did so for Acrobat X too, but it doesn't help. Any idea of how I can resolve that?

    Hi Irene,

How to convert a PDF file to Word:
Open a file in Acrobat XI.
Choose Tools > Content Editing > Export File to Microsoft Word Document.
Click Settings to turn on optical character recognition (OCR) if your PDF contains scanned text.
Name the Word file and save it in a desired location.
    Using Export PDF subscription:
    Sign in to: https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf
Click on the blue button that says 'Select PDF Files to Export' and you will see the following window:
You can either navigate to the location of the pdf file you want to convert or simply drag the files on to this window.
After selecting the file, select the 'Export Format' like Word or Excel etc. and then click on the Blue 'Export to Word' button to convert the pdf into the desired format.

  • Unable to convert PDF file into word document

I just signed up with Adobe in order to convert a PDF file into a word document and it continues to fail.  Any suggestions.

If you have adobe X, simply go to "File" -> "Save-As" and Microsoft Word is an option. Also, there is a download (paid) called Able2Extract that will allow you to convert pdfs to word, excel, etc. but the formatting is often lost. If you get the premium package, you can even convert scanned documents. I've used Adobe X to do the conversion, and it retains headers, footers and all formatting.
And i personally share you with a article about how to converting PDF files to Word(.doc), you just need to follow the easy guide.
Hope it can help you a lot.

  • How to create PDF files from word with non-selectable content

    Hi folks,
I am creating a PDF from a newsletter in Word (using print to Adobe PDF).
I have checked the options available in the printer, but there are none that seem to allow this.
I want to prevent the recipent from being able to click on obvious graphic objects e.g. signatures, within the newsletter and copy them to clipboard. I appreciate you can do this still with a screen capture, but I want to make it difficult.
    Is this possible?
    TIA

That looks like it should work, but it doesn't.
I opened the PDF I had created from Word in Acrobat (X Pro). Went to File > Properties. Selected "Change Settings". I then enabled "Restrict editing...", set a password, set "Printing Allowed" to "none", "Changes Allowed" to "none", and ensured that "Enable copying of text..." was disabled.
I saved the PDF file, closed Acrobat, opened the PDF in Reader, and I was still able to select text and graphical objects.
I reopened the PDF in Acrobat, and the document summart still shows everything as allowed. When I click on "show details" (from File > Properties) it shows the correct settings.
    Any ideas?

  • Acrobat 7.0 Professional purchased version won't create PDF files from Word 2000

I am running Windows 7 and have installed Acrobat 7.0 and Word 2000.  I know, it's an old version, but this combination always worked on my old computer.  When I install Acrobat on my computer I received the following message:  "Warning 20225.  Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Setup was unable to create a new item:  Adobe PDF Port & Printer.  The Adobe PDF Printer may be unavailable."  Then it tells me the installation was successfully completed.  When I attempt to create a PDF from a Word 2000 file, I get this error message:  "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files."  And it asks if I want to run the installer in repair mode, but all it does it try to re-install the program and fix things but then I get the same "Warning 20225..." message mentioned above.  If I have the original purchased installation discs of both Word 2000 and Acrobat 7.0, why won't they work together on my new computer running Windows 7?  They worked fine on my old computer using Windows XP.  Help!!!

I just answered this question in http://forums.adobe.com/message/4251547#4251547. Basically you should be able to create a PDF (assuming you are not using a 64-bit system and then I have no clue), but not in the automated way you are used to doing. The first step would be to change the printer port for the Adobe PDF printer (assuming the driver got installed) to file. Then when you print or use PDF Maker, it will ask you for the file name. It will create a PS file (may have a prn extension) that you have to open in Distiller to complete the rest of the conversion. A bit of extra work, but workable. You are looking at a Win7 issue that has caused major problems for many software vendors, not just Adobe. The newer versions of Windows seem to ignore a lot of compatibility needs. Don't forget that with VISTA they had to add the help system back in because their own MS Office needed it.
