1.Can we write plug-ins/ add on to LMS components? If yes please let me know how? any links would be helpful.
2.Does LMS support discovery based on LLDP? If no, can we write our own plugin to take care of device discovery?

The EnergyWise "plug-in" for LMS consists of two updates: RME 4.3.1 and HUM 1.2.1. The RME piece is mainly for provisioning while the HUM piece is purely for monitoring.
Once the updates are installed, you will see each application offers features for EnergyWise management (e.g. reports, tasks, pollers, etc.).

we would like to create a daily report for checking (by user-tracking function) mac-address list on the network.
I try to use “report designer” on “report” dashboard without any success. Could you help us to provide or create a method for applying a report job every day for checking our mac-address list

you can do the following
1. -create a quick report {Reports > Inventory > User Tracking > Quick Report}
2.export the last report which I suggested and filter the MAC address you are interested in
3. you can create a Custom report {Reports > Report Designer > User Tracking > Custom Reports } as per your need.

3rd Party Plug-ins for Illustrator

EskoArtwork has a Dynamic Barcode 3rd party plug-in for Illustrator that is listed on the Adobe wesbiste for Illustrator CS6. I puchased it and downloaded it but during the install I get a message saying it can't find a compatible Adobe Illustrator installation on my computer (I have CS6 installed). Upon reading the information on EskoArtwork's package, it says it is only compatible with CS4, CS5 and CS5.5. Is there a way to get this to work with CS6? If not, I would suggest Adobe take it off their list of Plug-In's for CS6.
Also - if it is not compatible, does anyone know of a similar plug-in that would generate and insert bar codes into packaging designs?

You'll probably need to ask EskoArtwork about this.
In past versions, I've been able to move plugins from the plugin directory for the old version to the new version, and often it worked. (YMMV, it depends on changes in the SDK.) You might try creating empty directories for a CS5 version number to see if the installer will work.

2. Will I then be able to use these Win 7 pro 64 - Recovery discs in the future should I need to "clean install Win7 Por 64 on the computer again ?
3. Also, If I use an Imaging Pgn like - Paragon Backup and recovery will I be able to reload win7 image and have win7 activated automatically just be restoring the Paragon backup image ?

I have a Verbatim 2TB external USB 3.0 drive plugged into the PC. It's used for both my weekly image backups as well as my nightly data backups. I have one of these on EACH machine in my environment, for backups local to that machine. I also use them on machines I build for friends and family, as everybody needs a backup system for "priceless data".
Actually, to be a bit more complete, my "data" backups consists of two parts: (1) 1st-of-the-month FULL backups of all my data, and (2) nightly INCREMENTAL backups which handles anything created/changed in the past 24 hours. Thus a "backup set" consists of the beginning FULL backup coupled with the ever-growing throughout-the-month set of nightly INCREMENTAL backups.
NovaBACKUP can handle all of this if you need to recover something, so you yourself don't need to know exactly which backup file your file is located on. You simply identify the folder/file(s) you wish to recover, and the AS-OF date you want for that file (with "as of the latest version available" being the default). If you want to recover an older version than the most current version, you simply slide a GUI time-slider backwards until you arrive at the as-of date you desire. NovaBACKUP then figures out where the most current version is AS OF THE DESIRED DATE, and accesses that one-or-more backup files in order to complete your task.
I retain multiple "backup sets" (going back 4 complete months), so I can recover any folder/file(s) I had available on any specific night during the past 4 months. Most commonly of course it's typically "get me the most current version available as of last night", but just in case that version is corrupt or I truly want an earlier version, I can get it easily.

I would like to create a plugin for adobe acrobat pro 9.0 in order to compare pages, delete the same pages and mark pages from first compared document with new and mark pages from second compared document with original. I downloaded the SDK for adobe 9.0 but now I am not sure how to continue? Do I need Visual Studio or can I use another program that is a freeware? What other program do you recommend? How can I open an .api file in order to see the code? Do I need to place the SDK files in a specific place?

1. You will need Visual Studio. Getting your first plug-in to compile can be an ordeal, be sure to use a sample project and work with it exactly.
2. API files are the work of other programmers. You cannot look inside, and to try to do so is a breach of most software licenses.
3. API files are installed to the Acrobat plug-ins folder.
4. You will not find samples or code to copy/paste. You should be an experienced C/C++ programmer, you should be familiar with the basics of the PDF file format ISO 32000-1, and you should be prepared to read thousands of pages of documentation.

Save As dialog hangup (Plug-in for Firefox)

Hi folks,
I'm running Firefox 5.0, equipped with the Adobe Acrobat (Reader?) 10.1.0.534 Plug-In for Firefox, on several fully patched XP Pro systems. On a regular basis I view publicly accessible/non-DRMd PDFs via the Plug-in and save a copy by mousing to the bottom of the viewport to activate the autohide toolbar thingy and clicking on "Save a copy". Doing so causes a Save As dialog to pop up. Very frequently, an attempt to use that Save As dialog... immediately clicking Save to save to the default directory or clicking the Desktop icon to change to a different directory... will cause that Save As dialog to indefinetely hang. In order to clear this condition I have to kill the AcroRd32.exe process, and sometimes also the plugin-container.exe and firefox.exe processes as well. The problem is intermittent in the sense that it sometimes happens and sometimes doesn't happen, even for the same exact PDF file. This is something I've coped with for a very long time, under different versions of Firefox, on old as well as newly created XP Pro installs, before and after purging/reinstalling Firefox and Adobe software, different versions of the Plug-in, etc.
Is this a known problem? Has anyone else experienced this type of problem and found a way to prevent it from happening? Thanks in advance.

Acrobat is now at 11.0.3. Fixes for earlier versions come later.

Payment engine - Plug-In for own file format

Hi,
I developed a plug-in for the payment engine (2004C for Poland) which generally can be debugged/compared/deployed successfully.
But: Depending on choosing certain company databases, it's posible/not possible to run the project of the add-on from the debugging environment. If I choose one of the "incorrect" databases, starting the debugger using Visual Studio .NET 2003 succeeds, but I am getting two popup windows within the B1-GUI and one popup outside of B1:
1. window within B1: "Check database". To my mind, this popup is generated by the payment engine.
2.window within B1: "The database has been upgraded to a more recent version of the SAP Add-on, please upgrade the SAP Add-On on this computer to version 6.70.2.0"
At this time within Visual Studio, I can notice two exceptions thrown by a corresponding thread: First-chance exception at 0x7c812a5b in SBOAddOn.exe: Microsoft C++ exception: MalformedURLException @ 0x0112b6b4.

3. window outside of B1: "SAP Add-On terminated due to required software update"
This means to me: The process of debugging starts as usual (successful). Thereby, the payment engine is started (successful). After that, it seems to me that the payment-engine is either comparing different library version of certain dll's / AddOn.exe as stated in SAP notice 1156374 or comparing information stored in the database table of the company and - due to the result -terminates. This behaviour seems depend on the selected company-database.
Did anyone notice a similar behaviour of payment-engine plug-ins? Is it possible to change data (within the company database or somewhere else) in order to be able to debug the affected company databases again?

Symptom
When you start an SAP addon, sometimes it will show an error message like this, "The Database was upgraded to a newer Version of the SAP Add-on; please perform an upgrade of the SAP Addons to Version X.XX.XX.XX on this
client also."
Cause and Prerequisites
Usually, an addon is comprised of two parts, addon exe with relevant dlls installed in addon folder and a BFAddonFramework.dll in windows' system32
folder which will provide common functionality for addons to connect with SBO and some other utilities like db operation, form operation etc.
As we will release a new addon patch only when there are bug fixes in this period, not all addons have relevant patch comforming to the patch No.
Some addons will do version check before starting up successfully, and this check will compare the version difference between addon and framework dll.
If they do not match, such a warning message will display. This is a friendly notification warning you that issue may occur when the versions do not match, but normally they can work properly with each other.
If we have framework changed a bit which will cause the incompatibility between addons and framework, we will release addons with relevant framework version. That is in our concern.
Solution
Normally, the error message will not affect the addon's behavior. You should just ignore it.

There are commercial plugins from DTP Tools and Markzware that will allow you to open a PDF and convert to .indd directly, but that's the only way to edit a PDF inside ID, and there may be some loss in translation.
You can export the images and the text from the PDF using Acrobat pro, then plalce the PDF into ID as a template on which to rebuild, or you can try to obtain the original files used to create the PDF. As a format, PDF is inteneded to be the final output, not subject to further editing.

Third Party Plug-in for Multiple Swatch Palettes in InDesign

Does anyone know if there is a third-party plug in to have multiple swatch palettes in InDesign? I would like to create different palettes for different sections of the long document --- scrolling through all of the swatches each time is cumbersome.

Here's a little trick that may not even require a third party plugin
On the Master Page
Create a bunch of rectangles, colour them with all the swatch colours you need, make as many pallettes as you like.
Then group them together
Create a text frame
Insert the group as anchored objects
Alignment make it away from spine (so it's always way out to the right or left)
Then Move the text frame over so that it encroaches on the page.
duplicate the frame and put it on the other side too.
Now all your pages have palletes of colour beside them. And you can use the Eye Dropper to sample the colours.

I have repeatibly loaded Adobe Acrobat Reader but the Plugin Check gives me Adobe Acrobat Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.0.1 Outdated Version Update. While the plug in check is important it is quite bothersome at present. Please help.

EVERY TIME the browser boots it kicks off the plug in check. I understand that this is important but it is currently a pain. Once I update Adobe Acrobat Plug in the browser does not recognize that the plug in has been installed and keeps coming up and up an up an up.
This is the message I get.

I create a plug-in for Adobe Reader, but after 5 seconds by Adobe Reader loaded my plug-in, the Adobe Reader will prompt "Invalid plugin detected. Adobe Reader will quit", and then the Adobe Reader will be disabled.

I am doing a video for a non profit, so there is no money. I love the concept of the artist drawing pics on a dry erase board in fast motion. Is there a plug in for CC that shows a hand holding a pen and can draw pics. I want to have the hand drawing pics timed with a VO.

I do similar for Titles in Videos, from time to time.
In Ps, I create the "drawn" Title, then use a Layer Mask to first hide ALL of the Text. I then slowly erase/paint-out parts of that Layer Mask, to reveal parts of the letters, as they might be drawn. I do a Layer Comp for each change in my Layer Mask. When complete, I will have many, many Layer Comps, and I number them sequentiall, say 00001, through 09999.
At that point, I Import those Layer Comp's (as PSD's), into Adobe Premiere Pro, to animate them, and later output as an AV file, or perhaps DVD-Video. If you have CS3-Extended, through CS5.5-Extended, or Ps CS6, or Ps CC, you can do the animation on a Video Timeline.

How to disable Next Generation Java Plug-in for GPO software deployments?

Is there a way to disable the Next Generation Java Plug-in using a script or batch file for GPO software deployments?
Our group needs to deploy JRE 6 Update 20 to a large number of Oracle Financials users. As part of this deployment, we need to disable the Next Generation Java Plug-in as part of the installation for each desktop. Our plan is to extract the MSI installer package from Sun and create a GPO for software deployment.
It seems you cannot disable the Next Generation Java Plug-in using a simple registry hack or customized MST transform file. Is there another method for disabling Next Generation Java Plug-in?

Thanks very much for your suggestion. Can you explain what the parameters are on the ssvagent.exe that you noted -high -jpisetup -old? I can't seem to find any information on the parameters. Also, will this set the configuration just for the user logged on (current user) OR for all users existing and future?
We are having trouble getting next-gen java shut off for all possible users that may logon to a machine in future .. thus looking at putting in bootup login script, but hoping there is a better way to have it take affect at the machine level. Or to at least automate at the user level (existing and future windows users/profiles)
