Creating private ibooks for internal distribution - SLA

Hi, if we wanted to create ibooks for distribution to internal employees, can we distribute them for free as iBook files outside of the iBook Store? They would contain proprietary information and can not be made available for download to the public.
I can't find anything in the SLA that specifically addresses this question, can you help?

The iBooks Author Agreement (from the iBA about menu) makes it clear - your content is yours to distribute as you see fit, including from your server to anyone with access, etc.
B. Distribution of Works Generated Using the iBooks Author Software. As a condition of this License and provided you are in compliance with its terms, works generated using iBooks Author may be distributed as follows:
if the work is provided for free (at no charge), you may distribute it by any means;

Remember, your users won't be looking at any 'preview'. Don't count on it being the final arbiter of what they'll download.

I would like to create Windows App and distribute this app internally.
I only found this information on Adobe's website:

Microsoft has two requirements for enterprise deployment of Windows Store apps:
The app's device must be joined to a domain.
The certificate used to sign the .appx must be in the trusted list of certificates on the device.
The .appxbundle file provided by DPS App Builder is signed for submission to Windows Store. For enterprise deployment, you might need to re-sign the .appxbundle and its contents with your own enterprise certificate. Contact your Adobe representative for more information. For distribution of the app file, use any supported Microsoft method. You can even use a simple command-line method.
Where can I find further informations? Is there a companion guide for windows out there?

Microsoft’s guide for enterprise distribution of Windows Store apps is at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh852635.aspx. There's nothing special about DPS apps that makes them different from a distribution standpoint than any other Windows Store app, and the Microsoft guide is the go-to reference for how to do enterprise deployment of Store apps.
Note that the DPS apps downloaded from App Builder are self-signed with an untrusted certificate. Most enterprises will likely have their own corporate certificate they’d prefer to use instead. To re-sign the DPS app:
Unpack the bundle using makeappx
makeappx.exe unbundle /p viewerpackage.appxbundle /d unpacked_directory
makeappx.exe bundle /d unpacked_directory /p resigned_viewer_package.appxbundle
signtool.exe sign /fd sha256 /f enterprisekey.pfx resigned_viewer_package.appxbundle
Go into unpacked_directory
Sign both .appx files using signtool

PAL or NTSC for international distribution?

Hi everybody, we have a 5 hrs film shot and edited in Premiere Pro CS6 in HD pal, 50fps, 16:9 intended for international distribution on 2 double layer DVDs. How should we best author it to guarantee worldwide compatibility and best possible quality? PAL or NTSC? There is no budget to press both, PAL and NTSC DVDs. Thanks for your help!!!

NTSC every time.
All PAL players these days will happily output NTSC content either as true NTSC (by running an on-the-fly standards conversion in the video decoder chips) or else as PAL-60.
Very few NTSC players will output PAL in any form.
Your biggest problem will be standards converting your 50i footage into 29.97.
EDIT.
Here's a great tip for you.
Do not ever shoot at 25 fps in any shape, way or form if you need international release. Use 24p instead - and when the time comes to burn a DVD all you need to do is scale it down & render to DV 24p widescreen from Adobe Media Encoder. All will be fine, and you can use fully progressive images all the way through.
Pros:
24p footage is universal, 25p is not spec compliant, must be interlaced & will only work in PAL regions.
24p will play - in an upscaling player (such as a modern Universal, or a good BluRay player) at the encoded rate (Hollywood have been pulling this trick for years now) and in a non-upscaling player it will automatically pull to 29.97 with no intervention needed from the user.
Cons.
None that immediately come to mind - although of course 24p footage has it's own issues but these are outweighed by not having to standards convert.
Why this is needed.
Because although most US discs will play in PAL players, either as pure NTSC or PAL-60, the reverse is not true and even when you can find a US player that will handle a 25i stream, you will run into difficulties with the display because the mains is at the wrong frequency (60Hz instead of 50Hz) and the image will be garbled, black & white or missing altogether. A study by Sony showed that perhaps 1/20 players can output PAL frame rates properly in NTSC regions.

I checked in KO02 and KO03. Please find the below screen shot for your ref. The same issue occurs ie. 'create business workspace' is hidden.
I checked the authorization for my id, I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles so there is no issue in authorization.

I'm not sure iBA reacts well to this type of editing, not to mention the cumbersome nature of trying to bring everything together in general.
I'd suggest a workflow where one book is handed off, instead. That, or, let the individuals involved create their basic content in Pages, then when ready, use iBA's Insert Pages Chapters menu to string them together. Best to work in a linear fashion and avoid adding/removing/adding/moving portions, etc.
If you must have separate authors, be sure to use the identical template and have them all properly trained up before going forward - trying this as a learning experience may result in an off-putting experience otherwise , with more time spent on chasing knots than on expressing writing skills, etc.

Microsoft has recommended that beginners/non-professionals start using WebMatrix as a web editor. You could look at samples based on that with Razor or instead use Visual Studio as an editor. Here are some free training videos from PluralSight to get you

How to create Support function for internal Class use

I have created a class to find the MoonRise and Set time. There is a java code available and I am translating it to Obj-C.
My problem is that for the calculation there are many support functions which is internally used. When I try to duplicate this as follows

Well, Objective-C is a superset of C. If you're porting Java, you'll find protocols (ObjC) similar to interfaces (Java).

Report for internal order - year/period comparison

I want to create a report for internal orders with year/period (from/to) comparison.
For the present year/period i'm using CCA variables 1YRPERF (Fiscal Year/Period From) and 1YRPERT (Fiscal Year/Period To), created from field FISCPER, table RWCOOM.
Now i want to creat a column fot the n-1 period (example: if selected current period as 009.2013 to 008.2014 the n-1 period will be 009.2012 to 008.2013), any suggestion what can I do about this?

This is for higher education institution that have to report by fiscal year (01-12 months) and by academic year (09.year1 to 08.year2). I have two maps to do this but the challenge is to have a unique map that by dates could retreive both information.
I need a to have a column giving the total for example the Per/Yr 009.2012 to 008.2013 and other column with the Per/Yr -1.
I've tried your first option but doesen't work at all because don't work with a period like 009.2013 to 008.2014. Then i made some adjustments: first column was setted to Yr (variable: 6-GJAHV to 6-GJAHB) and Per (variables: 1NPERIV to 1NPERIB). The second column was setted with Yr (variable: 6-GJAH2 to 6-GJAH2) and Per (variables: 1NPERIV to 1NPERIB). Seems to work with a few tests!
Also i tried to creat new variables "1YRPERF" / "1YRPERT" to n-1, but had some problems with formula.
1YRPERF have a formula: '#S012-999' and 1YRPERT formula is: '#S012'.
To 1YRPERF-1 i've defined the formula '1YRPERF' -1, and for the Per to the formula '1YRPERT' -1, but seems to consider minus 1 period that the entry period. I've tried with -12 but didn't work too.

we need the ability to create a requisition for internal demand against a cost centre. For example, there is a material that we have to manufacture for an exhibition. How can we create an internal demand, that causes a production order to be raised and cost/ material to be allocated against the requesting cost centre?

The option is dimmed, although the user used has the SAP_ALL profile.

click file/publish settings/flash/actionscript settings and make sure frame 1 is set as the export frame.
if that's already set, don't use test scene.

I am a teacher, and I have a class set of Ipads #2 (not siri). I want the students to create books in ibooks, and I want them to publish them to ibooks.
I want the students to be able to read each others' books on their own devices and at home or in the classroom.
I do not want the general public to be able to access the books.
How can I create a "private library" in ibooks for my students?

It is true that the .NET platform is doing away with DLLs and actually, it's doing away with tradition ActiveX also. It will be based on objects called Assemblies.
If you have an actual ActiveX component, you can call this from both LabVIEW 6.1 and VB6. However, if the object that you have built was built in the .NET environment, then it is an Assembly object. And, since this technology was released after both VB6 and LabVIEW 6.1, neither platforms support .NET controls yet. VB6 will most likely never support Assemblies, although I assume LabVIEW will as future versions are released.

Does the eBooks created by iBooks Author support for iphone now?

I have been read some blogs discussing that the iPhone could gain new support for ebooks made by iBooks Author. And now, I wanna know whether the prediction is true or not. I can' t find any annoucement from Apple to confirm this point. Does anyone answer my confusion.

With the current software ..books created using iBooks Author cannot be viewed on iPhones.
iBooks Author creates books that can only...be used with iPads and on Macs with Mavericks installed, by using iBooks.
Thats it...no rumours. Blogs or to be more accurate...some of those who contribute to them seem to either be totally stupid, or like to make themselves look as if they have inside knowledge.
Apple created iBooks Author to allow self publishers create and publish books to the store. But not just novels or text only type books. iBA made these books allow audio / video ..and much much more than any novel. That being so....most interactive multi media books will not really display well on a screen the size if the iPhone.
Apple are more concerned in getting iPads in use more by business and education at all levels.
The only rumour that may well become fact is a larger sized screen for a bigger iPad mid to late 2014.
