Creating regional security in an exsiting system

Hi - Oracle Human resources was implemented some time ago in the company I have just joined. We are on 11i and they need to create some security around regions.
Regions that are not necessarily defines as Organizations.
They do not use position hierarchies.
Any suggestions?
what about restricting information on Location using Custom Form? There is so little in the documentation I dont know where to go next!
Any input would be appreciated.

I think what you need to do is create an identity sequence with RSA as the selection in
Authentication and Attribute Retrieval Search List and AD in Additional Attribute Retrieval Search List. Then select this sequence as the result in the identity policy for the service

2) Security Administrator
Can Create Roles (PFCG),Authorisation objects,Assign the roles to users...etc transport newly created roles..etc

Here are the steps ...
A role is a collection of entities (such as the User Menu and a Profile) that gets allocated to a user to provide them with the necessary authorisation to do their job. Formerly referred to as an Activity Group .
Using transaction PFCG
1. Give the Role name or Activity Group name (both Role or Activity Group same in below 4.6B version it is called as Activity Group now it is called as Role).
2. Then click on Create button
Give description and Click on Save
3. Then click on Menu tab
There you will fine button like Transaction, Reports and Web address
a. Click on Transaction Button.
After clicking on transaction button you will find screen
Put all transactions you want to assign then click on button Assign Transaction
say for example transactions SU01 and PFCG to the Administrator.
b.Then click on the Authorisation tab
Give profile name related to your role name and description
c.Click on the Change authorization data button
Here you need to maintain authorizations.
Open each Object Class (means at the end you can find names like BC_A, BC_Z these are Object class)
For example when you open Object Class BC_A
you will find Authorisation Object (i.e. S_USER_AGR, )
When you open each Authorisation Object you will find Field Names and Activities
Each object have their own fields here two field names are there (Activity & Activity Group Name)
Click on the Pencil button and Maintain Activities
After maintaining all activities
There is Generate button on Application tool bar click to generate profiles
Then Press back button
There is another tab USER click on that and enter user ids
then click on User Compare button
Until the User compare button comes green user never get access for those transactions assigned.

I am trying to create a Content Management System using APEX 4.
I was wondering if it is possible to create regions on the fly using APEX API.
The regions will act as modules having custom attributes to load its related region template.

What how when you manually create a request for that resource from the UI by selecting/providing same values as you are doing in task, does that generate approvals correctly? When the request is created via your schedule task, if it does not generate approval, then is the resource provisioned to the user? what's the status of the request?

Is it necessary to create a secure zone for a shop?

I am trying to configure my checkout process, and I was wondering if I had to create a secure zone in order for it to work. I have been looking for the steps that I need to take in order to get it all to work, but I have not found anything.
I am also currently getting this message when trying to enter payment details. Isnt this form from business catalyst?
ERROR: You have deleted your web form. Please login to the Admin panel of your website and remove the previously submitted form from the web page you last visited. You will need to recreate this web form by going to Modules -> Webforms. After recreating simply insert this new web form into the web page and your web form should work properly.

That is the secure url of your site the last one.
The WebFormID of 10850 refers to the web form under web forms for the registration buy form. You have delete it from the system so the system has not actual form. So the form you have in the Registraion buy layout has no system reference. You need to re-create the form and add that back into the registration buy layout. If your shopping cart buy form is still there you need to note the form ID in the url when your in it and update that web form action with the right ID.
In terms of securezone if you want returning customers and login then you do need it. If not then click the form properties button when in the form and unctick "Assing to securezone" option.

Can I use the Airport Express to log onto an unsecured hotel wireless network, without an ethernet cable, to create a secure wireless network for my MacbookAir, IPad, IPhone, etc.? If so, how is that done?

The bottom line with a single AirPort Express is no.
The AirPort Express can only "extend" a wireless network when the network is being provided by another Apple router.
As you might imagine, it is extremely unlikely that that the hotel network....which no doubt uses professional wireless access points provided by a manufacturer of commercial systems.....would be compatible with an AirPort Express.
In many years of travel domestically and internationally, I cannot recall a time when a single AirPort Express would "extend" the signal provided by a hotel's wireless network.
However, if you had two AirPort Express devices handy, you might be able to configure one to "join" the hotel network and provide an Ethernet signal to the second AirPort Express, which would be configured to "create" your own "private" wireless network.

Hi,
I have given full control to usr folder and all the subfolder for my user.Also logical name sapmnt has been given full control and shared as well.But when i try to access sapmnt folder it says access is denied.
Moreover can you provide steps to change the server name.

It look two ways either you dont have permission to write any new thing to that domain.properties file or might file is got corrupted.

How do I create multiple live USBs of Operating systems to boot from on one flashdrive?
I am attempting to create multiple live USBs within one flashdrive so that i can boot various operating systems without having to buy multiple USb sticks. I am using a Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Operating System currently. I am using the Terminal provided by the OS.
I would like to try Debian, Kali, Precise Puppy, and Sabayon- with one space left empty for whatever Linux OS I would like to try next. I have partitioned an 8GB flashdrive into the following sections:
name of intended OS,     space allocated for it:
1)Debian ........................1.32 GB
2)Kali..............................2.61GB
3)Precise Puppy..............163.7MB
4)Sabayon.......................1.77GB
5)TBD..............................2.14GB
I have figured out how to change the .iso files of the operating systems into .img files with the following commands:
hdiutil convert -format UDRW /path/to/input.iso -o /path/to/output.img
a .img.dmg file is created, this is corrected in the next line of code *please note: I am a a very beginner at programming, and would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Firefox will not let me get on any websites (safe AND not safe), claiming that it "may pose a security threat to your system"; when I try to choose the "proceed unprotected" option, it won't let me.

My computer's anti-virus software recently expired. A few days later, I went to download a new anti-virus software . . . when I opened up Firefox, I received a warning that claimed Firefox was infected with "Trojan-BNK.Win32.Keylogger.gen", and gave me two options: "Activate XP Security 2011 (recommended)" (this was a $60 charge and required credit card info) or "Continue unprotected (Dangerous)"
Since I needed to install new anti-virus, I figured I would continue unprotected, download my new software quickly, and remove the virus. But when Firefox opened, it gave me a message saying: "Firefox alert. Visiting this site may pose a security threat to your system!". Gave me three options:
1. "Get a copy of 'XP Security 2011' to safeguard your PC while surfing the web (RECOMMENDED)"
2. "Run a spyware, virus and malware scan" (I already did this)
3. "Continue surfing without any security measures (DANGEROUS)"
I tried clicking on different links, but the same warning kept showing up, even on verified and safe sites. I tried to choose the third option so that I could download my anti-virus software quickly, but nothing happened when I clicked on it - the page reloads and the warning shows up again.
My computer is still without anti-virus software because Firefox will not let me surf the internet. Please help!

It sounds as though your PC is infected with fake antivirus software. The detailed cleanup instructions vary depending on which fake AV you have. However, as a first step, try this:
Download the following on a different PC, copy them to a USB flash drive or CD, and then run them on the infected PC:
Malwarebytes Anti-malware : http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
SUPERAntiSpyware : http://www.superantispyware.com/
Hopefully these will get you back online safely. If not, search for clean-up instructions for the specific malware.

Is there a way I can permanently disable the security lock thing in System Preferences?

Aside from logging and using the root account on a daily basis, is there a way to permanently be rid of the security lock thing in System Preferences?
Yosemite has a bug (?) where if an Admin account has its password set to blank (empty), you can't remove the security lock...
You can click it, it'll ask for Username and Password (Why?), and when you click on 'Unlock', it unlocks for a brief moment and instantly locks itself again...
This is beyond infuriating. Do advise.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. However I'm quite aware that the sleep/wake button disables the screen. Unfortunately, mea maxima culpa, I sometimes accidentally hit shuttle before I've pressed the sleep/wake button, often when I am trying to do more than one thing at once. Sometimes I accidentally hit shuffle at other times too,eg when waking up the phone.
This is especially exasperating when listening to classical pieces with multiple movements. I will look for an alternative music player for the iphone, as I don't think the default music application and I are a good match.
