Creating reservation

Dear Gurus,
at the time of creating reservation in MB21 with reference to BOM,it is asking for GL account.
On booking this in Consumption of Raw material Account , it is showing error as " No direct posting to G/L account."
pls help.

First of all check whether the G/L account enterd is right one.
If it is right then go to FS00...enter the g/l account & company code....select the change icon....go to Create/Bank/interest tab...here check whether Post automatically only is checked or not

Dear Experts,
The reservation is accepting for movement type 311 which is also the material transfer from one storage location to other, but with one step. Is there similar activity we would like to do in two steps through movement type 313.

Please check mvt 311 and 313 using SE16 + T156. It depends on T156-RSTYP whether the mvt can be used for reservatio or not:
SAP F1 help for T156-RSTYP:
If the indicator has not been set, the movement type cannot be used to generate a reservation

Change VA21 Screen Title from "Create Quotation" to "Create Reservation"

Hi Experts,
We are trying to change/edit the selection screen title of Transaction VA21 from "Create Quotation" to "Create Reservation".
The screen doesn't display the expected output when we changed the transaction title in SE93.
Please guide us on what to do.

You need to change the TITLE which is used for that screen.
Go to SE41.
Put the program name SAPMV45B.
Select the "Title List"
Here You can see the A21, A22, A23 for the Quotation.
You need to change them to Reservation.
You will need the Access key to change this.

Error in creating reservation using 'BAPI_RESERVATION_CREATE'

Hi All,
I am using bapi 'BAPI_RESERVATION_CREATE' for creating reservation.But bapi is returning following message.
Cost center XXXX does not exist on 12.01.2009.
What can be the reason for this error ?

Creating Reservations from scanner

We have requirement is to create Reservations items automatically through scanner like, user will use the scanners and this should create reservations in SAP automatically in background
Is that possible in SAP?

Using GuiXT, we have achieved the solution you are looking for. The only ROI to check would be if GuiXT can be used for other processes also. If yes, then it's a very small price to pay for gaining recurring benefits. Basically, this is what was done:
1. The standard SAP screen for Requisition was modified using GuiXT to hide unwanted fields and have elements relevant to the process
2. A DLL (C++) was written to read and convert the data spit by Barcode scanner, through its driver software API
3. The barcode scan was made the start-point (trigger) to the overall GuiXT process...Scan->Data Read->Automatic Requisition Creation.
The customer had partial-automation initially to gain more trust, before going ahead and implementing complete automation, just like what you're looking at. Hope this would help.
You can try this out using a trial license of GuiXT. Let me know how it works out.

Can any one help me out from creating reservation with alternate item only Sngle item of Group. ,when we r defining the Alternate item in BOM according to group and afterwords i m creating reservation from (MB21 with reference to BOM)that particular BOM .then out put is taking all item of group. but we want only single Item of particular group and create the reservation.

Automatic created reservation closing reg

Dear All..
Im using Ecc 4.6 I want to close open reservations. here i can able to close manual created reservations.but im not able to close Automatic created reservations at the time of PM order creation and MRP generated reservations i c'ont able to close..
Even i Have tried in MBVR its showing message as "No Document Exists Message number is M7842.
Please Resolve this..

Hi,
If you have the material document for the reservation,Please go to MIGO ,then Select Cancellation and Material document,then try to do the cancellation.Auto reservations created for production order will have to be removed from order assignment.

Hi,
You can create Reservation by using T.code MB21.
You have to enter plant, Movement type for reservation.
With this component, you make a request to the warehouse to keep materials ready for withdrawal at a later date and for a certain purpose. This simplifies and accelerates the goods receipt process.
A reservation for goods issue can be requested by various departments for various account assignment objects (such as cost center, order, asset, etc.)

Account assignment while creating reservation using bapi

Hi , I am creating reservation using BAPI (BAPI_RESERVATION_CREATE1), but when I seeing the open reservation account assignment field is blank, could any on ehelp me on this, i.e what parameter I am missing in BAPI for account assignment.

there is not field to assign the account assignment in Bapi..
you need to assignt he account manaually.
Assign account assignment category.
    SELECT * FROM eban INTO TABLE lt_eban WHERE banfn = w_banfn .
    IF sy-subrc = 0.
      LOOP AT lt_eban .
        lt_eban-knttp = 'J'.    "assign your own account categeory
        MODIFY eban FROM lt_eban.

Error in creating reservation number

Hi all,
Iam trying to create reservation number using MB21, but its giveing the error as "Clearing CoCode 112 differs from CoCode 168 of plant 1681."
what is thsi error , how to solve the problem,
I entered mpvement type as 221..
pls anybody help me , iam into technical side , iam trying to create a servation number..

Cannot create reservation for a closed sales order

Hi,
IN the mtl_resrevation_interface errors iam getting the message as Cannot create reservation for a closed sales order for most of the items .
when i check the details of the sales order line it is already closed.
but why it is trying to insert the line in mtl_reservation though it is already closed.
i want to know what would be the reason.

You may have a custom program that creates the records in the reservations interface table.
That program may have a bug.

Hi,
Budget functionality is available against actual / commitment items, but n't against reservation of materials as there cane be reservation at projects or plant level. Morever there is no such user exit in CJ20N.
If you can make developments of reservation agsinst network as committments items then budget functionality may work in that case.

Automatically created reservation as "reserv" on MD04 screen. How?

Hi Experts,
can you advise please, i have a number of automatically created reservations, shown on MD04 as Reserv. line and the same line as Transf.
Based on that reservation, there is purchase requisition created.
I'm trying to find how these reservations were created, and i'm not able to find production order, sales order and actually nothing.
MB51 shows just 101 and 201 movements.
Please help.

first of all thanks a lot for your answers.
However, the question is how these reservations were created, and based on what.
I'm not able to see any demand in the system (production order, sales order, anything).
And i'm not able to get how these reservations were created.
Normally, there would be purch. req. or planned order generated in case of good is missing at plant level, else, there would be nothing generated.
Please advise.
