Unfortunately I cannot manage it...
Want to create 500 simultaneous connections to public (APP_PAGE_ID=10, APP_ID=100)...any user is OK (APEX_PUBLIC_USER)...I just want to see some Oracle behavior on 500 connections (memory, i/o...etc)

STRESS_TESTAt this point, this SQL*Plus session is now "emulating" an APEX application session. But all this represents is really a row in the APEX sessions table, you can create hundreds of these rows, I don't think that is going to put any stress on the Oracle database in terms of resource usage.
If you are looking to stress test your web application, there are entire frameworks out there designed to do just this.

Sys.XMLType.createxml unable to insert through sqlplus
I am trying to insert xmltype (sys.XMLType.createxml()) data through sqlplus in oracle.
i am getting error as literal string too long.
setting long as 1000000
i am able to read and display the contents.
But still NOT able to INSERT. The data is around 47784 charaters.
any clues or any useful links.

ORA-01704: string literal too longActually the limit is approx 32K bytes for a SQL*PLUS literal...
If your XML is schema based 9iR2 allows you to upload the XML direct to the database and store in tables you define using FTP or WebDAV.
If the content is not schema based and you can ftp the file to the local file system of the machine running the server you can do something like this using the bfile mechanism.
Note this is a 9iR2 example, that takes care of converting the character set of the file into the character set of the database...

JMStudio Error "Can not create session manager"
Hi,
I'm trying to transmit an mpg file through a simple pc to pc network, using the transmission wizard in the JMStudio, and everytime it causes a "can not create session manager" error, even when I try to transmit .mp3 file
I'm using an ip like 100.100.0.1 for the sender machine, and 100.100.0.2 for the receiver machine, and I don't know where is the problem

Make sure that you are not using JMStudio to transmit streams while trying to receive streams from the same port. -
Not Able to Create Vendor Through PRAA
Hi All,
I am not able to convert employee into vendor through PRAA program. It seems the background program is not running. So it would be great if any one can tell me exactly step by step how to run this program and how to check its result. Also pls share whats the best practise of running this program in production.

Thank you for a prompt response.
The vendors are already created. Therefore, i am executing PRAA in update mode instead of Initial setup mode. The process that i follow is as follows.
First RPRAPA00 creates only the workfile.(as a background job) When this is finished, RFBIKR00 (also as background job) takes this file and creates the batch input session out of it and this is finished, the last report comes to process the created session. The same user starts both jobs.
When i explicitly update a vendor through PRAA it is updated successfully. Changes are reflected in XK02 / XK03. But when done via a batch job changes are not reflected despite no errors in job and sessions.
Please your inputs on this.

It's the report to run the batchinput sessions.
When you create to B.I. session, you can execute it by transaction SM35 (but it uses rsbdcsub) or rsbdcsub.
For example you can use it in the same program where you create B.I.:
Here the code to fill the structures of FI batch input

Small Concept Buildup in regard to different Sessions of sqlplus..

I am using Oracle 10g over RHEL4..
I have opened two sessions of sqlplus through different Terminal windows.. Now the issue that I am facing is listed below..
I made one sql file which contains some select query under one Terminal prompt.. Now i tried executing the same file from Other terminal prompt in sqlplus hr/hr,, it doesn't reflects the data instead when i did sqlplus hr/hr again(after exiting, then logging),, then it retrieved the actual data that i saved in the sql file under first Terminal prompt..
This happens everytime, i.e. every time I made some changes in the file under first Terminal prompt, and tried executing the one in other Terminal Prompt, then it reflects the previous data onlyy.. After i exit the session, and logged in again as hr/hr, then it reflects the actual data..
Please share the logic behind this..

From the standpoint of the database in any other than the current session: Nothing is changed until you commit the transaction. -
Record multiple, simultaneous sessions through one webinar meeting room
Is there a way to record multiple, simultaneous sessions through one webinar meeting room? I know breakout rooms can't be recorded, but is there another way to have users join a main webinar room, select a sub-room/session they're interested in, and then join that sub-session? We want to have four sessions happening at once and allow users to choose which they want to participate in. We'd also like to record the sessions. Thanks for any help you can provide.
Use PPT, or a tool of your choice, to create a slide/object with links to each room. Then the user can click between the rooms as desired.
You may want to use the ?launcher=false command at the end of the URLs to keep the individuals from having the add-in launched multiple times and in multiple rooms at the same time. This will keep the meetings in the individual's browser. -
Solution Manager EWA - cannot create session in satellite system
"Hi,
I want to configure EWA self service using Solman 4.0. I succesfully did the following :
a. Maintained SMSY and create the required trusted RFC connections from SM to satellite system. All connection and authorization passed in SM59. I used SAP_ALL/SDCCN_ALL role and assigned objects S_RFC*.
b. Assigned the system to a logical system.
c. Created the a new solution and activate "Solutions Monitoring > Earlywatch Alert"
d. Activated and maintained required RFC in SDCCN in satallite system.
My problem is that the create EWA alert request (Red Flag with a specific session number ) coulnd be pass to the satelitte system even though all the trusted RFC and authorization is set. When i execute the SESSION_REFRESH in the satellite system, the session is not created.
Did I miss out any steps. Can any one share any help ?
FYI, there is no connection to SAPOSS yet, so i did not manage to run RTCCTOOL completed, but i doubt this is required for EWA self service."

Have you tried the following option :
Execute SMSY and from the Server entry Execute the "Read System Data Remote" option in change mode.
Save the data captured and then try using Refresh Session Task from SDCCN of the satellite system. Do select the RFC for Solution Manager while performing this task.

Error while creating asset through AS91

When i am trying to create asset through AS91 for a new company i am getting error AY 252 " Current fiscal year 2007 has to be after transfer daet 31.12.2007. In this company the Asset accounting has been recently customised but when i am trying for the upload of asset master data i am getting the above given error.
Please tell what should be done to remove this error.

Systemd 216: pam_systemd: Failed to create session: Connection timeout
It appears my systemd (v216 as of today) user session configuration has gone bad, and no longer works.
I reboot after the most recent set of updates, and my user session (backed by [email protected] and was relying on loginctl enable-linger's to spin up user instance services) has a long delay, from 5-30+ seconds, and then fails and cleans up the session.

This has happened consistently after every boot I have down. I attempted to re-update to make sure I am current. I double checked systemd user configuration on the wiki and I seem ok. It had close to year without an issue. Double-checked for pacdiff and a few files for different .pacnew files from packages, but none related to systemd or pam as far as I can see.
I also tried searching for others experiencing this exact error, and it appears to be a symptom of different root causes (wonderful). I found a recentish menion on BBS andand another in a bug, and I am not sure how any can relate to my situation.
I have also tried to get debug output for pam_systemd.so with these two variants in /etc/pam.d/system-login, after finding the man page and to no avail.

I reboot after the most recent set of updates, and my user session (backed by [email protected] and was relying on loginctl enable-linger's to spin up user instance services) has a long delay, from 5-30+ seconds, and then fails and cleans up the session.

This has happened consistently after every boot I have down. I attempted to re-update to make sure I am current. I double checked systemd user configuration on the wiki and I seem ok. It had close to year without an issue. Double-checked for pacdiff and a few files for different .pacnew files from packages, but none related to systemd or pam as far as I can see.
I also tried searching for others experiencing this exact error, and it appears to be a symptom of different root causes (wonderful). I found a recentish menion on BBS andand another in a bug, and I am not sure how any can relate to my situation.
I have also tried to get debug output for pam_systemd.so with these two variants in /etc/pam.d/system-login, after finding the man page and to no avail.

Hi, what's the impact of creating sites through configuration in Sap retail System?

Business requirement is to have a production plant created through config in retail system and then ship the finished product to DC using STO's and Dc will be created as master data in retail system. please share your experience on business impact on this integartion of production plant and site in Retail?

In SAP Retail system, the options for creating plant from configuration is disabled. Means in SPRO screen, the execute button is not there for these options. So you will not be able to create plant through configuration in SAP Retail system where the retail switch is activated.
All the Retail related features will not support that plants.
To the best of my knowledge, Site created in Retail system using WB01 transactions can be used for production cycle to implement manufacturing scenario. Using article to article stock transfer you can transfer the stock of Finished Goods articles to trading articles and so on.
Various processes are available for this.

Create session privillege has problem in 10g

I would need to create a user who only has access to select/update and delete records from the tables of a schema. For that , when I grant Connect/Create session privillege, the user is able to drop the table, alter the table by default.
Is it a bug that only providing create session privillege, user is able to drop the table and alter the table etc.
I am using Oracle 10g database.

I see that there are two roles for this user KFC_LOAN. One is ROLE_USER and other is DBA.
When I try to revoke DBA role,

I granted ROLE user as below statement.
grant role_user to kfc_loan (kfc_loan is user) I dont know which the role of this user. I am assuming its the same. -
Error when Create Session Bean in JDeveloper
Hi All,
I followed the steps in the SRDemo tutorial to create Session bean SRPublicFacade. I used Create Session Bean wizard. Step 1 was ok. Step 2 when it's supposed to show all the POJOs and all methods (from Queries) it hang there, and skipped to Step 3 and so on... As a result I had an empty Session Bean with only class name and no methods in it. I do have correct database connection, and I have another project with similar Session Bean sucessfully. I just don't know what happened to this project or the way I created session bean this time. Any conflict when create Session Bean to the same database or something(?) Anyone has any idea please let me know.

Yes, I compiled the project before building the session facade. I used JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0
The thing is I once created successfully the session facade in another project, like SRdemo. Now I would like to repeat that in another project say SRdemo2, then it went wrong. It skipped step 2 in the wizard and look like it cannot detect the tables and named queries.

Problem in creating IR through BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_create BAPI

Some problem in creating IR through the BAPI BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_create. I am able to see the IR number after executing the BAPI but unable to see the IR number in the table. The IR number is not getting updated in the database table even though we are doing the commit work after executing the BAPI. Could anyone help me out with this error.

RamFirst of all I am assuming that you did not get any error in the BAPI return structure (even though you see document number populated).
Secondly, I guess you tested the BAPI with SE37 and did not get any error (functionally there are a number of BAPIs available to post an invoice and it is important to figure out the correct BAPI - e.g. PO, non-PO invoice, invoice as a GL entry only, etc.).
If that is not true (there is some error in posting), since during the BAPI call the next document number is obtained as a first step, you will see the document number but subsequently if for some reason it is not posted, you will see the result as you mentioned (no data in the database).
If you are using correct BAPI and have no errors, then in ABAP program make sure to call 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT' after the BAPI call to post invoice.
For non-SAP external system, you need not have to call the commit BAPI but just closing the connection to SAP will help.
