Creating single edition CC app by use of WoodWing

Hi,
We are using WoodWing to create our folio's.
We want to publish a folio to a single edition app, using a creative cloud license.
How can we import the folio into the DPS builder app?
Thanks!

That is the only process for creating a Single Edition app with Creative
Cloud. If you have a pro or enterprise account you can export the folio to
zip and created the single edition app that way, I believe.

  • Can you self-distribute a single edition folio app?

    Currently I am using the Adobe Content viewer to distribute folio's for a couple of clients.  One client would like single edition folio apps created, but doesn't like the idea of them being in iTunes.  Is it possible to self-distribute (publish) a single edition folio app outside of iTunes?  Much the same way you can already create any type of iPad app and create an installable package without having to go through iTunes...
    Thanks for any assistance,
    Greg B

    The only way to do so is to create a developer version of the app but it
    will expire and will be limited to 100 UDIDs.
    In short, this isn't going to happen without enterprise level accounts
    with Apple and Adobe and is still subject to licensing restrictions set
    forth by Apple for app distribution.

  • How to create and edit a .ini file using java

    Hi All...
    Pls help me in creating and editing an .ini file using java...
    thanks in advance
    Regards,
    sathya

    Let's assume the ini file is a mapping type storage (key=value) so lets use Properties object. (works with java 1.4 & up)
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.io.FileOutputStream;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.util.Properties;
    public class Test {
         private static Properties props;
         public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
              File file = new File("test.ini");//This is out ini file
              props = new Properties();//Create the properties object
              read(file);//Read the ini file
              //Once we've populated the Properties object. set/add a property using the setProperty() method.
              props.setProperty("testing", "value");
              write(file);//Write to ini file
         public static void read(File file) throws IOException {
              FileInputStream fis = new FileInputStream(file);//Create a FileInputStream
              props.load(fis);//load the ini to the Properties file
              fis.close();//close
         public static void write(File file) throws IOException {
              FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(file);//Create a FileOutputStream
              props.store(fos, "");//write the Properties object values to our ini file
              fos.close();//close
    }

  • Will newly created single edition apps run on ipad 1?

    Hello,
    I am creating a single edition app for the iPad. WIll it run on an iPad 1 (without iOS8 installed) all the way through to the Air?
    Or are any apps now created just compatible with the new OS?
    Thanks!

    DPS apps you create at this time support iOS 6 through iOS 8. The iPad 1 can't upgrade from iOS 5 to iOS 6, so DPS apps don't work on those old devices. But the iPad 2 and later can run iOS 6 (and later).
    As a rule of thumb, DPS apps support at least the two most recent iOS versions.

  • Single Edition for a client using my CC subscription

    Hey there!
    A customer has accepted a quote to make a Single Edition app.
    Can i use my CC subscription to create the application and then publish it using his (the client) iOS Developer Account?
    Or the client must subscribe a CC subscription?

    You can do it with your CC account and then submit it using their Apple Develoepr Account.

  • Can't update Single Edition DPS app

    Hi,
    I have created an app following this process:
    Created inDesign file. Added folio overlays.
    Added open document as Article in new Folio.
    From folio builder panel, clicked on Create App which then opened the DPS App Builder.
    Created the App in the DPS App Builder.
    Activated the app with a Single Use License.
    Now I need to update the app. I don't have the option to update the folio in the DPS App Builder. So I found this http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ppcompdoc/Step_by_step_guide_to_dps_se.pdf which says that I can create a new app and delete the other one, but:
    I can't delete the active app
    I can't activate a new app because the license is in use
    How can I update the app using the Single Use License that we purchased?
    Thanks
    Rafael

    You can use the serial number only once. If you need to update your app, contact Adobe technical support and ask them to reset the serial number.
    By the way, if you have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, you can use that account ID to update or build an unlimited number of single edition apps for the iPad. A Creative Cloud license is easier to use, more versatile, and more cost effective than purchasing a single license.

  • Single Edition DPS Apps Crashing in iOS 8?

    Hi Guys,
    I've just been told by some readers that as soon as they have updated to iOS 8, past apps I have released - single editions, not multi-folio for iPad - just crash. They either open and crash as soon as you scroll, or crash straight away.
    What is going on? Is this an update that needs to happen on Adobe's end and has yet to occur?
    Cheers
    Chris

    Hi Neil,
    I think I am having the same problem as the OP. This is the error I got:
    ----- 2.2 -----
    We found that your app exhibited one or more bugs, when reviewed on iPad running iOS 8, on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks, which is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.
    Content does not load. This occurs upon launch.
    If I just recreate the app with the "create app" in the folio builder will this correct the problem? Would I need to also change the provisioning profiles or anything or just a straight rebuild will fix this? Are their any updates I need to download first before I rebuild?
    If it makes any different it's a single edition app. I know being a CC member would be better. The owner of the app refused to go that route. Dumb, I know.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • Single Edition Native App for Android

    Is it possible to create a native app for android (google play store) with DPS single edition? Or is there another way to achieve it?

    Hi,
    The app will stay available but the content will disappear as you quit subscription after first month and the content is hosted on the Adobe Servers. You have also download fees in addition.
    No chance to bypass it.
    If I remember well, Aquafadas are the only ones who are having a single payment option for an Android single issue. But they are changing their marketing strategies frequently, so I'm not sure if it's still available.

  • Some files in HTMLResources not loading in single edition developer app

    Good day again.
    I have created a single edition app and it works perfectly when tested in Content Viewer. The moment I install the Developer .ipa  the PDF files I loaded in the HTMLResources.zip folder does not load.
    Any ideas what I did wrong?
    Thanks

    Anyone? I installed  DPS v32.1 hoping that will solve the problem but still no joy.
    The Single Edition app I build works fine on both iOS7 and 8 when viewed in the Content Viewer, but as soon as I download the Developer App the PDF files I embedded in the HTMLResources.zip file does not load?
    Please, any help out there?
    Stefan

  • Can you create a Adobe DPS app that use Web Services

    I'm looking to create a DPS app that uses web services to pass data to and from a web server when the user has an internet connection, but when the user is offline stores data locally until an internet connection is established and then passes the locally stored data to the web server. Is this possible with DPS/

    It's challenging but it's possible. Hint: local storage.

  • Will a creative cloud subscription allow me to use dps tools to create single edition apps for Samsu

    Hi I'm looking to get a CC subscription. Will this let me create apps for the Samsung Galaxy?
    At the moment I will only need to share these with clients using the email/sharing feature.
    Thanks for your help.

    You can use the Adobe Content Viewer on large Android devices. It is unsupported on phones.
    That said, Creative Cloud is way more than just DPS SE. If you're currently on CS3 or later you  can get the first year for only $29.99/month. You find the details here: http://bit.ly/MYZkDX

  • How to edit Vine App videos using Adobe Elements?

    Hey guys, I'm trying to edit videos to use for the Vine App but every time i go and save the work it always saves with black borders around the videos when i try to upload them. Can anyone help? I was told Vine use 480x480 resolution as MP4 videos but it still comes out with the borders.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    julio
    I tried to road test this by downloading and installing the Vine App, but all I had was iPod Touch 4th generation which cannot be updated to meet the requirements for Vine App.
    So, please give the following its road test, and let us see if this works for you....
    1. Open Premiere Elements 13 to its Expert workspace. Edit Menu/Preferences/General and remove the check mark next to "Default Scale to Frame Size".
    2. Import your source media 1080p into Premiere Elements 13 (Add Media/Files and Folders) and make your 6 sec segment. You can selectively export that
    6 seconds segment without having to get rid of the rest of the Timeline
    a. move the gray tabs to span just that Timeline segment
    and
    b. when in the export area make sure that there is a check mark next to Share Work Area Bar Only.
    This first screenshot was done with version 10, but points to the two requirements for selective import that applies to 13 as well.
    3. Go to Publish+Share/Mobile Phones and Players/Apple iPod, iPad, and iPhone/ with Presets = "Apple iPad 2,3, 4, Mini; iPhone 4S, 5, 5S; Apple TV3 - 1080p29.97"
    Under the Advanced Button.Video Tab of that preset customize the preset as shown in the following screenshot
    Video Tab opened to show details.....
    Check out the Multiplexer Tab to assure that
    Multiplexer = MP4
    Stream Compatibility = iPod
    This should give you a 480 x 480 H.264.mp4 file (6 seconds duration) saved to the computer hard drive location that you designate.
    You can also produce a H.264.mov file using Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime. We can go
    into that next if necessary.
    We will be watching for your results.
    Thank you.

  • Single Edition iPad App sharing?

    With the recent and rapid changes in the DPS platform, I was hoping someone could give me the "current" answer regarding sharing apps?
    Two questions:
    1.) Is there a way to share a folio for review and approval with someone who does not have a CC, pro, or enterprise account?  The recent upgrade to v27 makes it seem that a folio can only be shared through the acrobat.com site.
    2.) Is there a was to distribute an app (for iOS) outside of the iTunes store?  My publication isn't really for public consumption, it's more of internal company publication.  I was hoping that there was an easy way to get the app to the intended users.  Again, I'm only using the CC Single App version of DPS.
    Many thanks!

    I'd like to know how I can share both an app, and a folio.
    You can't share an app without an enterprise account.
    Thanks for pointing out the "Share" dropdown in the InDesign Folio Builder window, although I can't seem to get it to work.  It looks like the same dialog as the share window on digitalpublishing.acrobat.com but just doesn't send an email.  The dialog window  at digitalpublishing.acrobat.com did share the link, so thanks again for that.
    Working for me so I'm not sure what's up with it
    Just to clarify, when I share a folio via , the person with the link sent by the site will have to establish a Adobe account to access the file?  If I were targeting a small-ish workgroup of say 30-50 people, would this be the preferred method?
    That is correct. And they'll need to verify it by signing into digitalpublishing.acrobat.com
      As for sharing an app, what are the limitations of the CC version (vs. Enterprise & Pro) in terms of distribution?  Can I share the testing (development) version without going through the app store?
    You can share a developer app with the limitation of 100 UDIDs and it will expire.

  • Simulator build needed for Single-edition DPS App

    Hi everyone!
    We're trying to embed our App into our site with one of those sites that offers that kind of service, but they're asking for a simulator build and won't accept .ipa files or even the distribution .zip for the App store. They do offer a plugin for Xcode that helps you take it over staright from there. Problem is, nothing except the transfer was done from within Xcode, so there's nothing there, obviously.
    So, the question is, how do we get a "simulator build?" Presumably, that's what you create in Xcode for iOS simulator..? Is there a smart way of getting this from any of the builds I'll have after creating the App with DPS?
    I've asked the company in question for support, but they seem a little busy setting up new offices and getting funding to answer the question or even provide some sort of troubleshooting page on their site. SUPER HELPFUL.
    I've searched the DPS forum for something similar, but not found anything. If someone does have a thread link for this type of problme, please do post that, of course. Otherwise, any proverbial sharing of greymatter would be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hello Pete, please take a look at the following document and see if it applies to your case:

  • Update an Single edition app with different (pro) account

    Hello,
    I have question regarding updating SE apps.
    1. From what I understand you can still create single edition apps for ipads after May 1st with a pro account, correct?
    2. If I create an app now, with my CC account, can I later, after May 1st, create a professional account under a different name (company name, not mine) and update my old app? (assuming that my apple account and certificates stays the same)
    Thank you
    Alex

    1. Yes.
    2. Yes.
