Creating Stock in Simulation version

Hi Gurus,
Is there a way to create to Stock with categories like CC, CK, CF etc in a simulation version.
I am working on a project and have a requirement to see if we can create stock in simulation version? Any leads in achieving that would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Murali

Hi Mike – Thanks for the detailed reply. I did the same and I got the below error. I think in your message I see the planning version as ‘000’ and when I use that it did create, but we want to create stocks in a simulation version.
Error message:
A APO_BAPI 185 Function or parameter CLASSVALUESCHAR is not supported for planning version SIM_EIS
A APO_BAPI 185 Function or parameter STOCK-VERSION is not supported for planning version SIM_EIS
I APO_BAPI 004 Rollback executed (see long text)
  I /SAPAPO/CIF          003 Application log (ext. no. K{M8CY4A6Q3X0800GDHYCW) for obj. APO_BAPI and sub-obj. ST_APS has been logged
Also, an FYI, in debug mode, if we change the planning version from Simulation to active and then flip it back after the validation it is creating the stocks in the simulation version.
I was trying  to use the standard BAPI in a LSMW to create stocks to a Simulation version to avoid creating a new custom program, hence the challenge.
Thanks,
Murali

  • Creat simulation version

    Dear All
when i try to creat sim version in cjv4 i get error massage (Results analysis key 000001 not intended for determining capitalization values) pl gave solution on this.
    Regards
    Prathamesh

Try carrying out the settlement first (if you are using Investement profile - AUC settlement) and then create the simulation version.
If not, delete the investment profile on the WBS elements and create the simulation version.

    Hi marcv,
When I open your VI it's broken and the error seems related to this term in a formula node:
Y=5*X^4  (The ^ function wants an integer, but X is a float)
To raise X to the 4th, try:
    Y=5*pow(X,4)
    Cheers.

  • Simulation version Error - Message no. C2323

    Dear Experts,
I'm trying to create simulation version from operative project.
I'm getting the following error even though I have maintained settlement rule.
Settlement rule contains errors and has not been saved
    Message no. C2323
    Diagnosis
You use a strategy and/or default rule to automatically determine settlement rules for orders/networks.
The system has determined a settlement rule for NWA #46 according to the defined strategy and/or default rule. However, when checking this settlement rule, an error appeared.
This error may occur, for example, when you want to create a settlement rule for the superior WBS element, because due to a user status on the WBS element, this is not allowed.
    System Response
The settlement rule is not saved due to the error.
    Procedure
Maintain the settlement rule manually for NWA #46, and check the strategy and/or default rule used.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    VINOD.V

below is the settlement strategy parameter for network
    Manual maintenance of settlement rule
1   Automatic generation of settlement rule
2   Generate settlement to WBS element
3   Copy settlement rule of the WBS element
4   Copy settlement rule of the project definition
    5   No settlement rule
    then assign strategy to PSP/PS1
assign network settlement profile to network type as zps1,2,3,4&5
so just configure the strategy according to suitability then run simulation.

  • CJV4, WBS simulation version cost in COSS and COSP by cost element

    Hi PS expert.  (-:
IN PS When we freeze a simulation version with CJV4,  (operative data to version), sap will create new object number in table VSCAUFV_CN for each network and VSPRPS_CN for each Wbs element related to the simulation Version.
In our environment, SAP will add record in COSS and COSP for the new object number for Network but NOT FOR THE WBS.
Is it standard to NOT record the cost in COSS and COSP for the simulation cost of the WBS (against the new object number?)
That mean we will able to see the simulation cost by cost element for network, but NOT FOR WBS element.
For the WBS, we only record the cost in RPSCO by cost category.
Is there a way to active (with an exit ..classu2026bapi) the recording of the cost of the WBS by simulation version in COSS and COSP
Thanks you very much for your help
    Sophie

    hi sophie,
create separate network for each wbs in project.  see if this can solve your issue.

  • Integration of Simulation versions of APO & R/3

    Hi,
I want to integrate simulation versions of APO & R/3 so that data can flow between both systems.  Is it possible?  How to do it?
If the answer is possible, how to create simulation version in R/3 and to integrate with the simulation version of APO?
    Please reply,
    Regards,
    R. Senthil Mareeswaran.

    Hi Senthil,
APO & R/3 Integration can only be done with active version that is version 000. Integration using simulation version is not possible.

  • Simulation version

    Hi,
On simulation i have two questions
    1. What is the significance of simulation profile. Is it required to be assigned for the project (Through project profile) before carrying out the simulation?
2.I am trying to create simulation version in CJV4 for the project. I have created the simulation profile and assigned it to my project profile. But when i try to create the simulation version i am getting the following error
"When you want to run a report that uses the PSJ logical database, module pools are generated for runtime optimization and memory optimization. This module pool cannot be generated since therew is an error in the logical database. This error can only occur, if the SAPDBPSJ program was changed during the runtime of your prrogram".
Can any body help me in this?
    Rajesh

    Hi,
Simulation profile is not mandatory. The profile controls what texts get copied from operative project to simulation. If you dont give this profile, all texts get copied into simulation.
I would be able to help if you tell me the error message number. I hope it is not dump. In that case goto ST22 and let me know the details.

  • Sales pricing from Project Simulation Version

    hi.
Has anybody created sales pricing for the project using transaction DP 82? It does not create the sales pricing for the simulation version, even though I have provided the version key.
The status of the simulation version of the project is CRTD. I am using the network cost planning in the simulation version of the project. Am I missing something here? I am hoping to get an answer from this community. Thanks for your help in advance.
    Regards
    Mey

    Hi
The following are the prerequisites for the sucessful fuctioning of sales pricing for simulation versions of the project.
    1. A dynamic item processor profile (DIP profile) must have been maintained in the customer inquiry.and must be Customized for Project System.
2.The same DIP profile must have been entered on the Sales B tab page of the item detail view in the SD order.
    3. A customer inquiry with at least one item that has to be maintained and assigned to a billing element must exist. The system determines the SD data for sales pricing from this inquiry item.
4.You have planned costs (in concordance with cost elements) for your project version.
If these prerequisites are met, i think it will work

  • FC req copy into Simulation version

    Hi,
Having an interesting problem at the moment, we have PIR's created in ECC that are then reprisented by FC Req's in APO, so all is as expected.
The issue that I am having is that if I copy the active version for a simulation version the FC Req's are being shown as Dep demand!!
Have I missed something on the copy back process?
Plus I have noticed that if for example the FC Req is for 10 in the active version not only does it change the element type but also splits the order down (as if rounding was being used) so I end up with 5 dependent demands of 2.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
1)For forecast coming as Dep demand, check whether the
ATP categories, category groups are transferred
correctly from active to simulation version.
    2) Check the logs of copy version jobs which will give
some insight to you to act accordingly
    3) For splitting of demand, check whether the lot size,
product split etc., are maintained accordingly and
    transferred correctly

  • How to compare the simulation version

    Dear Experts,
For Operative Projects we can create Simulation Versions (CJV1 / CJV4) & Project Version (CN72).
We can compare different Project Versions with Operative Project (S_ALR_87013539 / 38).
Similarly can we compare Simulation version with Operative Project?
OR can we see plan cost report for simulation version?
    Please guide.
    Rajesh

    Hi,
Simulation versions are not meant for comparison purpose. You can use Project versions for that, which are snapshots of project at that point of time.
Simulation versions can be used to analyse 'what-if' conditions and for quotation ie pre-order analysis. Before receipt of sales order, you can create simulation project and do cost planning for quotation purpose. After receipt of sales order, this project can be made operative. In case of loss of project, you can delete simulation.
Another case can be during execution you want to check "what happens if" kind of conditions. you can transfer operative project to simulation version, simulate reqd condition. If results are desirable, you can copy the simulation version onto current project or alternatively delete simulation.

  • Quotations from Project Simulation Version

    Hi experts,
We are creating project quotations using DP81. We create multiple quotations for the same inquiry using Project Simulation Version.
We would like to know from which version the quotation document has been created, is it possible?
Or can you suggest any workaround?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Both options, as in DP81 we are able to select simulations versions.
But onces the quotations has been created we can't know the source. we know the project as is informed in the account assignment but not the simulation version we have used.
Has anybody faced this issue before?

  • Slaes pricing using simulation version

    Hi experts,
Is it possible to create sales pricing using simulaton version project ?

    Hi Ravi
    Thanks for your response
Please look at the link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60/helpdata/en/0b/ba853488601e33e10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm
There is an illustration which depicts that,
    - Project P1234/version 0001 --> Project 1234 --> Project P1234/Version 0002 --> Project P1234
As per this illustration, the project number remains same.
As you said, the transaction CJ20N is not allowing me to transfer the simulation version to operative project.
But, i am experiencing a dump error while trying to transfer simulation to operative in CVJ4.
At the conclusion, i mean to say that irrespective of transaction code, this may be allowed.
    Please comment.
    warm regards

  • Actual Cost on Simulation Version

    Hello
I am creating simulation version thru CJV1. How do I plan and post actuals on that version ? I don't see that simulation version (proj defn) to do planning or to use it on PO in WBS drop down list.
In short how do I simulation of cost on such proj versions. Once I transfer it to operative proj thru CJV4, I am able to do planning and post actual. What is the right way of using simulation versions?
    Thanks
    Sarang

Ok got u. But then how do you paln costs on same i.e. commitment or activities labour cost etc

  • Planed costs on Simulation Version

Where can I see the planed costs on Simulation?
I have an escenario where the project is created as Simulation, and after this one is evaluated on duration and costs, the user transfer the simulation to an operative project, but I need to see the planed costs.

    Hi ,
Go to trnsaction CNS41 Structure Overview report
Press The Push button DB Profile
Tick on Version data in Origin
here u can select the simulation versions for which u want to see the Project info with differentiated colors

  • Optimizer in simulation version

We are running SNP Optimization for a simulation version, while we are running the optimizer job, the planners who are working in active version are complaining about system slowness.  Any body come across this situation? if so, what your recommendations.  Any help is appreciated. We are using SCM 7.2.
    thx
    Jeff

    Hello Jeff,
    Optimizer works in three steps:
    Read master data
    optimization
    write log
The time consuming steps is the 'optimization', and it works in the optimizer server.
So i do not think for the 1st and 2nd step, it slow the system.
If it really killing the performance then try to break the optimizer job into multiple by creating multiple variant. It depend on the business case as well as master data.
For example, you can not run a shared resource in 2 different jobs.
