Does anybody know of anywhere I can findo some tutorials on
creating a image that looks a lot like the default desktop image on
OS X.

Is there an app that works like the Mac OS X "finder" but to see files on the iPhone???

Apps on the iPhone are sandboxed. That means they only have access to their own files. They cannot see the files of other apps or of the system. This is for security reasons.
There are some apps that present a list of files, like Air Sharing, for you to manage, but there is nothing like the Finder.

When in Windows you can go to control panels and open the Boot Camp icon to set the startup disk.

Default desktop image

I'm not sure if this the right place to ask this question but here goes-- I am a school librarian with 15 G5 iMacs and an OS X Server. We have used user management to set up permissions for the students but I would like to set the default desktop image to one that I have created with some information I would like the students to see when they login. I can do that for individual users but not as a default for all users. Can this be done? I was able to do this in the past.

scp is a command-line tool to securely transfer files from one host to another. It could help you to streamline the process of updating the image, but it might be tricky with all the spaces in the path. I just tried to do replace Aqua Blue that way for a few minutes without success. Don't worry about it if you're happy with your method.

Why does the Mac App Store default back to the first page of results?

When I search in the MAS for any app and there are more than one page of results, while I am browsing pages 2 and up when I select an app to look at and go back to the search results (either by swiping on my trackpad OR clicking the back button) the list of pages defaults to the first page of results. Is this a bug or is there some setting somewhere that I can change to make it work right??

You could log a feature request with Apple via the bugreport tool, if you have access to that tool.

How do I move back photos from an external drive (but iPhoto library on Mac hd) to the Mac HD without reimporting all images again in iPhoto?

The following scenario:
Mac HD: iPhoto Libary
External HD: all photos which are shown in iPhoto
now I want to copy back the photos from the external HD to the mac hd and I want iPhoto to know the new location of all these photos (couple of 10 thounsands)
How do I do that without reimporting all images again into iPhoto

do you have a default "managed" library (the iPhoto preference to "copy imported items to the iPhoto library is in its checked state) or referenced library (you have unchecked that option)

Does the Mac Mini sport regular desktop processors or does it have mobile (notebook) versions?

I'm planning on pirchasing a Mac mini, but due to the size and price, I can't help thinking there might have been a sacrafice on the CPU. So is the processor like the one in the iMac or like the one in the Macbook lineup.

Using the Mac with windows for document imaging business is it practical?

I have incorporated my business in my state and the premise is to perform document imaging services. The problem though is alot of recommendations from windows people telling me its not practical to enter this arena using a windows xp on a mac and it would be more practical just getting a pc since the industry and all software for the business is done for windows. I am wondering if I do this using windows on my mac in a commercial atmosphere how much of a problem should Iexpect and should I just go ahead and use a pc laptop for the business. I was also going to use a company that has apple servers for my online backup of files.

None. Why would you? Running Windows on a Mac is just like runnning it on any other PC, because Macs...are PCs.

Group policy preference for creating printers setting the wrong printer as default

We have a a group policy preference applied to users. At the moment we create a shared printer and set it as default for all users in a specific OU. Now we need to add another shared printer. I have updated the policy and set it to create
the new shared printer and have set item level targeting to the same OU as the first printer. I want to keep the existing printer as the default, however when the policy runs, the new printer is created fine but it is set as the default
printer. Is this because it has been added last ? There doesn't seem to be a way of changing the order that the printers are applied.
Both printers are Shared printers and are set to Create
The existing printer (printer A) is set as the default printer. It is targeted at the London OU.
The new printer (printer B) has NOT been set as default. It is targeted at the London OU.
No other options have been set.
When the policy is applied both printers are added but printer B is being set as the default.
Any help would be appreciated.

Before going further, what's the operating systems of our clients? Here, I need to double confirm that the checkbox of
Set this printer as the default printer... is not selected in the new GPP Printer item. Besides, we can change the orders of the printer items. To do this, select the printer item, right click, click All Tasks, and choose Move Up or Move
Down to change the order.

To output your signal to the PFI lines,
you can use external connectios between OUT0 and PFI lines. You can also use
the backplane to do so by routing into the same RTSI line.

terminals are actually “PXI Trigger Line x/RTSIx” but on the 6602 you might
need to route the signal using the property:

How can I create something like the "Report Attribute" screen?

I know this is a little bit vague. If we edit a report, we will see the parent level tab on the top, as "application builder, sql workshop, administration". Right below the tab, we have the breadcrumb. Then second level tab "Region definition, "Region attribute" is under the breadcrumb. This is the interface I'd like to have. The application is using theme 12.

No, it would need to be inserted from the photos app or copy and pasted from another source. It would also help to know what app you are specifically referring to.

Don't like the Navigation Bar? Try an Image Map.

I understand the simplicity of the Navigation Bar, but being unable to even move the hyperlinks, let alone change the font without resorting to hacking XML, struck me as too simple. I decided not to use it, instead opting for a hyperlink image map, which is really easy to make using iWeb. I put up directions here:

The image bit is quite a good idea. I had created menus on my page, for the same reason as I wanted my own fonts. It all works perfectly until I decided to add some flags to differentiate the same pages in different languages and I placed my flags in the top area of the page.
I spent hours trying to understand why they wouldn't work, changing opacity, location, size, until I moved them enough to realise that the top area is restricted to link generated by iweb and if you attempt to place your link to high, it will work in the iweb program but will not publish...
about 2.5 cm from the top are banned from publishing links

What's the connection between iPhoto and Desktop Images?

I've had a problem for a couple weeks now, where I want to change my desktop wallpaper image and it won't stay set to the new image after I re-boot or re-start.
Yesterday, I stumbled upon a suggestion to re-load images into iPhoto so they show up under Events. I set the wallpaper image, rebooted and the old image came back.
This morning, I went back into iPhoto and selected each of the folders where I could see the new image. I selected the image, set it as desktop wallpaper and re-started. It worked. I changed the image to something else using the System Preferences --> Desktop & Screen Saver option, then re-booted and confirmed the new image I had selected was still set.
Voila! The problem was solved.
But what I don't know, is why iPhoto had anything to do with System Preferences --> Desktop & Screen Saver selections. I was trying to select the image in the main Pictures folder where I've always kept the images for my desktop but they wouldn't stay. The only way I was able to fix the problem is to use iPhoto and somehow, whatever it was that got corrupted was now fixed.
I've spent a good few hours over the course of the last couple weeks trying to fix the issue but I haven't yet found an actual fix until now as I stumbled upon it myself by chance. Any insights one may be able to share would be greatly appreciated.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to know the difference between User Profile Service and User Information List.
The user profile store in SharePoint contains information about users. User profiles can be created by importing users from a user account directory, or they can be created manually.
In most environments Active Directory will be used as the source for creating user profiles. The user profile imports can be scheduled to run on a regular basis and they can be either incremental or full.
However, the information in the user information list is stored in the UserInfo table in the content database of the site.
A user gets added to the user information list when he or she has accesses the site for the first time.
In the user information list a user's email address, login name and name are stored. SharePoint will make sure that user profile property information for those fields for users that are added to the user information list is sent to the user.
