Creating templates

how do you create templates in pages on the iphone? has anyone tried to create these.

Try creating a page that has your menus on it and then setting that page as the default page for your users. Give them some kind of customize privs on that page and then they can customize the page for themselves by adding their own portlets.

Need help with creating template. Changes are not going through to index.html page

Hi all,
I have an issue with my template that I am creating and also a question about creating template Regions (Repeating and Editable).
Somehow my changes to my index.dwt are not changing my index.html page.
Also my other question is: For my top navigation bar and left navigation bar links, do I need to select and define each individual button or link as Repeating/Editable Region? or can I just select the whole navigation bar (the one on the top) etc...
Below are my steps for creating my template...I am kinda fairly new to using DW and this is my first attempt to making a template following the DW tutorial CD that came with DW CS3.

-Open my index.html file
-File/save as template
-Save
-update links - yes
-Select Repeating and Editable Regions (I selected the whole top navigation bar and selected Repeating Region and Editable Region, same with the left side navigation links)
-File close all
-Open the index.dwt
-Save as and selected the index.html and chose to overide it..
When I make changes to my index.dwt it is not changing the index.html
I feel that I am missing some important steps here.....

Hello,
I have created internet services with theme 99. Now when i try to create template with following, i get an error,
Program Name : name of Z program
Screen Number : 2000
Generating style : MOBILE mobile devices
When i press Save, i get an error message,
Template Generator: Template ITSGENMOBILE 99 HTML/BEGIN missing
Message no. ITS_GENERATE_TEMPL101
Any idea, what kind of error is this?

Problem in creating template for the accounting transactions

Hi,
suppose for making an entry through fb50 we have to enter g/l a/c no. in that particular field but if some one does not want his end user to make an entry to this field other than putting an entry through his end user he wants system to take the required g/l a/c by default is it possible by creating template for that particular postings? if yes how to generate the template? i have tried to make a template through the recurring entries but not succeeded in that , so please help me.

You can create a template with a particular account code string from within FB50.
Make sure you have the tree turned on (Tree On/ Tree Off button toggles display).
Once you have entered the standard coding, right click on the Account Assignment Template folder to get a popup menu. Select "Save Account Assignment Template". A dialog box will ask you to name the template.
You can then instruct users to use this template to record this type of transaction.
However, this does not prevent the user from doing direct entry or changing account code strings. If you have a situation where for a particular combination of accounting elements, whether header or detail, for which the GL should always be a particular value, you can create a substitution rule in IMG which will automatically populate the GL field with the specific GL account value. The IMG transaction is OBBH.

Creating template from assembly with whitespace in image name doesn't work

Given is the following:
A test .ova describing a simple VM.
1. this .ova is imported as assembly and successfully unpacked.
2. we have unpacked following files:
- "test vm-disk1.vmdk" (notice the whitespace in filename!)
- "test vm.ovf"
3. assembly is shown in web gui
4. create template from this assembly
5. webgui shows progress but the process will never stop. vbox-img is using 100% cpu time, and no .img in VirtualDisk directory is created.
Workaround:
Avoid whitespace in .vmdk filenames and reference them correctly in .ovf.
This is OVM 3.0.3 with latest patches.

OI template error - Failed to create template

Hi,
I was under the impression that the Excel snapshot templates could be customized and tried to do this but it didn't work. I restored the master (copied it back to the template folder) but got an error message when I try to (re)set the template paths: Failed to create template (template name here).
I uninstalled OI completely and reinstalled (both server and client) but still get the above message, even when I changed the path where the templates are installed. This is only on the workstations, not on the server so I'm thinking that there is something on the workstation that is stored that doesn't get uninstalled when the add-on is uninstalled.
Even though the templates are installed in the folders indicated in the OI Company Setup, the snapshot templates are not available when in Outlook, no doubt because of this error message; there is something that isn't properly installed that links the templates to Outlook.
Any ideas how I get rid of this message? Don't see why uninstall would not fix this; sounds like a bug with the add-on.

Dear gurus,
I need to create templates for the LSO. Templates which we can capture data on for the personal development plans. I need these templates to have a drop down not to allow free text. For instance, when an employee's going for a course, the information must come from the templates regarding courses he needs to attend in that prticular financial year as per his PDP. PDFDocumentRuntimeException: IOException occured while creating template

Hello All,
I have modified the iView so that it loads the a pdf document instead of displaying it on the screen. Before the application tries to load the pdf form its throwing these errors. Did any one see this error before? Any ideas. your help is highly appreciated.
I am guessing this might be issue on server side or might be of context mapping. not sure though.
Environment, J2EE 7.0 and EP 7 Adobe 8.

In our case below visibility is set it is visible.

Automatic conversion of PR in to PO using transaction code ME59N. It is not possible to convert the PR in to PO by using ME57.
This transaction code- ME57 used to assign the sources like vendor for the PR. Pre-requistic for this transaction base assignment you have already maintained Info record and source list for the material and vendor.
Pre requistic setting for the Automatic PO:
Flagged Automatic PO in SPRO->Inventory management->Goods receipt->create PO automatically
1.Automatic PO flagged at material master in purchasing view.
2.In Vendor master flagged Automatic PO in Purchasing data screen.
3.Create Info Record.
4.Maintain Source list.
5.Create PR.
6.Convert Automatic PR in to PO via t-code ME59N.

Create Template in Oracle App

Hello All,
I have created several XML Publisher templates for job offer letter. Now what I need to do is upload these letters to Oracle app. I don't know what I need to do in the next step because I know how to upload the template to the existing seeded template in the Oracle app but I don't know what should I do if there is no seeded template for upload. Should i create template in Oracle and name them first and then upload these letters? if yes how. Please help me on this one.

We are creating templated PDF's for our new web to print software. How do you create the fillable pdf so that when ripped it will separte the pms colors? Our designers say that the fillable text can only be in black and can't be in a pms color?

I see. It's true that form fields do not support spot colors. I know you can flatten form fields, converting the field text to regular text, and embed the fonts using Preflight. What I don't know is if you can then convert the font color to spot (maybe using Advanced > Print Production > Convert Colors), but it's worth looking into.

DW 8.0.2 Not creating Templates folder

So today I went to create a template (first on this
new , large site we are working on) and DW will not create the
default templates folder. It keeps saving my .dwt in the root
folder.
Background. I have all the permissions in the world on this
server - there are 4 sites I work on daily and two of them have
templates created by DW MX and MX 2004. This is the first time I
have tried to create templates for this particular site (on the
same server as the others). DW is installed on my local machine and
I do not EVER save any work locally, so if this is the solution -
then it isn't good enough. We are required to work 100% on our
servers for backup reason (don't get me started), which hasn't been
a problem in the past. I use PUT/GET to move my files b/t servers
(mockup/live). Again - never a problem in the last versions of DW,
but for some reason 8.0.1 is having issues.
Anyone have ANY ideas why DW 8.0.1 [Correction: 8.0.2] isn't
creating the Templates folder it needs???
