Creating the DB Control Repository to the EBS...

Hi,
I want to create the DB Control Repository(OEM web-version) into the EBS system. Is the Document Id: 278100.1 the appropriate doc...????
Note: I use EBS 11.5.10 and DB 10.2.0.4
Thank you,
Sim

Sim,
This note should be enough (as stated above). However, you may also refer to the following note (though it is for R12, but it does also work with 11i since your database version is 10.2.0.4) for some other reported/knows issues that you may encounter when enabling OEM DB Control.

  • How to create a custom control of a button where the look will be applied to all others but not the Boolean text?

    Hi all
I would like to create a customized button as a master so that if I change the look of the master all other buttons will change too.
I have done this with a custom control as a "strict type def" otherwise the look will not change BUT If I do this as a strict type def I cannot change the Boolean text anymore which should be different on every button.
How can I create a master control of a button where the look will be applied to all others but not the Boolean text?

    Steve Chandler wrote:
I don't think you can do that. I just looked and as I suspected the Boolean text property is read only for strict typedefs so you cannot use property nodes to change the text.
As a workaround just make it a typedef. When you want to change the look open the typedef and make it strict, make your changes, then make it non strict again. You will have to update the Boolean text again for all instances. Kind of a pain. Maybe this is something for the idea exchange.
    Kudos for being sneaky.

  • Getting Error While Creating the Rule Repository File in SOA OrderBooking

    Hi,
I am creating a SOA OrderBooking Demo Application by following the OrderBooking Tutorial. In Chapter 8.10 Set up Oracle Business Rules when i open the "http://host:port/ruleauthor" link here In the Repository tab:
    ■ Repository Type: select File.
    ■ File Location: enter
    SOADEMO\SOAOrderBooking\bpel\rules\oracle\sample_
repository. (SOADEMO refers to the directory where you are building the
SOA Order Booking application.) Rule Author will create the sample_repository file.
    but in my C:\Downloads\jdevhome\jdev\mywork\SOADEMO\SOAOrderBooking\bpel
I dont have rules\oracle\sample_repository file in it. I created rules and oracle folder there but when i gave the sample_repository path on the ruleauthor page i got the error of "invalid directory path".
I also tried to give the sample_repository path from (here i unzipped the demo application) my
    " C:\Documents and Settings\usareen\Desktop\BPEL Tutorials\soademo_101310_prod\SOADEMO\SOAOrderBooking\bpel\rules\oracle\sample_repository"
But it still shows the directory path error.
    Please help me out.
    thanks

    Hi Uds,
are you running SOA Suite on a Linux server and not on your PC and just running JDeveloper on your PC?
If so try creating the repository file specifying a directory on the Linux server.
    For example to:
    /tmp/sample_repository
So Choose 'File' from drop down menu
    Enter /tmp/sample_repository
    Click on create button
This should create the file called sample_repository in /tmp on the Linux server.
Can you tell us what your environment is?

  • I create a CNiGraph control dynamically, But why havent I seen the Demo Mode Message Window?

I am a licenced user of Mesurement Studio. I create a CNiGraph control dynamically. All work well.
Then I copied my source code to another PC, I run "regsvr32 cwui.ocx", I found I can compile my source code on that computer, without any message box.
But some people said that there will be a Demo Mode Message box.
That's to say, any one can copy my source code to other computer and compile it well, then how can I protect my right?
On what condition the Demo Mode Message Box will appear? I want it to show up when others use my code.

It sounds like you were expecting the message box to come up at compile-time. Is that correct? If so, that is not expected and should not ever happen - the message box that you're referring to should not come up until you actually run the application. However, if you're dynamically creating the control and you are specifying the license string at creation time in your code, I expect it would still work when you take the code to another machine. Could you please reply with more information about what you're trying to do and how you expect this to work? Thanks.

    Hi MDM Guru's
I have Installed SAP MDM 5.5 SP06 Patch 1 on Solaris with Oracle 10g

    Needs to resolve this Urgently.

    Hi Dilmit Chadha,
NO I did not. When I said I changed the DBMS Settings that means. In the SAP MDM COnsole, right click on mounted MDM server, click on DBMS Settings, Input the DBMS Server, username and passowrd  and on the screen I changed the Data Path and Index Path.
As per me Data Path is for creating the data file of Oracle tablespace for the Data part of Repository. and Index Path is for creating the data file of oracle for the Index part of the same Repository.
Following error may also help which I see in the server log at the time when I tried to create the repository.
