Creating two itunes libaries on one computer...
Can any one tell me in simple terms how to create two itunes libaries for different ipods on one computer?? Both ipods seem to go into the same library when over I connect!
Thanks in advance..
Dell Windows XP
If you want to have two completely separate iTunes libraries, you will need to have separate Windows user accounts.
To use multiple iPods with a single iTunes account, look here:

Can we have two iTune accounts on one computer
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to know if I can create two iTune accounts on one computer.
My teen and I right now share one account and the problem gets confusing
when we both want to use Itune gift cards (it's hard to keep track separately).
I have a 2nd gen Touch and my teen has a 2nd gen Nano but might be getting the newer nano. Any help will be greatly appreciated. ThanksJust wanted to know if I can create two iTune accounts on one computer.
You can. Log in and out as needed, or create a new Windows XP user account.

I have a personal iTunes account set up on my laptop, but I need to create an account for my school. Can I have two iTunes accounts on one computer?
I think you can. But issues can happen when you sync, transfer, and back-up with itunes on computer.

Not sure what you mean.
An account is a user name and password.
Sign into whichever account you want to use for purchasing.
Authorize the computer for both account to listen to the content. -

We have two iTunes accounts on one computer. Why is my music, apps, etc showing in my husbands account? Home sharing is NOT selected. This recently became an issue when we added additional devices. Now we keep getting each other's apps!
He intentado creando nuevas cuentas y desinstalando iTunes y volviendolo a instalar.
Favor de orientarme en la solucion adecuada para el asunto comentado anteriormente. -
I have two ITunes accounts on one computer. One is a classic iPod, the other is for a Nano with a different user. Is it possible to "share" playlists? If so, how do I go about doing that?
videoDVD is a delivery format, normally end of the of the road...
but, you can convert dvds into something editable, you need 3rd party tools, your options are, in recommended order:
* DVDxDV (free trial, 25$, Pro: 90$)
* Apple mpeg2 plugin (20$) + Streamclip (free)
* Cinematize >60$
* Mpeg2Works >25$ + Apple plug-in
* Toast6/7 allows converting to dv/insert dvd, hit apple-k
* connect a miniDV Camcorder with analogue input to a DVD-player and transfer disk to tape/use as converter -
I have two Ipad's and tried to create two ITune Libraries on my computer. Now cannot find the original library on my computer and the Ipad will not syc?
You should be able to accept this message, it will cause existing music, photos (not camera roll) and videos (also excluding those in camera roll) to be removed and replaced with those from this computer. All other user data on the iPad will be unaffected.

If I have two or more iTunes Libraries on one computer, how do I know which one is opening when I click on the iTunes icon on my desktop?
You cannot.
When you sync to a new library, it will erase the current content.
Use your backup copy of the old computer to copy everything to the new one. -
We have 2 ITunes libraries on one computer. Is there a way to share movies, music, etc. between the two libraries?
To your second question, probably the easiest way is to set up another user account on your machine. Then when that user opens iTunes, it will be a new library (empty) that they can put anything they want into, and not corrupt your library.
With another user account, they can also customize their own desktop photo, desktop icons, etc. so lots of benefits doing it that way. Works out great for me and my 13 year old daughter so I don't have to see the latest Emo band hearthrob's face on my desktop.

Can you have two iTunes accounts on one computer?
Just bought a MacBook Air which I'm sharing with my husband. Is it possible to have two active iTunes accounts on one computer? We both have very different tastes in music and we have our own iPhones that we'd like to update differently. Would be great to have the option to separate our accounts.
Yes you can... and it's not that hard

can i have two itunes accounts on one computer
Hello Barry
It is a yes and no answer. Yes you can but you cannot have them in the same iTunes library or one of the accounts cannot be associated for 90 days. You would need to have either a separate user or separate iTunes library to have both Apple ID’s on the same computer.

Two iPhones and two iTunes accounts on one computer
My wife and I both have identical iPhones and my wife wants to give her laptop to my son. I thought that I could manage her iPhone from the same computer that I manage my iPhone from but I am having issues. If I logout of iTunes and login with her ID, iTunes does a backup of her phone but iTunes displays my apps, not hers.
I've searched this forum and cannot find the answer although I am confident that we aren't the first to want to do this.Are you both using the same Windows login account or separate accounts? It sounds like you are trying to both use the same Windows login account as well as iTunes Library, which is probably where your problem lies.
I believe (but I haven't verified) that if you create a new iTunes Library for one of the two of you, you can each manage your own music & apps i your respective libraries. If you use separate Windows signon accounts, you can easily manage using different libraries, but it might be a bit more difficult using just one Windows account. All f this assumes you are using Windows since you don't clearly state, but similar could be applied to MacOS. -
Can there be two iTunes accounts on one computer?
There is only one computer in my household, and since my daughter received an iPhone, she needs her own iTunes account on my laptop. Trust me, I have no desire to share music with a tween. Is there a way for each of us to have our own accounts on my computer? Thanks!
Create a separate Windows user account, or launch iTunes with the Shift key held down and create a new library.
