How do we create a workflow in SAP ISU?
Is it a standard function in SAP or require development of custom program?

    Are there any special settings for SUBWORKFLOWS
    There is no Special Setting for Sub Workflow.
    Only error which i get in my inbox is
    Please repair the suspended workflow
    1) Once you get the Error, open a new session goto T.code SU53 and see any authorization issue
        If Yes, send the screen shot to Basis Team to get the authorization.
    2) If Authorization is fine, Check the binding for that Workitem Regenerate and Test it . Also Check the Workflow log and see  which step error is showing, then see the Step history comments.   .

    i have 3 processes  and there tasks day wise from 0 to 15 days . now i have to create workflow for this documentation , triggering mail for the interdependent tasks . means if for particular process on day 3 , the task assigned on that day should be finished and if not it should have trigger a mail . i am new to SAP workflow . need help on this ,

    You can install the standard business user help which contains this information.  The help is context sensitive and shows sections relative to each piece of the UI.  For more information on installing this help, please search the CRM 2007 forum, as this topic has been discussed there before.

    in evernt contianer we have to create elements in BOR where we create event in parameters
    2. workflow container
    in workflow container we have to create elements in workflow builder itself. in left side of the screen we see <double click to create element>
    3. task container
    in task container we have to create in task itself it has a tab called container elements
    4. method container
    in method container we have to create in BOR. it is created in parameter of that BOR.
    5. rule container
    in rule container we have to create in PFAC transaction

  • Unable to save workflow types and create workflow stage  in CUP

    Hi Guru's,
    We are currently installling GRC AC 5.3 and are stuck in configuration.
    we are unable to create workflow stage in CUP. Whenever we try to open the tab for stage it gives below mentioned error.
    Webpage error details

    Hi Akshay,
    It seems you have uploaded some wrong file .
    I would suggest you to delete those entries from table.
    please check for the  duplicate entry in u r workflow type under miscellaneous tab in CUP.
    for example if you find duplicate entry for work flow type  RE that is ERM ,   And the Work flow type ERM gives you error while saving request type .then please look for the table VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE   in file AE_init_append_data_RE.xml   and follow the below  mentioned  steps:
    1. log in  to SQL with SYSDBA access delete the duplicate entry.
    2.use  below command to find the
    SQL> select * from SAPSR3DB.VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE where NAME='ERM'
    3. delete this Row form the table.
    4. restart AS java
    After deleting this  duplicate entry your issue should get resolved.

    SharePoint 2013 supports both 2010 legacy type workflows that run in the OWS timer service on the SharePoint server and 2013 workflows that run on a server running Workflow Manager.  You can still create the same kind of workflows you created in SharePoint
    2010 without Workflow Manager.  That would include 2010 List Workflows.  You only need Workflow Manager if you want to create the newer kind of workflows that use Workflow Manager.  All the built-in workflows still use the 2010 legacy workflow
    system.  Both types of workflows can be created using SharePoint Designer 2013.

    Hi,
    I'd be wary of using a WAIT activity, since this will essentially have the workflow running forever in the same SQL session. If you ever need to shutdown the database, then you would have to kill the session (or do a shutdown abort), which will rollback all the Workflow transactional data.
    I would leave the polling logic to a process outside the Workflow engine. In an Applications environment, this should be a Concurrent request. If this is standalone Workflow, then schedule something using DBMS_JOB. The job should check the database, and if necessary, initiate a new workflow to send the notification.
    If the notification does not require a response, then I would be inclined to bypass Workflow competely, and have a job which calls UTL_SMTP to send an email.

  • Unable to Create Workflows with either SharePoint Designer 2010 or 2013 to our SharePoint Online Service

    I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on our current issue using SharePoint Online (hope this question is in the correct place)
    We are using SharePoint Online and I believe we are using the SharePoint Plan 1 for EDU - which I believe is the A2 Free plan.
    I have being trying to get my head around the new changes (as we currently run a standalone 2010 deployment) and decided to see what workflow options I had.  I had read to use SharePoint Designer 2013 with the online service and after installation opened
    the package, connected to the site and tried to create a simple email workflow.  I first saw a loading screen stating
    "The list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist. Some actions will not be available.  The assembly strong name is Microsoft.Activities, Version 1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=731bf3856ad364e35.
    Contact your server administrator for more information."
    after this it tried loading some metadata and then I saw:
    Server-side activities have been updated. You need to restart SharePoint Designer to use the updated version of activities.
    I close SPD down and rebooted and then same happened again and continues too.
    After research I applied a hotfix that was known to resolve the issue, but it still remains.  I also tried running SPD in admin mode but the same still happens.
    Lastly I tried selecting workflows 2010 from the drop down field when creating the workflow to see what happened.  I go the same.  I also keep getting the following as a pop from time to time.
    The list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist. Some actions will not be available.  The assembly strong name is Microsoft.Office.Workflow.Actions, Version=16.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c.
    Contact your server administrator for more information.
    I have also tried to do the same in SharePoint Designer 2010, but receive the same massages.
    What should I be looking at or doing to help rectify this?

    uninstalled Language Pack and it worked!
    Uninstalling the Preview and installing SharePoint Designer 2013 resolved the error.

    According to the link as linle provided, there are two deletions in local, please double check these two places:
    1.Delete all folders in the following directory:
    C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SharePoint Designer\ProxyAssemblyCache\
    2.Delete the files in all folders in this directory:
    C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebsiteCache\  (don’t delete the folders, just delete the contents of the folders)
    Then, try to create a new workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013 to see if it works.
    You can first keep the list for the current status, and save it as a template which will be used to create another list.
    1.Login and locate the associated list on your SharePoint Online.
    2.Click List Settings under List tab, and click Save list as template.
    3.Type a File name, Template name, select Include Content, and click OK. Click OK.
    4.Click Site Actions->More Options->List.
    5.Locate and click the newly saved template, type a name, and click Create.
    Then, create a workflow in your SharePoint Designer 2010 associated to the new list to see if it works.
    Moreover, please check if there are any maintenances on your SharePoint Online which may cause the issue.
    1.Login to Office 365 Portal (https://portal.microsoftonline.com/).
    2.Click Service Health in the left pane of Admin page.
    3.Check the status of SharePoint Online

    In my company, we run down payment by F110 according to down payment request. We use workflow to release parked document before post. But down payment request is created as noted item, so that, it isn't go to workflow when create. Please give me advice how i can manage Down Payment Request. Ex: we want block down payment request when being create and have release function to permit down payment by F110.

    Using T-code F-47 - Down payment request against raise to possible as follows.
    a) Purchase Order Document
    b) Production Order
    c)PM Order
    d)Service Order
    e)Process Order
    f)Internal Order
    Down payment request is not possible against to raise StockTtransfer Order(STO) and display error message.
    So, you have to choose the above list only.

    Hi,
    SAP has a standard workflow WS20000075 for PO. Just go to SWDD and activate the event linkage. Based on the PO release startgey the number of level it has it will trigger the workflow step by step for each release. For example release startegy has code 01 and 02. First for code 01 this workflow will get triggered and once the first level approver approves it it will automaticlly trigger the workflow for level 02 using event 'RELEASESTEPCREATED'. This event is triggered for each release level.  You would have to modify the agent determination criteria if you dont want to use SAP standard rule.
    We have implemented PO workflow in our past projects. Please let us know in case you need any more inputs.

  • Email review creates workflows file size that makes Acrobat 9 unbearably slow.

    I have been using the email review features in Acrobat pro version 9.3.1. All was going fine until, apparently, my workflows file got to around 1.5mb. If I understand correctly this is the file that Review Tracker uses to track PDF emailed for review.
    The problem is Acrobat becomes unbearably slow to open and operate.
    I narrowed down the reason by opening Acrobat with no plugins loaded and it operated fine. Then by enabling and disabling various plugins I found that when any plug-in having something to do with the commenting and tracking process was enabled acrobat again became unbearably slow. Through searching on this forum I found the workflows file that is created for tracking email reviews. I discovered with all plug-ins enabled and with the workflow file removed acrobat operated fine when I put the file back it again opens and operates unbearably slow.
    So I know how to make Acrobat operate correctly by removing the Workflows file. Acrobat will create a new one if I start another review. The big problem is I have lost all my tracking on previous reviews.
    I was wondering if anyone else might have had a similar problem when the Workflows file became larger than 1.5mb or so?
    Does anyone know of a way I can keep my previous email reviews and still have acrobat operate correctly?
    I also wonder if this will happen again?

    Flattening should be expected to make files bigger, much bigger in the worst case. It is rarely a way to reduce size, though sometimes it will be - it all depends on what is in the file.
    An example where it could reduce size is where a series of images are overlayed transparently. This would end up being a single one. There may be cases where lots of layers get consolidated into something simpler, but if the layers were vector and the result is raster it won't.
    So, flattening might be a useful tool, but it's best to try it and test the result.
    Better still to stop the proprietary software from choking... !

    this workflow is a one step approval mail
    In the workflow three steps are there.
    In the first step i have to derive basic hourly salary of the person by using infotype --- 008 and company code for the pernr from the 0001 and benefit plan he enrolled
    Second step ---
    there are two company codes, I have to use condition step,
    if one company code I have to send to one hr department mail for approval
    and the other for another hr department step.
    in the workitem i have to pass salary information, pernr information.
    third step, after approval I have to update the respective infotype.
    My question is for the above scenerio, what object type I have to use.
    For the first step is there any method I have to create which calls function module.
    if so for which object type i have to add method.
    third how do I create the workflow container for this.
    I am new to workflow. Please help me friends.

    I think you should create your own Business Object or you can refer to Business Object EMPSALPACK.
    Now Company Code should be an Attribute that you should do the Coding For.
    Use this attribute in the Condition Step of Workflow Template.
    Workflow Container will contain the Business Object that you will be creating. The Business object should have Key Field Pernr and may be anything relevant that you will do for Coding. I think you might have to trigger the Event of the Business Object through code.
    Check the Code below.
