Creation Material BOM Time

Dear Expert,
How can I get the creation time for Material BOM while I can only get the creation date.
Is there any idea?

BOM creation time can not be found like some other document as Purchase Order.
Only date can be traced out

Is there any place which stores the material creation date and time. We have checked table MARA, but that only has the creation date of the material, but does not give the material creation time. We have checked table CDHDR, but that only seems to have the material change date and time.
From where can we retrieve the material creation date and time.

Actually, CDHDR and CDPOS will have the value. The CDHDR record will be marked as a 'U" record but look at the corresponding CDPOS record for MARA and it will be marked as an 'I' record.

Cideon / Autocad 2007 / Material BOM Creation from autocad

Hi,
we are using Cideon integration for AutoCad 2007 & SAP ERP communication. DIR's in DMS are created from AutoCad drawings via SAP menu.
We want to create Material & Material BOM from AutoCad but we cannot see any option present in SAP menu. We can just create Header Material from SAP menu in AutoCad, no BOM option. What steps should be taken to enable material & bom creation from AutoCad SAP menu.

thanks for all your inputs. My requirement has somewhat changed over the last 24 hrs. What it stands as of now is that for a material and a plant there exists a bom (with items and sub-items).
I have to retrieve this data and create a new BOM for a different plant.
The first step would be to retrieve all the BOM data from STKO STPO and STPU. Is there any FM that would retrieve all these data
What FM would i then use to create a new BOM

2 Material BOM creation

Dear All,
I want to create 2 material bom. please see the below details
i have 1 raw material sheet for example 6 mtr metal sheet
i want to produce 2 part from 6 mtr metal sheet that is one material is 3 mtr & seconde is 2 mtr & remaing 1 mtr is my scrap
can you guide me, how to create two diffrence material bom in one bom
so i can understand that 1 raw material = 2 diffrent product + scrap

Using existing serial number is not giving me perfect solution.....
there is no validation of matching serial number which has been created before for that material
e.g.
if i am having one line item with quatity:10
At GR 10 serial numbers will be generated.
at GI he can assign any serial number to any material which is not desirable in my case.
Please let me know can we stop serial number creation at the time of GR?????

Automatic lot creation based on time Frequency

For 01 inspection incoming inspection ,
F or certified vendors, without inspection , material is getting posted to UUS without lot creation. ( QI info record settings).
but for this case , business requirement is to get automatic lot creation based on time like 6 months once .
Automatic lot to be created for this certified vendor on time frequency basis. how to trigger this Lot creation based on time.

In std SAP we dont have option of generating Automatic lot creation based on periodic basis. But we can provide some workaround soultion.
Option 1:
USe Source Insepction concept. Here Inspection lot will be created for every P.O. Here u can relase P.O line items in QI07 which can sceduled in Job planning on periodic basis. Use Skip inspection lot concept to skip unwanted lots. This has direct relation with Q-Info record.
Option 2:
U can generate automatic lot creation based on Stability study concept. Here are the following steps
Initiate Stablility study
Create Initial sample
Perform intial test
Confirm initail sample
stability planning
Define storage condition
create testing schedule
store stability sample
define cycle start
schedule
complete stability study.
Option 3:
To get Automatic lot creation u can use BAPI QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE . When a due date come for inspection,it created a lot of 01 / Z-01 inspection type automatically through QA01( call the program ,enter the inspection lot origin & material,vendor & save). Create Z-T code which has vendor material plant combination.
Execute the above T-code based on Periodic basis.
Explore above 3 options and choose best one according to ur requirements.

Change material BOM

how can i change material after creation of bom..if we cant change then how can we delete the bom..

Hi Rahul,
do you want to change the details of the header material of the BOM or of the component?
Changes are limited depending on the kind of material you want to change and the change you want to make.
Deleting should be a last resort, if it is not at all possible to change the 'material' in BOM.
provide the exact requirement so that the solution can be specific.

Material Staging time in Schedule Lines (Shipping Tab) of Sales order

Hi Gurus,
I would like to know how the time is arrived at, in the Schedule line of a sales order.
I have maintained the Working times in the Factory Calendar. via Route Dependent with Pick Pack time as 3 Hrs 30 Min.
and working time in Shipping point is from 08:00 to 20:00 hours.
When i create a sales order now, i could see that material staging time is determined.
But now i would like to know, what time should be determined here.

How to change the header of Material BOM in a program for alternative BOM ?

Requirement: An Inbound IDOC creates /change/delete Alternative Material BOM. The Alternative Material BOM can have alternative values from 1 to 99.
ISSUE: I am good with CREATE and DELETE BOM. The issue is with CHANGE of header Material BOM. The fields which we need to change in the header is the base quantity, BOM status, Lot Size from and Lot Size to. Please note that I am able to change the item details of the BOM with FM CSAI_BOM_MAINTAIN. I find no FM /BAPI which would change the header of a material BOM.
Please NOTE that I am using BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE to create alternative Material BOM. This has a parameter in TABLES called "VARIANTS" which has a field CS_FUNCTION which can have value from NEW/CHG/DEL .Also ,there is another parameter in TABLES called "ITEMASSIGNMENTS" which has a field CS_FUNCTION which can have value from NEW/CHG/DEL which implies this FM will allow us to change the BOM. But this does not work when I use it for CHANGE scenario with CHG value. I debugged this BAPI and observed it requires a STNLR(Bill of Material) value . This field is not there in any of the structure. I am not sure if I am passing the right parameters to it.
Let me know if the parameters are passed correctly for CHANGE scenario.
Also let me know if there is any other way(FM/BAPI) to update the Header of the Material BOM ?

Try doing something like this:

Can some one help me out in finding the user exit for PO creation at the time of saving.
The Requirement is:
I need to create a custom field in EKKO table.
After appending the structure with the field to the EKKO table, i need to create a PO.
Now i need to update the field which has been created at the time of pressing the SAVE button.
I need to update the EKKO table it self.
I could find the user exits but none of them have the EKKO table either in Changing or in Tables.

Creating material bom with reference to Sales order bom.

How to create material bom by coping Sales order bom.?

Just go to T code: CS01 use BOm usage 1 & then select the copy from icon in the menu bar.
On the popup screen enter material no, plat , bom usage =5 (sales bom).
System will then allow you to select items from Sales bom. Select the items you need copied to Material BOM. Then save.

Material BOM mass change error

Hi gurus,
When doing mass change of BOM via tcode CS20, i'm getting below error result.
The following messages were displayed:
Material BOM 00016478 : Delete Item(s)
   19760                                  STM-220-(20UP)78DZ*C06U029(XC06U029)Sn 200
   0130 L 01/01/2002 12/31/9999              1.00 PC     >               1.00 PC
   No batch input data for screen SAPLSDDT 0010
   Folder created/extended
I wonder what does "No batch input data for screen SAPLSDDT 0010" mean? what should i do to correct this?
I also noticed that all items on the picklist were grayed out though i can still click on the checkbox button to select the items that I want to be deleted.
Has anyone encountered this problem? I usually use CS20 during BOM mass change and haven't encountered this kind of problem.
Hope to hear advise from you all on how to deal with this.
