Creation of Infotype Menu

Dear Sir/Mam
Greetings of the day!!!
I am in the process of creation of infotype menu. My infotype menu will be consisting of Basic Personal Data (S1) , Time Data (S2) , Payroll Data (S3).
I went into spro, then personal management then in to personal administration then into customizing procedures then in to infotype menu.
In infotype menu i went into User group dependency on menus and info groups. There i created S1 , S2 & S3 and gave reference group 40.
After that i went into infotype menu and there i created different infotypes which i need under S1, S2 & S3 respectively.
Then i went in to Determine choice of infotype menu . Under that i went into User group dependency on menus and info groups. Under that i created Personal Administration (11) and gave reference group 40.
Then i went int infotype menu. There i wrote 11 and under that S1, S2 7 S3
But now when i going to PA30 it is not showing. I also want that the infotype menu which i have not created should not be shown,
What should i do now? Have i missed any step?
Please guide me....

Hi,
if you want to change it to '11', users will have to use the set-/get-parameter PMN (infotype menu), the corresponding infotype menu appears when you call the initial HR Master Data display/maintenance screen for the first time. Otherwise the infotype menu "01" is used.

try this...
Goto PM01 and enter Infotype: xxxx eg: 9495
Make sure that first field component type is SUBTY
Like: zzstype   SUBTY      Char      4      Subtype
Now click on 'ALL' button.
Creation of Subtype:
Goto initial scren PM01.
In menu tool bar, goto -
Subtype Characteristics click on enter.
Now click on new entries,
subtype     name
01             Annual shares
02             special premium shares
click on save.
Note: All subtypes are stored in T591A table
Now assigning subtypes to infotype.
now click on 'Technical Attributes' in PM01 screen
change, select ur custom infotype'xxxx' and click on 'details'   on application tool bar.
subtype field: zzstype
stype table: T591A
stype text table: T591S
stype const table: T591A
Now click on 'SAVE'.
Now check ur infotype with subtype.

Difference in action menu , infotype menu, actions

Actions - YOu organisation will have certain events which will be performed during the employees life term in that company, such as Hiring, Transfer, promotion etc. These u will configure in PM--> PA --> Customising procedure --> Actions > setup personnel actions. After u configure actions, you will configure the infotype menu, i.e the infotypes you need to maintain for each actions. For eg: for Hiring you wil definitly need IT00, 01, 02 etc..and these infotypes will be executed in a sequence. So you wil create an infogroup and assign these infogroups to actions. PM> PA --> Customising procedure --> Actions --> Define Infogroups. These infogroups will be define in IGMOD.
Infotype Menu - This is what you will configure for PA30. For each tabs such as "Basic Employee data", Contract Data, Planning data, you wil decide what infotypes should be visible under it. Path: PM--> PA -->Customising procedure --> Infotype menu
Action menu - This is the menu which will get displayed in pa40 screen. The actions you configure for your enterprise wil be displayed here.
Note: the reference user group no. which you will maintain for action menu and infotype menu will have to be given in the UGR in User parameter

I hope hope your problem is not solved yet, so find my input.
If you want to maintain a OM infotype menu the you can do that through OOIT tcode. Here you have to map each infotype with the Objects in which you want them to appear.

Concern during the creation of a menu contextual

Hello has all, I am a french developer using
Flex/ActionScript for the development of application to work.
I have a concern during the creation of a menu contextual.
I have could contater that a contextMenuItem with the value
“delete” is not posted in my menu contextual.
Sample :

It is probably that the one or both of the following situations
apply:
1) please check the value for field BEXCLUDE in table GB01 for the
relevant field(s). If the field has the value X then it cannot be
substituted in the standard system.
Please refer to the attached note 42615 regarding this.
2) please check if any of these substitutions involved a modification
at callup point 3.
See the attached note 386896, where it states:
"As of Release ERP 2004, you can no longer use the source code
corrections as these can cause inconsistencies between the entry
view and the general ledger view.
As of Release ERP 2004 you can also use the AC_DOCUMENT BADI for
postings using the accounting interface."

PA30 Initial Screen - need to take off /delimet infotype menu group

Hi All,
If i want to take off / delimit infotype menu group from PA30 screen ( for example - I dont want user to see Gorss/net payroll and Net Payroll infotype tabs)
can any one please guide me how to do that?

Error while creation of role menu

Dear All,
I am creating role for my functional team. In Menu, I want to copy the area menu W10T meant for IS Retail. But, it gives me following dump:
Runtime Errors CALL_FUNCTION_PARM_MISSING
Except. CX_SY_DYN_CALL_PARAM_MISSING
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_PARAM_MISSING', was
not caught in
procedure "MENU_AREA_F4_HELP_HIERARCHY" "(FUNCTION)", nor was it propagated by
a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the exception would occur, the current program is terminated.The reason for the exception is:
When calling the function module "MENU_AGR_TREE_GET_SELECTED", one of the
parameters needed according to the interface description was not specified.
This parameter was "INPUT_DTLS".
I searched for notes but no help, google didnt work either for this dump for menu creation.
Any help please.

Have you tried narrowing down the problem to only this area menu or does it happen if you attempt to change/copy any of your menus in your system?
What release is your SAP System?

How to restrict change/creation of Infotype record after termination action

Hi All,
Based on my client requirement, we have to restrict any change or creation of certain infotypes after performing termination action.
For Ex:- Suppose termination date is 01.01.2008. End user should not able to change or create any new record for infotype 0001, 0008 and 0016 after 01.01.2008.
This is very critical. Request your valid input ASAP.

Creation of infotype with lengthy fields?

Hello All,
I am trying to create a custom infotype which has fields of length 200 characters.
But when I try to create infotype I am getting the following message:
'Field PXXXX-field1 is too long(it has been shortened to 132 bytes)'
And one of the fields I want to display as list box. So I modified the module pool. But I couldn't find the input field for the 200 length field in the screen. And hence I am not able to activate the screen after modifying the other field to list box.
Please help me out in solving this issue.

Steps to create a HR Infotype:
1) Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the 'Employee Infotype' radio button.
4) Select the 'PS Structure Infotype'.
5) Click on Create... A separate table maintenance window appears...
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on 'All' push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on 'Technical Characteristics'. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on 'Change'(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on 'Detail' (magnifying glass) button
13) Give 'T591A' as subtype table
14) Give 'T591S' as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on 'Infotype Characteristics' ... Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on 'Change' (pencil) button
19) Click on 'New Entries'
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement...
25) In the PM01 initial screen...Select 'Screen' radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select 'Layout Editor' and click 'Change'.
27) Screen default layout appears...here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Don't forget to 'Activate at every level)
Subtype Creation :
Transaction PM01 Goto Subtype Characteristics. Click on Append and then subtype. Enter the name and description of subtype on screen.
Then goto technical Characteristics and maintain the details of subtype there. I.e name of subtype i.e. component name defined in PSnnnn. Subtype table is T591A.
Subty.text tab is T591S and time const tab is T591A.

Creation of infotype

I am trying to create custom infotype in OM using Transation code PPCI.
1. First creating Structure using Datatype
2. After creation of Structure creating infotype using PPCI
but i am getting error message like : t777I no table entries exist.

Disable Creation of infotype

I would like to disable creation and insertion of a custom 9xxx infotype...
Is there any customizing way to do this ? Or should I do some abap

If you are talking the actual creation of a table entry for the IT9XXX then I would think that could be handled through the Role, if not then you could add some code to ZXPADU02 to stop it.

Problem in creation of infotype

When i will try to create a custom infotype and am trying to save it ,it gives the following error "Package in non-original system only modifiable with Organizer Tools" and a default package came in the initial screen of PM01.So i cant understand it please help me to saolve this issue.

Ali,
Please check the package which you are saving. per my understanding, this is routed to non original system.
Use the valid package which is attached and routed to QAT and PRD box path, then it will resolve your issue.

How to Restrict Creation of Infotype Record for Certain Org Units?

Dear All,
Requirement:
Org Unit 1 does not have overtime. Even the employee works overtime, they will not get overtime compensation.
One of the option is to disallow the creation of IT2005's record for all the employees in Org Unit 1.
Is it possible to do this through standard SAP?

The best way to control this will be with Authorizations so that people belonging to one Org.unit should not have IT2005 mantainence.

CREATION OF INFOTYPE _ LIST BOX ISSUE

Hi all,
I am creating a custom infotype through pm01. I want to use say 10 list boxes in this infotype where the values should come from different fields of a data table. I am using vrm_set_values for this.
I am passing values through an internal table. The issue is - how to go about passing different field values to different list boxes. should i create separate subroutines for each list box or should I catch the ok code values for each of the listbox click? or is there any other way to do it?

1. OK Code does not come into picture.
2. For all those 10 list boxes,
   we have to populate them,
   inside the PBO.
3.
call function 'VRM_SET_VALUES'
       exporting
            id     = combo_id
            values = items.
     exceptions
          id_illegal_name = 1
          others          = 2.
Where COMBO_ID will be the name of your list box.
