User Id creation for Jco connections
Hi,
Need to create a user for verifying the Jco connections. Please help me with the steps of creation and how can it restricted only for verifying the connections.
ThanksHi Daneil,
Best way is to do it yourself.
1 - Create a user having full access (SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW and RFC Full access as well).
2 - Set up the JCO connection with this user ID.
3 - Put a trace (ST01) on this user ID and then test the connection.
4 - Analyze the trace file and create a role having all the access pulled in the trace.
5 - remove all the access from the above user and assign the role created in 4.
6 - Put a trace once again on this user Id, just to ensure that if there is a miss in any authorization(failure) then you will be able to capture that as well. Update the role accordingly.
Hope this helps. -
Hi all,
i'm having a problem when creating JCO connections for WebDynpro.
When I create an "Application data" connection with "Single Server Connection" the connection is created sucessfully and I have successfull test and ping.
If I create an "Application data" conncetion with "Load Balancing" then the connection returns an error
"com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.sl.api.WDSystemLandscapeException: Error while obtaining JCO connection"
The Metadata connections it's only possible to create with "load-balanced connection" and then all of them gaves this last error.
Then, when I try to run an portal application for MSS/ESS it gave
"Failed to resolve connection parameter for 'SAP_R3_SelfServiceGenerics_MetaData'"
Someone knows why is that ? Can I pass over it !?!?
I'm stuck because I don't know what more can I do !!! I think that I've read all documentation about that !!
Best Regards,
Thanks very much

Error creation of JCO connection: System Already Exist
Hi Experts,
We have created the SLD connection to the ECC6.0 from the Portal 7.0.
Created one JCO connection using that SLD successfully for the Clinet 100.
Now we required to create one more JCO Connection for client200 also. But it is giving the Error that
System Already Exist.
How can we resolve this. When we create the JCO connection for one client, con't we create one more JCO connection for the same system for the differt client or not?
If so How do it?
RegardsI think you can add one more client in the existing connection. well, I am not sure about that even.

When I try and ping the JCo the error is as enclosed below:

I have maintained the enteries in hosts file as well as the services file and when I telnet the server on port 36XX where XX is the system number of the system I create the JCo for it connects successfully.
When I test the CIM test for the SLD that connects successfully.
Where and why is the JCo failing after creation?
Can someone throw some light on this error.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

DivyaHi All,
Anyone can help? I got the same problem. It seems that the PUBLIC group in NSP ABAP system can't not be accessed.
Here is my system landscape:
- I have installed the Java and ABAP in the same host
- My ABAP system is NW2004sSneakPreviewABAP, Java is SAPNetWeaver04_SP16Preview
1) I set up SLD successfully (import CIM, run <b>RZ70</b>, the ABAP system shown up in the Technical Landscape in SLD
2) I created JCO destination with Load Balancing but it failed to ping and to test
3) I already define the group 'PUBLIC' in tx <b>SMLG</b> but from SAPGUI I can't add the group. I got the error message "<b>Message Sever could not find any group</b>".
4) The PUBLIC group does not show if I run the program <b>'lgtst'</b>.

Hi,
I have configured ESS in my portal 6.0 but I am confused with some concepts.
I have created System in portal System Landscape with alias "SAP_WebDynpro_XSS" . & also i have created JCO Connection SAP_R3_HumanResources (Appln data/Metadata).These are the steps in configuration guide.....
My backend system is ECC 5.0.
If i can access my backend for my webdynpro iview through JCO connectiones why i need to create system in portal ????
Thanks in advance!!!
Smita.Hi,
All the Standard iviews use this System for calling the JavaWD Application.
This Java WD Application in turn uses the JCo to communicate with backend to get the application sensitive data to the application and display it.

Hi,
When I am trying to create JCO Connection in Webdynpro Content Admin ,
In step 2 it is asking for Connection
Message Server Connection / Application Server Connection
>>If I choose Message Server Connection , I am getting a runtime exception .
>>If I choose Application Server Connection , The Application Server DropDownList is blank.
>>Also there is a Use Router CheckBox , if I check this what should I give in the SAP Router InputField.
Can anyone help.
Thanks in AdvanceHi Chemmam,
I guess you have not created technical system in SLD.
You need to first create your technical system in sld.
Goto link http://<host>:<port>/sld
there choose Technical landscape link and then click on "New Technical System". I gives one wizard. Give information about your ABAP system there.
Now, you can see this system in the drop down.

Need help in JCO connection creation/maintanence.
Hi,
In our project we have EP system ( Java Stack). We need to form the JCO connection that is required to deploy the web dynpro applications. We have taken a couple of JCO connection which are already there SAP_R3_HumanResources & SAP_R3_HumanResources_Metadata.For SAP_R3_HumanResources_Metadata JCO connection the user existing is a dialog user, also not having sufficient authorization to access all DDIC functions. My question is that what authorization required to user in this case to access all DDIC functions? Also for SAP_R3_HumanResources JCO connection what all prerequisites we require?.In this environment CD2 ( Dev.SAP system) is acting as backend to production portal PP6 system. Please let me know if you want any more details from my side.Hi nileshshete
I quote this from sap-img.com:
There are many functions of DDIC user.
For E.g.. When you configure TMS you won't be able to configure it using sap*. For this you need a user who has access to Data dictionary and ABAP repository Object like DDIC user or user with sap_all and sap_new permission.
http://www.sap-img.com/basis/function-and-role-of-user-types.htm
I think u need a user with sap_all premission.
Hope it helps,

Problem with SLD and Creation of JCo
Hello everyone!
I have a problem with the SLD and the Creation of JCo on the Portal, in trying to create the JCo always tells me that the name used there in the SLD, being that the facility is new.
Who performs the installation, set in the SLD the ECC 6 PRD, delete it to see if I could create a JCo but still the error again when creating the ECC 6 PRD in the SLD I said that already exists and can not create it.
I found a forum which recommended re-import the cimsap .... .... zip and zip CR_Content which would clean everything, I managed to import the zip cimsap ... but in trying to raise CR_Content gives me the following message "All incremental updates of the selected aggregate import for export SAP_CR line have already been loaded before. You require a newer import to update your current content SAP_CR version 4.11." .
I recommend, do the installation again, reload the cimsap.zip and CR_Content.zip a copy homogeneous.
from already thank you very much

The "SLD" with which I am working up to Portal, the "ECC" installs itself as "ABAP.
Who did the installation and initial configuration, do not leave any documentation about it.
Now I need to create the systems and "JCo" necessary to enable them to implement the "ESS", but errors are presented above.
Some days ago I managed to update the CR_Content, which allowed me to create the "JCo" but at the time of the test, says' com.sap.mw.jco.JCO $ Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE "name or password incorrect .
I managed to also create the portal systems, "System Administration -> System Configuration -> Content Portal" and to test it fails on "Test Connection with Connector", which as noted is associated with the connectors "JCo".
For the creation of the system, I think I should create something in the Visual Administrator ", but within the documentation that I do not see anything about it.
thanks for your help! -
Jco connection error while calling Custom FM in CRM Internet Sales Application
Hi ,
I am trying to do some customisation in the CRM ISA 4.0 development component.
Have followed the steps given in the Development and Extension Guide and tutorial PDF
Steps done for Custom RFC Call
1. Create RFCs
2. Edit file backendobject-config.xml in folder project_root\b2b_z\WEB-INF\xcm\customer\modification:-
3. BackendBusinessObject Jco -
4. BusinessObject -
5. Edit file bom-config.xml in folder project_root\b2b_z\WEB-INF\xcm\customer\modification
6. BusinessObjectManager BoM
7. BackendAware-
8. config.xml - to add custom actions
9. Action creation
10. Page : Order_change.jsp.
The backend is the CRM system while making a call to the CRM system the connection to the CRM system is not working .
Similar to what is given in the tutorial the getDefaultJCoConnection() is used .
But gettting null at the JCO connection.
JCO.Function func = getDefaultJCoConnection().getJCoFunction(‘CRM_ISA_SHOP_GETLIST’);
This is how my custom FM is being called.
Can someone help me with what may be the possible reason for this call failure.
While debugging and checking it shows null pointer exception in the JCo connection .
Thanks
ChinjuHi Hamendra,
When the code debugging was done in Java then we got just the NullPointerException for the JCo.
In the nwa log shows
where BackendBusinessObjectBaseSAP is the standard Java Class in the ISA
Error at
com.sap.isa.core.eai.sp.jco.BackendBusinessObjectBaseSAP.getDefaultJCoConnection(BackendBusinessObjectBaseSAP.java:46)
Thanks

How to create a model and JCO connection
Hi all,
The Userid and Password given while creating new model at Singleserver/Load balancing tab should be same as the userid and password given while creating JCO connection. i.e in JCO creation while mapping modeldata to Application data and Metadata to metadata we will give some userid and password.
will those 2 userids and passwords should be same.
the error which i am getting is
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.modelimpl.dynamicrfc.WDDynamicRFCExecuteException: Error connecting using JCO.Client: null
Regards
Padma N2 userids and passwords need not be same
i got similar problem and this is how i resolved
this is because jco connections are Using SSO and the user who is accessing that webdynpro application is not present in the backend system.
please make sure user is there in the backend system from which you are getting data
