Creation of new position and communication infotype

can anybody tell me how can i create new position
and how can i assign communication infotype to position.

There are various ways to create position.
PO13, PP01, PPOSE...go throug SAP Help and U can find them.
Then assign this position to an employee in PA30.
Then assign the 105 to the employee in PA30.
Hence the position is linked to position.
These are very basic things and can be found in SAP Help.
Is there any specific things U require?Putting up the exact problem will help me to give U a proper solution rather than saying U somethign which U can easily get from Our best friend (Google).

Creating a new position and updating IT 1028 using HCM processes and forms

I have to create a new position and update the related infotypes using the design time framework of HCM processes and forms. The problem I am facing is the info type 1028 is not a part of the de coupled infotype framework and does not appear in the service fields list. How can I update the infotype 1028? I was thinking of updating it using the FLUSH method of the class implementing the ADV services interface IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE_ADVANCED by calling the function module RH_INSERT_INFTY. But, how do I get the position ID created? Is there any other way of achieving this? Please help as soon as possible.

Create one Function Module to return all the vacant positions and load that in a drop down.
For IT1028 you have to update via the RH_INSERT_INFTY.

Creation of new package and request number.

Hi frndz,
Hope everyone are doing fine. Coming to my query, its quite simple for you guys.
But me being new to BW, I would like to know how to create a new package and request number.
And I have a task to create a new IS and DS also. So do i need to create these new package and request number separately or at the time of creation of IS and DS.
Please give me clear idea.

Hi Vinay,
I hope you are speaking about Package to collect Objects and collecting them in Transport Requests.
Usually you use the same packages for all the objects. According to requirement if you want to create the Package you can goto SE80--> There you can create a New Package. Give Transport layer as SAP. and Activate it. Then you collect the package in a Transport Request. You can create the request by the create button on the screen when it ask for Transport Request.
While creating the Infosource or other objects you mention the package which you have created while saving and you can use the existing TR or new TR for collecting them.
You can use RSA1---> Transport Connection to collect the objects easily to TR's

MSS - Creating new Position and Org unit in MSS

Dear Expert,
Question 1: I want to know that is it possible to create a new Position or Org Unit in MSS. I am aware that manager can create a requisitioin for a position. But I am not aware that how HR manager will create the Org Unit or Position thourgh MSS.
- will the HR manager have a new HR administrator Role to do this activity, if yes, which service / iview is used.
Question 2: We are using Management of Global employees (MGE). Now if any employee expariate to a foreign country how does ESS/MSS will pick the new country assignment. Is there any ess/mss switch for this? or any other configuration
Question 3: I would like to know what are the main differences of EHP4 and EHP5.

Hello honey - answer to the 1st question.
MSS- click Organisation - Search Organisational Process - enter the Process HR_PD_CREATE_POSITION and click start , this could be one solution how the managers may be able to create new position through MSS.

Hi there,
As an SD consultant, these are the things you need to take care.
Assign the plant to the company code in OX18.
You need to assign the new plant to the sales org / distribution channel in OVX6.
Then assign the shipping point to plant in OVXC. If WH is active for your plant, then assign warehouse WH to plant & storage location in LE assignment.
Reg the master data, you need to assign the material master to the new plant. Also maintain the MRP profiles, plant specific data in the MM01.
Maintain the shipping point determination in OVL2 & storage loc determination in OVL3 (OVL3 if required)
Check with MM, PP & FI if they need to maintain any plant specific configs. There are some configs from their end for sure. For eg for production orders, purchase orders, movement types etc.
Reg the testing, you need to ensure that plant gets proposed automatically when a new sales order is created. Also maintain the relevent plant specific condition records.
Similarly when PGI is done, it should update the transfer postings in MM & FI w.r.t plant.
Even tough your project is in final stages, you have to do a regrious testing when a new plant is created. Testing cannot be compromised for time lines. It will lead to serious production issues if tsting is not properly done.

Mass creation of info records means, if you have more than 50+ records needs to be created, in that case you can use any bdc or CATT or LSMW program.

I got a requirement wherein I should create a new IS and DS for a single IO, and the source for this is a flat file.
And I should create this for an already existing Info cube which has got some IO's and the source for that is from some other system.
Am on 3.5 version. So can anyone suggest me how to go about doing this task. In order to club this new data from the flat file to the info cube?.

Hi,
Question 1 :
The Data for this single IO should be loaded from a CSV-file.
Answer : You cannot just load only one IO without attributes, so I suggest u maintain a counter for records as an attribute of this Single IO and then load it .
Question 2 :
Loading the same into Infocube .
Answer : Its not possible just with your flat file upload data ,
there are two ways of updating this , either you can update it with a routine basing on your requirement,
else you have to prepare a file again with the combination of the other characteristics and then upload the data into your infocube or if you are getting from source map it .
let me tell you that just loading single IO with a file will never help you in any ways to upload again in to Infocube .

Creation of new version and its Posting

Hello,
I am trying to create a new version and Posting it programatically. For creating a new version for a particular claim i am using action code A019 and for Posting A043.
i am callid FM BAPI_WARRANTYCLAIM_SET_ACTION for setting the action codes.
My new Version gets created but if for some reason the posting doesnt take place i want to delete the new version created.
How can this be achieved. There is no action code to delete a created verison of claim .
Please suggest.

Issue with Creation of new entity and adding it to collection

LR_ENTITY_ACCT(Account details) is the parent node and that is populated using the query builder.
From there, I am trying to get realtion of notes section 'BuilNotesRel'). If it is not present, I am creating a new entity of that relation through parent node, setting attributes and saving it. I have written the following code. While debugging, I can see the new entity created under parent LR_ENTITY_ACCT and set property is also working. But afer execution, if I check in genil_bol_browser transaction, there is no new entity created under BuilNotesRel. Please help.

Then I create the entity, get properties, set the properties and do a core modify.

DBM Creation of New Vehicle and the relationship with Valuation Class

HI SAP,
I'm having problem when creating new vehicle in /DBM/VM. The Valuation Class that i use for VEHI is 4010. when i click
on save the system show valuation class 3200 not allowed for material type vehicle config. i already check my valution class
configuration, My Materia Type VEHI does not link with 3200. how do i resolve this issue ?

From the error message it appears that valuation class tied up with your vehicle model is 3200.
Is it a very new model for which no vehicles created so far?
Can you please post accounting 1 view of material too showing valuation class as well as valuation category settings?
Please also check split valuation is correctly setup for plant you are selecting for vehicle.
check and reply with findings.

Creation of new columns and reformatting of data in infocube

Hi,
Although i got the results i wanted in my demo cube, i am not sure how it came to that.
In my flat file, i have entries of 1001 for 0D_CREDITOR, and 82004 for 0FISCPER. However in my infocube, i am seeing entries of 0000001001 for 0D_CREDITOR, 2004008 for 0FISCPER, and a new entry of 2004 for Fiscal Year.
I am sure it must have gone through transformation in either the update or transfer rule. Please explain in finer details if possible.

Hi,
0D_CREDITOR is using ALPHA conversion routine and 0FISCPER using another conversion routine which you can check in the data source itself in BI system.
ALPHA conversion padds up the values with 0's in the left if the values coming from the source is less then the length of the infooobject.
SO if 0D_CREDITOR is of length 10 and the value from source for 0D_CREDITOR is 1000...then it will pad up 6 0's in the left to make it 10.
conversion routine for fiscal period will work in changing the field.

On board program does not run the motor to new positions yet commands to state of digital I/O in the same program line.

I am controlling a stepper motor position via a PIC-7342 board. This part of the program has worked in the past. I have another program that does almost the same thing and it works as always.
The program sets the speed and accelerations, then sets a position and tell the motor to run to the position. Then it sets a communication bit through the MCS register. Then it sets a new position and command the motor to run to the new position. It then delays a short time and commands an output to turn on. Then it sets a new position and commands the motor to run to the new position. After each command to run there is a wait for motion complete. The code used to work correctly. Now the motor runs to the first position and proceeds no further. The finial position is sometimes a couple of steps past the setpoint, which is very unusual. The digital output is fired like the second position has been reached, even though the motor has not moved to the position. The actual path for the motor is clear, so there is not mechanical reason for the problem. How would you troubleshoot an on board program?

What has changed since you last ran your system? Can you move the motor in Measurement & automation explorer? Are you getting any errors? Is this program written in LabVIEW? You may also find the following useful:

Automate Creation of new items in EBS

Hey everyone -
Just a question ,
we want to automate creation of new items in our system.
Our view is something like -
1. user GUI to request a new item, according to predefined templates.
2. Users fill a few fields of information.
3. Item manager gets notified and approves item is needed.
4. Automation to run batch and create everything relevant. (org assignment, item KFF, category assignments, BOMs etc). As much automation as possible, we can map template behaviour, variety is small.
I was wondering if there is any product supporting such behaviour.
I looked into Oracle's APC, and it seems like it doesnt do enough. Besides as far as I noticed it relies mostly on Item Catalog attributes which we don't. Also Im not sure if this product is "alive" coz oracle bought AGILE for PLM.
Does anyone know of a product that supports creation of new items and is flexible to fit our needs?
We want to make sure we're not missing something before we develop custom code for that.

I have done an interface which creates an item in master and child .Which assighns category set on iots level controls .It inserts item into all active subinventories.
It notifies the end user with email any item already exits and error .
Regarding templates.
it assigs compatible templates at master and org leve.These are predefined and are not validated in program
