Creation of new task in a different TR

Hi All,
I have a modification to be made to a User exit. When I'm trying to change to editable mode, a new task in the default TR (already associated with the user exit) is being created. but I want to create the new task in a different TR.
is there any possibility of changing the TR (charm already associated with the user exit) associated with the user exit to a new TR (new charm)?
Please help...

Hi Sri Latha,
There is option to create the TR for same modification.If you are changing the same modification it will create one sub task under main TR.
SO you can change your modification and under old old TR only.Before going to release the TR,
You can create one empty TR include those modifications in new TR.

Creation of new task list in CharM not possible

Hello!
I am using SOLMAN 4.0 (SP13 with the newest SP) and the problem to create the task list in Tcode: SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN --> System Landscape --> Change requests --"Create task list".
The following error occurs:
The project is not released. Hence cycle can not be created.
/TMWFLOW/CONFIG_UI017
How to solve this problem?
Any helpful information will be appreciated.

Yes, the problem was wrong configuration of systems.
Please try the following:
- your systems in system landscape have the right roles
- your TMS configuration is mandant dependent
- you have delivery as well consolidation routes
You can also run the check for the consistency...
You can write back, if the problem still exist...

It is a bit dangerous doing what you suggest so I am in agreement with Frederic above, rather create seperate includes. I have done this, for example, with zxhalu07 user exit i.e.:
function exit_saplrha0_003.
include zxhalu07 .
endfunction.
and then in include zxhalu07:
*& Include           ZXHALU07
   include zxhalu07_01 if found.
   include zxhalu07_02 if found.

User is creating item in ListA. In new form he needs to put Manager which is User Field column type. From people picker he is choosing login name Domain\jo (Two letters seems to be important here). User is resolved correctly to John Doe. Item is saved and
added to list correctly. In list view John Doe is displayed in Manager column. In view item John Doe is in Manager field. In powershell Id;#John Doe is as a Manager field value.
Now the "funny" part:
After item is added to ListA workflow is started automatically. Workflow is assigning new task to user from Manager (CurrentItem:Manager) field using Assign task action. Now the new task is assigned to different person i.e. John Dimagio with login name DOMAIN\jod
! When I am logging value to wf history of the CurrentItem:Manager field I am getting sth like i;123#DOMAIN\jod . So value is completely different and wrong.
Can someone explain why is this happening?
My guess is that using two letters login name can cause such case but why ?

CT, I suspect that I either mistated the question or don't understand how to set the default back ground. In any case, with the background that I have set in system settings, and this is the background to which my sessions consistantly boot, new desktops come up for the second or up to the third background with this initially set background. Then in the third or fourth desktop creation (I seldom go beyond four), the background for the new desktop, is one that I was using one or two months ago...

Creation of new internal delivery channel using AQ

Hi,
I wanted to route one of Trading partner data to a different queue.(no want to use existing queues - IP_IN /IP_OUT queue).
This needs to create a new delivery channel using AQ in B2B.
I have gone thru the steps & entered all entries, but I am not able to find any queues created in B2B schema.
Do I need to create a queue using PL/SL in B2B to make it available as internal delivery channel or this setup itself will create a queue in B2B?
PFA the entirs:
for transport parameters
- transport server (B2B server IP)
- Protocol as AQ
-URI - b2b.<uri_name> (name of Queue, wanted to create)
- Hostname
- Port

As mentioned by TH in the above post, first thing is to create the data type that is used for messages - IP_MESSAGE_TYPE. This data type will already be present in the B2B database and could be reused.
For a new data type you could do the following.

Once you have created a new Data type ( or are reusing the existing data type), you need to create Queue Table that will hold the Outbound and Inbound message queues. The existing Queue table is "IP_QTAB" which can again be reused.
For new Queue table you could do the following

Once we have the Queue Table that will hold the queues, we need to add and start the queues that are to be used for the inbound and outbound messages.

If you are reusing the queue table IP_QTAB for creation of new queues, then reference that for the queue_table in above commands.
You need to reference the queue_name eg. B2B.My_OUT_QUEUE in the B2B UI screen.

I've a special question regarding tax data proposal in the area of SAP Retaill - Creation of new article data.
We've distribution centers in different countries.
If I create a new article masterdata for a sales organization assigned to Austria and a distribution center
assigned to Italy I get the following tax data proposal (if I enter '1' in field MARA-TAKLV):
IT Italy MWST Output tax 1 Full tax
IT Italy LCIT VAT license Italy 1 Full tax -> error: the category LCIT does not define classification 1 (only 0)
I assume that the entry LCIT comes from table TSKM.(material taxes).
Now my question.
We don't need the entry LCIT. It is possible or it is the right way to delete the entry named before?
Or should we create a new entry?

Issue with ALV sceen called using BDC in new task and in background mode

Hi Gurus,
Need your expert advice. I am trying to call one transaction (IS AUTO - VELO) which has ALVs on screen. VELO is being called through BDC in NEW TASK in background. So, the new session is a Dialog session and SY-BATCH is initial here.
In two different scenarios, I am getting error at two different places:
a) As I can't call ALV directly, I am using docking container. This is giving issue during 'CREATE OBJECT' -> CONSTRUCTOR for cl_gui_alv_grid -> if offline( ) is initial. (AS SY-BATCH is initial) -> call method me->set_registered_events_internal exporting events = lt_events. -> call method get_registered_events importing events = lt_events. -> IF H_CONTROL IS INITIAL. RAISE CNTL_ERROR. ENDIF.
b) Call to OLE_FLUSH_CALL is happening, which is resulting into dump.
I tried to search SDN and google, but couldn't find the solution. Thanks for your help :).

I'm not sure what is eating up your system resources, but .wmv files
are considered to be a delivery format, and are not ideal for editing.
I have never tried to edit screen capture video from any source, but you might consider
upgrading to Expression Encoder 4 Pro (with codecs)... at least it includes H.264.

SOA/BPM/Human Tasks 11g -- add new task participant through Workflow API

Heya folks. Got a question that's been driving me nuts, hope you can help.
I have a bunch of Human Tasks in a BPMN process. Each task is pretty simple -- for assignment a single stage only; parallel approval; list of participants is passed in -- via the task payload -- as a comma-delimited list. When the task is initiated it produces a root task, and one child task for each participant. So, say we have participants "fgolfer,atreyvaud" we get three task objects: the "master" or root task and one each for fgolfer and atreyvaud.
Now what I want to do is add another approver (let's say "gfrog") -- i.e. create a new task for gfrog which is a child of the master task and leaves the tasks for fgolfer and atreyvaud as they are. As far as I can figure, this is NOT a Reassign nor an Ad-Hoc Route. Applying either of those to an existing task effectively removes the existing user from the task and assigns it to the new user.
On another track, if I programmatically create a new task (with initiateTask() from the Task service, using the values from an existing task), I seem to get a NEW master task with attendant child tasks, while leaving the existing master task and children.
Make sense? Neither of these outcomes is what I want.
Seems like this should be pretty simple but for the life of me I can't figure it out. I could create an FYI task or a todo task or a subtask but again this isn't what I want -- need to create a task with all the custom outcomes and such.

In case folks are playing along at home, I've yet to find a solution for this. Because I need to move forward with my project, I've decided I can't do it through the Workflow API and I'm taking a different route -- basically, triggering a custom task outcome which returns to the same Human Task in the BPMN flow, thus starting the task again. Before doing that I update the task's payload, which contains the task assignees.
I'm not happy with this, it seems like a nasty hack to overcome a limitation with the Workflow API.
Understand, though, I'm not saying this is impossible through the Workflow API, just that I haven't found a way to do it. I've spent 2-3 person weeks on this and it's time to move on.

Use of CALL FUNCTION - STARTING NEW TASK parameter_list.

To optimize the performance of teh above query I am planning to use call function CALL FUNCTION - STARTING NEW TASK .....
by spliting the above internal table gt_street_district into two internal tables and use the value of each internal table into two different queries and these queries will be put in call function - start new task ....so that these queries are run in different workprocess and thus improve the performance of the program.
Can you please let me know if this would be a good option and also how to implement the same.

nonsense! You should not try parallel processing for a non-optimized SELECT statement.
Better add the first key field of the WHERE condition as said above and check
+ whether the driver table is empfty
+ and whether there are duplicated entries
... And it is also a good idea to really use the SINGLE RECORD BUFFER, therefore you must write
field-symbol: <fs> type ...
LOOP AT gt_street_district ASSIGNING <fs>
   SELECT *
                INTO TABLE gt_adrstreet1
                FROM adrstreet
                WHERE counrty =
                 AND       strt_code = <fs>-strt_code.
ENDLOOP.
Then it will be extremely fast!

Call function starting new task - Issue with memory variables

Hi All,
From our OIL application we have a call to the core delivery update FM WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE starting new task.Before the call we are exporting a variable to memory and deep inside the FM we have an oil routine which checks the value of this variable to decide on further flow. But since the FM is called in new task the variable is not available here.
We cannot use the SET GET parameter also as this value can be different for each session.
Can anyone suggest how to set and get the parameter value in this flow.

To check whether the FM is running in new task or not - This is what I have tried (this may not be the best way), but it works fine.
1. The variable to check inside the called FM is SY-CPROG.
2. This variable will have value.
RS_TESTFRAME_CALL - If being checked from se37
Z / Y program - if called from the original z / y program (WITHOUT new task).
SAPMSSY1 - if being called using NEW TASK (and no debugging)

ABAP Dump when calling Function Module Starting New Task

Hi all. I have a tricky situation now, I am doing a POC on parallel processing.
I am getting an ABAP dump on the following Call Function line which is in class lcl_steer_114numc (See below for full program):

      CALLING me->finish ON END OF TASK.

However I get the following ABAP dump:

The function module only contains a wait statement to simulate parallel processing. It is strange that it dumps here, because when I change the FM call to another call that has been triggered successfully from other classes, it still produces the same ABAP dump.
The background of the Proof Of Concept is to see if I can get an event to trigger the next process that depends on the outcome of the previous process. Parallel processes are run in the start methods by calling RFC.

Well, the thing is I did manage to run 3 other Function Modules asynchronously succeesfully prior to that function call, with the same exact function call syntax. Further more, I have tried editing it with your suggestion but I get the exact same dump.

A resource assignment for new task during another task MS Project 2010

I would like to assing a new task during another task.
Resource A is assigned Task X from May 12th - May 16th. 5 hours per day.
I would like to assing new Task Y for May 14th. It will take 7 hours. So I would like to set up in MS Project 2010 as:
May 12th Task X: 5 hours
May 13th Task X:7 hours
May 14th Task Y:7 hours
May 15th Task X:8 hours
May 16th Task X:5 hours
I set up Task X for Resource A as from May 12th - May 16th working hours as 25 hours in gant chart.
Then I set up Task Y for Resource A as May 14th working hours as 7 hours in gant chart.
I see Resource is as follows.
May 12th Task X: 5 hours
May 13th Task X:5 hours
May 14th Task X:5 hours Task Y:7 hours -> Total 12 hours
May 15th Task X:5 hours
May 16th Task X:5 hours
Please let me know how I set up what I would like.

2 X options:
1) You may be tracking too granularly. A task should create something and then hand off to another task. in this case, you may as well just combine them into a single task for about a week or so. Most companies don't track hours per day
that granularly as well. I'd look to schedule by the week.
2) Split the tasks into multiple tasks and establish dependencies between them. Assign the resource to each task at different amounts of work.

Call function - New task

I would like to use the Call Function - New task for one of my requirments. Please suggest if I am not doing right.
My programs looping structure is:

Why am I thinking to use NEW TAEK is; when normally I call the BAPI its creates so many locks on the different different tables resulting LOCK table memory issue. So I thought to use the NEW TASK addition which would run a new session and while coming back to the calling program, would release all the locks. But I am not understanding how to use the NEW TASK perfectly and how to get the values (IT_RETURN) back from the new session to the calling program.
Can anybody send me the sample code where NEW TASK statement is being used and later from the new session values or Internal tables are coming back to the calling program.
This would be a great help.
