Creation of Radio Buttons
Hi Friends
Please be informed that we are using NWDeveloper Studio, would like to know how to create a "Radio Buttons". for example, Approved, Rejeccted and Re-submit on iView screens.
can any one guide me how to go about it?
Would apprreciate your help in this regard.
thanks
Prathik
HI Sudhakar,
You can try with HTMLB tag of RadioButton.
Better to post this qn in Portal content development.

Creation of Radio Buttons in subscreens inside a Tabstrip...
Hi ABAP Guns,
Can any body help me in creation of radio buttons inside a tabstrip...
If i select a radio button and click ok push button it has to call 2nd tabstrip else if
i select other radio button and click ok push button it has to call 3rd tabstrip...
Regards,
ArunHello Arun
Don't you think it is much easier that the user <b>directly </b>selects the tabstrip instead of going to a specific tabstrip, push a certain radiobutton followed by pushing a OK button in the application toolbar???

ArunI assume this is for a dynpro, not a report?
If so, then in your PBO you just need something like:
process before output.
module d9999_initialise. "set default RB in here first time through
module d9999_set_tabstrip. "set g_my_program & g_my_subscreen here
call subscreen subscreen_01
including
g_my_program
g_my_subscreen.
and then in "module d9999_set_tabstrip." just do a case statement on your radio button to determine which subscreen number should be displayed e.g.
g_my_program = 'Z_THIS_PROGRAM'. "change as needed!
case 'X'. "which radiobutton in group is selected
when GS_9999-RB_1.
g_my_subscreen = '9001'.
when GS_9999-RB_2.
g_my_subscreen = '9002'.
when GS_9999-RB_3.
g_my_subscreen = '9003'.
when GS_9999-RB_4.
g_my_subscreen = '9004'.
endcase.
Obviously the relevant variables will need to be defined as globals in your prorgam.

Dynamic creation of Radio Button Group
Hi,
I need to create a Radio Button Group dynamically and add Radio buttons to it.
I am able to create the Radio buttons dynamically. Could someone help me how to create Radio Button Groups.
I tried creating the Radio Button Group using the following code
DATA : lr_radiobuttongrp type REF TO CL_WD_RADIOBUTTON_GROUP_BY_IDX.
call method CL_WD_RADIOBUTTON_GROUP_BY_IDX=>NEW_RADIOBUTTON_GROUP_BY_IDX
EXPORTING
bind_texts = 'test'
RECEIVING
control = lr_radiobuttongrp.
cl_wd_matrix_head_data=>new_matrix_head_data( element = lr_radiobuttongrp ).
lr_container->add_child( lr_radiobuttongrp ).
But when I run it I am geting a dump "subnode viewname.ME does not exist".
Thanks,
Suvarna.
Edited by: Suvarna Chittor on Aug 12, 2008 12:10 PMwhat is 'test' in bind text parameter
you should provide the name in Capitals along with the node name,
if the node name is TEXTS and the context attribute under this node is TEXT then you have to pass
TEXTS.TEXT
also provide the VIEW parameter to the call

Issue in radio button group in module pool in infotype creation
Hi,
I have a custom infotype,where there are six radio buttons belonging to same group for different mode of payment.Issue is when user clicks a radiobutton,a subscreen opens .there are six different subscreens when user clicks on each of the six radio buttons.
Requirement is when user clicks one button ,one subscreen opens but the other radio buttons(whcih are eligible to be open) gets disabled .I have tried to handle the issue manually through coding ,but i think the issue is with the radiobutton grouping.
How to make the other radio buttons open for input even when the user has clicked on one button and the subscreen opens corresponding to the screen so that the imemediately ther user clicks on another radio button and get the corresponding subscreen opened for him.Pls advise.I have written a custom module in PBO section of my custom infotype.There i have written this code:-
LOOP AT SCREEN.
READ TABLE fp_it_payment_opt_open INTO wa_payment_opt_open WITH KEY scrname = screen-name.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
screen-input = c_input_on.
MODIFY SCREEN.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
The internal table it_payment_opt contains all the radio buttons and checkboxes and is populated when the radio buttons and checkboxes are turned input on while modifying the screen depending upon course of my price and personnel subarea.
While calling subscreen area in PBO,the radiobuttons get into a state of input-off automatically.so i have written a z-module after
the module hidden_data .
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
general infotype-independent operations
MODULE before_output.
CALL SUBSCREEN subscreen_empl INCLUDING empl_prog empl_dynnr.
CALL SUBSCREEN subscreen_header INCLUDING header_prog header_dynnr.
infotype specific operations
MODULE p9300.
CALL SUBSCREEN subscreen_area INCLUDING subscr_prog subscr_dynnr.
MODULE hidden_data.
module z_open_paymnt_optns.
My problem has been solved ,hence am closing the thread.Thanks to all of you. -

Form Radio Buttons or Checkboxes not created in Acrobat 9 Pro
If this needs to be placed in another forum, please just let me know.
I am using Acrobat 9 Pro - current version - 9.4.3.
I am using Word 2010
I am running Windows 7
I have created a simple form in Word. Using the guidelines from the white paper - Acro9_designforms.pdf provided by Adobe, those fields where I want a radio button insert a checkbox instead when running the Form Wizard in Acrobat.
My sample is exactly the same as in the sample used in the white paper.
I used a circle symbol from the Wingdings font, as recommended by Adobe.
Salutation
O Mr.
O Ms.
O Dr.
The end result is still a checkbox, even though it is a circle in the display.
What am I doing wrong?
I do not want to use LiveCycle Designer, as once the form is created in LiveCycle, the form fields can no longer be edited in Acrobat and I must maintain the ability to edit in Acrobat.
Thank you for your assistance.Oh, the Wizard is a fabulous tool for basic forms. And, since Adobe has given an extensive list of 'guidelines', which is what I am testing, I thought I would ask for feedback from those who do use it and from those who have had success in using it.
The Wizard is mostly terrific, if you use the guidelines when setting up the source document. It saves a lot of manual field creation and fixing later. This one, though, is not working as expected. So, I might be doing something wrong and the responses I seek are from those who have had success with the feature - not with manual workarounds, which of course we know can be achieved. :)
Nothing is "magic". I don't think either I or Adobe are implying that it should be. However, when they state a feature works in a certain way and I am not getting those results, I like to explore why. Silly me. hahaha
The example I gave in my initial post is the only thing in the form, as I am testing the features for when I present this topic.
I am merely trying to determine if others are having success (or not) when creating their document initially in Word (for example), using the guidelines that Adobe states for Radio Buttons being created. If there is a certain font that someone is having success with other than those stated by Adobe, I would love to know. For me, so far, it is not. If it's user error, then I would love to know from someone who has had success.
Here is what Adobe states as part of their Radio Button form field guidelines when setting up a document in Word, for example:
§ Use circular objects or numbered buttons to in a single row or column to indicate radio buttons.
§ Use group labels to the left of or above each radio button group – otherwise they will default to check boxes. Field names are determined from the group labels and individual button labels from the text to the right of each location.
§ Use the following text labels to have radio buttons created automatically: Yes/No, M/F, Male/Female, Mr/Mrs/Miss/Dr.
§ Use one of the following group labels to have radio buttons created automatically: Salutation, Sex, Occupation.

Standard Radio Button Tabs missing in Material Master
Dear Experets,
We have Upgraded from 4.5 to Ecc 6.0. We are finding an issue in Material Master.
When we create a material with the required selected Views and maintaing the datas like Basic Data and other Views, we usually have standard Radio button Tab to shift over from one View to another View. I am not able to find those Views either in Creation of Material Master, Or Change or Display ?
Can any one suggest on this? Is there any Patch is missing or any configuration setting has to be carried out ?
Please Suggest your valuable inputs.

Using an array to assign values to 36 radio buttons
Okay, here's another doozy for y'all.
As some of you know, I'm trying to create a character creation program for D&D. When we roll ability scores, we roll 3 sets of 6 rolls, rolling 4 six-sided dice, rerolling 1s and dropping the lowest number, then add the highest 3 rolled numbers together.
Great! Got that part done!
The next thing I'm having some issues with is transferring those numbers to radio button text property. What I have done is created a form that has the rolled values in listboxes so the user can see what was rolled. They can only choose one "set"
of rolls, so each set of 6 rolls is in a separate listbox. I can get the values from the listbox to an array, but I can't figure out how to get the values from an array to the radio buttons on the next form in the program.
The next form in the program has 6 group boxes, each labeled with a different ability score name (ie: Strength, Dexterity, etc.). Also in each group box are 6 radio buttons. Each radio button in each group box needs to have the same values. For example,
the first listed radio button in each group box needs to have the first value listed in the list box on the previous page. The second listed radio button in each group box needs to have the second value listed in the list box, and so on. I want it
to automatically load, but I'll settle for ANY load at the moment!
The other thing is that I don't want to write 36 lines of code for each group box's radio buttons! I would like to be able to populate the values with a loop. So, the biggest question is how to create an array containing all 36 radio buttons, then assign
my list box values to them according to their position in the multidimensional array.
Here is a tidbit so you'll have an idea what I'm looking at.
list box 1 has values 17, 18, 8, 12, 15, and 13. I want the radio buttons in each group box on the second form to be 17 for the 1st radio button, 18 for the 2nd radio button, 8 for the 3rd radio button, 12 for the 4th radio button, 15 for the 5th radio
button, and 13 for the 6th radio button.
Any ideas?The array of radio buttons:
radGr1_1
radGr1_2
radGr1_3
radGr1_4
radGr1_5
radGr1_6
radGr2_1
radGr2_2
radGr2_3
radGr2_4
radGr2_5
radGr2_6
radGr3_1
radGr3_2
radGr3_3
radGr3_4
radGr3_5
radGr3_6
radGr4_1
radGr4_2
radGr4_3
radGr4_4
radGr4_5
radGr4_6
radGr5_1
radGr5_2
radGr5_3
radGr5_4
radGr5_5
radGr5_6
radGr6_1
radGr6_2
radGr6_3
radGr6_4
radGr6_5
radGr6_6
Those listed with “radGr1” are in the first group box labeled grpST, “radGr2” are in the second group box labeled grpDX, and so on (grpCN, grpIQ, grpWS, grpCH). What I want the code to do is change the labels of the radio buttons so that the text displayed
in everything with a suffix of “_1” is filled with the first number in the selected listbox. For example, if I select the first list box, the other 2 are cleared and only the 6 numbers in the first one are used for the rest of the program. If those numbers
are 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 11, then everything with _1 at the end should have “12”, everything with _2 should have “13”, and so on. What I don’t want to have to do is initialize 36 elements, then have 6 different selections for each group box. I tried to
attach an image, but it wouldn’t let me…something about verifying my account or something…
Can I suggest a different layout? It seems like the status selection process is over-complicating the code... please consider this form layout:
Once the user has selected the set of rolls they want you use, you can then just work with that single listbox. The radio buttons let them select a particular stat and the listbox lets them select a value. The "<-" button then assigns
the selected value to the selected stat, and removes it from the listbox. The "->" button clears the selected stat and returns the value to the listbox. The code is something like:
Public Class Form1
Private Sub SetButton_Click(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles SetButton.Click

This may not suit your requirements but I thought it was at least worth considering an alternate design that would be much easier to implement.

Use of differnet radio buttons in QA07
Hi All ,
What the basic difference between below radio buttons in qa07 :
Lot creation only : it will create lot only
To insp. stock at lot creation : It will create lot and post qty from un restricted to restricted
Block Batch at lot creation : It will create lot and block batch
but what's the use of To insp. stock at inp. date and block batch at inspection date .and how they are different from options above them
REgardsI'm pretty confident in what it is doing. :-)
The idea is that you use the "initial days" to create a window of dates to look for batches needing reinspection based on the next inspection date. If this is window is just 1 or null it really has no affect regardless of what you pick.
The idea is to allow creation of the inspection lots well in advance of their actual inspection date. To do this you select "to insp. stock at inspection date" You don't want to remove the stock from UR and make it unavailable for use or sale but you want to start inspection. Than, IF you have not processed or sold the lot by the inspection date, or have not completed the UD on the 09 lot, the transfer document is created and the stock is moved to QI stock and linked to the insp. lot. You should be running the program every day in this case. Ideally, you complete the re-inspection without the stock ever leaving UR.
If you use "to insp. stock at lot creation" and you use an initial window of 60 days, than you will still create the lot 60 days in advance but the stock goes to QI and is unavailable to sell or use. Some folks like this because they don't want to ship something out to a customer that only has a minimum amount of time left on it.
It's simply your client's preference as to how they do it.
