Creation of reservation

Hi guru
When I am creating a reservation through TC MB21, it picks up the GL code assigned to the material but the commitment item is not changing but remains the same as is in the first line item.
Kindly suggest what additional changes needs to be done so that the commitment item is derived from the GL code.

Avoiding creation of reservation during creation of production order

Dear gurus,
when we create a production order for a semifinshed material there are reservations created for the raw material used to produce the semifinished material ,what if I what to avoid the creation of material reservation .
I have tried out with setting in opl8 wherein we specify the creation of reservation on release of production order or on creation or never but it is not working otu please if u can help me out.
I what to create manual reservation for production orders......Is it possible?

.As long as , you have BOM components are in stock , system will generate reservation for them when you create Production order where as if any of the component is not available in the stock then it will generate PR based on the material master set up because when you are creating production order or creating planned order through MRP , system performs material availablity check in the back ground and generate either reservation or PR automatically .
Secondly, you can not create Manual Reservation , See the Std SAP message .Message no. M7 126
You entered an order whose category only permits automatic reservations. The following order categories do not allow manual reservations:
10 PP production order
20 network
30 maintenance order
40 batch order (process manufacturing)
50 inspection lot.
So conclusion is you can't stop creation of reseravtion .Curious to know why you do not want reservation for PO ?

Stop creation of reservations against the sales order

Hi
I have a situation here can any body help me out?
For a single material there are two types of sales orders like export and local sales.
Now as the sales orders are large enough and can deliver over the six month or more.
This sales order creates large quantity reservation and due to this other sales order not confirmed although stock is available.
Now we want to stop creation of reservations against the sales order as well as availability check in sales order (availably check may be able to by pass using item category).
But we still want reservation against other production orders.(where the material as BOM component)

Stop Creation of reservation while creating process orders....

Hi All,
THe requirement is to stop creation of reservations on creation of process order.
have done the configuration in order type dependent parameters to stop creation of reservations on creation of process order.
After this configuration the reservations have stopped appearing in the MMBE for components although there are reservation created.
The above case appears only when i am creating process orders manually through transaction COR1....But when process orders are created by converting Plann order then in this case although the order type is same there are reservations visible in the MMBE transaction for the components.
Request you to please guide through the reason for creation of reservations when a process order is created by converting a plan order.

Hi All,
We are using the planning strategy 40 where in we produce only when the sales order is received.
For a material we are using SPK as stock transfer from other plant.
The requirement for this material is triggered due to 1)dependent reservation(as this component is used as a component to manufacture other material 2)Sales requirement for this material.
On MRP the requirement is transferred to the supplying plant and we receive the stock in our plant.
Now this stock is the total of requirement generated to fulfill the sales requirement and the consumption requirement.We cannot differentiate which stock was called in for sales order and which for fulfilling the production requirement of the superior material.
Whenever a production order for the superior material is created reservation for this material are created because of which the stock will not be available for creation of deliveries for sales orders.(This is because of the av checking rule)
Is there a way to differentiate these stocks.
We thought about creating MRP areas to manage the requirements differently but this will lead to creation storage locations and thus affect our global template.
Thus we thought of blocking of creation of reservations......this we thought as all the materials are already available by the time the process order is created so there is no point in creating reservations for the same.
Let m know if you need any further information .......Help me providing a proper solution to the issue.

Prevent creation of reservation for selected components on Production order

Hello all,
I am aware that the production order reservation creation is dependant on the order type, but is it possible to avoid the reservation creation for few components on the order ? Any techincal way? We want to issue our components to a different batch than the one reserved during the production order creation.

Your material is get reserved for Production order as per the Order start date & Order release. What you can do is make the start date of the Production order & release it. If any other production order are already there & you can re set the ATP of that production order.
Say there is one production order starting 2 days after & your all raw material is blocked for this production order. And the other production is having date after this now you want to give ATP from 1st order to 2nd order. For this 1st make the start date of 2nd prod order before 1st. Then Go to COMAC select both Prod Ord & GO ATP with check reset ATP. You see that ATP is passed from 1st Prd order tp 2nd.

Automatic creation of Reservation for Service Order (Return and Repair)

Hi, Looking for your valuable help on Creation of Automatic Reservation
I am working on Return and Repair process at Plant.
1) So far
Service Notification > Repair Order > Return Delivery > Service order . has been done.
now requirement is when i am saving the service order for the Object (Fisnished Goods), in which components required for servicing of material are maintained, when i will save the order a Reservation for the same needs to be reaised to Warehouse automatically.
2) In Repair order all operation and components are not reflecting when i am selecting the line item and going to EDIT > Display Range > All Items in VA02 for which i need to do DP90.(Resource Related Billing)

Issue reg creation of reservation

Hi all,
I am trying to create a reservation.
I have given a plant and storage location for a material by checking in table mard.
for some reason ,its says storage location not supported even though the mard
table has the same plant and storage location for that material.
it sometimes says only 1 quantity available.
what should i do in order to increase the quantity available.

Material status blocks creation of reservation in SRM

Dear All,
We observe the following behavior in our SRM (5.0) System:
If we create a caddy for a product that has the Cross-Plant Material Status : 04 (Material master, view Basic Data 1) in the Backend-System, the reservation can not be created. There is a message indicating, that it is not possible to purchase the product.
If we create the reservation for the same product direct in the Backen-System, there is no problem.
This is OK, if we do external procurement, but internal procurement should not be blocked in SRM.
Do you know where we have to customize this message?

not possible to purchase the product --
is it having a purchasing view in ECC .
If you did not pull this materials in to SRM , how can you procure from SRM web portal.
first you need to select this material via internal goods and services in the srm web portal . then only you can order a material from SRM.
if you pulled a material from ECC to SRM and it must be in COMMPR01.

Restricting cost center selection during creation of reservation

Hi,
We had a requirement to restrict the selection of cost center during creating a reservation. An user should be restricted in selecting any other cost center which does not belongs to his department. Since the restriction was not possible in standared/available authorization objects, we have created a customized object thru SU2. The Z object is available in role maintenance (PFCG) which we assigned to the object class MM_B and maintained the relevant cost center value.
Still it is not giving the desired result as selection of any aother cost center (which is mot mentioned under the Z object) is permitted while creating a reservation.

How to manipulate the screens from transaction MB21 to avoid your
issue?
a) by transaction OXK1:
In customizing transaction 'OXK1' you can see which screens are
available and in which order they are selected by the program.
This transaction also allows to add customer-defined screens, to
change the priorities and to de-activate standard screens.
So if you create yourself a screen with all the fields you
would like to see you can assign it in OXK1. You would have to
set the priority key so that program would choose your screen rather
than the standard screens.
Transaction OXK1:
The coding block searches through the existing subscreens for the one
which fulfills most requirements. The "Priority" serves as fine tuning
in the search procedure: 1 is the highest priority, 9 the lowest.
The system searches for the most suitable subscreen according to the
following strategy:
First, it searches for subscreens containing all the account assignment
fields required. If there is more than one, it selects the one with the
highest priority.
If this is unsuccessful, the system then looks for subscreens containing
all of the obligatory fields, or as many of them as possible. The
subscreen containing the most obligatory fields is selected.
If two subscreens contain the same number of obligatory fields, then the
one containing the most required account assignment fields is selected.
If there is still more than one, the selection is made according to the
priority.
b) by user exit or BADI
Enhancement to manipulate reservation data is MBCF0007 and the user
exit is EXIT_SAPMM07R_001.

Creation of Reservation for planned order

Hi Team,
Is it possible to create reservation for planned orders after MRP run?
My opinion was the reservation can only be created with reference to production order after MRP. The reservation can not be created with reference to planne dorders after MRP run because planned orders are intermident document which will not exist in the system always. The planned order details will not be available in the system once it get converted into production order.
How the reservation will be processed which was created with reference to planned order after converting the planned order to production order?

Dear PSK,
In a typical discrete manufacturing setup production orders are the promised receipt for which reservations gets generated as
soon a production order is created.But only if the order is released goods movements can be posted against the reservation
details through MIGO/MB1A for 261 movement.
It's not required to create any reservation at the planned order level or which may not help you in any means to your business.
But however in a REM scenario MF60 is used to create stock transfer reservations for 311 movement where planned orders
are used for production backflush.To explain in detail even without any planned orders you can do a stock transfer reservation
for a production quantity.
Check and revert back.

Production order creation without reservation

I will have to create production order without reference to reservation.
reservation should not display in production order.
We are not using MRP.
So please suggest me any way if possible.

Dear Abhi,
When you create production order, the component should be reserved then only you can process your order. So the functionality of creating reservation is that only.
When you run MRP, planned order is created. The dependent requirements will be created for components of that planned order. When you convert planned order to production order, the dependent reqmts becomes reservation.
If you make any changes in quantity of production order, simultaneously the reservation quantities are changed. If you delete or put TECO the reservation will be deleted.
This is the functionality of reservation.

Stop creation of reservation if no plant stock is available

in cj20n, when we create reservation , the system should check stock is availavle or not.
if on stock is available , then system should block.
I have done some setting through checking rule, checking control, but not working. Do i go for ABAP development.

Click on dynamic selection button- PR-
Click on execute..
Now you import this file to your excell sheet by clicking on System-List-Save- Local file- Spread sheet..
Now you will get all quantities in excell sheet and here you can do the analysis.

Automatic storage location view creation in maintenace order (IW31)

Hello,
Seems like I need some help.
Have configured automatic storage location view creation for GR and reservation. Configured movement types are 101, 201, 261. While creating reservations (201, 261 mvmnt. types) with mb21 the sloc view is automatically created in material master, and everything seems fine.
But in iw31 when I specify material number and sloc in a Components tab, I get an error message CO312: "The storage location data is not created". Automatic reservation is not created, and maintenance order can not be saved. Movement type 261 is used for automatic reservations for the maintenance order.
If I configure message CO312 as a (W)arning message, then it allows me to save the order and reservation, but sloc view in material master still is not created. Think that's not good and may lead to MRP issues.
How can I configure automatic sloc view creation in iw31? Is that possible?

Hi,
The customization required for Automatic Storage location creation at reservation are:
Goto : SPRO -> MM -> inventory Management and physical inventory -> Goods issue/ Transfer posting -> Create storage location automatically
first of all go to Plant and tick the automatic Storage location creation for the Plant. After that goto Movement type and tick the automatic Storage location for movement type 261.

Can you try maintaining applicant data thro' PB30 once and let me know if you are still getting the same error.
When you are executing transaction code PB30, please choose the UGR and molga as per your country.
