Now I have to create rule files to update these aliases.
Please elaborate, so that it will be clear for me. As I am new, please make it up with steps.

You dont need to create a rule file. You can create a alias table like this in a notapad
    $ALT_NAME 'First'
    0000002452 TA
    0000002459 HJ
    0000002460 HK
    0000002462 HM
    0000004012 CB
    0000004015 EA
    0000004025 BA
    0000004070 DA
    0000004087 GC
    0000004088 FD
    0000006231 CM
    0000009103 WP
    0000009106 WV
    0000009126 WW
    0000008458 NH
    0000008475 NY
    0000008481 NF
    0000008483 NG
    $END
and Save it as First.alt and You can import like this
1)Open the outline in edit mode.
2)Select Outline > Import alias table.
3)In the Open dialog box, select the alias table import file.
    4)Click OK.
go to outline properties and the new alias table must be made Set as active to view the alias names.
you can create and import up to 10 alias tables

  • Project settlement to CO-PA and BAdI for automatic creation of rules

    Hello SAP experts!
I have managed to implement settlement rule strategy to CO-PA for sales project WBS-elements, which automatically creates the settlement rules for WBS-elements with billing indicator. One or more sales order items are assigned to the WBS-elements. When the system derives settlement rules, it generates profitability segments that contain the characteristic values of the WBS elements and the sales orders assigned to them. The problem is, that only one single settlement receiver is determined for each WBS-element. And if more that one sales order item is assigned to the same WBS-element only those characteristics are copied to the settlement rule that are same in all sales order items.
For example; it products are different in all sales order items, the automatically created settlement rule does not contain the characteristic value product or neighter other caracteristics derived from product.
Do You have experience of using BAdI for influencing the generation of settlement rules? What it actually makes possible?
    Br, Nina

    Dear Waman,
thank you for your reply !
Yet - this still does not solve our problem. In that note (and also in the related note 201445) there is no valuable information included concerning transaction currency:
Our WBS elements (and also other cost objects, e.g. sales order items) are being debited in all of the three currencies.....but the credit (during settlement) only takes place in two of them:  object and CO area currency.
I really appreciate additional help on this. It would be hard to believe that we are the only SAP customer having this kind of problem.

    Thomas

  • Creation of  rules index failing with ORA-01652 exception

I am trying to create a rules index in the following way,
    BEGIN
         SEM_APIS.CREATE_RULES_INDEX(
         'APPS_RDF_IDX',
         SEM_Models('SEMANTIC_SEARCH_MODEL'),
         SEM_Rulebases('OWLPRIME','SEMANTIC_SEARCH_RULEBASE'));
    END;
with semantic_search_rulebase having about 5 rules and with 28839 triples in the model.
When I am trying to run create index it fails after a long time by throwing exception
ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP
though TEMP is allocated 5GB memory.
Please clarify me on the following questions,
    1. How much TEMP space should be allocated if the triples are going to be in millions and rules at about 10 to 100 and why is indexing taking a lot of TEMP space with a less amount of triples.
    2. How much time normally would create rules index take with triples of size from thousands to millions.
    3. How to make the create rules index run faster.
    Thanks,
    Phani

First of all, please start using create_entailment API instead of that create_rules_index API.
Regarding 1), 5GB temp space is not a whole lot.
It is hard to say exactly how much you need because you have user defined rules.
Regarding 2) and 3), please check out the following inference best practice paper.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/semantic_technologies/pdf/semantic_infer_bestprac_wp.pdf
Also, if you like, please post your rules and I may be able to help you model
some of your rules using native OWL constructs.

  • Dynamic creation of rules

    Hi
I have to create a UI in which i need to create a table which column name same as DB column name and the table will be populated
from the DB, now I have to give user ability to create their own temporary column with some specified rules for exp
user create a temp column 'RemainingLoanAmount' by specifying the rule like that
    if(LoanAmount > 0){
    return 0;
    }else{
    return LoanAmount-LoanAmountAlreadypaid;
how to execute these kind of functions/rules.

I suggest you create a program without the rule first, then it will become more obvious how to add such a column.

  • Doubt about the creation MARS rule ??

    Hello,
My question is the following one: I have a double authentication system (already created) to which a Juniper FW as well as a Cisco ASA 8.0 equipment are related as (Secure Access). This is the process:
    a)      From his pc, the user accesses an authentication website. It is in the FW Juniper (that information is verified in a radiator).
    b)      If the identity is the correct one, the second step would be in the Cisco ASA, in which, to validate, the user has to enter his user LDAP.
My idea is to register those events (rule) in Cisco MARS in the best/clear way possible. The equipments are already configured to inform to the MARS, and they are already included.
    Thanks in Advance.

Please clarify what do you intend to accomplist with this rule, the post is not clear.

  • Workflow: Creation of Rule

    Hi Everybody,
I was trying to create a responsibility rule. i have created a container element for storing the vendor names. now when i was creating the responsibility i wanted to catch all the users (reponsible to enter the vendor details) depending on the vendor name letter.
At present Iam giving the value as * in From field and priority as 01 to catch all relevant users.
i was referencing the vendor names in container element to ABAP dic : ADDR1_DATA and field as NAME1.
Now when i save the responsibility iam getting an error that 'Responsibilities do not support any structures as container elemnts'.
Also when i checkes the container elemnt i was referencing AD_NAME1 Data type automatically even if i refenced to ABAp dic. in the begining . so could anyone help me to create this responsibility in the rule.

    Hi Sanjay,
There could be a few reasons.
When you are using rule based workflow you must have a Badi for your workflow.Make sure the content in your Badi is correct and activated. Second possibility is that you did not maintain the service in your rule based workflow or filter in your BADI. The 3 rd possibility is that there is something wrong in your decision tables or that you perhaps forgot to activate all the decision tables.
    Hope you find the problem

  • Dbms_rule_adm does not allow creation of rule condition 4000 characters

The underlying sotrage table for streams rules has a CLOB assigned as a datatype for storing rule condition. Unfortunately, the dbms_rule_adm package has procedures that take in varchar2 which implies that the rule condition cannot be more than 4000 characters.
Also, is it possible to create a capture process specifing a rule condition that the event be captured only when certain columns of the table are modified. I've successfully done this by associating a rule set with a capture process and the rule set will contain :dml based WHERE clause. The only issue here is that if I have a table with many columns the rule condition will be more than 4000 characters. I've also tried to call a pl/sql function in the rule condition to perform the where clause operation, but the capture process stops evaluating the rule condition.
    Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a bug to me (or limitation, may be ;).
The rule 'condition' column should have been a CLOB in those procedures rather than VARCHAR2.
    Have you contacted Oracle Support?
I would love to know how you resolve this issues.
    Thanks.

  • Smart Playlist Creation Question - Rule Parameters Issue

I want to have newly imported songs go automatically into a playlist (Recently Added), from which I can move them into a playlist of their own. I then want to be able to CLEAR the Recently Added playlist so that I can then import a SECOND group of songs which will automatically go into the Recently Added playlist, where they will be the ONLY songs there because the first group of songs will have been CLEARED.
I inadvertantly deleted my Recently Added playlist, so that is not available to me - I have to, in effect, create my own Recently Added playlist.
The problem I am having has to do with the Smart Playlist Rule Parameters needed to accomplish what I am trying to do. I have been able to set up a smart playlist that receives newly imported songs automatically. However, I seem to be unable to CLEAR the songs from the smart playlist to make way for a SECOND group of newly imported songs.
I thought I could get the job done by simply deleting the entire Smart Playlist that contained the first group of songs, and then creating a new Smart Playlist to receive the second group. You can do that - but the problem is that the minimum time you are allowed to assign is one day. This means that when the second group of songs goes into the second smart playlist, it will also "grab up" and include the FIRST group of songs, assuming that the groups of songs are all being imported on the same day. I don't want to limit myself to importing only one group of songs per 24-hour period.
(When I import groups of songs, I import them in very, very large groups, which is why I want to be able to deal with them in individual groups, rather than having to sort through the larger, general Library of tunes in order to put them into their own playlists.)
It seems to me the answer lies in being able to set up a Rules Parameter that shortens the time involved from one day to something like 15 minutes or so. I don't know how to do that, even assuming that it can be done.
Or, perhaps, someone might have another suggestion that would help me accomplish my goal here.
Any and all thoughts will be much appreciated!

    ed2345 wrote:
You can use playlist membership as a criterion in a Smart Playlist.
So if the list you are moving them to is "SecondPlaylist" (or whatever you wish to call it) then add a rule to your custom-tailored Recently Added that states "Playlist" "is not" "SecondPlaylist."
Not sure I am getting this. You understand that I am IMPORTING new files into iTunes - I am not moving already imported files into a playlist.
I can create a smart playlist with a Rule of: Playlist/is not/recently added (where "recently added" is the playlist I previously used to set aside the last group of songs imported into the music library). But when I click on OK to set it up, then I have to name it. And when I give it a name ("current load," for example) and confirm the name, suddenly, "current load" is filled with the last group of imported files. Don't ask me why - but that's what happened.
    Any other thoughts? Anyone?
