i installed Newweaver snekapeakpreview(Java) in my system
when i tried to create a new user other than admin , user is created but
when i logged as newly created user it showing password has expired please
advise me to rectify this problem
second is
when i try to add iviews to roles which i created its showing popup
menu but it doesn't have the option add iview to role
iam unable to understand where im going wrong

SECATT - Mass creation of users with different assigned roles

Hello! I've been tasked with creating an eCATT to do a mass creation of users and each user will have a different role assigned (besides the general roles). We're doing this to test out the different roles we have created. I've done some searching through the forums and found some different ideas but I'm not sure they are exactly what I need. One suggestion was to use SU10 to make the role assignement but I'm guessing I would still need to setup a parameter for each role so I would initially need to know how many roles would be entered. I would like for the eCATT to be able to handle assigning multiple roles to a user with each user possibly getting a different number of roles. Would anyone be able to suggest a way to assign different roles to different users through an eCATT?

Hi Wendy,
To create users, maybe SU01 or SU10 can be used. To assign users to a role, maybe you can try with PFCG.
SU01 and SU10 have the view from the user - for each user, different roles can be selected and assigned to that user.
PFCG has the view of roles - for each role, different users can be selected and assigned to that role.
Hence if you know which roles should be assigned to which users, PFCG might be easier.

Did anyone have an answer to this? I've used tools with other directories that permitted a bulk add or a flat file dirsync that allowed a CSV file to add accounts. I would be interested if someone has done this for portal 6.2 or 6.X.

Creation of user mysites under different managed paths

Regarding creation of user Mysites, can two users have different mysites under two different managed paths?
The scenario for my case is like this:
I've a SharePoint 2013 farm attached to a domain contosso.com. Under that AD, I've created two different OUs (Organizational Units), say org1.local and org2.local. Two users are created under the OUs, the usernames being [email protected] and [email protected]
In my SharePoint 2013 farm I've created a Web Application, say SharePoint - 80, to host the MySite Host Site Collections. I've also created two managed paths under SharePoint - 80, say, /personal and /sites.
Now I want to create two user mysites, for the users created above. My question is that can we form the urls for the user mysites as below:
http://HostSiteCollection1/personal/user1_org1_local (for user1 of OU org1.local) and
http://HostSiteCollection2/sites/user1_org2_local (for user1 of OU org2.local)
Please suggest as we are totally stuck.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wants to create different MySites under different managed paths.
We can create different managed paths for different MySites for UPA in partitioned mode.
Harbar has written a good blog about creating the MySite host using that same multi-tenant setup.

Specifically, you use Set-SPSiteSubscriptionConfig to point to a particular OU for user accounts.
Next, you create a site using New-SPSite bound to that subscription for your MySite Host (e.g. New-SPSite

Installation error during creation of user SAPJSF

i'm performing SOLMAN installation and the installation stops in "Import Abap" step with problem creating the SAPJSF user. Several posts regarding the same error did not helped. When the sapinst is trying to create the SAPJSF user, i notice that the DB2 service in Windows services changes from "started" to "stopped"

Error during creation of user

Hi!
I am using USERS_GEN to generate a user in organizational structure from an existing SU01 user. When I first did this it worked fine. After that we removed the user from the org.structure. Now when we try to generate it again from USERS_GEN we get the message "Error during creation of user....central person already exists".
When I look at that CP I see that is already exists. I need to create a position under an org. unit and I need the already created CP to be allocated to that position.
How do I do that?

Which SRM version are you in ?
However you can delete the CP via Function module HR_CENTRALPERSON_DELETE but this central persons are stored in HRP1001 table .

Creation of user using su10

Hello gurus,
we can create a new user ID using su10 apart from su01. What is the difference that we can potentially face when we create using su10. Is there any disadvantage by creating this.

SU01 is used for Individual user creation and user specific address data maitained.
SU10 is for mass create/chage users, IF all users are idetical or you want change very idetical for all users than use SU10. However user specific details such as First name, Last name, Functions, Emails and so forth is not possible to maintain for individual user in SU10. More over if License type for each user is different in each user than you need to maintain individually.
All parameter and defualt data should be identical if SU10 used other wise you need to maintain separatly for each one in SU01, if not maitained by user throough SU3.
You can configure the LDAP from AD to SAP for solving some the points above.

AppServer: problems trying to add users to roles in security dialog

I'm trying to learn J2EE using AppServer. My current example has a client accessing
an entity bean. I want two classes of user - Reader, and Updater. Most methods
of Home and Remote are accessible to both classes, a few are restricted to users
in Updater role. I'm currently having problems adding users to roles in deploytool.
I have defined users using the Admin client.
I have implemented and test run client and entity bean without security restrictions, it works.
I have defined roles associated with the application.
I have allocated roles to every method in Home and Remote interface of bean.
I have extracted the generated XML file and checked the <assembly-descriptor> section and
it appears that all roles and role descriptions are defined as required.
deploytool lets me use the "Security Role Mapping" dialog, I can select either of my roles and
try "Add user to role" - subsequent dialog shows my users and allows me to "Map user to role" -
but selected user does NOT appear in the user names panel.
What am I doing wrong or what am I omitting? Hints please!

I looked in the Sun file you mentioned and found the users were defined.
When I restarted AppServer and deploytool, the users were shown in the appropriate
panel.
There is probably some minor bug in deploytool that causes the User Panel not
to be updated as it should be after a user has been added to a role.

How to use the user and role API's and where to use it

I have configured SSO for my UCM11g. Now my application authenticates through the Oracle SSO login page. Currently it is working with SQL authenticator.
Now, i have to use LDAP authenticator. when i will configure the LDAP authenticator, i have to use the user and role API's to fetch the user profile information from LDAP. i have got the API's which will be used to fetch the respected information, but i am not getting as where i will write those java programs and how this API will be used in my application. what settings i need to do on it so that application uses the API's. ?
Please can anyone help me on this.

Whether the function is not supported in the GP? If so, I have to config two organizational structure: in the R/3 and in the Portal. I don't think our customer don't receipt this solution.

I meet two question when I learn the GP.
The first:
This document don't tell me how to config the member framework of the company. After I design the GP, I have to config the user and role in the runtime for executing. I hope I can use the WDA(webdynpro for java or webdynpro for java) to implement to config the user for executing in the runtime. Thus, the customer don't config the user when runing the GP. But I don't know how to do this.
I need a document guide step by step to tell me how to do this.
The second:
If I use the workflow in the GP, I have to install and config the NWDI(Netweaver Development Infrastructure). Now I have installed the NWDI, but I don't know config it so that I can download it to my machine for develop the workfolw in the GP.
Do you give me some hints? Thanks a lot.

Can't grant privilege on column to user via role?

From what I read in the docs I should be able to create a role that has UPDATE privs on a column of a table, and then grant that role to a user, who should be able to update the column of the table. I get "insufficient privileges" when I try that, although it works as advertised if I grant directly to the user. Am I mis-reading the docs?
Session GAFF:

Most likely role foo2_u_f2 is not a default role for user play. Initially, when user is created default role is set to ALL. Later it can be changed to NONE or a set of roles. Login as play and issue:
select * from session_roles
/I bet you will not see foo2_u_f2. Then issue:
select granted_role,default_role from user_role_privs
/That will give you a list of user play default roles. You can either issue:
set role foo2_u_f2
/This will enable foo2_u_f2 role in current session. Or you can login as privileged user and issue ALTER USER DEFUALT ROLE ...,foo2_u_f2.
