  • Unable to make Postal code as required field in Vendor master creation

    Hi,
    We have a requirement of making Postal code (POST_CODE1) field under street address of new vendor master creation/change as a required field.
    In the configuration settings of vendor account group (OBD3), SAP provided Postal code City combined as only one field.
    Even after making the Postal code&City field as required in the configuration of a particular Vendor group (OBD3), the system is allowing to create new vendor master under that particular group with out the input of Postal code.
    The system only making the city (CITY1) as required filed but not the Postal code (POST_CODE1) even after setting Postal code&City field as required in OBD3.
    Could you please provide  the activities to be performed apart from the above so as to make Postal code as required filed at the time of the vendor master creation/change
    Regards
    Mani Prasad

    Yes, it is country specific. It will affect in vendor masters as well Customer masters.
    You have two options now :
    Create a Transaction variant using SHD0 and Make Postal code field as required and create a custom transaction code in SE93 (Transaction with Variant (Variant transaction) and assign here and save. Your requirement will be fulfilled.
    Else you can go for Enhancement using EXIT_SAPMF02K_001 Vendors: User Exit for Checks prior to Saving
    The following user exits exist for vendor master records:
    o   Check entered data before saving
    Please refer to the interface description of the function module to see which data is available.
    If we found any other solution we will let you know the same.

  • How to configure a required field in the Vendor Account Creation?

    Hello,
    Good day to all!
    Please kindly help me change the set up for Transaction FK01: Create Vendor. I need to set the field for Withholding Tax Number as a 'Required' field during creation of vendor account for local vendors only. How can I be able to do that? Please advise.
    Thank you so much in advance..

    This should have been posted in the SCM forum. Anyway, here is the path in config(tcode SPRO).
    Implementation Guide for R/3 Customizing (IMG)
    -->Financial Accounting
       -->Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
          -->Vendor Accounts
             -->Master Records
                -->Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Records
                   -->Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Vendors)
    Once you choose this option, you will be presented with a screen where you have to choose an account group and click the display icon. In the next screen, under the 'Edit Status' section, double click on 'Company Code Data' and then in the next screen double click on 'W/holding tax data, w/h tax 2'. Here you can change the attributes to make it required.

  • Creation profile with required parameters

    Please can anyone tell me  how to create the new creation profile with the following parameters: Delivery on Thursday and creation on Wednesday.

    Hi,
    Settings for the Creation Profile
    You make the following settings in Customizing for Purchasing under Scheduling Agreement ® Maintain Release Creation Profile for Scheduling Agreement with Release Documentation.
    General Parameters
    For JIT delivery schedules, you select Changed or next date. For forecast (FRC) delivery schedules, you select Next date only.
    For JIT schedules, you specify that backlogs and immediate requirements are determined.
    Aggregation Horizons
    For JIT schedules, you specify daily aggregation and enter 10 workdays as End. For FRC schedules, you choose monthly aggregation and enter 180 workdays as End.
    This has the effect that JIT delivery schedules show the daily quantities for the next 10 workdays and FRC schedules the monthly quantities for the next 180 workdays (9 months à 20 workdays).
    Creation Periodicity
    You specify weekly creation for JIT schedules and monthly creation for FRC schedules.
    Tolerance Profile
    You specify 10 days as the checking period for JIT schedules, since this corresponds to the release horizon. You enter 5% as upper and lower tolerance limits and choose Overall check.
    In your case JIT SCHEDULE IS VALID. I hope this will clear your issue.

  • How to Make u0091Contactu0092 Profile a required field in BP Maintenance?

    We are using "status" tab in the Tcode: /nBP- BP Maintenance and trying to do following two things:
    1.     Make ‘Contact’ filed as REQUIRED fields in BP Master in under ‘Status’ tab, and
    2.     Restrict one or more communication method(s) as ‘Disallowed’ while others remain Allowed. Here is the scenario: BP chooses NOT TO BE CALLED on Phone but agrees to receive Letters and/or Emails.
    We believe this would require development, but wonder if there are other options, or if anyone has done something similar and would be willing to share?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    Sort Key can be made as mandatory through SPRO settings.
    SPRO > Financial Accounting New > Accounts receivable and accounts payable > vendor accounts > Master Data > Preparations for creating vendor master data > Define Account groups with screen layout > Double click on your account group > Double Click on company code data > Double clcik on account management  > Make the field sort key as required entry.

  • Creation profile in ME31L

    Hi Experts,
    There is Requirement in which we have to maintain default value for Creation profile field (EKPO-ABUEB) in ME31L for some purchase org.

    Hi,
       First you set the date format in your user profile to the required format.
    Goto SU3--> Take the "Defaults" tab and select the appropriate date format.
    then use the function module 'CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERNAL' , to the selected date format.
    the exporting parameter would be the date to be converted.
    EXPORTING
               DATE_EXTERNAL            =  <date in the old format>
    and the importing parameter would be the variable which holds the date in the new foramt.
    IMPORTING
               DATE_INTERNAL            =  <new date>
    Hope this will be useful for you.

  • Schedule agreement-JIT and creation profile (are necessary to maintain)

    Hi Friends ,
    I am doing schedule line agreement in this way.
    1) Create SA agrement -ME31L
    2) Maintain schedule lines -ME38
    3) MIGO-
    4)MIRO
    That is working.
    A ) But then why it is necessary to maintain in material master under purchasing tab- JIT
    and
    B) in vendor master -Creation profile
    Please can u explain me A and B
    Regards,
    Mahesh.

    Hi Mahesh,
    Maintaining JIT in material master is necessary only if you wish to Use JIT scheduling agreement schedule lines, if you are fine with only FRC schedule line, then you don't need to update this field. This is a control on the material level, like you know if a certain material can't be managed on a JIT level then you will not use it, so JIT agreements can't be created for it.
    I don't feel Creation Profile is mandatory for vendor master, because you can opt to enter the creation profile in the Scheduling agreement additional data. Creation profile basically has a lot of control function, here isthe abstract from SAP Help
    The creation profile determines:
        Which event triggers the creation of a scheduling agreement release (changes involving the lines of the overall schedule and/or the reaching of the next transmission date)
        How the delivery dates are shown (aggregation and release horizon)
        Whether Backlogs and Immediate Requirements are determined and shown in the scheduling agreement (SA) release
        Whether a tolerance check is carried out for SA releases that are created due to changes to the overall delivery schedule in the system

  • How to validate required fields before executing menu item ("Save As") using cutom Javascript?

    Hi,
    Sorry, I am new to PDF Development. I tried creating PDF using Acrobat XI Pro. During creation, I have encountered issues in running custom JavaScript. The requirement is to validate all the required fields before saving the PDF. I tried using the following scripts to validate the said required fields. But, it's not working.
    Option 1: If the field is null, a message box will appear.
    if(this.getfield("textbox") = null){
    app.alert("required");
    else {app.execMenuItem("SaveAs");}
    Option 2: If the field is required, a message box will appear.
    var f = this.getField("textbox");
    f.required = true;
    if(f = true)
    app.alert('required');
    else
    app.execMenuItem("SaveAs");
    The scripts mentioned above are not working. I wanted to validate the required fields before saving the PDF.
    In addition, I tried validating each field using the following script:
    f = getField(event.target.name)
    if (f.value.length == 0)
        f.setFocus()
        //Optional Message - Comment out the next line to remove
        app.alert("This field is required. Please enter a value.")
    When I open the PDF, the script is working. However, when the message box pops out, the "OK" button is not working as expected. The message box is not closing. I tried opening the form in a site in different Java versions (like 7-11 and 7-67). It's working in version 7-67. I tried upgrading the Java version from 7-11 to 7-67. Still, it doesn't work.
    I would appreciate your feedback on this matter.

    If you set the fields as required, then when the user hits the print button you could run this script:
    var txt = form1.execValidate();
    if (txt == true){
    print command
    This code assumes that the root node of your form is form1. Also ensure you put a message into the Empty Message parameter for each field that you want to mark s required.

  • Assigning Creation Profile in the Vendor Master

    Help needed to find the release "Creation Profile" in the Vendor Master. I am not able to locate the input box in the Vendor Master "Purchasing Data" Tab.
    Already tried:
    Extras >> additional purchasing data >> data retention at plant level
    Purchasing view >> Extras >> Alternate data for a plant
    - the "Creation profile parameter is not there
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks for your reply. I should clarify the issue once again.
    Problem Clarified
    "Release Creation Profile" already exists (defined) in IMG and I need to assign it to a vendor in the Vendor Master on the "Dif. Purchase Data" which is plant specific. I couldn't find the field "Creation Profile" in any of the purchasing data.

  • Making First Name a Required Field

    Hello everyone!
    I'm attempting to make the first name attribute on the user form (For direct user creation via xelsysadm) required.
    I have 5 current user accounts (And tons of old deleted accounts), all of which have first names. However, when I go to the "User Configuration" page and attempt to make the field required, OIM 11g tells me that all users must have a value for that field....
    Is there an easier way to do this (Such as metadata manipulation?) If so, which xml is it?
    Lastly, how can I get UDFs to be displayed on request-based user creation. I've used an authorization policy to view/modify the attribute, but it still doesn't show up.
    Thanks in advance!

    Let's do it by parts.
    1 - To check which accounts don't have a "First name", connect to your database repository as OIM account owner (usually DEV_OIM):
    select usr_login, usr_first_name, usr_last_name from usr
    where usr_first_name is null
    order by usr_login2 - The metadata xml file is /file/User.xml, use the metadata import/export feature to modify the required fields;
    3 - Follow BB's tip, and that note will show you how to do it.

  • Significance of release creation profile

    Hi all,
    Can anyone explain with example the use and significance of release creation profiles in outline aggrement
    Thnks
    Gan

    Hi,
    Release Creation Profile
    Use: -
    The creation profile determines:
    - Which event triggers the creation of a scheduling agreement release (changes involving the lines of the overall schedule and/or the reaching of the next transmission date)
    - How the delivery dates are shown (aggregation and release horizon)
    - Whether
    Backlogs and Immediate Requirements are determined and shown in the scheduling agreement (SA) release Whether a tolerance check is carried out for SA releases that are created due to changes to the overall delivery schedule in the system
    Note: -
    The tolerance check is only carried out if lines of the overall schedule for an item have been changed and if you create SA releases using the release creation program (via Scheduling agreement ® Create SA release).
    Features: -
    A creation profile is defined on a plant-dependent basis and consists of the following areas:
    General parameters: -
    - Whether - and, if so, under what conditions - an SA release is generated (creation strategy).
    - Whether backlogs and immediate requirements are to be determined for the SA release type.
    - Whether or not the tolerance check is to be deactivated in the case of change documents created for SA releases with backlogs.
    Aggregation horizons: -
    - The Release Horizon for which released quantities are shown, and
    - The periods for which quantities may be aggregated.
    If your creation profile provides for aggregation, quantities and delivery dates set out in the lines of the overall delivery schedule stored in the system for a scheduling agreement are aggregated to form release schedule lines.
    If you use a creation profile without aggregation, or work without a creation profile, the schedule lines of the SA release correspond to the schedule lines of the overall delivery schedule for the scheduling agreement for the relevant period.
    Creation periodicity: -
    - Whether SA releases are to be created on a periodic basis (and, if so, at which frequency).
    Each time a scheduling agreement release is created, the system calculates the next creation date. Weekly and monthly releases are always created on a Monday (first workday of the period). The system takes the factory calendar as the basis for calculating the due dates for release creation.
    If you wish to create SA releases on a periodic basis, you should choose a creation strategy that includes Next date.
    Tolerance profile: -
    - Whether tolerances are are to be checked for scheduling agreement releases created as a result of changes to the overall delivery schedule. This allows you to specify that SA releases are only to be created following major changes to the overall delivery schedule.
    In the case of SA releases containing backlogs or immediate requirements, the system never checks tolerances.
    Activities: -
    You process creation profiles in Customizing for Purchasing under Scheduling Agreement ® Maintain Release Creation Profile for Scheduling Agreement with Release Documentation.
    You assign a creation profile to a scheduling agreement item in the Additional data.

  • Mandatory creation profile on scheduling agreements

    Hello Gurus,
    I need to put a value on creation profile field on schedulling agreements. I have to choices:
         - Put the value on supplier data. It is a plant-dependant value i my client doesn't want to create this data.
         - Made it mandatory. This possibility doesn't appear through Scheduling Agreement -> Define Screen Layout at Document Level as usual in fields on Purchase docs.
    Anyone has an idea how made it mandatory (or de badi to change the value by code)
    Best regards,
    Nacho

    Dear Experts,
    I'm not getting any response regarding Creation profile which I posted last week.
    Can anybody explain me the use of Creation profile in Schedule line?
    From Standard SAP help documentation I'm not convince.

  • How to create Creation Profile

    Hello all Gurus,
    Can someone please tell me how to create "Creation Profile" and use them in MM scheduling agreement? I have an issue, where the user wants 2 separate creation profiles to be created so that the demands should be sent to suppliers on Thursdays and Fridays only. I maintained the creation profiles in SPRO -- MM -- Purchasing -- Scheduling Agreement -- Maintain Creation Profile for Scheduling agreement with rel. doc. But these creation profiles doesn't seems to work. What are the extra steps that we need to carry out once the creation profiles are created and then maintained in MM scheduling agreement?
    If you have any knowledge on creation of CREATION PROFILES please share it with me. It will be very much helpful for me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Umakanth

    hi,
    Go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Scheduling Agreement > Maint. Rel. Creation Profile for Sched. Agmt. w. Rel. Docu.
    Maint. Rel. Creation Profile for Sched. Agmt. w. Rel. Docu.
    In this step, you can define the release creation profile.
    The latter is an instrument for determining which criteria are used to generate releases against a scheduling agreement and transmit them to the vendor.
    You assign the creation profile to the scheduling agreement item in the additional data.
    The creation profile controls the creation periodicity of the releases and - starting from the current date of release creation - the way in which the quantities are aggregated.
    In the release creation profile, you can define
    o   General Parameters
    -   Which creation strategy is the basis for JIT delivery schedules and scheduling agreements.
    -   How backlog and immediate requirements are taken into account during release creation.
    o   Aggregation and release horizon
    -   If and how schedule lines should be aggregated during release creation.
    o   Release creation periodicity
    -    With which periodicity scheduling agreement releases are created
    o   Tolerance profile
    -    That for releases created as a result of changed schedule lines, the system performs a tolerance check
    o   Internet release
    -    Whether an Internet release is created during release creation
