  • Inspire A500: Is there any adapter for the TV or DVD Player?

I have recently bought the Inspire A500 and wanted to know if there was any possible way of connecting it to my TV or DVD Player?

The photo looks like one of the older MagSafe adapters, not the 't'-shape that shipped with 2011 models. I would imagine that if you took it into an Apple Store they would just tell you that it was damaged. I doubt that they would replace it.
However, I don't work for Apple and, were I in your shoes, I'd take my MBP with the adapter into an Apple Store and kindly ask if the adapter is covered under warranty (if you're still in your warranty period or under AppleCare). If it's not, be prepared to buy a new one.

  • Problem connecting wifi to LG BD670 wifi dvd player?

I cannot connect the LG BD670 3D wifi dvd player to my Airport Extreme. I have a strong signal. But when I input my password, I get this message:
I have contaced LE support and tried everything they suggested. They say: “Access Point Connection failed. Do want to retry?”
I see, can't say is a problem with the wireless card in the player since it does detect the name of your router, the error Access pointconnection failed refer to router, we are not getting access to it
They also said to lower my network security from WPA2 to WAP. WPA2 was to high a security. Does it matter?
    Does anyone have a suggest?

  • Connecting 4.1 (4400) to TV/DVD player

    Hi all,
I have got Sony TV and Sony DVPNS50P dvd player.
Can I connect creative 4.1 (4400) to these directly.
    Please advise...
    thanks...

No, it won't be true surround sound, a 2-channel output will only deliver 2-channel sound. For true surround sound, on that DVD player, you'll need 5.1 speakers that you can connect to the optical or coaxial digital output (so a 5.1 speakerset with a decoder, like the Inspire GD580).
You could use 2.1 speakers, it would give you the same effect as the 4.1 4400 speakers, there wouldn't be much difference.

  • Connecting Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers to DVD player

    Hi,
I have a LG DVD Player (DSI 8352) which gives 5.1 home theatre (dolby decoder) output.
If I buy Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers (5200 or 5700), how do I connect them ? Through RCA Stereo cables ? Would there be any compatibility issues ?
Please suggest the 5.1 speakers that would suit my requirement (no decoder / only amplifier) ..
Plz reply back to [email protected]
    Thanks,Sambath

Creative offers many speaker systems that will fit your needs, without decoder.
You mentioned the Inspire 5700 system; this system comes with a decoder/amplifier, and wouldnt actually be what you'r looking for.
If your looking for awesome sound-quality, and good power, I can recommend the 5.1 Megaworks system, though this system can get quite expensive, you'll get what you pay for.
The megaworks (like "all" other creative speaker systems, got a built in amplifier in the subwoofer, where you connect all the speakers.)
To connect the speakers to the DVD-player, you connect the multichannel output on the DVD-player, to the multichannel input on the back of the subwoofer. (three stereo minijack inputs.)
You may need some RCA-to-minijack adapters, so that the multichannel audio cable that comes with the megaworks, will fit on your DVD-players output.

  • Inspire 5200 - connecting to DVD player?

Is there any way to connect this speaker system to a DVD player? Since the subwoofer doesn't have rca input jacks.

    sanafabich,
If you DVD player have 5.1 channel RCA input jack, you could always get yourself some 3.5mm stereo minijack to dual RCA cable for the connection.

  • RCA Extension Cable - Male to Female a make that fits Inspire 5.1 speakers?

    Hi
I want to extend the distance between my speakers and the subwoofer. I believe I have a Creative Inspre 5200 system. I bought some RCA male female extension cables but the male nad female ends were too long and did not fit either the jack on the end of the speaker cable or the input into the subwoofer.
Can any one male any recommendations or provide sources to buy cable with the correct fitting male female ends?

  • How to connect the I-Trigue 5600 to a DVD player???

I got a set of I-Trigue 5600 and thinking of connecting all 5 speakers and woofer to the back of DVD player to get the surround effect when watching DVD. The problem is I can just plug all 5 speakers to the back of the DVD player but how can I connect the sub-woofer to the DVD player as there is no cable to connect them together? Is there some sort of cable or adapter I can buy to connect them together? Thx in advance for any help!!!

have you tried that setup already?
my guess is that the subfrequencies are still combined with the front channels, and if I correct, your speakersystem will redirect them to the sub. just give it a try.

  • How to connect DVD player to FIOS TV (with standard TV)

The Verizon techs installed my FIOS system. I already have the router, DVR and standard TV connected and working. How do I add a DVD player to the mix?
I found wiring diagrams for my FIOS DVR, but they do not include my configuration. Here is what I found:
    http://www22.verizon.com/ResidentialHelp/FiOSTV/Receivers/Wiring+Diagrams/Motorola+7232+HD+DVR/12763...
The above diagram includes an A/V receiver, which I don't think my configuration includes. The tutorial does not offer a choice of configuration that is just the DVR, standard TV, and DVD player.
Where do I find a wiring diagram that connects my DVR, standard TV and DVD player? Do I have to do anything to the router when I connect the DVD player? Sometimes I see references to set top boxes--are they the same thing as the DVR?
    Thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sorry to hear about you trouble.
If you are using a standard TV you need to check the back ports for RCA connections. They are listed as video/audio inputs, with color coding.
From your DVD player use RCA output jacks, yellow for video, red and white for audio
Take other end of RCA cables and connect to TV inputs at the back
Set your TV to what ever input was used for DVD player and this should allow you to see DVD from TV.
I sent you a PM if further assistance was needed.

  • How can I connect my non 5.1 output DVD to my great Inspire speakers??

hello there, new in the forum; well.. basicly that:
My DVD doesn't have the 5.1 output jacks, it only has the digital coaxial RCA output; how can I connect it to my brand new and already awesome Inspire speakers.
    Thanks in advance.

It is possible to get a seperate decoder such as the one offered by Creative, but in my opinion the easiest route is to simply buy a new dvd player.
    From a previous reply:
Note about some dvd players: If your player doesn't have 5.1 channel outputs like the pictured one does, then you will need to get a player that does. Unfortuantly, most basic dvd players do not include these outputs anymore because digital surround sound receivers are so affordable and readily avalible. Therefore, in order to be guaranteed that your new player will have these outputs, look for a dvd player that also plays dvd audio and/or sacd. These players MUST have these outputs for the multi-channel audio playback, and most can also output the dvd signal through these outputs.
Also, a lot of cheapie players sold at small movie and music stores have 5.1 outputs, but check before you buy. Good Luck!

  • Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers and notebook problems

    Hi,
I have my digital 5500 speakers connected to my old desktop computer which has the Audigy soundblaster card and the whole system works fine - mostly. I would like to connect the speakers to my notebook as that system is much more efficient and I feel wouldn't freeze during playback of music like the desktop. However I have a Realtek AC(7 soundcard in the notebook and when I plug the Creative speakers in I get no sound at all. If I use my cheap 2 speakers it works fine. I guess maybe I need to reconfigure the notebook but have no idea if this is possible and if it is how to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions please? I am using XP on both systems. I have been to the Realtek site but there seems to be no support there.

    Gilli
What is the connection type you used for the notebook to the speaker? Coaxial/Optical/Line IN?
Try using a Stereo minijack to Stereo minijack cable to connect from your sound card front audio jack to the Analog Line In on the decoder. Ensure that you have selected the Input source to 'LINE IN' from the decoder box.
Your best bet would be to check with your notebook vendor for additional assistance as you may need to enable certain setting from your notebook.

  • Connecting speakers to dvd player

I'm planning to buy a Creative Inspire 5200, and im wondering if I can connect it in my dvd player?

    Hi Jason,
In such a case, can i assume that the speakers alone are sufficient to amplify the sound of the DVD player with the builtin decoder? Will the volume control of the speakers be sufficient to provide audible sound from the DVD's audio signal?
    Thanks.

  • CANT connect DVD player to '5.1 inspire' via DIGITAL CABLE!! arrrg!

I have a "CyberHome CH-DVD 300S" DVD player and a "Inspire 5.1 5200" Creative speakersI want to connect the DVD player directly to the speakers system and maintain my 5.1 sound. Both the dvd player and creative speakers are capable.
    Heres my problem
The 'digital coaxial' jack that comes from the DVD player is 'Composite RCA' style and the digital input jack on the creative speakers is '1/8th inch' or headphone jack style. NO PROBLEM nothing radio shack cant fix. ... I plug it all up and turn my dvd player to output digital signal and nothing happens.
Are both of these runing different protocols?
    Surely someone has attempted this.
    Thanks in advanced.

My setup writes DVD's in almost ANY format. Still SUX! But... yes, what she said. You'll always need to decode and, if I'm thinking correctly :smileyindifferent: you must specifically have digital speakers to "go" digital on yer settings, et.al. At the very least you'll need an RF Modulator just to hook up to cable box (or sattelite, etc.). Keep your Brave Face on for this one-it may take some extra dollars to achieve your goals. Good Luck, and... we're watching. G!

  • Creative SBS-580 5.1 Speakers

Hi, I am looking at getting the Creative SBS-580 5.1 speakers for my computer. I was wondering, how do these connect to the computer? Is it through a single 3.5mm cable, or is it through 3 separate 3.5mm cables?

    Hey everybody!
I just got my SBS-580 5.1 system. Since I don't have an external 5.1 card for my laptop, I use it as a 2.1 system, with only front left/right output (green one) plugged. The problem is that the front right satellite is not working properly, at the max volume I can hear it only whispering. I'm just wondering if it's the problem of my soundcard and I need a proper 5.1 sound card to get the full effect or is it the problem of particular system and I should contact the seller I've bought the speakers from? Any help is appreciated!
    Thanx!
