COMPAQ 6720S XP 64 BIT SOUND DRIVERS
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a 64 bit sound card driver for the above!!
Thanks
NickDid you first install the UAA driver from the same section? Check in Device Manager under System Devices to see if MS UAA installed properly.
There should be a listing for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.
If not,you should have a PCI with yellow!.Right click it and Update Driver,No to Connect,No to Search and last Install Automatically.
Reboot to check status.
If no joy try this DRIVER
******Clicking the Thumbs-Up button is a way to say -Thanks!.******

Can't find drivers for SB0410 SBLive! 24 bit sound card that came with Dimension 8400
I cannot find the sound card drivers for Model SB0410 (SB Live! 24 bit) sound card that came with a Dell Dimension 8400... the update is on the Dell website and the Creative Labs web site- but not the original drivers.
This peripheral is not recognized by WinXP Home. No "Drivers or Utiiltes Disc" were included in the original shipment of the computer either....
I Googled and searched the Internet- cannot find drivers, whatsoever.
What's next? This it the right drivers and programs for the Creative Sound Blaster Card ( Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit Internal) that came in the Dell Dimension 4700 as far as a can tell. It worked for me doing a fresh install of Windows XP Pro on a Dell Dimension 4700 computer:

Need sound drivers for a Pavillion dv8309us running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit OS
Need sound drivers for a Pavillion dv8309us running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-Bit OS. I'm getting "no audio output device is installed" error after trying various different drivers. Sometimes the driver will install and I'll reboot, but to no avail I end up with the same error and a red X over the speaker in the system tray. I've tried Realtek drivers and Conexant drivers from HP. When I run Windows upgrade advisor it recognizes the problem, but Microsoft doesn't offer a compatible driver. At this point I'm very desperate considering everything else works fine and I don't want to go back too XP Media Center. If there is anything you can do to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I guess this one isn't even 64 bit but it is the one on HP's site:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-46818-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
I never tried to force a driver but I think it can be done. I seeing that in some threads.

Upgraded Qosmio X500-10T to Win 8.1: Sound drivers for 5.1 over HDMI
Hello *brilliant* Toshiba community,
I have recently upgraded my Qosmio X500-10T from 64-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit Windows 8.1.
I have left Windows to download driver updates.
My setup: Qosmio (HDMI) => Yamaha AV receiver (HDMI) => Samsun LCD TV.
_The Problem:_ Playing a video file (in MPC-HC) with 5.1 sound only outputs 2 channel PCM.
Would it be better to install the Win 7 drivers from Toshiba even though they are older and for a different OS, or install windows 8.1 drivers from another Qosmio, or leave the Win 8.1 drivers found by Microsoft?
This driver issue is made more problematic as I don't actually know what the technical hardware components are in the machine so its not as though I can find a win 8 driver for them.
As always any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
BuzzHi
From my knowledge the Win 7 drivers are totally different from Win 8.1 drivers and I doubt that Win 7 driver would work properly on Windows 8.1 system. However, you can test such Win 7 drivers too. But of course I would recommend you to use the Win 8.1 drivers released for other notebook series.
As Im not mistaken the Qosmio X500 needs 2 sound drivers: Conexant (chip CX20583-10Z) sound driver as well as the nVidia sound driver (for HDMI) -
Windows XP X64 Soundmax ADI1986A Sound drivers
Windows XP X64 Soundmax ADI1986A Sound drivers
Does anyone have these drivers >>> Soundmax ADI1986A FOR WINDOWS XP X64
There is a X64 version working under Vista X64 Ultimate provided by the Lenovo site, but for XP X64 i found none.
I must say, with the UAA Driver for High Definition Audio 1986A X64 Windows 2003 installed, there is sound only in my headphones (so the jack is working) , but the speakers are off. I really do not understand how this comes.
Does anyone confronted with this issue ? Does anyone has a working XPx64 ADI1986A sounddriver ?
( I forgot to tell the notebook model lenovo 3000 N100 0768-bng intel core2duo T5500 )
Message Edited by adrian_butan on 01-04-2009 02:05 PMI am in deep trouble finding those x64 drivers.
For the Bluetooth stack, it complains about being unable to find the Bluetooth device. It keeps on saying "Please plug in the Bluetooth device.". Nothing more...
For the sound card, Analog Devices does not provide drivers to individuals. Instead, they forward you to the OEM manufacturer web site, in our case the Toshiba downloads site, where you can find nothing.
I understand that Toshiba is not delivering those machines with 64 bit operating systems. -
Hello,
I have an Hp pavilion dv7-4060us, and my sound drivers haven't been updated since 2010. They are IDT HD audio Codecs, and I went to the IDT site, and couldn't find them. I also emailed the IDT support team, and they said they couldn't help me with it.
Here is my Dxdiag.
Thank you to anyone ahead of time.

I guess not.
I looked at the version of the video driver on your notebook's support page and it looked to be in an earlier sequence of the one I posted.
That is why I thought it would run.
You can try to manually update the driver by clicking on the IDT audio controller in the device manager. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver. Select the Browse my computer for software and browse to the installation folder that was created when you ran the driver package. That would be in C:\SWSetup\sp53628.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way. If not, you will probably have to live with the status quo.

Is it possible to play 24-bit sound with LabView using SO config SO write
etc.?
TMOf course I'm not sure what device you're talking about...
But I looked into this one of these Soundblaster 5.1 cards as a possible
cheap 24-bit alternative to the NI cards. When I called the creative labs
developer support group and pressed them for information, they claimed that
the card in question actually was normal 16-bit I/O and the 24-bit
advertised on the box was only in some internal sections of the card.
So in the end Labview only supported the 16-bit modes, but the soundcard
specs were kind of deceptive anyway and I couldn't have done 24-bit
acquisition. Double check with the developer support line for your hardware
so you're not on a wild goose chase like I was.

Re: Satellite P100-434: Unable to load sound drivers running Xp Pro
I have a P100-434 (SPAD), which is currently running XP Pro I decided that I wanted to rebuild the OS as it was becomming very cluttered and slow.
I have partitioned the HD and installed a 2nd copy of XP Pro with dual boot, however I find that I cannot load the sound drivers onto the NEW XP.
Driver installation aborts and reports NO MEDIA FOUND.
I checked the driver that I had downloaded against the old XP installation and it works fine, finds the sound card and installs the drivers.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to why a vanilla OS installation can't find the soundcard.
So can anyone point me in the right direction to get some sound? (I have reloaded XP twice with the same result each time).
Message was edited by: exrafladWindows XP needs *KB888111* and *KB835221* hotfix from MS site before you will install sound driver.
- you have to install both patches
- download the Conexant sound driver from the Toshiba page. I found two different versions. I would recommend checking both!
- remove the old sound driver from device manager reboot the notebook and install the new downloaded sound driver

Creative when some GOOD drivers
We are already to RC of Vista and Creative again no good drivers for my X-Fi !
Creative want to leave the sound card market ?
I spend a lot of money with all my sound cards from Creative in many years but I think that for the future I will think I will think and I think again before to take a new Creative sound card ... If that is the support (no drivers for Vista, upgrade drivers only after 6 or more month for XP !!) there will be something wrong on you, sorry.
LucaMessage Edited by uvceti on 09-05-2006 :25 PMCreative will do what it always does. Provide basic support onpar or less than integrated audio and then release a new Vista compatible audio card. They do it with pretty much all the other junk they fire out.

ITunes Wiping My Sound Drivers?
I've been trying to get the cause of a problem on my PC for ages. Randomly I would have no sound on my machine, I check the sound drivers and they are changed to a random Microsoft version.
By the looks of it, any time I install the latest version of itunes, it wipes my sound drivers?
I have XP Home, and the drivers in question are Realtek HD Audio ones.
Anyone know what I can do?Sorry, when I said 'kill' i meant it stopped it from playing sound not actually damaging the hardware. I am guessing iTunes must be installing an unsigned driver which hooks into the sound card driver and hence windows believes the sound card driver is unsigned. And because 64-bit windows requires drivers to be signed it blocks the device from starting. Just my guess correct me if i'm wrong.
To be honest, i cant see a different pci slot working as it seems more like a problem on the driver level rather than IRQ conflicts etc.
Changing sound card may work because it would be using a different driver altogether (Realtek HD audio), but that would be £40 wasted on my new sound card. Actually I might be better off selling it and getting better speakers instead.
If I get the time, I will try once more installing itunes with the Xonar and then with the Realtek.
Will post results when i get them. -
64-bit RAID drivers problem on Qosmio F30 during WinXP installation
I am trying to install Windows XP 64-bit on my Qosmio F30-140, so I used Windows Vista 64-bit RAID drivers. The windows setup loaded the drivers successfully from USB-FDD, but after I choose C: partition to install the windows and the setup started I got the following message " Setup cannot copy the file: KR10N64.sys ".
Please advise .download the driver again and try to put it on another clean formated floppy disk
put all the files on the root of the floppy disk
and try to reply to this message ;)

Installed Windows & 32 Bit But Drivers and USB ports NOT WORKING.
I bugh an HP Pavillion TS 14 Notebook that came preinstall with Windows 8.1 64 bit which I hate so wiped the drives and installed Windows 7 32 bit and now I have a big problem. None of my network drivers work and the 2 uSB ports where I plug my mouse and other SB hardware in no longer work.
I did a back up of the SW Set up file that has all of the HP dvers for my laptop but both the network and video divers won't install. And When I try to install the drives I get the eror message saying they are not compatible with this version of Windows.
I have loked on the HP website under my laptop model which s as above but HP don't do drivers for Windows 7 32 for my laptop. And I have looked on both the Realteck website for both the Realteck ethnet and Realteck wireless network drivers but none of them work or install on my operating system. The video drivers Intel don't work either. So I am really stuck a I cannot go back to Windows 8.1 as though that 32 bit Windows 7 would work on my laptop but most of my drivers are not compatible with the operating sytem And I don't want to install 64 bit Windows as I like 32 bit.
The drivers that are not working on Windows 7 32 bit are:
Realteck RTL8188EE 802-11b/gn witeless lan
Realteck ethnet die and
Intel High definition graphcs driver
Which don't work at all on Windows 7 32 bit as they are 64 bit only drivers.
So can you please post me a link bth the network and Intel graphics drvers that work with my laptop. As I have tried lots of different Realteck and raphics drivers for Window 7 but NONE of them work on my system. And None of my USB ports are working either. So how do I solve this problem?
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi:
Should be no problem to get W7 32 bit to work on that model.
Just use all of the drivers and software from the HP Probook 450 G0 on your model except the Audio, BIOS and firmware files.
Your model uses the Intel HD graphics driver only.
The first driver you have to install is the Intel chipset installation utility and then reboot.
http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/psi/swdHome/?cc=us&lang=en&sp4ts.oid=5359407&ac.ad...
Audio: Accept the agreement. Download and install the first driver on the list.
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownT...
If for some reason, the Intel HD graphics driver from that model does not work, then use this one...

Aluminum MacBook 24.GHz and Windows 7 64-bit - NVidia Drivers and kbmgr.exe
I ahve got this mostly working, except I cannot install any Nvidia drivers - windows 7 insists they are not compatible.
I installed the laptopvideo2go 9400M 64-bit Nvidia drivers via modded inf, Windows identifies them as drivers which match my video card, but when I try to change to that driver, Windows says those drivers are not compatible with the OS.
Anyone figure out a workaround?
Also, kbmgr.exe does not work at all, no errors, nothing happens when I double-click on it.Yesterday, I set up rEFIt boot loader and tried to boot from the DVD. There were a list of errors. Probably the problem is my external DVD drive, but SL was installed using the very one. Continue my investigation ...
