Creative cloud- activation and trial downloads with a paid subscription
Hi Community,
i needed to find somewhere to post this question as i feel im hitting a brick wall with the support docs that are widely available.
We have introduced Creative Cloud for Education at my work place. i'm trying to put together some installation docs that can be distributed internally, but i cannot get past how the software is activated from a trial copy through to using the subscription that has been paid for, either prior to the trial expiring or upon expiry. As it seems all apps start in a trial mode (not the best idea, it confuses people as to whether they have a legitimate installation i've found)
That aside, does anyone understand from personal experience how you then progress your trial copy into the 'buy' stage when you have already bought the subscription and it is active?
it all seems a bit pointless and perhaps i am missing something here but i cannot get past it, and no amount of support docs i read even addresses 'how' this happens. the closest doc i have found talks about how to take CS6 copy from trial to full.
come on Adobe, help us out with some real instructions person to person. i'm not looking for links to support docs here (as you may have guessed)

Maybe you've run a trial version of a unknown source.
Possibility that your host file is modified and some IP numbers are blocked.
Adobe can't reach the appropriate registration server(s).
A solution can be:
- Log-out desktop CC
- Clean Up your host file (don't know how, Google is our best friend)
- Restart your computer
- Log on CC desktop

Hi, I just got a new iMac, and was wondering if I should put my current PS CS5 from my macbook pro onto it, or should I just go with the monthly subscription? My issue is that I work with no internet a lot, and am worried that will be a problem. You can use prepaid 1 year Creative Cloud plan software offline as long as your computer is connected to the 'net every 99 days or less.

Help with Download error in Creative Cloud Student and Teacher Edition
I have been paying for the Creative Cloud Student and teacher editions of the Adobe suite. I have two laptops. The cloud application installed fine in both, but I could not download the apps into my preferred machine, receiving a "Download Error" for my pains. The other laptop, with its small memory size, was not suitable for the programs and has recently crashed and passed on! So now I'm still left with half of my year's commitment to go and have still not been able to benefit from the programs. i have tried every which way to get them on my main computer, taking advice from the net but to no avail. This is all I get:

I have an urgent question about my indesign. I had problems with the creative cloude app and then uninstalled it and then installed it again. Now it is not opening and I cannot download it again either. Pls give me help and advice if there is anything I can do to repair it

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

On Creative Cloud,Photoshop CC Trial (or any other Adobe programs) does not download , States "Download error Press Retry to try again... (49)". How can I resolve this?
Try logging out of the CC Application and restarting your computer. Also, try running the CC app as an administrator.

I have purchased the Creative Cloud Student and Teacher edition and I now need to install illustrator on Windows Vista. All the new versions are not available for Vista. I have managed to find older versions for download but it is asking me for a product key. Is it possible to get the product keys for older version with Creative Cloud Student and Teacher edition?
You cannot purchase older versions of Adobe software thru Adobe. If you have a full subscription you can acquire the CS6 version thru that. I have had CS6 running on a Vista system for years without problems.

Do I have to be connected to internet when using illustrator through creative cloud? And can I change the language on the trial version if I would extend it to pay version? Thank you in advance.
Lelisa it is only necessary to connect to the internet periodically to receive updates and validate your membership. If you have an annual membership you can be offline for up to 99 days. You can find additional details at Activation & Deactivation Help.

I'm recent Creative Cloud member and logged-in. In the past I downloaded photoshop but now when I atempt to use Creative Cloud Manager I receive an error message and a notice to contact customer service?
Hi There - can you tell me what error message you recieve? when you say creative cloud manager - are you referring to the "adobe application manager?" One suggestion is to navigate to http://creative.adobe.com and log on with your Adobe ID, then click on "apps" menu and select the product you want to install - you can choose Photoshop even if you already have it, this will potentially upgrade your Adobe Application Manager if it is out of date and may resolve the issue for you.
