Creative Cloud Application does not install on late 2014 Retina iMac.

I am already user of PS CC 2014 and LR for about a year. Until now this worked flawlessly on a different Mac. After migration to new machine Creative Cloud app stopped working (actually this was the ONLY app that did not work after migration, one of about 100 others). I uninstalled all CC products and attempted a clean install from administrative account, i.e. install from freshly downloaded Creative Cloud installer from Adobe web site failed. Relevant diagnostic report (top part) attached below.

Jeff,
thanks for the suggestion. I see your point, I actually tried to use uninstallers, but PS CC 2014 uninstaller throws off an error (not specific, unfortunately). I think I try to do a complete erase, followed by clean installation of Mac OS X, followed by manual re-installation of my apps and will just move my docs from full backup I made before migration.
Any idea what actually may have caused the problem? What I see is CC app installer going through initialization, then it is downloading something for a short time then it just disappears. Greyed out icon of CC app briefly appears in menubar then it is gone. All Adobe crash logs as well as diagnostic logs generated during this time are not that informative. Looks like a few of the threads crash very soon after initialization…
thanks again for the time you took to answer
Jacek

  • Creative cloud application does not start on mac 10.9.3

    Hi,
I am trying to install the creative cloud application on my mac. Installation goes fine but afterwards CC refuses to start correctly and just sits there and I see the blue spinning wheel and that is mainly it. I can let it sit there for hours but the state will not change. I tried re-installing, re-starting multiple times. I tried to install it on my main macbook pro and my mac mini but the results are the same.
I found somewhere in the forum a link saying to delete the opm.db file from ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/ folder but that also did not yield any change in behavior.
I am a bit running out of ideas. Any suggestion how I can resolve this issue?
    Regards,
    Simon

Strange indeed suddenly it works. However the CC version remains unchanged. Looks like some server was maybe not available yesterday so it could not connect or log on. This does not shed a good light on the reliability. Let's see if it happens again during my trial period.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop does not install

    Hi,
I am trying to install the trial of Adobe Creative Cloud on my Mac (10.9.5). When I run the Creative Cloud Installer, it shows 'Downloading Creative Cloud desktop' and then stops with the error message 'We’ve encountered the following issues: Installer was unable to create a critical file/directory. Please try installing again. (Error code: 44)'.
Here is what I tried so far:
    1) Trying again yields the same result.
    2) Trying the install from my admin account yields the same result.
    Other info:
    1) The machine has a licensed copy of Adobe Creative Suite 5.
    2) I previously installed a trial of CS6 but have since removed that to go to CC instead.
    3) Removal of the CS6 trial by the uninstaller failed - I had to remove components manually.
Does anyone have an idea what the issue could be? Very frustrating as I need to start using CC as soon as possible and purchase a subscription.
    Best regards
    Tim

    Hi Jeff,
I came to the same conclusion but finding the permissions problem was like hunting the needle in the proverbial haystack. I don't think using a temporary directory as you suggested is a solution as the user has no control on where the installer is actually installing the files.
In the end I did as follows:
Manually removed all Adobe products from my internal disk and cleaned caches, app support folders and preferences (BTW, that did not allow the installer to work either).
Cloned my internal SSD drive to an external hard disk.
    Formatted my internal SSD drive.
    Re-installed Mavericks 10.9.5.
    Installed CC Desktop successfully.
Pulled all my stuff back on to my internal SSD drive from the external hard drive using Migration Assistant.
It took a little time, but everything now works as it should.
    Problem resolved!

Adobe Creative Cloud (Desktop) does not work properly. The application is blocked : it could not be launch neither stopped. I'm on MAC Yosemite OS, does anyone know how to remove it properly or to force its stop. It does not appear in the launched applications.

I received no error message. The application was just trying to find applications unsuccessfully.
I am using MAC OS 10.10.1
I tried to uninstall the application  but it seems that a kind of deamon is still installed thus providing me to reinstall properly. Do you know where are the elements to remove in order to get my machine just like before ?
Otherwise I would have to reinstall everything and this would be a pain.
    Thanks for your help.

  • My adobe presenter redemption code (creative cloud) membership does not work.

my adobe presenter redemption code (creative cloud) membership does not work.  Each time I input my presenter code at creativecloud/redeem it returns a message 'ooops, this code has been redeemed.'

I got both installed but on installing Presenter keeps giving errors that a previous version is installed on the computer and cannot proceed.  I verified that there is no previous version and keep redoing the install and get stuck AGAIN and AGAIN at this point.
I also verified that I have the latest version of Flash on Chrome and I have the latest version.  Why is Adobe so all over on downloading/installing their products.  I (and other paying customers)  cannot waste more time on this very simple procedure just because the software packages are not packaged properly or. the teams in charge of ensuring the products DID NOT correctly package the products securely (with the updates included) and more importantly, ensured that the products were linked to user accounts who purchased them.

  • Creative cloud applications no longer install

using the adobe application manager; updates or new applications stop at "waiting to install". Dreamweaver stops downloading all together at 24%
I have priviously downloaded and installed creative cloud applications with no problem... any ideas. Windows 7

When did the expression "Clean" come to mean uninstall???
It does what it says on the tin.
"The tool can clean up install records for any pre-release (beta) installations of these Creative Suite products. The Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool is designed to not interfere with existing installations of previous versions of Adobe Creative Suite products; it does, however, allow you to remove them as well, if you so choose to."
The idea is that, prior to using the Cleaner, you first uninstall as best you can using the usual operating system tools.
If you're still stuck with a non-functioning or mal-functioning product, the Cleaner will clean up whatever files or file fragments or corrupt database entries remain.
Cleaning using the Cleaner tool can seem like uninstalling but it's not. It's just that if traditional uninstalling has not been done as a first step then the Cleaner will include those file in its cleanup process. You can be confident that, once the Cleaner has finished, your drive is 100% free of all traces of the Adobe product that you chose to cleanup. You can then reinstall from Ground Zero.

  • If I upgrade my computer can I remove downloaded Creative Cloud applications and re-install them?

I plan to upgrade by primary computer later this year.  If I download Creative Cloud applications now can I later remove them and re-install them on the new computer?

Sounds like we have to deactivate:
    1. one application at a time [in CS5.5 I can uninstall & deactivate multiple applications, which is much more convenient]
    2. deactivation must be done on the physical computer which hosts the application instance.
    Is this true?
Feature Request: remote deactivation of applications by informing adobe to deactivate while logged in on adobe account.  This cleanly solves two problems:
    1. forgetting to deactivate s/w prior to scrubbing a computer which is leaving service
    2. needing to run on a third computer w/o violating the adobe license. [several people have posted queries about this because they have a desk computer and two laptops or are temporarily using someone else's computer]

  • CM12 OSD using UDI - Applications Does Not Install

Hello all, hoping someone can shed some light on my issue. This is the first time I'm trying to use UDI for OSD so bare with me. I've done some research and I'm able deploy an OS using UDI but my applications are not installing. I only have one application
I'm trying to install (java 7 update 45 for testing) and when the whole imaging process is done I get a yellow exclamation mark by this application (if I hover over it, I get a bubble text box stating "Install State Unknown") and when I
log into Windows the application is not installed. I've deployed this application thru a task sequence successfully so I know it can deploy via TS. Anyone have any ideas of where I should look at so I can figure out my problem? Thanks in
    advance.

I finally got it to work. Here's what I did.
    1. created application called TEST and ticked the box that says "allow this application to be installed from the install application task sequence action without being deployed"
    2. on my osd collection I created a variable named APPLICATIONS001 with a value of TEST (TEST was the name of the application in step 1)
    3. advertised this as an AVAILABLE application to my osd collection
    4. On the SCCM server I opened up my UDI xml file in the UDI Wizard Designer, under Install Programs I added my application called TEST, and saved the xml file.
    5. Updated my MDT Toolkit Package
    6. Ran the image and it installed the application successfully.
Now the only 2 things I did differently were 1. I recreated the application and 2. I named it TEST. The previous one was called Java 7 Update 45 so I'm not sure if there's a limit on the name or it didn't like spaces or maybe the package just needed to be
recreated for some odd reason (seen this recreation solution on other forums too). But anyways the only thing left for me to figure out is why it keeps installing my OS on the drive letter E and I want the OS installed on C. I'm using the default TS that
was created by the Create MDT Task Sequence wizard.

  • Creative Cloud : Flash did not install but Application Manager says the program is "Up to Date"

I tried to instal Flash via the Application Manager the other day, my laptop went to sleep during install and when I woke it back up again the installation had frozen. I closed the manager and rebooted my laptop. The application manager now says that Flash installed and is "Up to Date"
But the application is not on my laptop... I looked in the adobe folder and there is nothing for flash. Searching comes up with no results.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app manager but the same thing appears, I have no way to reinstall Flash. If you have any ideas please let me know!
    Thank you!

    Hi Jeff,
I am having a similar issue. Application manager says these programs are installed: Ps, Ae, Dw, Sg, Pl, Creative Cloud, but only Air and Premiere show in the Programs and Features panel as having been installed. The directories are all there, too, under Programs, but the programs won't run (nothing on start menu or in the programs list from that).
In addition, you say to uninstall the Application Manager, but it's not listed on the installed programs either. If I click on the downloaded file for it's intallation, it simply runs the program, as if it's already installed. Shouldn't it be under Progams and Features as an uninstallable program?
So, first, how do I uninstall the Application Manager? I like the idea of using this simple interface, so would like to continue to use it again after re-install.
Second, I would try manually installing the programs that are missing, but I don't know if that's safe considering the targeted directories are already full of files and data, as if they were installed, but didn't register properly with Windows to be able to be run.
I am not blaming Adobe on this, by the way, but I suspect that, because it was taking so long to install all the listed programs, I left the computer on and went to sleep, and possibly some power-saving feature interrupted the installation progress. It's a brand-new, very fast laptop, a Lenovo Y500 with Windows 8, and I just don't know how to control everything on it yet.
    What to do?

  • Creative Cloud Menu does not show installed Lightroom App

I'm wondering if there is something I can do to fix the problem.  Lightroom does work as long as I dig through menus to find it.

Did you have a stand alone light room ?
You need to uninstall the stand alone Light room from the Computer. Then you can follow these links:
    1. Lightroom Mobile app says I'm running on a trial but I have been using LR 5 for quite some time now on my laptop. Will my trial expire and roll over to my account, or will I have to pay?
2.Re: I´m a CC member (PS and LR). Why does LR say it´s 28 days left on a trial for LR mobile?
3.Why doesn't LR show as installed in CC
    Please refer to:

Reinstall LR5 over the creative cloud
