Creative Cloud application won't install in the right disk

Hello,
I rencently downloaded Creative Cloud for Desktop and, when I'm trying to install Lightroom 5 to my secondary hard drive (D:), Creative Cloud ignores the setting and goes to the C: drive location (which is an almost full SSD).
Is there any way to force the download to my other drive as it seems CC don't care about its preferences?
OS : Windows 8 Pro x64 with Media Center

Jeff, OK, I'll reinstall - it'll probably have to wait till next month, because of my bandwidth allowance, but I can live with that.
Regarding the other error, I didn't give enough information, sorry: after I installed InDesign and PS, I started them up and got a prompt from the CC app to fill in some details on the Adobe website. So I filled them in and got that error, no matter what I tried. If I clicked "Use the above address", it returned to the page with the form anyway.
Edited to add: I logged in again this morning and found the "My Information" page on the Adobe website -  it's not complaining about the address now. I don't know if it means the problem went away or it's a different page (it looks different), but everything seems to be working at the moment.

  • Creative Cloud application won't launch

    Hi there
I have re-installed your application 4 times now and have followed instructions to delete a file from my computer as well.  This is now my 5th attempt and it still won't work......really!!!  Can you please tell me what to do to fix this problem?
Not funny when you are paying good money to access software and then it doesn't work.
    Thanks

    Hi fancypride,
    Please follow the steps
    Rename the opm.db file.
Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db
    Launch Creative Cloud
Please let us know if this was helpful

  • Creative Cloud Desktop Won't Install Issues on Mac OS X 10.8.4

I recently upgraded from CS6 to CC.  First round of installs no problem.  A week later there were a few updates including the CC Destop App and this is where the fun begins.   I installed the updates and immediately after I noticed it was only showing I had 3 apps installed when I have several.  I tried uninstalling the CC Desktop app and re-installing it but I can't get it to install.  Every time I try it just says you have an "unknown error".  I called Adobe's awesome support to which we ran throught diganostics only at the end to tell me they are having issues and to call back later.  I have been all over the forums and have yet to find a solution, nothing works (Including runing the cloud cleaner and renaming the OOBE file).
I am running OS X 10.8.4 any other suggestions or help will be much appreciated

Romsinha! Thank you! I was having this problem and your instructions helped solve the issue.
    Hi iChrisChatt,
    Please try the mentioned steps:
    1. Navigate to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installer and look for CC desktop, if present run the uninstaller to uninstall it.
    2. Navigate to Applications/Utilities and look for Adobe Application Manager folder and Creative cloud folder. If present move to trash and empty it.
    3. Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE and rename to OOBE.old
    4. Download CC desktop from: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and try to install again.

  • Creative Cloud application won't open downloads

I'm trying to download the 30 day trial run for Adobe Photoshop but the Creative Cloud application just keeps loading- it's been almost an hour. Why isn't anything happening?

  • Creative cloud applications no longer install

using the adobe application manager; updates or new applications stop at "waiting to install". Dreamweaver stops downloading all together at 24%
I have priviously downloaded and installed creative cloud applications with no problem... any ideas. Windows 7

When did the expression "Clean" come to mean uninstall???
It does what it says on the tin.
"The tool can clean up install records for any pre-release (beta) installations of these Creative Suite products. The Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool is designed to not interfere with existing installations of previous versions of Adobe Creative Suite products; it does, however, allow you to remove them as well, if you so choose to."
The idea is that, prior to using the Cleaner, you first uninstall as best you can using the usual operating system tools.
If you're still stuck with a non-functioning or mal-functioning product, the Cleaner will clean up whatever files or file fragments or corrupt database entries remain.
Cleaning using the Cleaner tool can seem like uninstalling but it's not. It's just that if traditional uninstalling has not been done as a first step then the Cleaner will include those file in its cleanup process. You can be confident that, once the Cleaner has finished, your drive is 100% free of all traces of the Adobe product that you chose to cleanup. You can then reinstall from Ground Zero.

  • If I upgrade my computer can I remove downloaded Creative Cloud applications and re-install them?

I plan to upgrade by primary computer later this year.  If I download Creative Cloud applications now can I later remove them and re-install them on the new computer?

Sounds like we have to deactivate:
    1. one application at a time [in CS5.5 I can uninstall & deactivate multiple applications, which is much more convenient]
    2. deactivation must be done on the physical computer which hosts the application instance.
    Is this true?
Feature Request: remote deactivation of applications by informing adobe to deactivate while logged in on adobe account.  This cleanly solves two problems:
    1. forgetting to deactivate s/w prior to scrubbing a computer which is leaving service
    2. needing to run on a third computer w/o violating the adobe license. [several people have posted queries about this because they have a desk computer and two laptops or are temporarily using someone else's computer]

  • Creative Cloud Installer won't install.

I've got a subscription to Photoshop CC and noticed that it doesn't appear to be up-to-date. I go to the Adobe website, to the downloads section, to see about manually downloading the latest version, but instead of getting a link to download Photoshop, it gives me a link to download the Creative Cloud installer. Fine. I download the package, open the disk image and run the installer. It begins downloading the Creative Cloud desktop application (which I apparently don't already have), getting about halfway through the progress bar before disappearing without a trace. I've since tried following the instructions for manually uninstalling Photoshop by running the uninstaller in the Utilities folder. It tells me that it needs to download the Creative Cloud installer, and I'm back to square one.
I'm on a mid-2009 Macbook Pro running OS/X 10.9.5. Is there anything I might have missed?

    Here are the screen grabs:
    1. Downloading the CC installer package. No problems there.
    2. Running the CC installer package. So far so good.
    3. After about 2 minutes, the progress bar gets to about the halfway point.
    4. Then it just vanishes into thin air. No error code, no warning, nothing. Just BOOP! and it's gone.
And everything else I try to do leads me back to this. If I try to uninstall Photoshop manually, it tells me that it's missing the Creative Cloud application and so I'm back to here.

  • Creative cloud applications won't open on additional machine - iMac 10.9.4 - Creative cloud for teams - a work colleague has the same issue on his home machine. Applications work fine at work.

These problems are happening on my iMac at home. I can log into Creative Cloud no problem, however as soon as I try and open an application, whether it's an old version or CC 2014, Adobe Application Manager opens and tells me that membership has expired and prompts me to 'try again'. Clicking this button results in a new pop up that thanks me and tells me that my subscription is now active. However as soon as I click 'continue' the process begins again, the application closes, a pop tells me that membership has expired etc.
I can login and view my Creative cloud for teams account online and everything seems to be in order and the applications open without incident at work, another colleague at my work has the same problem with his CC applications at home.
I've tried uninstalling and the installing all of the applications and CC several times, run all updates etc.
Is this an issue the the Terms and Conditions for CC2014, are we no longer allowed to run applications on 2 machines?
Is there a bug with the latex version of CC? This problems has only recently occurred.
I should add that I've read some of the other posts about login loops and I've tried deleting the opm.db file, it didn't work.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
    Regards
    Pete

There doesn't seem to be an uninstaller for CS3, and I've tried the CC Cleaner tool several times. It doesn't work and it is not correctly documented anywhere. For example, there is no log file at "/Users/[user name]/Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.log" as one of the Adobe pages states. For example, there is no log file at "/Users/[user name]/Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.log" so I can't find any success or error states of the tool.
There is a log file at "/Users/[me]/Library/Logs/ACC.log." Would there be anything in there that could shine light on install issues vs. uninstall issues?
Regardless, running Cleaner and then attempting to install ACC repeatedly leads to the error "Creative Cloud quit unexpectedly" upon launching it or rebooting (which launches it automatically). I've been trying various things for weeks to no avail yet.

  • Creative Cloud Application does not install on late 2014 Retina iMac.

I am already user of PS CC 2014 and LR for about a year. Until now this worked flawlessly on a different Mac. After migration to new machine Creative Cloud app stopped working (actually this was the ONLY app that did not work after migration, one of about 100 others). I uninstalled all CC products and attempted a clean install from administrative account, i.e. install from freshly downloaded Creative Cloud installer from Adobe web site failed. Jeff,
thanks for the suggestion. I see your point, I actually tried to use uninstallers, but PS CC 2014 uninstaller throws off an error (not specific, unfortunately). I think I try to do a complete erase, followed by clean installation of Mac OS X, followed by manual re-installation of my apps and will just move my docs from full backup I made before migration.
Any idea what actually may have caused the problem? What I see is CC app installer going through initialization, then it is downloading something for a short time then it just disappears. Greyed out icon of CC app briefly appears in menubar then it is gone. All Adobe crash logs as well as diagnostic logs generated during this time are not that informative. Looks like a few of the threads crash very soon after initialization…
thanks again for the time you took to answer
    Jacek

  • Creative Cloud App Won't Install CC Apps or Update CS6 Apps

I have the CS6 Master Collection installed on my Mac. I just updated to the new OS X Mavericks 10.9 hoping that might solve the problem, but the Creative Cloud app still is NOT working.
The app tells me I have updates, and gives me the option to add the CC apps for the Creative Suite, but gets to maybe 42% and then gives a general error.
The pop up window error says:
    Installation failed.
    Errors encountered during installation (7).
And when you click on More Information, all you get is this:
    Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR:
    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
    - 0 fatal error(s), 0 error(s)
    which tells me nothing.
I am not able to do anything with Creative Cloud, except to update the Creative Cloud app itself every few days. The CC desktop app (which runs from my top menu bar) is up to date, but still doesn't work.
How do I get the app to work and update my CS6 apps and install the CC collection?
    Thank you!

"Exit Code :7" is not what you need to look up. See the screenshot below for my error code.
I looked up "Error: DF024" and below is the link and a screenshot of what it said on the Creative Cloud help page.
Error DF024 installing Creative Cloud products | Mac
I changed the name of my "Recommended" folder to "Recommended_backup". I then reinstalled and got the same error. I reread the code and realized that the path for my error is slightly different than what is listed on the Creative Cloud Help page. Instead of a path of "Library/Colorsync/Profiles/Recommended", mine actually read "Library/Colorsync/Profiles/Profiles". This time I went into the folder and changed the name of of the "profiles" folder to "profiles_back-up" and it worked!!!!!!
Below is what my folder looks like after a successful install of Illustrator CC. The 2 folders highlighted in yellow are the folders that I renamed and the 2 green highlighted folders appeared after installation.

    Hi la dama cooks,
I believe you are getting the blank Creative cloud applications.

  • CC for Teams, not listing all Creative Cloud Applications

    So here is my problem
Our company has just upgraded to Creative Cloud for Teams, but when I went to install the software on everyone's machines, I noticed that we were missing certain CC apps.
I also have a Standard CC license for my personal use to compare this to. Please see the attachment to show what our CC for Teams Application Manager Shows for availability.
As you can see I am missing: Edge Code CC, Edge Inspect CC & Edge Reflow CC
I also have quite a few CS6 apps still listed where there should be CC ones: Premeire Pro CS6, AfterEffects CS6, Prelude CS6 and Speedgrade CS6.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks

    Hello BEA Marcom
I would suggest that you removed the old Adobe Applications manager. Please see the following Solutions 1 & 2 in this doc
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html
Then after that is complete click here to download the updated Creative Cloud application manager and install the software.
    https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
You should be able to see the missing Creative Cloud apps that you are looking for
Please let us know if this resolves your or not. Could you please take a moment to come back to this discussion and mark the "Correct" if the issue is resolved.  Doing this  greatly benefits your fellow users.
    Thanks

  • Is it possible to install the Creative Cloud/Application Manager on a USB?

I tend to use the Applications a lot and it would just be easier to install the creative cloud on my USB rather then the computers I go to, mainly because in order to install it on my school computers, it would require an admin password. So I was wondering if there was a way to possible install both the Creative Cloud Connection, and the application manager (along with apps) on my USB?

    Hi,
Installing it on a USB(external hard drive) will not be a good idea as the products will not work on another computer if you connect this USB to it. In your scenario i will suggest you to use creative cloud packager(CCP) for deployment on other machine.
    details are available on http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/creative-cloud-packager.html
