Creative Cloud AS a FTP client

My business has a MAC server.  We access it remotely via the internet as a FTP.  I want use creative cloud as a ftp client, so that the interface allows for the previewing of ai and PDF files similar to BRIDGE.  Unless anyone out there knows of an FTP client with a very SLICK gui that can do this job...  How would I set up creative cloud to access my FTP?

Hi Benjamin,
Creative Cloud doesn't support FTP sadly, so you'd have to figure out a workflow using a browser to get the previews. I'm not aware of any FTP clients that would be able to generate these kinds of previews either.

    Currently there is no way to share a folder but improved sharing and collaboration are coming.

  • "Apps"-Tab won't load in Creative Cloud Client - please help

    I just made the subscription for the Creative Cloud and installed the client - but it's not working.
    When I click on "Apps" to install the Adobe Apps (obviously) it just loads and loads without stopping. As a result, I'm not able to install the apps and therefore I can't use the cloud I'm paying for.
    I know I'm not the only user with this problem. Please help!
    (And I don't want any "have a chat with a professionell"-offers. I want a real solution)

  • Sharing Lightroom photos in Creative Cloud

    I am trying to find tutorials on how I can share Lightroom photos in Creative Cloud. We make client presentations on a tablet so I would like to be able to log in to my cloud account to show clients photos of ideas that correlate with their design/sales presentation. Can I create a collection in Lightroom and have that synched to Creative Cloud? Any other suggetsions on how to make this work?

    Victoria, you're absolutely right about the post.
    However, Adobe should make some sort of overture to people who have bought into the Creative Cloud and want to have LR4 as well. After all, they announced that it is coming SOON. That leaves people like me out on a limb not knowing where to turn. Should I spend the money (waste is the proper word!) to upgrade from version 3 or should I just let the trial version expire and wait until they finally added to CC. Adobe should give their customers a little guidance!

  • [AMD - Win7.64] Creative Cloud Set-up stopped working

    Good evening,
    Thank you for reading this. I'm a new semi-professional photographer that is just installing PS on a new PC, coming from OSx. I have a freshly built AMD (dxdiag specs listed below) and everything seems to install and run just fine with the exception of the CC Setup client - CreativeCloudSet-up.exe . I did some research and saw some people find some resolution by running in compatibility mode and with administrator rights on, but neither of those solutions have worked for me.
    Wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and found a solution. Thank you again for taking a look. Below are links to pastbin with the output from the Creative Cloud Set-up client as well as my system specs from the dxdiag below.
    Many thanks to anyone who can help - got some deadlines coming up for some clients and a bit troubled by this.

  • How do I install Acrobat Pro without the Creative Cloud client.

    I work in IT Support for a large organization. We have one user whom we have purchased an Adobe Acrobat Pro XI license for.
    Have installed the Creative Cloud client successfully, but it cannot connect to the Adobe servers to download.
    We have given the users machine temporary access to bypass all proxys and firewalls, and can see that no traffic at all is being stopped or even questioned by our devices in place, however the user still gets a firewall error. Obviously no local firewalls are running either.
    We believe the issue to be related to Applocker, that only allows installs from certain location on the local drive. Our security administrator is insisting that he will not change this to allow for installs from the Creative Cloud folder, and has told us to get the direct install files from Adobe and run the install manually from the existing allowed folder.
    Is there direct downloads for each package? Or am I going to have to download it at home and create an install package manually??

    "I’m the Adobe Creative Cloud member (one year subscription) and as such I’m entitled to publish a Single Edition app through my Digital Publishing Suite. Now, I have just been approached by one printed magazine, here in Vancouver, Canada, and I’m suppose to provide them with an estimate for adapting their publication for the iPad. Before I start thinking about my fee I would like to know what we have to pay to Adobe. They have four issues per year and I guess this goes under multi-folio applications category. Now, the questions:
    1. Can I prepare the folios with my Creative Cloud membership or I have to upgrade to Professional edition of the DPS?
    2. Does my client need to purchase the Professional Edition of DPS or not?
    3. Or, we need only one license of the Professional Edition and if so who’s is that license going to be?
    4. Or, I’m talking nonsense and you can just explain me how this works, please?

    You would need to upgrade to DPS Professional Edition for multi Folio Applications. DPS Pro is $495 per month + taxes. Also you have download fees applicable. You get 250 free downloads per month for the first year and  for any additional downloads, you need to purchase Folio Bundle. Approximately, each Folio Download will cost you $ .30, so you can charge you client that amount per folio download + DPS Pro contract fees.

    Now regarding your questions.

    You need DPS Pro for creating Multi-Issue Applications. With CC, you can create Built in single apps. For Magazine with at least 4 issues per year, it’s best to go for Pro edition.

    Either you or your client can purchase DPS Pro depending upon your contract with the client. You Client needs to get themselves Apple iOS Developer account.

    4. You need one DPS Pro Contract. You can create unlimited number of apps and account using one License.

  • Creative Cloud Client Won't Reinstall

    When I first wanted to get the trial to Adobe After Effects CC, i had to download the Creative Cloud Client onto my computer. This all went great until the trial got messed up.  This caused my to deinstall Adobe After Effects CC on my Windows 7 computer.  After i did that i went back into creative cloud and to my amaze i couldnt find anything to let me reinstall AE CC.  All it said was "up to date".  Unable to find i solution i went and deinstalled the Creative Cloud client itself.  Now when i try and download the AE CC trial, nothing happens.  This is strange because the first time i tried this i got the message to download the CC client, now nothing downloads at all and i cant do anything. PLEASE HELP. I dont know where or how to reinstall Creative Cloud itself or even AE CC for that matter!!!!  How do i reinstall Creative Cloud Client????

    I am sorry but Creative Suite 6 and Creative Cloud Applications are not tested on Vitual Environment also they are not Server products. and so we can't provide much help to you. As per my understanding Applications will get installed on Server and it will create a Session for Thin Client user to access their system.

    We have Creative Cloud, and a client of ours wants to create a free magazine (multiple issues a year) for iPad and iPhone, distributed in Newsstand.
    We know tons about InDesign, but nothing about Digital Publishing Suite.
    How much is this going to cost to create and put up in the Apple Newsstand?

    If they got the funds buy the pro account. Put it on the bill. And you run it.  All depends on how deep the clients pockets are.
    Single editon would be good for a yearly catalog IMHO. Or something with a shelf life of a year. If its a one time cost with no DL's to buy.  Save Enterprise for the Fortune 500 clients. 
    A magazine is going to be a multi-issue situation with subs. They might also want to charge if it works. You get a certain amount of DL's to star with with the cost of PRO and if you burn through them (which is a good thing) you need to buy more.
    I don't think you get any anyaltics with single edition either but I could be wrong.

  • Client cannot accept invitation to Creative Cloud

    Issue:
    An invitation was sent to a client on our Creative Cloud team.  When they open the invitation and click the link, they get a page cannot be displayed.  Products download and install, but are on a 30 day trial rather than our one year subscription
    Platform:
    Windows 7, 64 bit, Chrome and IE 11
    Client has local admin privledges
    Troubleshooting:
    Deleted and resent the invitation through https://creative.adobe.com/team/admin
    Ran Creative Cloud Cleaner on client's machine (several times, with reboots)
    Reinstalled CC app on client's machine as admin (right click -> run as admin)
    Removed all Adobe Products (Creative Cloud and CS6)
    Tried invitation on other machines where another client was able to accept the invitation and get the same result

    Some days ago the Creative Cloud Client on OSX stopped running.
    The Problem:
    Creative Cloud Client starts but doesnt show content under apps etc.. only an running progress bar, or the Client starts but there is nothing at least as an blank window with CC Logo on top!

  • Creative Cloud client logs me out

    I have an issue where the Creative Cloud desktop client logs me out after 5-10 minutes, and then I have login manualle again. Also, the client does not remember my id or password, and there is not option to make it remember either. Very annoying.
    I have Creative Cloud desktop apps installed on both work computer, and home computer, and both are acting same way. Running Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 7 Home Premium, both 64 bit.

    I wondered if some other software might be interfering with the operation of Creative Cloud? I'd try both launching Creative Cloud as an Administrator by right-clicking on the shortcut and choosing Run as Administrator. Also, try quitting other applications temporarily from the system tray and see if that makes any difference.
