Creative Cloud - cloud storage

I paid for a yearly subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. One of the major advantages to me was the ability to store my work in the cloud. That way I can work on projects at home on my desktop, and work on/present projects on the go using my laptop.
Based on what I saw in a video promoting the ease of use of the Creative Cloud product, I expected there to be a function where a project is synced to the cloud. The video here on the Adobe website shows the use of an application and an extension in the Mac OS menu bar. Also the video (as well as all over the website) alludes to "sync" capabilities.
I assume I need this application to sync my files with the cloud, but I can't find it. I also can't find an option in Dreamweaver to save a project to the cloud.
I can only find the ability to upload and download (manually using a browser) files from the Creative Cloud website. This isn't a sync operation, but it is laborious and not what appears to be advertised.
Where is the software for syncing with the cloud? Where is the option in the Adobe applications for opening and saving files to the cloud? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for the help.

The Cloud sync utility you're looking for is known as the Creative Cloud Connection, promised since the Cloud was launched.
Adobe has acknowledged that it is late and they have stated that they have had many problems and quality issues in developing and delivering it.

Its late delivery has long been  a sore point for users in recent months and garnered much criticism for Adobe - not least the lack of communication with frustrated users in declining to provide regular status updates.
The Cloud blog is the best source for updates http://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/ but there has been no mention of the Cloud Connection there for a long time.
In  the forums there are lots of apologies from embattled Adobe staff (who have my sympathy) but little else.
Quite a surprising scenario for something which will deliver key Cloud functionality. Not at all up to Adobe's usually stellar standards.
That said, have you tried using Dropbox  https://www.dropbox.com/ instead? I use it daily and it serves me very well..

  • What is Adobe's policy regarding ownership of files uploaded to my Creative Cloud file storage?

If I place files in my Creative Cloud file storage, does Adobe have a policy regarding employee access to these files or whether Adobe claims any rights to use my files?

    Thanks Kevin.
I will add that if someone uses the Report abuse link on a file you share it will be accessed per the Terms of Use.
The only other time a file would be accessed is with explicit permission from the customer for a bug investigation. In that case we would investigate the bug but not use the file for any other purpose.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud file storage

Can I edit an Illustrator file that I have saved in Creative Cloud Files without first having to download it to my mac and then re-upload it once I'm finished editing it?

You cannot access file directly that are stored in the Creative Cloud file storage.
You can use file syncing and store the file in your Creative Cloud Files folder. That way your changes are synced up to the Creative Cloud file storage. If you do not have access to the file sycning yet you can sign up from the Early Access page at https://creative.adobe.com/earlyaccess.

  • Adobe Creative Suite Cloud on a MacBook Pro

I need to upgrade my ancient Adobe Creative Suite 3 and just learned that Adobe is now offering just one upgrade option - Creative Suite Cloud. I don't have much choice but upgrade, but before I take the plunge, I'd like to find out what I'm getting in to.
I found an unanswered thread on an Adobe forum where someone on a Mac complained about CS Cloud taking up far too much space on his hard drive. He also said something about having to move his websites into a different folder for some reason.
Anyway, I'd love to hear from others who are using Creative Suite Cloud on a Mac, especially if you upgraded from CS3. Do you have any tips to share?
I should add that I'm using MAMP to power my sites.
    Thanks!

Are you talking about adobe creative cloud?
If you are, the Adobe Creative Cloud give you most of Adobe's tools (and all that most would need) to do anything.  I will warn you about this though, is that it is a subscription, and you are basically renting it.  that means you really do not own it.
About the hard disk space, all Adobe apps seem to take up at least a GB (and this does not matter if you get the master collection or the Creative Cloud).  so ether way, it will take some space.
Also, if you want to try-before-you-buy, you can go to creative.adobe.com, and get a free account and try out all of he adobe apps available for creative cloud.  The best part of it, your apps will be updated to CS7 (if or when it comes out) instead of buying the apps again in your subscriptions.  if you need even more information, you can go to adobe's site to find out more (www.adobe.com)

  • I wanted to purchase 6 Adobe Creative Suite Cloud Subscriptions under single name

    Hi
I wanted to purchase 6 Adobe Creative Suite Cloud Subscriptions under single name. And i will distubuite 6 licenses to different systems in US. Suppose if i want to deactivate the one licenses from from that system (No physical access to me ) . How do i deactivate the license from my account

You can only have one Adobe ID per subscription unless you purchase Team Ready.
Adobe currently has a Team Ready offering for customers interested in a volume license for Creative Cloud. This is a TLP volume license to Master Collection CS6 and includes licensing for Lightroom and Muse. Customers with this will transition to Creative Cloud Team once available later in 2012. Team Ready only uses a single serial number and Adobe ID and is not the same as Creative Cloud Membership, like what is currently available for single subscribers. Team Ready is sold through Adobe authorized resellers. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact a local Adobe Reseller for more information.

  • I installed all creative suite /cloud products on my main hard drive which has just failed. I can't

I installed all creative suite /cloud products on my main hard drive which has just failed. I can't open the apps on that drive. How can I deauthorize them when the drive is damaged beyond repair and unresponsive?

Kay5000 you are posting in a pubic forum.
As Ankit stated please try installing and activating Creative Cloud on your replacement computer/hard drive.  If you have reached your maximum activation count then you will be prompted to deactivate all your activations.  This will then allow you to activate on the replacement computer/hard drive.
For Creative Suite 6 I would recommend that you try installing as well.  If you receive a message that you have exceeded your amount of allowable activations then please contact our support team directly.  Our support team will be able to increase your activation count and allow you to install on the replacement computer/hard drive.  You can contact our chat support at http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6 to make this request.

  • Payment for creative suite cloud

    Hi.
I'm a teacher and the school I work for would like to purchase the creative suite cloud subscription for me. They do not use credit cards. If they receive an invoice they can then make payment.
How would I go about doing this? Right now I'm being asked for a credit card to make a purchase.
    Any info would be great.
    Sincerely
    Virginia Valdes

    Hi Virginia,
Unfortunately I think the only payment method available currently is credit card. Hopefully we will have more payment options added in the future.
I'm not sure if this helps but we do have a product called Team Ready, its a transitional product until Creative Cloud Team becomes available.
Adobe Creative Cloud™ Team Ready is a Transactional Licensing Program (TLP) offering for small and medium businesses as well as teams within larger organizations. Businesses that purchase Creative Cloud Team Ready get immediate access to CS6 Master Collection plus access to additional tools and services, including Adobe Edge, Adobe Muse™, and Adobe Photoshop® Lightroom® (coming later in 2012), when they are available. This offer is available through Adobe's reseller partners only.
    That info was from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/companies.html
I'm not sure if payment options for that are different but it is sold through Adobe resellers, if it sounds like something you might be interested in.

  • Verizon Cloud media storage was removed

This message appears on my Razr M phone:
As you requested, access to your Verizon Cloud media storage was removed.  Please contact Customer Service if you would like to restore your previously backed up photos, videos, music, documents, messages and call logs.
Don't remember what I might have done to remove my access to media storage.  Contacting "Customer Service" is not likely to be of any help because I really don't want to spend a looooong time working through all the menus.
Anyone got an idea regarding what I might have done to create this situation and, more importantly,  how to reverse it?

        PaulWood,
You should definitely have access to your Cloud storage! Did you recently remove Verizon Cloud from your features? Did you happen to have the app on the phone and remove the app recently?

  • When I go in I cloud data storage, it says I have 3.3gb from an old phone which was replaced by a new phone. The new phone has 1.2gb of data. Can I now get rid of the data on the old phone from the i cloud.

When I go in I cloud data storage, it says I have 3.3gb from an old phone which was replaced by a new phone. The new phone has 1.2gb of data. So I now have a total of 4.5GB OF DATA stored. The Old phone is now with Apple and I deleted all the information.  Can I now get rid of the data on I cloud for the old phone. What data does the 3.3GB consist of? Is there anyway, I can find out?
    Thanks

When you delete an iCloud backup it is permanently deleted and not available in the future to restore from.  The backup of your second phone only contains the data and settings from that phone.  If any of this data was inherited from your first phone, it would be contained in the backup of your second phone as it was on your second phone when it was backed up.
If you want to keep backups of your old phone, back them up in iTunes and they will remain on your computer.  Even if you are backing up to iCloud, you can manually back up your phone in iTunes by right-clicking on the name of your phone on the left side of iTunes and selecting Back Up.  iTunes will see each device as a separate device, and will maintain the backups separately.  Do this with your first phone and you can then delete the iCloud backup and you will have the iTunes backup on your computer should you ever want to access it.

  • Cloud based storage for Ovi Store?

I just read about the Ovi Store keeping purchases for only 12 months? Seems unbelievable that it
would be that way. How about Nokia giving us Nokia users a minimum of 2GB of cloud storage so that the purchases can be backed up to and restored when necessary. At this point I can only back it up locally into my hard disk as a .nbu file.
The Ovi Store stopped allowing me to send a app (download to PC is broken) to my hard disk for later install. What options do we Nokia users have at this point?

Google drive.   However dont consider vital data or archives for use IN cloud based storage.
There is no such thing as a "cloud" reductively, its just anonymous server farms.
    Cloud based storage
    Drawbacks:
    1. Cloud storage can only be quasi-possessed.
    2. No genuine true security and privacy of data.
    3. Should never be considered for vital data storage or especially long-term.
    4. *Level-0 security of your vital data.
    Advantages:
    1. Quick, easy and cheap storage location for simplex files for transfer to keep on hand and yet off the computer.
    2. Easy source for small-file data sharing.

  • Creative Cloud Connection Storage Utilization Not Accurate or Updating

During the initial testing of the creative cloud connection we were asked to put as much as we could into the folder. I had just under 20GB and soon after I removed it all. I now have next to nothing in the folder. However my Creative Cloud Connection always shows that I am using all my 20GB of storage.

File deletion is a two-stage process. First you Archive the file (think Recycle Bin on Windows or Trash on Mac OS X). You then Permanently Delete the files from the Archive.
To the top left of the dark gray sidebar on the right are three view icons - Grid view (the default), List view, and Archive (trash can icon). Check that your Archive is empty.
