Creative cloud desktop not showing apps panel?

So, I'm running windows 8.1, and i want to trial photoshop, and possibly flash, because I've just got a wacom intuos pro and if i like the software I will subscribe.
My problem lies in there being no apps panel/tab in the desktop app, and the button that says "install adobe apps" does nothing.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Hi,
Please refer to threads below where this issue has been addressed:

  • Creative Cloud Desktop not showing updates available.

Several students in my design class are running into problems where their Creative Cloud Desktop is not showing that there are updates to their applications. I was discussing some new features released for CC 2014 last week at Adobe Max, and would require them to be running the 2014.2.x.x (or .1) versions of several applications. I verified that each student, for example, is still running Photoshop 2014.0.x. and I have .2.0.
On one students machine I had them uninstall and reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application – the new installer was downloaded from Adobe, so it should be the latest update.
Lastly, I had them remove the .db file from the OOBE folder in their Users director, to see if it would force a refresh – no effect.
I can't verify that this is consistent across all machines, but I think nearly all of them had started by installing the trial of CC2014 - and then subscribed (on my recommendation) in order to have the appropriate software for the course. I'd hate for them to all have to uninstall and reinstall from scratch...
    Thoughts?

    Hi,
    Try this :
    _Close CC desktop .
_ delete "AAMUpdaterInventory " et "AAMUpdater" (if present ) in :
    MAC :
    /Users/[User Name]/Library/Applicaiton Support /Adobe
    MAC HD//Bibliotheque/Application Support /Adobe
    WIn :
    C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    Launch CC desktop .
Try also to search for updates from applications help menu.
    Good luck .

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop is showing a blank screen at every launch (have tried multiple CleanerTool and OOBE-related methods)

**Background:** My computer, installed with Windows 7 is 2 weeks old. Yesterday I installed Creative Cloud Desktop, Premiere Pro and After Effects on my computer and everything went *absolutely* smoothly, not a bump. I did about ten hours work using these programs. Later that night, when I was about to go to sleep I went to my room and pressed the power button on my PC thinking I had left it on (just my memory, it had no lights on or anything) but it started turning itself on. Being tired, I immediately pressed the button again (I'm fairly sure the interval wasn't long enough for it to start updating).
This morning, I turn it on and Startup Repair appears, which recommends that I System Restore. So I do. It starts up fine this time, but said programs are gone and briefly I freak out about having lost all my work but the kind people in the reddit techsupport IRC chat here reminded stupid me of what I had forgotten, files stay in a System Restore.
**Problem:** So, I go to reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop. First of all, it fails to initialises (I had to go into Safe Mode to find out exactly what the problem was) but I used the Cleaner Tool and it completed the install eventually. But, when I start up the program, it briefly shows the loading symbol before going to a *completely* white screen, nothing on it at all. I have since used the Cleaner Tool again after the program being quite adamant about not being uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled and still, same problem. Then I searched through https://forums.adobe.com/message/5553596#5553596 and performed every solution in there, including changing the name of the opm file, changing the name of the OOBE folder and deleting the OOBE folder (all while the Creative Cloud app is not running including all processes killed). I uninstalled using the Cleaner Tool and reinstalled in-between all of these attempted solutions.
This has basically eaten up my workday so far.

I took another look at the creative cloud cleaner instructions and realized I wasnt running it correctly. I read the instructions too quickly. I got it up and running. I had forgotten to run as administrator.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud does not show all my apps as registered.

Adobe Creative Cloud properly shows my Adobe Photoshop CS6 as registered.  However, it does not show my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, or my Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.4 as registered.  How can I get these programs to be properly registerd as "MY APPS" in Adobe Creative Cloud?  I am running Windows 8 and have had photoshop for a number of years. I installed Acrobat XI Pro in December, but it has never been recognized in Adobe Creative Cloud as registered.

    Hey Pete,
I'm not sure why Acrobat XI is not recognized. It is on my system. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
You can uninstall through the OS
Control Panel > Programs & Features
and then reinstall it through the Creative Cloud app or https://creative.adobe.com/products

  • Creative Cloud does not show applications

My creative cloud app does not show any of my applications and does not allow me to do any updates. Please help.
    Thank you.

    Dear Mylenium and Jeff
I have now re-installed Acrobat Pro on my Vista based machine. I did it outside of the Cloud apps by downloading the trial package as it was explained to me in a support conversation / chat window that Adobe don't support Acrobat Pro 11 on Vista and it has never been tested.
Having managed to install it, I opened it and instantly I was offered the opportunity to download content - I declined - but I did checked and I was logged into my Adobe Creative Cloud account at the time - and the  Acrobat Pro installation is not telling me its in demo /  trial mode - it is properly installed.
While I am completely bemused at the statement that Adobe does not support Acrobat Pro on Vista I am satisfied it is working.
I did save the support chat text just in case anyone contested the facts.

  • Adobe CC desktop not displaying apps panel

Just downloaded free version of CC desktop app onto Macbook Pro running OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks).
Am trying to download trial version of Premiere Pro CC, but when I launch CC from the menu bar the Apps panel just shows a spinning wheel, as if it's trying to load the page but can't:
Have tried troubleshooting and IM'ing Adobe support, but still no joy. This is my first experience of Adobe and it's NOT GOOD! PLEASE COULD SOMEONE TRY TO HELP ME SOLVE THIS ASAP??! Thanks, and look forward to a quick response if poss!!
    Rob

OK. I've just spent approx. 35mins on the phone with a support technician, after initially being on hold for at least 20 mins!! ....so you have to be patient.... but the good news is that he took remote control of my machine AND HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM!!! (At least the panel apps problem. ...I haven't yet downloaded / installed any apps so only time will tell if they run ok on Mavericks, ....but the CC desktop app problem has been solved!) . Technician told me that Adobe released a new version of the CC desktop app just yesterday so that's why none of the current fixes posted online were working!! He had to change a bunch of permissions and rename a bunch of adobe folders on my machine to get the problem fixed!! He also recorded my log files so that he could inform Adobe of the problem!! ....Now I just have to install an application and hope it works as advertised!! (I'm not holding my breath but we'll see.....)
So, to recap, my advice is - Call TECH SUPPORT, be prepared to wait a while before you can speak to someone, and then try to be patient as they take control of your machine and rename the folders etc. (My engineer was called Anuj.) So far this has saved me from having to change my entire OS!!

  • My creative cloud will not download apps

I just purchased the cloud and am desperately trying to download the necessary apps to do work on.  The cloud seems to be frozen.

    Good Morning Jeff.
    In answer to your questions:
I am receiving no specific error messages.
    I am using iMac 2.8ghz core i7 on OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
One thing bothers me, though - when I go into the Adobe Creative Cloud App in my Applications folder it says both the Creative Cloud and Uninstall Creative Cloud are aliases. Would this be right? I seem to be able to download fonts, access the Community and Assets on my desktop window.
Still, today, I can access no apps. I can reach the apps area on the CC website but they only allow me to download trial versions of the programs i want to use. I have attempted to download a few times and I have let it run for over 5 hours. I use a modem with ADSL connection. From the CC website download calculations this is WAY to long to wait.
I want complete access to full programs. Is this not what I have paid for?! I am a sole trader design studio. Give me some help here. please. If this is NOT what I have paid for, please let me know what I need to do.

  • Creative Cloud Subscription not showing in "My Account"

My creative Cloud Subscription is not showing up in my account. Why is this? I am being billed for it.
I am moving from the USA to Vietnam next year? Will there be any issues with using my Creative Cloud subscription over there? Will there be a better close-by contact for support?

Is the Adobe ID you are using to post here the same one you are using for your Creative Cloud subscription? The Adobe ID used to post here does not show your subscription or that you have accepted the terms of use by signing in at https://creative.adobe.com. Please email me at [email protected] to confirm about the Adobe ID and share a screen shot of where it shows you are being billed. We will work to resolve the issue.
Alternatively you can contact Customer Support to resolve:
    Phone 800-833-6687, Monday-Friday, 5am-7pm PST
Live chat with an agent: http://tinyurl.com/8kquhso
As long as your Adobe ID and credit card have a US billing address then you will be fine using the service from Vietnam.

  • Re: New Creative Cloud Desktop not working

I have an older Mac (Late 2008 MacBook Pro, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)) and this spinning wheel problem persisted even with the recommended solution (those posted here: "Unknown Server Error" when you attempt to log in to Adobe Creative Cloud)). I already have several CS6 products installed.
I tried deleting all Adobe CC files on my computer (including uninstalling CC, deleting all CC files and folders), deleting the OOBE opm.db file, restarting, and re-downloading. Did NOT solve the problem.
Additionally, I had to delete Adobe Application Manager because upon restart it was maxing out my CPU and requiring me to force quit it, even after I uninstalled CC.

Branching this to a separate discussion.
Mclcm please see App doesn’t open | Progress wheel spins continually which discusses how to resolve your current error.

  • Why is my Creative Cloud desktop not working?

I have just bought CC and I went in to download Photoshop and then it says about the desktop application in which everytime I try download it, this message pops up:
Which gives me no indication on the error, and I honestly have no idea what to do about it!

    Hi Daniellewalka24,
Please rename OOBE Folder from the following location
    location in Window C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
After renaming the OOBE folder please uninstall Adobe creative cloud from the cleaner tool and re-installed the product from from www.creative.adobe.com/apps
PS: Please uninstall Creative cloud connection if you see in Cleaner tool.http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
As the above discusson also mentions renamimg, Please disable the firewall of the system & network & then retry.
You can also refer this link for more input: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-cc-installation- download.html
Incase the error still persists, then the next best step would be to review your installation logs to determine the exact point of failure.
Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5 -cs5.html for information on how to locate and interpret the

I purchased the Creative Cloud yearly subscription on Wed. However today when I log into my Creative Cloud account, it does not show my active membership, and wants me to upgrade.
How to I activate my paid subscription in my Creative Cloud account so I can utilize all the downloads, etc?

Once I received the verification email from Adobe and verified the account email address, the account updated to show a valid subscription. I can now download the software.

  • Creative cloud desktop not opening (seems to crash)

    Hi all,
yesterday I opened my creative cloud dekstop app and it asked me to update, So I did.
Running a Macbook Pro retina late 2013 with Yosemite 10.10.2.
Since the update the program wants to open and I see the CC sign in my menu on top but then it disappears.
The program won't open and nothing seems to work.
    I tried:
deleting the OOBE file in the library of adobe and then reopening/reinstalling, only reinstalling, rebooting, but all fails.
Any Idea how I can solve this? I've been searching forums and websites but nothing really does the trick...
    Kind regards,
    Tom

I'm having a very similar problem Tom. And unfortunately, I haven't found any help yet either.
