Creative Cloud Folder Sharing, movie playing, commenting

Hello,
Like almost everyone else who's had a go at Creative Cloud's file sharing, I am very disappointed. I currently use WireDrive for project sharing/approval, but it is very overpriced. The Cage system looks very attractive - it's a quarter of the price of WireDrive and allows all kinds of stuff that is not available on Creative Cloud. Having 100GB of Creative Cloud storage that is next-to-useless is frustrating.
The obvious shortcomings of Creative Cloud's setup are:
inability to share folders - this is just ridiculous, and Adobe have promised to fix this. "Soon". WHEN?!
cannot play QuickTime movies
cannot add comments at specific timecodes on movies
cannot add comments to specific parts of artwork (like Cage's excellent 'draw a box around something and add a comment' feature)
cannot "reply" to comments
cannot "mark comment as resolved"
cannot forward comments to peoples' email addresses (like the [email protected] feature in Google Drive)
no ability to add people to a 'project', and automoatically send notifications to them, like you can with WireDrive
I may be wrong on one or two of the above comments; CC's inability to share folders or play movies means I never use it.
Please Adobe, take a look at WireDrive.com and cageapp.com and see how the Creative Cloud file sharing should be done. As it is, your file sharing is really pointless. It could become a real reason for many, many people to give you their $50 / £47 per month. These other services (WireDrive, Cage, etc.) are very expensive for what you get - a bit of server space plus some fancy commenting. You could even take a load of Dropbox's business too.
I've noticed there is no obvious way to give Adobe feedback on Creative Cloud (at http://www.adobe.com/go/wish); maybe it's because it would be overwhelmingly negative.
I'd really love it if Adobe could reassure us that they are working on some/all of the above features, so we don't have to all go and spend extra money on other, unintegrated services like WireDrive and Cage. Anyone listening?
Thanks,
Paul

I wish the Adobeans in the Creative Cloud department would take a look at how wonderful the Adobe After Effects treat their customers, in terms of feedback, bugs, and feature requests. The After Effects crew are fantastic. The "Cloud" crew are....well......not.
It is just such a shame that After Effects is now part of this cloudy crap. Maybe if enough of us request that the After Effects people beat the crap out of the Cloud people, they'll probably go ahead and do it, just to keep us users happy.

  • How do I move my Muse file to the Creative Cloud folder without losing all the links to assets?

I'd like to keep my .muse files in the Creative Cloud folder so they will be accessible from anywhere, and always backed up. But I have many hundreds of links to image assets etc, and am worried that if I move the Muse file to the CC folder the links will be broken.
The links situation with Muse already seems worrying to me — my images are all arranged in folders but Muse seems unable to deal with this properly so can have trouble finding them. So if I move not only the Muse file but all the image files and folders, will Muse still be able to operate, or will I be faced with potentially having to spend many hours manually linking the image files?
Is there a recommended way of arranging assets etc when working with Muse using the Creative Cloud folder?
    Thanks

Move from the Creative Cloud to the Muse forum. They will be able to help you here with the issue of Muse finding your images.
The Creative Cloud file storage will do nothing to change any of your files, it will just store them. But you will not be able to make your Muse sight work from within the Creative Cloud.

  • Why are there no CC Apps in my Creative Cloud Folder?

Why are there no CC Apps in my Creative Cloud Folder? Just finished cramming Adobe Creative Cloud Flash Professional info. Tried to use it and found that it wasn't in my Apps Folder, nor anywhere else. During my search I discovered that none of the other CC apps were there either. All CS6 Pro apps are there, but no CC.

Could you try to scroll down a bit and look into the "Find New Apps" section. I have attached a screenshot for your reference.
In case you still do not see any CC applications, login to https://creative.adobe.com/products and try to download any CC app and then check if it gets installed and you see it under the "Your apps" section of CC desktop app.

How do I open the files that I have moved to creative cloud folder in Dreamweaver on the second computer?

    Hello catherine915,
On your second computer, launch the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Click on the gear icon to display the dropdown menu. Select the option: "Creative Cloud Files"
This will open up the Creative Cloud folder with all the files that you have synced over cloud.
    Hope this helps !

  • Location of creative cloud folder on MAC

    Hello,
Is there an option to place my creative cloud folder on my secondary internal hard drive. My boot drive is just for programs and my secondary drive is for my files, photos, assets.
    Thanks,
    Joey

    HI Nativejs,
You can perform a custom install with the Creative Cloud. Need to make sure that its not a case sensitive drive to install the software on. It would be best to install on the main hard drive if you can.
    Thanks

  • Creative Cloud Folder not syncing

The files inside my creative cloud folder start syncing then the app stops syncing, displaying the message, 'some files did not sync'. I have tried to enable and disable syncing, but it hasn't helped. Could anyone help?

    Hi Charles Kunene,
Please refer to the below mentioned link:

  • Creative Cloud Folder

My Creative Cloud folder says it's full even though there's 2MB file in the folder . It also gives me a CAUTION symbol and I can not add anything to my folder. Any idea why this is happening?

This could happen is your archive is full on the Creative Cloud website. Clearing this out might help. If this does not help please contact Adobe Support as your first point of contact.

  • Is my Creative Cloud folder the same as my local files folder?

I am just starting to trial Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver). I already have my local website files in a folder on my hard disk (Windows 7). Downloading CC Desktop has created a Creative Cloud folder. Should I use that folder now for my local files or can I continue to use my original folder (and have it synced)?

The syncing has nothing to do with DW's site setup. Feel free to use whatever folders you deem best.

  • What happens to my files on creative cloud folder after the end of my subscription?

What happens to my files on creative cloud folder after the end of my subscription?

Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud / Common Questions
"What happens to my files in the cloud if I cancel or downgrade my membership?
Your Creative Cloud files are stored on your desktop as well as on the Creative Cloud servers. If you cancel or downgrade your paid membership, you will still have access to all of the files in the Creative Cloud folder on your computer and via the Creative Cloud website.
Your account will be downgraded to a free membership, which includes 2GB of storage. If you’re using more than 2GB of storage, you will not be able to upload any new files to the cloud until the amount of online space used in your account drops below your allotted amount.
If you are over your storage limit, you have 90 days to reduce your online usage or you may lose access to some or all of your files saved on the Creative Cloud servers."

  • My creative Cloud folder is gone!

I update to the new creative cloud and I can't find my creative cloud folder that hold my files! It wasn't syncing for the last 3 weeks but I kept saving my files there. Now it's gone!!

It appears that since sync started working again and is now down again, the Creative Cloud Files folder on my local machine has been altered and files that I placed there in the last month or two have actually disappeared.  As in *gone*!  Nor are they on the server.  Instead, multiple copies of subfolders have been created, some of which contain duplicates of files, and some of which are empty.
This is a freaking mess.  Seriously, it's bad enough paying for vaporware and not getting any indication from Adobe about when sync is going to start and stop working, but I've actually LOST FILES.  Quite a few of them.  I'd love to hear from someone at Adobe and maybe find some way to recover these files.

  • How can I share a Creative-Cloud-FOLDER with my client?

I need to show my client a set of Illustrator Files (about 30) and it is very exhaustive (as well for me as for my client) to share one file after another. He must have about 30 links now...
Is it possible to share a complete folder, and if yes, how can I do that?
    Thanks!
    Best regards
    Tibor

    Hi Tibor,
Currently there is no way to share a folder but improved sharing and collaboration are coming.

  • I am missing about 15 of folders from my Creative Cloud folder

They are just GONE --- and the one folder that remains has has an "!" on every sub-folder and file so they aren't syncing properly. WHERE ARE THEY? I really need to access these files through my finder and not through the website. Please help. I've tried turning off/on the sync, but nothing changes!!!

Erin this may be the issue -
With the recent update of the Creative Cloud Desktop app (1.9.1.474) we unfortunately introduced a bug which causes the creation of a new Creative Cloud Files folder, and re-sync of all content. This will only occur the first time the sync application runs after the update. This has caused understandable pain and confusion, for which we truly apologise.
The Creative Cloud Files app contains logic that supports the use of multiple Adobe IDs. This allows you to sign out of one ID and in to another, but keeps your Creative Cloud content separate. When you sign out and change IDs, the app moves the previous Creative Cloud Files folder and it's contents and appends it with the previously signed in ID (User@AdobeID). It then creates a new main folder and starts to sync content of the new ID.
The bug which I mentioned previously occurs, as the app believes an ID switch has taken place and as such, moves the current Creative Cloud Files folder and tries to append the previously signed in ID. As no switch has actually taken place it manifests as (Unknown).  The app then creates a new main folder at syncs down the data.
Essentially what you end up with is a Creative Cloud Files folder with your newly sync'd data and a Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder that contains duplicate data.
This occurs once, after the last update completes.
The fix is to simply delete the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
I would advise that you ensure you have no pending edits that you may have made offline and that you check the contents of the new, main Creative Cloud Files folder contains everything you expect it to.  If not, check the contents of the Creative Cloud Files (Unknown) folder.
If there is still a discrepancy with your data, you can check on creative.adobe.com to confirm your data is there.
If you have any further problems or questions about this particular issue please email [email protected]

  • Creative Cloud Video Sharing Features

    Hi there,
I run a boutique video production company and I'm a CC subscriber. Does anyone know if Adobe is looking to add video sharing features like they have for PSD, AI, and Web Designs?
For me it would be great to show a client a rough cut via Adobe's site and get comments through the site as opposed to an FTP upload and bouncing emails back and forth.
    Thanks!
    A.

This feature of sharing video is not yet part of creative cloud.
However we take this as a feedback for continous improvement for CCM.
Please feel free to log the same as a feature request in the form given in the link below:

    Thanks

  • Hi, I cancelled by mistake a folder from my macbook's creative cloud folder.

This folder was already synced on the cloud and I can see it is still there as I paused the syncing as soon as I realised I deleted the folder by mistake. How can I download the folder from the cloud storage to my machine?

When you delete a file / folder in the Creative Cloud Files folder it is moved to the Archive. The Archive is only visible from a browser at https://creative.adobe.com/archive. Select the file(s) / folder(s) you want to keep and select Restore to move them to the Files page at https://creative.adobe.com/files. They will then sync back down to the Creative Cloud Files folder on your computer.
