Creative cloud installer download error

Hello,
one of the persons in my Adobe Creative Cloud team installed all programs from the package, but Photoshop does not appear in the Applications folder on her mac after this.
In the Adobe Creative Cloud program, whenever we go to the Apps pane, we get the Download Error below.
So it is impossible to try to reinstall Photoshop.
Is something wrong with the download server?
She has +200Gb free space on her computer, so that's not the problem.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Creative Cloud program (not the individual CC programs), but it still fails like this.
Do i really have to completely uninstall the whole suite and reinstall it agin? The download takes very long...
/Peter

Hi datpete,
Can you please try downloading in root account: Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X.
If still the same issue then kindly refer the article: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/cc-desktop-download-error.html.
Additionally you may even try the direct download: Download New Adobe CC Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant/Manager) | ProDesignTools.
Note: Kindly follow the very important instructions before download.

Romit Sinha

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your feedback, I managed to workout the problem.
I went to info on my 'Adobe' folder within the 'Applications' folder on my
harddrive and found that my 'Sharing and permissions' on the 'admin'
    option was read only.
I unlocked the Adobe folder and changed my admin privileges to read and

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Apps "Download Error"

I wonder if anyone can help?
I recently migrated my iMac, which had Creative Cloud setup all fine, to a new iMac. Both run OSX Mavericks.
The new one was having initial problems opening any creative cloud apps that had been migrated over, including CC Manager itself.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but no change. I resorted to manually binning all Adobe files and starting again.
This appeared to initially work and I downloaded CC manager, got that running without errors and also downloaded Photoshop without a problem.
However, there was a Photoshop 'Update' available almost immediately which I downloaded and since doing this, I now get an error on the CC Manager's 'Apps' tab.
I have tried the 'Reload Applications' button but that has no effect.
My Photoshop still appears to be working fine but I yet need to download Indesign and Flash and others from CC Manager.
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

  • Re: Creative Cloud Installation - 60 Error

    Hello,
I'm having the same problem with the installation of the new Lightroom CC 2015...
The application Creative Cloud can't seem to download it because apparently "the download is corrupted (-error 60).
I've already tried to disconnect and sign in again to my account, but it doesn't seem to work...
About your option to download the trial version, it seems only possible to do it by Creative Cloud, so it's a dead end...
Any thoughts about resolving this issue?
    Thank you.

    Hello,
Thank you both for the reply. So, i checked the page that you recomended and it takes me back to my previous post...
So, as recommended for those who're having problems downloading the applications though Creative Cloud, i followed the instructions and downloaded and installed the Lightroom cc trial version and tried to validade the licence, but, apparently this conversion is not possible with applications such as Muse, Lightroom, etc... Convert Creative Suite 6 applications to Creative Cloud membership
Having that said, the problem remains... My creative cloud manager cant seem to recognize the trial program that i've installed, and for now, i'm limited to the LT 30 day version...
Any thoughts on how to apply the licence to the trial installation or how to resolve this issue?
    Thank you.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop Download Error.

I cannot install any applications because all I get is this screen:
I've been through all the suggested troublshooting and nothing works.

If the document that Mylenium has suggested doesn't work, I suggest you try the following steps and let us know of the result.
    1) Remove Creative Cloud Desktop Application from your machine by going to control panel.
( Only do the following steps if you have absolutely no other Adobe applications installed on the machine).
    2) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and rename the folder to Adobe_old
    3) Navigate to C:\Program Files \Common Files\Adobe and rename it to Adobe _old
    4) Navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Adobe and rename this to Adobe_old.
Post trying the above, please Download Creative CLoud Desktop Application from this link : Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial and try the installation again.
Oh and yes, do not forget to turn off the Antivirus post installation to make sure your Antivirus is not blocking the application to connect to us.

  • Creative Cloud Manager - Download Error - cannot update apps

This is an ongoing issue for me.  Whether it's AAM or the new CCM, when I attempt to access apps and updates I receive a Download Error message (see pic) which will not allow me to update or download apps.
After experiencing this with the AAM in May, Adobe support provided me with a work around which amounted to creating a new user on my machine and installing the AAM for that user.  I was then able to update the apps I'd installed previously and install two more apps on my machine.
Now I'm experiencing this issue again - still for the default user on my machine and now for the new fake user I created per Adobe support's instructions.
I'm using Windows 8, Google Chrome browser (I can't update the apps through Adobe, either).
I'd love to get a handle on this issue and get it corrected once and for all and, hopefully, without having to create another 'ghost' user so I can update and install apps.
    Thanks.

For my particular issue I finally found a discussion from another user who was experiencing what seemed to be a similar problem.  I'm not sure why the AAMUdater folder is wreaking such havoc for some people but not for others.  'Tis a mystery.
I had to unhide the appdata folder (I'm in windows 8):
    Windows key + R
    Type in 'explorer'
    Click on 'View' tab
Tick box next to 'hidden' to unhide
Then I was able to find the AAMUpdater folder:
    users/myname/appdata/local/Adobe/AAMUpdate.
I renamed the AAMUpdater folder to oldAAMUpdater (just to make sure this was the issue) and et voila!  Success.  I could open the Creative Cloud Manager and update existing apps and download new apps.
Thank you, David, for your suggestion.  Since I wasn't having a server error I didn't think that fix would pertain to my issue of the anonymous download error.

  • Creative Cloud says 'Download Error' and will not reload applications

I need the newest version of Premiere CC and my adobe creative cloud desktop application manager refuses to connect for updates, I have internet connection and valid creative cloud account. Im stuck on premiere version 7.2.2 and I need to be able to open projects created with the newer verison 8. Ive tried signing out and back in to the cloud account as well as re-downloading it.

Have you tried these steps :
    1.  Navigate to Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE and rename it to OOBE.old
    2. Enable root account: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 and log on to root
    3. Disable any security software if installed on Mac
    4.Delete opm.db file located at :MAC : ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
(opm.db file is present in your user library. This library is hidden from MAC 10.7 onwards.
So in order to locate that,
Click on Go at the top
    Select Go to folder
    type ~/library/
This will take you to the library folder and then you can locate opm.db file at Application Support/Adobe)
    5. Download CC desktop from www.creative.adobe.com and try to install it. Incase you are not successfull then please Check the Activity Monitor and see if AAM process is running, if yes then try to kill the process.opm.db file needs to be deleted in order to process further. WIN 7 and 8 (64 bit):
Rename OOBE to OOBE_old located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    Relaunch the Browser
    Go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Sign in with Adobe ID and password and download CC desktop app.
    Please refer to http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-cc-installation-download.html
In case the issue is still not resolved , you can contact Adobe Support.
