Creative Cloud interferes with reinstallation of other licensed Adobe product

I have a number of Mac computers used by staff, all of which have Acrobat 11 Pro installed.  The Acrobat software was purchased separately over several years from Adobe store and are licensed.  On my computer I also installed Creative Cloud.  I needed to reinstall Acrobat 11 Pro on one of the staff computers this last week (a replacement computer) and now find that it can't be opened on the replacement computer because Creative Cloud keeps giving the message about 2 computers already using, etc.  Creative Cloud was not installed on the replacement computer.  BUT, the Adobe ID used is the same as for all of the computers, including the one I use that has Creative Cloud.  This is a problem where you are prevented from using a licensed, purchased product, because of Creative Cloud interfering.  How do you get around this problem?  It seems to only affect Acrobat 11 Pro - using Acrobat 9 Pro works on the same machine.  Suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback.  But, I "think" I was able to resolve the issue and it may have been my own oversight in doing the reinstall.  My resolution was to uninstall Adobe Acrobat XI Pro from Applications; then delete related folders including Adobe Application Manager and Adobe Creative Cloud (that had magically appeared) in the Utilities folder, then restart the machine, empty trash, and then reinstall Acrobat XI Pro.  After the reinstall, entering the serial number, and then loading the application, I encountered the already used 2 licenses screen again: this time I selected to remove the other licenses and went forward.  All seems fine (at the moment).  I am thinking that perhaps the issue was that prior installs of the application using the same license (prior machines) was preventing the licensing of the reinstall (this was my oversight).  At the moment, other machines with their own installs seem to be okay.  Time will tell!  I will make a note of your suggestion regarding "Cloud takes over" to visit it if my resolution is premature ....

  • Is it possible to use creative cloud online with both Mac/windows system (on the same computer, bootcamp) without paying twice ?

Hello, I work with a Macbook pro, divided into mac and win 8 (with Bootcamp), is it possible to use Creative Cloud subscription with both system without paying twice.
Bonjour, J'utilise un Macbook pro partitionné Bootcamp mac et windows 8, est-il possible que l'abonnement à Creative Cloud en ligne fonctionne indifféremment dans les deux systemes (sur le même ordi), sans payer deux fois.
    Merci,
    jho

Your subscription allows for two functioning installations (normally on separate machines, but I imagine you could install the two as you indicate).

  • How can a child below 13 use a Creative Cloud ID with parental permission?

How can a child below 13 use a Creative Cloud ID with parental permission?(I do not mean using parental account directly, if any other option is available)

I suspect that the issue is that Adobe likely doesn't issue Adobe IDs to children under 13, because of COPPA.  Given the nature of Adobe's products, the potential legitimate userbase of under-13s is small, and the compliance costs could be very high.  Bear in mind that a kid under 13 can't legally sign up for a Facebook account, with or without parental permission, either, because FB doesn't want the liability for compliance if it knowingly signed up under-13-year-olds.

  • I am planning buy an individual package of adobe creative cloud. my question is whether single license in enough for two of my system?

I am planning buy an individual package of adobe creative cloud. my question is whether single license in enough for two of my system?

    Hi Elbethel and John,
A ccording to New End User License Agreement, You can install any Adobe License be it CC or CS6, on two machines.
Which means your CC can be active on two machine at a time, but you can not use both machine at the same time.
    I hope it helps.
P.S. when using the adobe forums, please mark helpful/correct responses of Staff or helper, if there are any.

  • Lightroom 5 available as free download for Creative Cloud members, and as a perpetual license

I was told that Lightroom 5 is now available as free download for Creative Cloud members, and as a perpetual license. How do I take advantage of this? I have creative cloud, and lightroom 4, but I dont know how to get the perpetual license.  I am also a student.

    Hi,
You dont need perpetual license. Creative cloud membership entitles you to get Lightroom 5. Please do check that you meet the the system requirements of Lightroom: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html. If you don't have Creative cloud Membership, you can get the perpetual licence/subscription of Lightroom 5 from the link I just gave.

  • Creative Cloud package with Lightroom 4?

I am interested in buying the Creative Cloud package with Lightroom and Photoshop, but my operating system will not support Lightroom 5. Can I download an older version with this package or do I need to update my operating system first?

Windows Vista. It's a desktop that hasn't been used much for years, but now I need it for editing on the two large monitors (our other conputer is a laptop). I plan to upgrade to Windows 8.1, I'm just not sure when.
