Creative Cloud is suddenely a trial version?

Really? What is Adobe doing?
Seems as tho' others are experiencing the same issue. MAC and PC....
[groan]
First they launch updates that disable 3D in Ps CS6 EXT and now I'm getting these alerts on other CC apps as well (Ai and Id) to register and buy? I don't have a trial version.
I have been paying FULL price for a registered Creative Cloud subscription as listed in "My subscriptions & services".
Merry Christmas, Adobe.

There has been much discussion on the full-paid PS reverting to trial, both for perpetual licenses, and the Creative Cloud.
Here are some of the threads:

If you paid for a subscription you don't need the trial. Log in with the Adobe ID associated with your subscription to activate the program.

  • Creative Cloud Photoshop show as trial version on start up

I purchased Creative Cloud membership the other day and everything went fine with the instalation, but now when I start Photoshop it shows a screen saying that I have 29 days left on the trail version. Is this normal, if not, what can I do to correct it.

Try logging with Adobe ID at the launch and it should work fine for you....
    Thanks

  • Installing AI with Creative Cloud account - still says trial.

When I try to activate my AI through my CC acct it still thinks that it is a trial version. I have an annual $49.99 CC plan, so can I use AI too?
    Thank you.

Thanks for the tip, but I still can't find where to resolve this problem.
Is there a specific link within the page you mention?

  • How did my Creative Cloud subscription suddenly become a trial version?

I have had a Creative cloud subscription goig on one year. Now, when I open PS6 I am getting a message that I am in a trial version, inviting me to subscribe. Not only that, I get to subscribe for $20.00 a month more than my current subscription rate of $29.99. Please advise how I suddenly found myself in a trial version and why my rate is being increased

This is probably related to the issues here:

You'll probably need to log in to the CC app again - and again - and again!

  • Creative Cloud - restricting use of older versions and forcing use of latest versions - NO THANKS!

I am a long-time customer of Adobe Products.  I have a unique roll as a Graphics management position, while also functioning as our company's IT administrator.  At home, for messing around, sure, creative cloud could be usable,  however, in my fairly demanding work environment, we encounter issues like OSX compatibility, occasionally needing to work from a PC, opening files from 2005, and relying on a specific workflows our business has built on foundations like Distiller PDF workflows etc.  When you force upgrades to newer versions, you dissuade us from being interested in the Creative Cloud platform.  It's really a shame, because small businesses like ours would benefit a lot from a neccesary "subscription"  so the newest adobe products are always available, where otherwise, convincing our company owner that a fairly pricey upgrade is neccesary because of a given set of features.  If the features aren't something the owner sees as a neccesity, there is really no reason for us to upgrade, so we drag things out.  For example, we are still on CS3 right now, and we will be making the jump to CS6 out of neccesity (CS3 will not allow us to edit old pagemaker files that have suddenly become our responsibility without crashing, where the CS6 trial handled it wonderfully).
The creative cloud is a nice thought that would overcome a lot of 'upgrade' obsticles in the long-term for those of us in the small-business venture, but the version restrictions are too harsh.  In the accounting world there is a general rule that you can expunge data older than 7 years old, but if you get rid of that data before those 7 years are up you often find yourself in trouble.  Software is often the same way when you work with such a wide-array of tools as the adobe creative suite provides.  We essentially end up with what equates to a giant database of images, videos, and other files of misc origin and formats that we need a way to manage.  If we encounter problems (Much like I did recently where CS3 would not open the pagemaker files) and know we can count on another version of that same software (CS6, in this case) to open those same files, then why would you ever want to take those options away from a customer?  We will be paying the same fee regardless of what old versions we use, and while in the scenerio I give, the newer version of the software is the resolution to the problem, there is an equal liklihood of encountering a scenerio where the newer software wont allow me to open a file, but the older version will.
I just don't understand, what's the harm?  You don't need to "support" those old versions, but they should ALWAYS be available for download and use on systems that can use them, ESPECIALLY in the style of environment you are offering where the old versions won't appeal to everyone, so it won't waste bandwidth or require a tremendous ammount of storage & serving on your part.
What gives adobe?  I want Creative Cloud to succeed as much as you!  But I need it to work for me!

    Hi Fujilives,
I copied this from the Creative Cloud FAQ
Q:I am a Creative Cloud member using the CS6 applications included in my membership. Will I lose access to CS6 when CS7 becomes available in Creative Cloud? A: No, if you have downloaded and installed the CS6 versions of the applications, you will continue to have access to them without interruption as long as your membership remains active. When the CS7 versions become available, you will have up to a year to download and install them and they will run on your machine along with CS6 versions.
So we are planning to give users access to and the ability to use the versions they started with even after new versions come out (you don't have to upgrade) but it wasn't possible to include access to older versions with the launch of this product (that I'm aware of). But I understand the need for some users to have access to older verisons based on your explanation. I'll pass along your feedback.

  • Creative Cloud Dreamweaver suddenly inaccessible. AAARGH.

I have Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 via Creative Cloud (paying $19.99/mo via automatic debits w/ 12-month commitment). I've been paying now for 4 months. My last payment was deducted from my bank account 7 days ago.
I had no trouble starting and using Dreamweaver yesterday or day before, etc.
But tonight, it will not start.
First, it suggests I'm not subscribed. So I click "Try Again" then a window appears after a minute saying all is well, it found my subscription to be current, and to press 'Continue' to use the software. So I press 'continue'. As you might guess, I end up at the first window again.
This cycle repeats so long as I'm willing to press the buttons.
    Restarting doesn't help.
I even found two xml-ish files on my drive, generated by Adobe. One is dated 1/29 and the activation tag lists "serialized". But the same type of file generated on 2/1 (tonight) has "unlicensed" listed in the activation tag.
I tried chat, and waited over 30 mins to hear my subscription is valid (as I explained to then with my opening statement in the chat session), and I was told it's a technical problem requiring that I call during business days and business hours.
This is INFURIATING!! I was not even offered any sort of credit that would mean anything. (When I raised this issue, I was informed that the appropriate dept might look into a credit for the period without access to DW CS6 -- which would mean a rebate of pennies, if tech support gets DW started for me in the morning.)
I feel powerless. And because I made the mistake of learning and using the rather complicated DW template system -- to its fullest extent -- I really cannot update my site fully using just text editor and FTP application. Some aspects of the DW template system can only be controlled via the DW menu  -- specifically, Modify > Template > Properties, if I remember correctly. (I cannot open DW to confirm the menu command sequence.)
Of course, I shouldn't have to resort to a simple text editor if I don't want to do so, given that I'm paying $19.99/mo for Dreamweaver access -- 24/7 (supposedly).
This is not a problem I would encounter if I were able to purchase this version of Dreamweaver with an indefinite license.
I went the Cloud route 4 months ago because full HTML 5 support was only available in the Cloud version -- Adobe had chosen not to make the latest and most desirable update patch available to people with an indefinite license. At least at that time. Is this still true??
Please let me know the latest version & build number available to people who pay the full price for an indefinite license.
    Steve
PS: I'm downloading a new trial. Don't know if I'll even be able to install it.
PPS: And if I *must* uninstall + reininstall DW CS6, and re-download all the updates, and re-configure Dreamweaver (including its layout for my 2 monitors and my work style, not to mention all the other settings) I will absolutely go ballistic.
Adobe, if you are listening, this is UNACCEPTABLE. At the very least, with a subscription service, tech support should be 24 hours, 7 days & nights per week. And it needs to be GOOD tech support.

If you use Photoshop at all, you may need to install the latest update to resolve this issue. See this blog post for more information:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2013/01/photoshop-13-0-413-1-2-updat es-now-available.html
In any case, make sure that the Adobe Application Manager is fully updated, and then click License This Software and sign in: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html

  • Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium trial version says my serial number is invalid?

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium from my my community college's bookstore in 2010. I successfully have used it all this time, but I recently bought a new laptop. This new laptop does not have a disk drive, but I was able to download the trial version of it online. It downloaded great, and I have been using the trial version, but the trial is up in one week. I deactivated my serial number on my old laptop, and then tried to enter it onto my new laptop, but the error message keeps saying "Incorrect Serial Number": "The serial number you entered is not valid." However, the serial number is definitely valid, and I spoke with Adobe and they just checked and were able to see that I do have an activation available for this serial number. Why won't it accept it?
    Side Notes:
    The licensing is Student Licensing
I downloaded the correct creative suite (Creative Suite 4 Design Premium)
I typed in the serial number correctly and checked multiple times
I cannot afford to purchase an updated version nor Adobe Creative Cloud at this time
Someone please help!! I am very frustrated and the person on Adobe Chat said they do not offer any technical assistance for older products.... Any help is MUCH appreciated!!

Same thing happened to me, except I lost disk 2 and was told to go to the forums.. Seems Adobe isn't too great on their customer service or fixing issues.  The problem I was told, was that we have "Student" serials and the one from the download isnt a student version.

  • Why is my paid Creative Cloud Membership running in Trial Mode?

I have applied suggestion found in Help and Forum. Nothing Works.
    Suggestion 1.
Unistall Adobe Creative Cloud reboot computer reinstall. Sign into Adobe with account. Done. Ground Hog Day. Same result. Trial Mode still
    Suggestion 2.
    Download and run Appliaction Manager.
Deactivate software. Not possiable. Option NOT - note again NOT available. So why does the Help Page suggest an option that does not exist.
I cannot believe how out of touch you guys are.

You are talking to other forum members, here, although Adobe may peek in from time to time.
Deactivating is a possibility with PS-CS6 and other non-Cloud products.  Without knowing what Help page you’re viewing it’s hard to judge how applicable it is.
Deactivating a Cloud-licensed app is as simple as signing out of the Create Cloud Desktop app.  Presumably you’ve done this multiple times.
If you haven’t yet, do a right-click Run as Administrator on the PS-CC shortcut to make sure it has complete access to update things.
Try a modified version of Suggestion 2, after uninstalling, run the CC Cleaner app, then sign out of the CC Desktop app, then reboot and sign into the CC Desktop app if necessary, then reinstall.
The CC Cleaner app is available, here:

  • Photoshop CS6 suddenly a trial version of Extended.

Launched Photoshop CS6 this morning, and suddenly it is a trial version of CS6 Extended. I did not ask for this, I do not want this, I bought, paid for and registered the regular version on the day it was released. I am not renting the software via that stupid creative clod thing, I bought it the regular way. What is happening here? Is this going to happen every time they release a minor update? How do I make it go away?

    Sunday, December 16,2012 @ 7;45 a.m. EST
    HelloEveryone,
Now I'm starting to get a bit more irritated.
As the famous NY Yankees catcher once said (No disrespect to you Yogi Berra) - "It's not over 'til it's over".
I've already posted here and several other palces with this problem!
I purchased a full-paid for or so I thought license from Adobe for a standalone CS6 Photoshop.
I went through previous problems, and now I have this one:
I'm just goint to let the screencaptures do the talking for me.
    1. The latest notice -
You can try this product for 32767 days.
You can continue to use Adobe Photoshop CS6 after your trial period by purchasing the software.
      2.
    3. I don't have the Photoshop Extended Trial. I downloaded the trial, then uninstalled it.
I can't find it anywhere onmy computer. I looked again, based on someone giving me
expert advise as to where to look, and where to do the uninstalling.
    4.
    5. My Photoshop copy -paid in full - not licensed and not the Extended version.
    6. Screen-capture asking me to fill in my serial number
A few days ago, after speaking with an Adobe rep on Chat, I was advised to enter my        PS6 standalone serial number, and so I did this today.
7.I added my s/n  (most numbers removed to hide my s/n)
    Photoshop now works.
    The questions now are:
    1. Exactly what did I pay for?
    2. Where is the "contratc" from Adobe to show me that I did not pay for a full copy, but a     32767 day "trial" version (not that I'm goin to live that many years!).
    3. How many times is this "irritation" going to continue to happen before some Adobe rep     helps here!
